A beautiful property with 9 private cottages and resident kangaroos. The cottages are spaced strategically so you often feel you are the only ones there. Cottages are well stocked and neatly kept. Bicycles for use, jacuzzi tubs in room, barbecue on patio and a well outfitted kitchen. Everything you need for a restful getaway—yet only minutes to wineries and 20-30 minutes to beautiful beaches.

The accommodation is spacious and relaxing and there are many thoughtful touches. Such as the bikes and helmets, fire prepared, torches, fully stocked kitchen. It's very private and has an outdoor shower as well. Bed is comfortable and large. The property has plenty of windows to see the wildlife. Its quiet and peaceful and not too far out from many wineries and chocolate shops.

Little gem in the Splendid Wren
We really enjoyed our stay in the Splendid Wren chalet at Forest Rise. Although the bathroom is shared, it is well-appointed and quite comfortable. The bonus is how peaceful and immersed in nature we felt. The location is also very convenient for lots of little towns and wineries. We had a great time.

A blissful retreat in the forest. The team at Forest Rise have paid extraordinary attention to detail in creating these lovely chalets placed in secluded spots around the property. From the moment you enter you feel that you are being cherished. The sounds of the forest, the sights of the forest, the smells of the forest – just beautiful. Additional touches like bicycles waiting for you, the outside rainfall (hot) shower, champagne bucket beside the spa bath – together with sumptuous linens and a really comfy bed. So many native birds and scores of kangaroos. We will be back.

Lovely, peaceful chalet surrounded by nature but with all the creature comforts of a luxury villa. Self check in and out means you could possibly not see another soul for the length of your stay, though any assistance required is only a call away if need be. Full kitchen facilities, log fire, spa bath and outdoor shower are the highlights, along with the walking and bike trails around the property. You are in nature though, so do expect local wildlife at your doorstep, and this also can mean bugs in and around the chalet (though they weren't a big issue for us).

By far the best place I have ever stayed! Every last detail was covered, right down to oven mitts, tin foil, soap for the dishwasher, we literally only needed to bring food and had no issues preparing or eating it. The chalet grounds were just gorgeous, and it was very hard to see any part of the neighboring chalet at all. Privacy was 100%, and the stay completely absent of any noise besides those of the nature on all sides. We even heard kookaburras each morning. There is a resident population of kangaroos alongside the beautiful driveway that was fun to watch. When we arrived, we found a wonderful arrival hamper in the fridge which included local wine and beer, chocolates, cheeses, and more, and we were greeted with relaxing music quietly playing over the multi-room stereo. It didn’t take more than 90 seconds for us to feel relaxed and eager for our stay. There’s even an outdoor shower which was quite an enjoyable experience, and privacy was never a worry. At the end of the stay, we made use of the washer and dryer which worked great and, of course, soap was provided for this too. They really thought of everything. The couches and pillows were inviting and comfortable... the whole place was, really. Just fantastic at every turn. My only regret is that no part of our stay overlapped with office hours, so we were unable to thank the owners in person for such a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back!

Nice to get away from the concrete jungle and jump into the tranquility of the forest. So peaceful and quiet. Yet the hotel is situated at the edge of the forest not too far away from the town. You have the option of dining in or out. The kitchen is well equipped. Love the bike ride around the facility.

Ant infestation meant all kitchen cupboards and bath had dead ants when we arrived which wasn't great, and we had a bat for company in the lounge on the first night which was a bit unsettling. Romantic forest getaway
Forest rise was THE most romantic, serene place we have ever stayed. Walking in the door to soft music playing we found lots of little extras that were included to make our stay extra special. The bikes that you can ride around, outdoor bush shower, spa with view of the stars at night, giant comfy bed, music that plays into the bathroom while you relax, dvds, log fire and so much more. If you are wanting a relaxing romantic and peaceful getaway then this is the place. P.S The nespresso machine was amazing!

AMAZINGLY SECLUDED GETAWAY
Just came back from an AMAZING 4 night escape with my partner down at Forest Rise and escape is the optimal word. Once arriving and driving down towards our forest chalet, we were greeted by kangaroo's roaming around the area to our right and to our left the still waters of the lake and decking with chairs which looked incredibly inviting. As we pulled up to our secluded chalet we were already happy with our decision to stay here, however from there it only got better. We opened the front door to find the chalet perfectly clean, a nice welcome brochure on the kitchen table and two wine glasses ready to go for what was promising to be a relaxing getaway. It's the small touches with Forest Rise which add to this whole experience, the relaxing music that is playing over the speakers as you arrive; the ''treats'' in the fridge which allow you to sample some of the local produce and even the two well kept mountain bikes waiting outside for you to explore the vast property or ride to the lake. Needless to say the double spa bath under the windowed roof is both relaxing and amazing, being able to sit there looking up at the sky or the rain as it hits the glass is an experience in its self before getting out and putting on one of the supplied towel robes. From there it just got better....

Valentine's Day Get Away
A beautiful, peaceful get away located 20min from Margaret River. We never actually saw any hotel staff and probably only one guest while we were there. It's secluded heaven. The chalet was playing beautiful music when we arrived and there was an assortment of goodie left for us to enjoy including a bottle of bubbles, chocolates and fresh bread. It's the perfect get away from the city break and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (especially the beautiful view of the Milky Way while soaking in the spa)
