There were some nice rooms in the pictures on the website so we booked for two nights. What we got was some motel 6 quality room. We left after the first night.

Me and my son stay here every time we visit siem reap
The staff are very friendly the breakfast is great and the setting amongst the coconut trees is very relaxing. The swimming is good. The only issue we have this time was the lack of hot water.

I always get a warm welcome when staying in siem Reap at the Apsara Greenland resort. The pool is lovely the gardena are lovely and there's even a pool table. Highly recommended.

Beautiful quiet boutique hotel with friendly helpful staff. A great base for exploring. Lovely rooms and great pool. The lonly small pitfall was laundry was overpriced and had to send back to rewash as they didnt do a great job - even the second time it wasnt great.

Great hotel and great staff. If there were any cons it would be that it's a little far from the city centre (but a short $2 tuk tuk ride), and the private pools were a little cold (but could be the time of the year we went). Would definitely stay again.

Lovely oasis in SiemReap

A lovely oasis in dusty and humid, but beautiful, SiemReap, Cambodia. Everything about the hotel was awesome, specially the kindness of the staff. Its concept is green and eco friendly, I loved the details, plastic free bottles and toiletries and even the bamboo straws for your drinks. Just a dead insect found inside the room when checking in and the whole stay I still saw it being there, but I guess there are some things you cannot control ( I am always aware of bugs because I am scared of them)

Cozy little hotel, in a well-design little space. It is a bit far from center but they have free tuktuk to city. Staff is amazing! I haven't tried their food, so no idea on that point but love the hotel and people in here.. Highly recommend.

Great service - relaxing chill spot.

We loved our stay here! The hotel is a relaxing retreat from the hussle of the town. It is a easy and quick tuk tuk ride to town and the service from the front desk is impeccable. They handle everything and are super sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great service, they packed breakfast for us to take with us to the early morning sunrise tour of Angkor Wat. The restaurant offers small menu but good food. Beautiful and well maintained grounds & garden. But the villas need updating; very old and dated. Shower stall is open, not comfortable & messy with water everywhere after a shower. Nice to have free tuk-tuk to town. They forgot to send transportation for pickup even though they assured us via email that they will be waiting for us at the airport. However it was not an issue as we were able to hire a van from the airport and Sourkear Villa refunded us for the fare.

wonderful stay
booked the private pool villa, and we enjoyed both private and public pool.
clean and nice room with great air conditioning system.
it's little far from the main street (about 7 min by tuktuk), so it is at quiet and peaceful neighborhood. also they have a perfect tuk tuk service, so you can always ask a ride for free ( before 9PM though) and free airport pickup!!
all staffs are so nice and kind. i had a minor issue in communication (no English speaking staffs at that moment) when I confirmed the airport pick up time via phone, but I had no problem in communication for my stay

Small boutique in quiet area

We booked the family suite with private pool but was told upon arrival that there was water leak, and were moved to two non-connecting standard twin rooms. Despite the big 'downgrade' and price difference, we were offered nothing more than free laundry service which we didn't require as we were just staying for two nights. After several complaints, the manager offered a free meal and massage as gesture of goodwill.
The hotel is quite small and in a quiet area 10min away from Pub Street and night market but has free tuk-tuk service (motorbike with small trailer for 4 people). Staff in general are friendly but housekeeping was a bit slow - rooms were still not cleaned when we returned at 2pm after being out since 4:30am to see the sunrise. Breakfast was good and had a wide choice of local, Asian and Western food.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Free tuk tuk to town anytime you want to go, the pool is awesome, the food is great, the staff is over the top sweet and friendly, free breakfast, out of town so it's peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Relaxing oasis for exploring Angkor Wat

The hotel is very efficient and the staff are super helpful. Breakfast is excellent! Especially if you choose the Cambodian options. Overall, a very relaxed, resort-like experience.

This is the perfect spot if you want to explore the Angkor complexes and local sites, then come back to a peaceful setting to relax. If you want nightlife, then you might want to stay in Siem Reap town. This hotel does offer free tuk-tuk service to town and they are very good at getting you where you need to go.

An Oasis in Need of An Update

As a previous reviewer wrote, this hotel is a wonderful place to relax and it is a true oasis. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is surrounded by trees. It was very peaceful to go swimming after a long day out in the heat and not have any noise. The service was great, and by the end of my stay everybody knew my room number. Because the hotel is outside the city, the hotel provides free tuk-tuks to downtown Siem Reap. Unfortunately, as wonderful as the hotel was, it had some drawbacks. I had to use a manual key to lock and unlock my door, which was attached to the card that turned on my room's power, so I could not put it in my wallet. My safe also used a manual key, so I also had to carry that with me wherever I went. Even after three days I could not lock/unlock my door in one attempt so it was very frustrating. In the mornings the shower had no water pressure, resulting in me having to take longer showers to get clean. The room layout was very nice with an interestingly designed shower, but as nice as the room was the toilet was just a toilet in a box, with a light that flickered as it turned on. The toilet room reminded me of what you might find at a campground. All in all, it was a fine hotel that I would stay at again, but I hope some updates can be applied in the future.

Lovely hotel, great atmosphere

My friend and I stayed in a room with 2 single beds. It was very spacious with separate toilet and shower areas that had an open concept sink/vanity in between. Our room opened out onto a private little area with chairs and table (we didn't spend much time there as it was a bit rainy but was a really nice thought). On arrival, we had a fruit basket waiting which was a great touch. There was a beautiful open lounge/dining area next to a beautiful pool. It would be an amazing hotel to spend more time just relaxing if you had the time (though there were quite a few families there with children).

Best place we stayed after 6 weeks of traveling

We really loved this hotel! It's well designed and clean. The staff were very accommodating. They made us breakfast boxes every morning to see the temples at sunrise and had a free Tuk tuk to town whenever we wanted. The quality of food was definitely the best we've had after 6 weeks of staying at similarly priced hotels.

Pass on this Country Hotel

Arrived Siem Reap 9:15 pm - no pick up from hotel as advertised.
Took taxi to get to hotel - taxi went to wrong hotel (in town) this hotel is NOT in town and is on deserted country road outside.
Taxi wanted more money to go to correct hotel vs free ride due to their mistake (took me to Suorkear Inn not Suorkear Villa despite my telling them it is wrong hotel).
Arrived at hotel - no food available at hotel, no restaurants or stores near hotel to walk to eat. MUST take a tuk-tuk (small 125 cc (?) motorbike pulling cart) to town to eat nights / shop during day, etc etc etc. Nothing is near this hotel but cows and vacant dirt roads.
Decided to make coffee to drink in room since nothing else available to eat or drink - noticed the water bottle was not full. Closer examination the top had been removed, seal broken, water drank, and cap replaced.
I took the 'used' water down to the front desk, had to wake up clerk and was given new bottle of water.
Went back up to room but lights for stairs and hallway were not working.. hallway is covered but open to air at both ends.
Pool is small but ok for honeymooners.
Ancient ruins farther away from this hotel. There are many other better hotels near or around PUB Street or within walking distance of it and shopping to stay at this hotel.
Hotel may be ok for Honeymooners who want to lock themselves away for few days in solitude.
I had paid for 2 nights at this hotel - but immediately booked different hotel and moved into Siem Reap out of the 'boonies.
Hotel staff said they would refund money for 2nd night but NEVER saw the refund.
Staff were very kind.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed here with my family. We were very happy with the room. Loved relaxing by the beautiful pool and garden area. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was tasty. Although it is a little bit out of the main area of town we saw that as a plus. Being away from the hustle and bustle and noise. The hotel supplies free tuk tuk in and back from town. This is only about 5 mins away. Would recommend getting hotel to arrange transport to them when you arrive in siem reap as not many drivers know wheeee hotel is.
We qould definitely stay here again.

Heaven of peace

We had a fantastic stay at suorkear villa. The staff is lovely and the swimming pool is very nice and clean. I had a massage in te wooden house which was very relaxing. When you are back at the hotel the staff welcomes you with a fresh towel highly appreciated. Free tuk tuk service to town which works very well. Very quiet place I highly recommend this place.

a pleasant experience

Overall we enjoyed our 5 day stay at this hotel. The front staff is very obliging. The pool area is nice at the end of the day. The hotel is a short tuktuk drive from the downtown area but the free tuktuk service worked well enough. The driver will both take you to town and pick you up which is nice although it does mean you have to keep to the schedule you arrange which can be a little inconvenient. The front desk was very helpful in arranging for tour help and ongoing bus transportation and we found them trustworthy in their recommendations. We did feel that the breakfasts could be better. You just get tired of the same offerings after a couple of days. We did have a great Kmer style supper at the hotel on our last night, and it was one of the best meals we had, so they have the talent for a better breakfast offering. Two last comments: First, there was no room safe. Second, the beds are on a platform built against a wall. If you are older or have physical issues this might cause some awkwardness.

Pleasant escape just out of town

I have just returned from a weeks stay at Villa Kiara and even though a little out of town, worth the short travel. Once inside the gates it is a little oasis with a lovely pool, comfortable and very clean rooms decorated in a contemporary style, a very pleasant little restaurant and delightful staff.
A tuk tuk was always available to get into town and if required they would meet at a designated point and bring me back. This was helpful until I got my bearings as not many of the town drivers knew the way!
It was an enjoyable stay and even though I was a solo traveller I noticed that they accommodated families very well.
Good value for money and very relaxing.

Peaceful haven of a hotel

We stayed at Villa Kiara over the New Year Holiday in a family room - 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 & 8. The room was fine, and spotless. The hotel is in the suburbs, about 5-10 minutes ride from the centre - the free tuk-tuks provided by the hotel made this easy.The hotel's pool is small but perfect, and made a half-day temples, half-day pool routine practical, to keep the kids happy, and you could charge everything to your room and pay by credit card upon departure.The hotel food & drink was good and reasonably priced compared to town. On New Year's Eve the hotel arranged a 'gala dinner' with entertainment at a larger sister hotel, and this was a great evening. Above all, the staff at Villa Kiara are really friendly and couldn't do enough to make their guests comfortable. The hotel is probably a little too quiet for younger travellers looking to party, but I would certainly recommend this hotel to a family.

Wonderful experience!!!!

Nice to stay a little out of the way for the peace but only a 10 minute free Tuk Tuk into Seam Reap for all the bars and restaurants and action!!

Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly - Helping us organise our Temple trips on v short notice with no fuss at all. Beautiful room (We had a suite) with everything we needed and more. Would not hesitate in recommending or staying again. Great job guys!!!

Nice, quiet hotel outside the city center

The hotel is a very nice boutique hotel, about 10 min away from the city center, easily accessed by a free shuttle tuktuk provided by Villa Kiara. You can also book a driver and a car through the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice garden, clean swimmingpool, pool bar with happy hour drinks in the evening. The room was basic, nothing extra, but clean and quite spacious. We took a cooking course organised by the restaurant staff - very professional and great value for your money. Will definitely visit again.

Really charming family run hotel

Villa Kiara is such a lovely small hotel. It is quiet and tranquil, and because it is situated a few blocks from the centre of Siem Reap, you really do feel like you have escaped the fun but manic town centre. We usually like walking a lot on holiday, but so enjoyed being shuttled around in Villa Kiaras tuk tuk.

Fabulous stay at Villa Kiara

Villa Kiara is an idyllic haven, set down a quiet and picturesque red dirt road, but just five minutes from town. The staff were exceptional, going out of their way to help and to make our stay enjoyable and interesting. The pretty pool has a tropical garden setting, the rooms are airy and attractive and the food is excellent. A free tuk tuk is available at the door to drop guests in town and pick up. The only downside is trying to explain to other tuk tuk drivers where it is. Villa Kiara would benefit from better sign posting and a more explicit map. Otherwise, faultless!

Villa Kiara Boutique Hotel

Stayed at Villa Kiara for one night with my family. We were initially doubtful since the location was far out of the main highway and my mom was already complaining. But then when we arrived, we loved the ambiance of the hotel right then. They gave us some pineapple welcome drink and cold towels. The villas are beautiful. The breakfast is good as well. They have a free tuk-tuk that takes guests where they want, such as the Pub Street at night.
