My family has been staying at the Sebel for many years. When the children were young they loved the indoor and outdoor pool and the games room. Now they are teenagers they love the close proximity to the beach where they use their stand up paddle boards and they still love the games rooms and the nearby shops. The adults love the restaurant and bar next door.....

Slight downside, 6km from the town centre which did mean you had to drive in, however we should have known that and was not a big issue.

3 bedroom apartment was well appointed and clean.
En suite shower did not get very hot and went cold very quickly. Also the water just trickled out. Staff were very responsive and it was checked by maintenance very quickly who reported that the issue had been fixed. Unfortunately 2nd night was the same, so very disappointed. A great place but would not stay again because this seems an ongoing issue.

Great resort-style accommodation, king studio was an excellent size for a couple, clean, serviced daily, helpful staff. Facilities on site would be great for families (pool, squash, tennis, games, etc)
Cafe/restaurant next door provided wide variety of dining options.

The studio room on the ground floor was beautifully presented inside and very spacious. Staff were great. Had the weather been warmer, we would have found it too noisy to sit outside, as beyond the high wall the traffic was too noisy for us to have sat outside. After seeing the layout next time we would choose a studio that looks onto the tennis court.

I asked for a bath and got one. Very pleased. It was a deep plunge bath in a beautifully decorated bathroom with separate shower too.
Odd though that the shampoo and conditioner could not be taken to the bath and none were provided to use in the bath. They were strapped to the wall.

Was I expected to jump in the bath then jump out to get shampoo jump back in, wash my hair, jump back out get the conditioner, jump back in to wash it off??? Not sure 🤔

Check in - was very busy and no where to park - although turned up at check in time. I did note that after me with no one left to check in the car park was still full. Not sure who was parked there.

Hotel Review – 3-Bedroom Apartment Stay

We recently stayed in the 3-bedroom apartment, and overall, it was a great experience. The place is very new and clean, which made our stay comfortable. Just a note for future guests— all three bedrooms are on the first floor, so you will need to use the stairs.

The swimming pool was a highlight— spacious and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing swim.
However, the shower was a bit of a letdown. The water temperature kept fluctuating, turning cold and then taking a long time to warm up again. Additionally, the water pressure was quite weak, which made showering less enjoyable.
Despite this issue, we had a pleasant stay. If the shower situation improves, it would be an even better experience.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in one of the 3 bed apartment style rooms. It was fresh, clean and staff were helpful. The apartment was fully kitted out, there was nothing we needed to bring except for ourselves. Pool area was nice, clean and pizzas were yummy; served between 3-6pm on Friday and Saturday, which were handy options.

Really appreciated an early check in. Room was very clean. However walls thin and could hear people in the next room. Property runs to the beach which is lovely. Nice separated kitchenette area but comparable properties usually have a plunger or pod machine and more utensils.

Stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment for a night. It was spacious and clean, suitable for families with children. There’s a club house with a kids room and other facilities. It will be good if the indoor and outdoor swimming pools are a little cleaner though. In the evenings, ducks will start to colonize the pools. Food wise, there are some options nearby. Otherwise you can drive down to the city centre.

Despite it being a busy and almost-booked-out weekend, it was peaceful and the pool area was quiet thanks to the kid's pool inside most people were using. Suggest to have key instructions on doors of appliances such as dishwasher and dryer. Not everyone uses same brands/model.

Previous guests emptied dishwashing detergent into wrong compartment. we followed and realised dishes remain dirty. Took very much time to figure out how to start the dryer. Had to check online manuals. Realised later that manuals were available in bottommost drawer.

Other than these, location and everything else were fantastic. Friends will strongly recommend to families and friends.

This is a gem. Our room was better than most high class hotels. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Only a short walk to the beach. There is no restaurant on-site but the neighbouring property has one which serve great food. Great location to base your day trips from. Will definitely stay again

We stayed in #11,a 3x2 bungalow for 3 nights.
Only one shower was useable due to its size and the fact the shower head could not be directed down enough to do anything but spray in my face.
And on the 2nd night my 4 y/o daughter pulled a used condom wrapper from between the cushions on the lounge. Certainly less than ideal.
This dated and run down bungalow was very disappointing.

The apartment Was nice. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. We felt it hadnt been cleaned properly before we arrived as there was a bit of broken glass on the floor which we cleaned up with the provided vacuum cleaner. The rugs were quite discoloured. There was also dishes that had been left in the dishwasher. The facilities were good the pool was lovely. The kids play room could do with a proper clean and overhaul as most of the toys are broken and dirty. The front of house staff were really lovely and welcoming overall the stay was good.

They had our apartment ready an hour and half before check in and left us a bottle of wine and card for our anniversary. Staff were lovely, pool towels given at reception, indoor pool and spa perfect for winter. Also indoor games room and arcade lots of fun ( games are $1-$2 each FYI). Wonderful place close to stilts bar walking distance , and also atrium restaurant at abbey beach - walking distance too. Perfect location . Would be great in summer so close to the beach.

Great stay but some contradictory practices

Overall really good - facilities great. One or two minor issues e.g. bed side lamp and table damaged - missing veneer etc - while not serious for the amount charged and the venue rating I would expect better attention to detail and replacement of damaged items.
Inconsistent Covid actions i.e. not making up rooms due to Covid, but end of stay cleaners weren't wearing PPE or even masks etc - tv remote sanitised and in envelope, but air conditioner remote out - so not sure whether sanitised.

A disappointing stay

Overall not a bad place however not currently suitable for families with young toddlers during winter. The indoor kids club is closed down and there is no playground onsite even though it’s advertised as such. They were doing renovations when we went too so beat to call before hand to see which facilities are actually accessible. Microwave and oven low down without a safe switch to turn off for young kids who explore. Could be a good place for older kids or people without kids but definitely was not suitable for us.
It’s neat and clean though and the bathtub is huge. Overall not as equipped as we had hoped but the staff were nice and there was plenty to do in Busselton itself.

Quiet Weekend away

Despite the chilly and unpredictable weather, we enjoyed the indoor heated swimming pool and spa as well as the spa inside our room. The beach is within walking distance. Although our room faced the maion road, we didn't hear anything due to the 2-layers balcony door. There are only 2 washers and dryers on site. Best to bring your own laundry detergent as I didn't see any sold on site.

Our family has often stayed at the Sebel Busselton. There is something for all ages, the kids especially enjoy the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, easy access to the lovely calm beach, the tennis courts, the games room and use of the bike hire on the cycling/walking path around Geographe Bay. The adults enjoy all of that and the barbecues and having a restaurant and bar and small grocery store next door. It is only a 10 minute drive to town, where there is abundant shopping.

Our apartment was close to the pool, which was good , but the was lots of noise especially in one bedroom from swimming pool equipment running all night. Next time will choose further from pool.

We have stayed at the Sebel many times and had previously stayed in the bungalows. This time we were put in an outdated bungalow in desperate need of renovation and TLC, which is frustrating after paying a higher rate due to being Fathersday. We were greeted by small spiders on the upstairs bed then later that day on the bed in the main bedroom. There were spider webs on the reading lamp next to my bed and in corners of the rooms throughout. Only one room had carpet, the rest of the bungalow was freezing cold tiles. The bedding had stains on it and the place was dusty and unclean. Very disappointing visit and we are considering changing our down south getaway to another destination. Staff were great as always, friendly, organised and very professional.
