This is a less than one star rating due to the lack of amenities and things promised. Paying for an all inclusive resort but multlpe bars and resturants on the property were not open nor available. As a Luxury guest I was informed on check in that I could eat anywhere on the property but of the only two buffet restaurants open we were turned away from one. We arrived on Saturday Oct 25 and yes Hurricane Melissa was forcasted but all al a cart resturants were closed as well as multiple bars. Alcohol was being sold as an upgrade by certain bartenders and others served everything. After the hurricane and we were stranded by cancelled flights the hotel still charged full price for the extra nights that we had to stay waiting for the airports to open back up. No discounts were given and no amenities were available.

the room was great. The staff was inconsiderate after a fall and requested a wheel chair. The nurse only recommended going to the hospital, Staff member went out of his way to get me an ace bandage. No food on the \"LUXURY\" side. Torey Patterson and Briana at the front desk wanted to charge us $290 deposit and $50 a day for a wheel chair. The young lady the next day had a free wheel chair brought to our room. Orlando McIntosh treated us like family, cared for us in every way bringing me ice for my foot every 2 hours!!!

My check-in was at 3pm, my room was not ready until 5 pm. The beds need to be changed in certain rooms, when you lay on them it sounds like plastic wrap. The food was NOT good but the employees were nice. I do not recommend unless it's a free experience and you have a private driver. I hear it's under new management starting Jan 2026 but I'm not eager to see any improvements.

Second time there, I went to the family side first & enjoyed it there, but ooh no adults luxury lame. They needed more activity with staff entertaining the guests. Like the rue and other's hotels. Food wasn't soo bad just but salty. But the stuff was excellent 👌

Overall, our experience was good. The hotel staff was superb! The cleaning service initially was lacking until I received a courtesy call and complained how our rooms weren’t being cleaned until after 5:00 PM when we were coming back from the pool. Once the complaint was made, the service was impeccable thereafter. One major complaint I will say I was very disappointed in was the lack of reservations we could make for dinner. We tried making reservations days before we even arrived at the property and everything was booked up. We had to eat at the buffet for the most of the time which was on repeat, so the food choices were the same daily and boring. After repeatedly checking in with the concierge, we were able to gain three reservations at the restaurants, And they were MUCH better than the buffet. I was slightly disappointed in the beach as there wasn’t much in the way of swimming outward to the open sea as it was blocked in by a rock wall. The depth of the water that was swimmable was very shallow. So we spent most of the time at the pool and the swim up bar, (which was amazing). It was a nice experience, but I don’t think I would come back to the same resort next time.

I had a great time from check in to check out. My room was upgraded to an ocean view room. The staff made us feel like family. The only downside was we were about 30 minutes away from Ocho Rios, but there are drivers that will take care of you all weekend. We stayed on the adults only resort which I recommend for those who dont want to be around children. The food was good! Im upset I couldnt find oxtail!

The beach was awful too many rocks to enjoy the water, the pool closed every time there was thunder and I understand it’s for safety but it wasn’t reopened after thunder/rain passed so if you don’t get to the pool by 10am you won’t get to enjoy it or any of the activities, once the pool is closed so are all activities all you can do is drink (by the way this is the only all inclusive I’ve been to where you have to pay for so called premium drinks that each bar charged a different price for). The shuttle needs to run more often especially at night and during dinner.
There needs to be more nightlife, there was no club/disco as advertised, there where restaurants advertised on the web site that didn’t exist, I ordered breakfast at 8am to arrive at 9am, at 9:10 am I called the front desk to see where my order was and was asked did I call it in or use the app, I told her I used the app, she check and said the food should arrive shortly, I know she just put the order in the food didn’t arrive til almost 10am, this was very rude she should’ve told the truth that the order was never placed and if I still wanted it, I had arrangements for that day that’s why I ordered the food at that time, if no one is going to check the app for orders then remove it. Also the tile is not safe when wet I don’t know who the designer was but they picked an awful probably the cheapest tile there is, my daughter slip on the tile and fell down the stairs, also the was a leak from the ceil in her bathroom.

The staff was not very friendly some of them wouldn’t even speak to you. When I arrived I felt like I was an outsider and not a guest I had to wait for 20 minutes to be shown to my room after a 15 hour long trip, while I waited I witnessed some guest getting hand towels and a welcome drink, I got a towel which was refreshing but I had to go find my own drink as I waited. There was a lot of things I missed out on because I was not aware or informed it was on property. The WiFi wasn’t that good and I was trying to follow the app for things to do because there were no printed itineraries and the few restaurants were completely booked and the one restaurant I did get in was horrible experience and I paid for Lobster Dinner on my Birthday on the beach that menu was terrible I could’ve just eaten at the buffet so it wasn’t really a good experience for me to be celebrating my Birthday alone. I expected better and got the opposite result.

The room was clean, comfy and cool. The view was amazing, had a view of the pool, ocean and the landscape from my bed. It was simply amazing. The staff, I must shout out our guest service attendant Holly, she was simply divine. (Pun intended). She ensured we knew all our benefits, her warm personality made the stay just that extra nice, she is the best!!!!

The food was great, hot food were hot and cold food cold, many other hotels we have been to struggle to keep the temperature of the buffet food. My only issue was with the labelling of food being misplaced or not sufficient with information, especially for persons with strict diet, however the staff are kind enough to point out what each dish is if asked. The beach is not what it use to be years ago, but it's still a nice place to swim and the water is clear enough. There is also underground rivers running into the ocean so you will if lucky feel those nice cold spots.

Room service was really good and the meal options great... All in all the experience was excellent and the staff at this resort are wonderful and friendly.

Property itself is beautiful, however the cracks are showing from age. Staff is great, management is clearly not.
Splashes of paint EVERYWHERE - on furniture, plants, walkways because zero care is given during the painting process.

I get that it's off season, but I still paid a good amount of money only to discover half the restaurants closed, and the ones open with skeleton crews running them. How do you shut down TWO of the sit down options for renovation at the same time???

Literally were only able to have one non-buffet meal the entire week.

Safe in every room in our party was non functional.
Doubt very much I will return.

The property was absolutely beautiful. What made this place special was the incredible staff. We arrive for my husband birthday, things wasn’t set up as prior request, however the staff made up for that. Tamika Parke went above and beyond to ensure that our room was set up correctly. She took great care of us and that made it extra special. I can’t leave out Holly Aldridge and Deshane. I also want to say a BIG thank you to Kacey the bell man he was the best. To management these are the kid of people you need to keep. They made the trip extra special.

This was a total disappointment! The other incident could have been by mistake; we left money on the dresser while enjoying the resort and it was gone after house cleaning. Beautiful property! Not too many people so very relaxing stay. Nice hotel rooms however many things that were asked to be fixed were not fixed. For example, the shower head broke off night one and was not fixed even after multiple asks.
Staff was nice, however seemed more “tip driven” and as if they did not want to have to be nice to us.
Best part of the trip was the views, clean beaches, and the food!

We arrived and our room was dirty. We called 4 times for housekeeping in a space of 4 hours. After the last call and while i went looking for cleaning supplies myself, someone finally showed up to clean. She expressed that was the first she heard of it. This was the start of our service and communication problems at the resort. Only 1 pool was available. 1 pool and bar were closed the whole time we were there. It was almost impossible to book any a la cartes. Most nights at least 2 were closed. Other nights, 4 or 5 restos closed. Food at the restaurants were sub par and the buffet had the best tasting and selection of food. None of these closures were communicated to us before our trip. It was very rare to find anyone that truly cared about service and quality. The drinks were terrible and we did not have more than 2 drinks by the pool all week as they were so terrible. Errol at the front bar and Melisia at the breakfast buffet were by far the best employees the resort has and both should be teaching everyone else what customer service is. We will have to contact Grupo Pinero to let them know the full extent of the issues we experienced.

I was apprehensive to book because some of the reviews were bad. But I can assume it’s because it was high season and when a resort this big, is at max; there’s going to be downfalls. We experienced none of that and had the most amazing time. From the bar tenders to the cleaning ladies. They were all very hospitable and welcoming. The entertainment people worked hard to keep us entertained and engaged. The drinks and food were endless and so much. While the beach area on the luxury side is small, you could snorkel and see the wild quite easily near the rocks. I want to throw a special thank you to our bartenders Kamesha and Gary- thank you for watching after our adult children while they were having the time of their lives. We will be back next year, we hope!! Yeah Mon!! Such a beautiful adventure!! And the staff of Bahia made it perfect!! Thank you!!

The property has great potential, but it definitely needs renovations. The rooms felt dated and weren’t very clean, and there was noticeable mold in the shower. The air conditioner also didn’t work well, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable.

On the positive side, the sea views from the room were absolutely stunning, the staff was very hospitable, and the service was excellent. The food, however, was not the greatest and could use improvement.

Overall, I would consider visiting again once the property is renovated because the location and service truly stand out.

Bahia Principe Luxury is absolutely beautiful. As soon as I stepped into the reception area it took my breath away. So so beautiful. The property is well maintained. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Shaunte the reservationist for the excursions was super helpful. The most friendliest people I have ever met. I would definitely recommend that anyone coming to Jamaica stay at this resort.

Our stay at this resort was extremely frustrating and far below what one would expect from a place that markets itself as “luxury.” From the very beginning, we were treated rudely by almost all of the staff. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated case: about 99% of the employees we interacted with were rude, and after speaking with other guests, we heard the same complaints. This shows that the problem is not occasional but systemic.

The food was also very disappointing, completely unworthy of the price charged or the resort’s image. We tried to book tables at the on-site restaurants, but were told there was no availability for any of the days of our stay. In other words, we paid for an experience that simply did not exist.

I don’t know if the staff is working under exhausting conditions (which might partially explain their lack of courtesy), but the fact is that the service was some of the worst I have ever experienced in a trip.

I would definitely not recommend this resort.
