Beautiful room and view to the sea, there’s a noticeable gap in the window but room does not feel cold or draughty. Well stocked mini fridge, teas and coffee. The spa was relaxing and quiet. Staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Hotel, great food and our room was so nice. Great swimming pool and the lounge is very peaceful.
However plumbing issues in our room and could not have a fab bath, it was a beautiful tub because of the water (not hot) I did tell the staff the next day as it needed looked at. They were lovely to me and I only mentioned it to them as it might of been an issue to the next guest in that room.

A lovely hotel with great staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were excellent, and the complimentary touches were a nice surprise. Breakfast was outstanding and set us up perfectly for the day.

As mentioned to reception during my stay, the room was lovely, however, a couple of issues. The shower suffered from a lack of water pressure. The inside of the minibar was stained. Inside of the window glass was marked. King-size bed was actually 2 beds pushed together so I was limited to one side or the otheras I'd got stuck in the middle gap.

A last minute booking. Staff were always helpful, especially as the hotel was busy. Breakfast was busy and the kitchen seemed a bit rushed, but the food was good. Seats in the lounge area were quite low down. Outdoor hot tub was in maintenance which is a shame as there was no previous notification prior. Nor were there any towels out, but when asked the staff provided ones quicky and without fuss. A good, warm and welcoming stay.

I would have given 5 star's but found that this hotel's quality of customer service could be vastly improved by hiring more staff. This is most evident at breakfast when there's no one available to clear tables. This is a lovely hotel in a lovely location so please don't let the standard slip .Well done to the staff who are doing their best.

Beautiful Hotel in an equally beautiful location, good clean pool and Spar facilities. Rooms beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Most staff were friendly, polite and welcoming.
We did find that the Continental Breakfast Buffet was somewhat lacking in choice, the cooked breakfasts were good but a little overcooked.

Unfortunately we did find that some staff were lacking attention to detail, we were given sour milk for our Tea/Coffee at breakfast! When we brought this to the staff attention the milk was replaced with another jug…..which also turned out to be just as sour! I was then informed that the dates on the milk bottles were all in date and was offered ‘milk alternatives’ which I politely declined as all I really desired was Fresh milk for my coffee, we were then brought a third jug of milk which thankfully was fresh.

We booked an afternoon Tea to celebrate a Birthday and I would recommend this to anyone staying at this Hotel as it was Plentiful and absolutely delicious. We payed for this at time of booking on the day before the Tea. Unfortunately on checking our bank account on the day after, we discovered that the Hotel staff had taken another payment from our account! So we were charged twice for one booking! This was quickly resolved at reception on our checkout and then refunded back onto our payment method.
So all in all, yes I would definitely go back to this Hotel, but, I would book room only and go somewhere else for Breakfast.

Very highly recommended. The hotel has had a spruce up since I was last here and she's looking lovely. Very comfy beds and powerful shower with nice products. Great spa. Food and cocktails both delicious. Everyone super friendly and helpful. With local people coming in to use the pool or have a drink at the bar, it feels like part of the town as well rather than just a tourist enclave. We will be back.

What a wonderful hotel - despite my stay being very short I was made to feel very welcomed and comfortable. Rooms here are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was very very good!
I didn’t manage to go into the spa but this looked very pleasant.
Hotel is quiet and peaceful and right next to the golf clubs and sea views

The room we were allocated was above the kitchen area where the extractor fans are located now they are large and noisy, our small room needed the window to be open but this wasn’t practical as the noise was unbearable! The hotel is looking tired and needs an upgrade, their 4 star status comes from the beautiful location and views.
A very expensive one night stay left us more than a little disappointed!

Beautiful location and wonderful stay

This was our first visit to this hotel and it hopefully won’t be our last. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was cosy, clean and tastefully decorated. The swimming pool area was a lovely space to use with beautiful views out to the sea.
The location was perfect for walks along the stunning beach or into Nairn itself.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and we hope to return again in the near future.

Lovely big comfortable bedrooms, a cosy library and the conservatory for meals had the best views. The pool area and spa helped make our stay memorable. The hotel had an old fashioned charm but was warm and well looked after. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to the area.

Told to go in the tottaly wrong direction and floor to get to our room
Breakfast first morning a disaster ordered 2 poached eggs on toast you could bounce the eggs of the floor they were that hard
my wives breakfast was put aside and forgotten about and came with fried egg that would have passed for a hard boiled one bacon incinerated we were having to go to meet people and couldn’t wait for breakfast and to make do with so toast and coffee for breakfast very expensive and not what was expected from a 4?star hotel

Rooms need a bit of TLC. Hot water in the room took a fair bit of time for it to come through. We had a big sea facing room that despite the heating best efforts didn’t get warm even keeping the heavy curtains shut. But the view is best experienced outside so that wasn’t too much of an issue.

The bar are was nice and good selection of spirits and good local beers on offer. The food choice was poor, and pricey. We did eat lunch on the first day as the room wasn’t ready but wasn’t good at all. We went to the Sun Dancer at the far end of Nairn and it was exceptional both for service and food quality.

The spa has a nice pool, very hot sauna and steam room plus a couple of hot tubs they were good and included.

Spa has a thermal experience that comes at a cost of £30pp for a stone bath humidity room (that wasn’t getting up to temp) an experience shower and the Himalayan Salt room.

Fantastic 3 night stay.

The hotel is 2 minutes from the beach. The hotel was easy to find with free on site parking. Check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities in the room.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there was a wide selection. We had an evening meal in the hotel which was great, especially as we enjoyed a view over the estuary.
In the evenings we enjoyed watching the sunset over the estuary whilst sipping cocktails.
The hotel has a pool and spa but you need to book the spa before you arrive as it was fully booked on our arrival. We did still use the pool, steam room and outdoor hot tub which was very relaxing.
A short walk to Nairn harbour will put you on a sandy beach which doesn’t get crowded as it just goes on and on.
A 25 minute drive will see you in Inverness with plenty to see and do, and also a wide range of restaurants.
Overall we had a great time at the hotel the surrounding area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had long interesting conversations with the bartender while she kept us supplied with cocktails, mainly the “Dark & Stormy” but unfortunately we didn’t catch her name.
Overall we enjoyed our time there and won’t hesitate to incorporate a further stay when we next plan a tour of Scotland as this holiday was.

Birthday gift. Hotel is good and very comfortable. Small issues but overall we had a great weekend. Reception desk computer covers half the desk when you sit down. Bar area good be better but the lounge space is very comfortable. Light dimmers would be nice in the evening though. We wanted a small snack after 9.30pm but the kitchen closes so nothing available except crisps.
Good points - everyone was lovely. We had a great day at the spa and spent time in a very nice pool area. We had a lovely dinner on our first night. The area is easy to walk to the beach promenade and into town. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the sea and managed to see a pod of dolphins swim past.

Lots of good, more recent replenishments, like the bathroom, the dining area, and the great swimming pool, hot tub, saunas. Nice well-tended gardens. Great service. But a lot of windows painted immovably shut. And the food was a big let-down. We arrived on Sunday for Sunday dinner at 8, couldn't eat our mains. Breakfasts had the feel of having sat a long time after cooking, bacon burnt to a crisp on 2 out of 4 breakfasts.

Beautiful Victorian Hotel, tastefully furnished with excellent service and super staff. Fabulous room with sea view, and a fab bathroom with copper and chrome tub and a 32inch TV fitted into the wall! Even the huge mirror with heated glass!!
The dinner menus was excellent and very good food served by courteous staff.
All round a super stay, AND a beautiful Spa pool with sea view and every pampering option you could wish for.

Lovely hotel, rooms are well decorated and comfortable. We loved going to the pool for a swim! Our view from our room wasn’t ideal but we didn’t upgrade to seaview room so can’t really complain on that, just worth noting if that’s important to your trip! The staff were lovely. I’d recommend booking dinner well in advance, we had to go into Nairn because they were fully booking on arrival - we will be back to try dinner! Breakfast was delicious! Oh and lovely little tray of goodies to congratulate us on our recent wedding!

I booked this hotel solely for the use of the gym and swimming pool but upon arrival was told both were closed for refurbishment - there is nothing at point of booking to advise this is the case. I am extremely disappointed as I could have stayed in the Elgin area where I was working and saved myself a 40 mile round trip!!!

On arrival until departure could not fault anything. We had breakfast and dinner on both nights. Foid and service were excellent. Our room was verh clean and we werd able to adjudt heating and open window. Room was really 2 in 1 as bunk befs had seperate room. Given current climate with Covid there was plenth room to social distance and plenty of hand sanitizer located throughout hotel. Staff were first class and courteous throughout. We used swimming pool and sps pool everthing was clean and staff explained covid rules succinctly. First class service.

The hotel location and facilities are nice, shame about the staff, specially the ones minding the reception desk. My husband and I are exempt from wearing masks. Two very rude women at the reception desk asked for proof. I said we were not going to discuss our health history with them and that, according to the gov.scot website \"those exempt under the guidance and regulations do not have to prove their exemption\". Not satisfied, one of them made us wait until she checked with the manager, who came and explained that we should have told them in advance, which, of course, we don't have to. It was a very humiliating and embarrassing situation which could have been avoided if hotel had read the government policy on exemption.
Another thing that needs to be reviewed: after I booked the hotel through expedia, I received an email from the hotel with a link to a \"personalised\" page offering me some paid upgrades. I tried to book a room upgrade, only to be told that that room wasn't for three people and that I couldn't book it. There was also another type of room upgrade available, which turned out not to be available either. The \"personalised\" page is not personalised at all, taking into considerations the guests details (number of people, dates, etc), it's the same page sent to everyone, the only thing that changes is the name at the top.

On departure our bill included over £100 for food and drink which was not ours. The receptionist agreed with us she had locked our account on arrival and we be would pay for anything extra as we had. She agreed to remove the food but still wanted to charge us fir the drinks. We had not had any food or drinks. Eventually she agreed to remove the drinks too but I still felt like a criminal. Thing is she knew she has told us she was locking the account but said someone must have asked for it to be unlocked. Bad experience checking out.

The location of the hotel was perfect.From our room we had views across the sea and it was only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Nairn centre was a 10-15 minute walk depending on the route chosen. Without doubt we couldn't have chosen better.

Nice stay at the Golf view hotel, breakfast was lovely. Although priced higher than many other options in Nairn. Despite the name, not a golf view, but very close to the Nairn golf club.

First time in Nairn and all good :)

Pleasantly surprised by this pet friendly hotel; The owners have done a lot of renovation and upgrade to a really good standard and its still ongoing. Room and bathroom was clean and well furnished with lovely fresh bed linen. Food was excellent and the grounds and view fantastic. However, could do with some sun umbrellas for both sunshine and light rain so guests can enjoy the view, the food and drink in comfort. Also not the best hotel for when weather is very hot and sticky. All in all we would definitely stay there again with no worries.

There is no air conditioning in the room and the windows do not open out very far so we had to change rooms
It was still very hot and we didn’t get much sleep
They did not have any more fans
They need to alter the windows
