Decent getaway

Great little place to stay. Didn’t see anyone from the venue at all during the stay - checkin was remote.

Sadly the bed comfort wasn’t up to expectations and resulted in two poor nights sleep due to a very hard mattress; other than that, it was a cute little getaway in a great location.

We loved the whole lodge idea and the beautiful scenery. Check in and check out was so easy and didnt have to talk to anyone. It was close to where we wanted to sight see. I would recommend it to anyone needing a clean place to stay.

Disappointing. For $842 (3 nights) I thought the place was too expensive for it's size and location. Friends of us travelled at same time found a place near by (a whole cottage which sleeps 5) for less than $700 for the same period.
The shower tap was leaking and the small cupboard which has a fridge, kettle and cutlery was nowhere near big enough and did not have a light and things were difficult to see as there was only a dim light near it.

Need to improve communication, shower and hygiene

This property is ok but definitely not exceptional. Only a microwave and kettle available. The shower took forever to get hot water thru and was hard to then adjust to a nice temperature, when I finally did get it adjusted the hot water ran out and i had to wash in cold. I live with tank water so have fast showers to conserve water. This was hopeless.
The letter with check in instructions does not have any welcome or well wishes for an enjoyable stay, then threatens extra charges if you should leave a cup unwashed - rude. The only place to wash dishes was in the bathroom sink less than a metre from the toilet. As a health auditor I can assure you that trusting guests to wash food utensils in a bathroom sink is NOT hygienic nor is it recommended. Never saw a staff member once in four days.
I choose this as a base for four days visiting the Margaret River Open Studio Annual Art Trail and the location was great. I can HIGHLY recommend the art trail, which was an opportunity to explore back roads visiting artists properties, so as a bonus you see their house and gardens too.

The property is old world, so lacks modern amenities but has a casual charm. It’s grounds are really beautiful. The garden’s well maintained and there’s a dam so birds a plenty. It’s next door to Barnyard which has lovely sculptures. It’s rather cold, particularly the bathroom with no heating. There’s no staff at the property so no personal check in, all done remotely. But, depending on which room you get, it’s peaceful and mostly quiet.”

The room was adequate for our 2 nights stay. The lighting in the Voyager room was a little dull The kettle made the water for my coffee taste terrible and request to wash the dishes we used was a bit tricky in the bathroom sink with no plug.

Charming traditional stay house

We stayed here for a function at Caves House - it was a 3min drive, but far enough that we had no noise, or road noise, all night. A beautiful backyard to eat breakfast in and a lovely tea house next door, it was a very beautiful place.

Sienna Lodge is an older style lodge. Our room on the second floor was accessible only by stairs, so if you need accessibility make sure you contact them. The room was sweet, with good lighting. The bathroom was a little cramped due to the sloped roof, but it was manageable. There was a couch, breakfast nook, some hilarious safety precautions, and a wardrobe of a good size for suitcases.

Parking was at a premium (as in there wasn't enough) but the winery next door was a short 30m walk away (and served a mean breakfast).

I'm grateful for the \"no contact\" checkin and checkout, as someone who doesn't like speaking to people I don't know (social anxiety). This was a huge + for me.

Would absolutely stay there again.

it was really awesome holidays with my wife to have stay at Sienna. The winderful atmosphere especially Autumn there.

We would recommend you pay a visit to smith beach in just 10 minutes driving distance to enjoy sunset there.

We enjoyed the place there so much, cheers!

Great atmosphere and ambience. Complimentary bottle of their own wine and really close to Canal Rocks. Good lunch options nearby and short distance to Dunsborough city center. Saw wild kangaroos and rabbits on the way to Canal Rocks during the late evening!

Large clean room in a relaxing location

Sienna Lodge is on a beautiful vineyard in a quiet location just a short drive to Dunsborough
The rooms are quite spacious quiet and clean.
On the property is the Barnyard restaurant which sells some nice craft beer and quality wines, with amazing food to go with it, and a children's play ground.
My partner and I stayed 2 nights and had a great time.
The beaches in the area are well worth a visit.
The staff had very useful local knowledge, and were friendly.

Excellent stay nearest to Canal Rocks!

Lovely stay in winter and there is a free bottle of wine to the room guests. Very comfortable, relaxing stay for us. We like the surroundings here which are calm, peaceful, silence. There is hotel restaurant at the opposite and next door there is lavender tea room too. Host is very friendly and helpful. It is a less than 5min car drive along the straight road to the famous Canal Rocks.

Beautiful surroundings.

We stayed for two nights. What we loved about it was the picturesque surroundings. Definitely the place to be if you want to get away from the city. The room was adequate, a bit dusty but this didn't affect the overall feeling we had for the place. We will definitely be going back when we have the opportunity to.

Lovely place, friendly owner, highly recommend! Characterful accommodation in relaxing yet convenient location.

Good: close to Smith beach; lavender tea house next door for breakfast scones; bistro next door does great food for lunch; ample parking; check in and out quick and easy; lots of nice touches - free bottle of wine & complimentary drink voucher for bistro next door; big spacious room with seating area, well equipped; clean, well maintained and good condition

Bad: adjusting water in shower a bit tricky, would rattle and make loud noises, but just a minor issue and adds to the rustic charm!

The reception person was friendly, but had very little knowledge about the area or what good restaurants are on offer. The bed was ok, but a very hard mattress. The plumbing [shower] has problems and we had to wait a long time for hot water, which is ironic in a water saving area like Yallingup!

Good place to stay. Nice feel, surrounding gardens pleasant. Room good size so having daughter sleep on additional sofa bed not a problem. Water had an odd taste and when I mentioned this was given different drinking water which tasted a lot better. Shower tricky to use as water temperature difficult to regulate. Overall friendly good service and accommodation.

Great location but could do with a renovation

The hotel's location was ideal, close to Canal Rocks, Smiths Beach, Margaret River and Dunsborough, which we found was the best feature. The actual hotel situation is a bit too close to the road and intersection of Caves Road and Canal Rocks Road which makes it a bit noisy. Our room (room 5) was on the ground floor and our verandah was used as a thoroughfare to other rooms which was NOT GOOD. The occupants' footsteps above us could be heard when they walked around (which was early every morning as they were up before us). The plumbing was noisy, which woke us up on the first night at around 11pm from someone taking a shower (either next to us or above us?). The bed itself was comfy, the rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels supplied daily. Curtains and carpets, décor etc looked very tired and worn - the hotel could do with a huge renovation. In all, we were only in the room to sleep so it wasn't too bad. If the hotel undertook a fresh renovation, we would stay again, but on the top floor!

Had a fantastic time enjoying all the attractions in the area with our accommodation so close & convenient to all of it.The owner was also very helpful & thanks to her we saw the most incredible sunset at the stunning Canal Rocks just up the road,a must see.Also enjoyed their generous gift of a bottle of their own wine,lovely,& beautiful lavender Scones & coffee/tea that must be experienced along with all the other gorgeous lavender products that they make & sell.

Nice Lodge

Sienna is located just off Cave Road. It is close to all local attractions.
We loved view from the room onto little lake with ducks and all other signing birds.
In September, place was colourful with all blooming flowers.
We stay in Sienna 2 nights from Thursday to Saturday. It was quite and very peaceful.

Having stayed at Sienna a few times and returned due to the reasonably priced accommodation and generally good facilities. This trip however we were in one of the ground floor rooms and it wasn't as pleasant. Opting for the same room type as usual and with the venue relatively quiet (only 2 other cars) we had another party appointed to the room immediately above us and there is little sound proofing between floors or walls. The furniture was approaching threadbare and completely uncomfortable. A disappointing stay and probably the final time we will stay.

On arrival at \"reception\" there was just a letter pinned to a cork board telling us which room to go to and that the key was in the room. The room was behind the car port, quite dated, smelt a little damp and the \"kitchenette was an old cupboard unit with a sink and fridge.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower was hot and the towels were nice quality and clean.

The guests above were either very heavy or the boards need attention as it sounded like they were coming through!

We didn't see any staff at all so not really fair to mark on that but have to put something!

It's not quite what it makes out on the website but it was cheap and ok for a bed for the night.
