A truly luxury experience. Lagoon pool villas were well appointed and great location to everything whilst still being private. Food first class, ala carte menu changed daily. Staff were of course the highlight of the stay. So happy, helpful and accommodating. All were quick to claim credit as the chef when a meal was praised! Stunning location with snorkelling right off the shore of the resort. Amazing activities available either complementary or paid. Shout out to Lily, Ronald, Winnie, Marco, John, Loma, Helen, Julie, Davina, Neery, Fred, Tony, Wilson, Raj and Juliette (apologies for all the other wonderful staff if we missed you).

We had an exceptional birthday holiday at this hotel.

From the moment we arrived at Port Vila airport, the experience was delightful.

Nelson warmly greeted us, assisted with our luggage, and offered cold mineral water and chilled towels on the bus, which was a refreshing start after our flight.

Upon arrival at the hotel, John and his friendly team welcomed us with music and singing, and the manager Raj greeted us at the lobby. The staff, including Davina, Helen, and our sunset cruise captain Joe , were all professional and super friendly.

The holiday was fantastic, with excellent activities and experiences arranged by the hotel. For snorkelling enthusiasts like us, exploring the stunning coral reefs of Moso Island, Island Picnic Experience and enjoying the sunset cruise were highlights.

On my birthday night, the hotel arranged for a local band to sing a birthday song for me while surprising me with a beautiful cake. I was genuinely touched by their thoughtfulness.

Although some signs of age are visible in the hotel's décor that could use updates; overall maintenance is still commendable.

The meals provided were delicious and well-presented; however we found some portions to be small due to our larger appetites haha. Additionally it would be great if more beverage options besides mineral water were offered in the minibar.

This vacation left a very positive impression of Vanuatu, and I look forward to returning!

The property is beautiful - quiet, relaxing and great food. The staff are just so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The only thing that has marred our stay is the inaccurate information provided by QANTAS in this deal for travel to and from Vanuatu. This false advertising has caused a lot of stress, as we were meant to fly direct from Sydney as advertised but instead were diverted and left stranded in Auckland for three days due to last minute flight cancellation then had flights to get us home cancelled as well. Spending hours on the phone to Qantas and getting no help from them, paying extra$$ for new flights has made this holiday hard to enjoy as it was intended. And we know others here from Australia have experienced the same ordeal. Fly Virgin only to Vanuatu!

The Havannah is a slice of paradise. My friends and I recently celebrated my birthday at the Havannah. The staff surprised me with a birthday song and a special cake. We had two lagoon pool villas. The rooms were clean and impressive. The staff at the Havannah are for me what makes it a 5***** establishment. So friendly, attention to details, and really welcoming. Shout out to Max, the dingy driver, John, Ron and Lily. They served us well and indulged our every request. The all day light menu and a la carte menus were scrumptious and full of variety. Special mention to the pan fried prawns. Oh la la it’s like waking up in heaven. The ladies that do the spa treatments are amazing too. I really recommend the full body relaxation massage. The picnic and sunset cruise is a definite must do too.

Thank you so much for making my 40th birthday amazing and memorable. I will definitely be back.

I became sick due to a parasite from contaminate food or water so whilst I thought it was a nice resort, that didn’t bode well. Also, I think it needed to be mentioned that all drinks including juices, soft drinks and sparkling water had to be purchased for the duration of the stay and were not included.

Greg & Liz are delightful hosts and the staff are extremely considerate in everything they do. The suite we stayed in was overlooking a beautiful stretch of water with other islands not very far away and provided a great home-base for a week of relaxation. The Havannah's chef is also to be congratulated as we didn't have a meal that was not too our liking. This resort is definitely worth your time visiting and we were saddened to leave and hope to be returning in the near future.

Beautiful location with crystal clear waters and great sunsets. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Villa was well appointed, comfortable bed with a great view across the harbour. Food was very nice, though expensive and the selection isn't large. To be expected though, the location is isolated and transport links in the area aren't great. Is an adults only resort and with its small capacity, you can be assured of your personal space being respected and quiet being assured. Great place for a relaxing, indulgent holiday for couples.

Beautiful resort in an amazing paradise, but what made this resort so memorable was the staff and our interactions with them. They were all so helpful and friendly. A couple of the staff that we meet had a great sense of humour that we shared a few laughs with, it made it just that much better. When we return to Vanuatu we wont stay anywhere else.

A relaxing and friendly place to stay

We went to The Havannah to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff made every effort to greet you personally by name and enjoyed helping you get the best out of your stay the enjoyed their work. The seaside villa we had was perfect. We indulged ourselves with a massage, a romantic dinner on the pier and a picnic on a secluded beach on a neighbouring island.

The opportunities for snorkelling, swimming in our plunge pool and relaxing on our deck were readily available. We organised to do a sunset cruise, go fishing and visit the turtle farm. We took the resort bus into Port Vila to do shopping and snorkel at Hideaway Island.

The meals in the restaurant were excellent and the entertainment provided on two occasions was top class. We decided the we must return in the future.

The minute we arrived at Havannah, we knew we were in for a super relaxing holiday. The reception staff were friendly and immediately put us at ease. The beachfront bure was amazing with own plunge pool, swinging day beds and views over the Havannah harbour. The breakfast was delicious with a full varied menu. We enjoyed unlimited use of the catamaran, snorkelling and stand up paddleboards. Kayaks were also on offer. all the staff including the cleaning, and gardern staff are friendly and happy.
A holiday to remember forever.

Perfect location - Terrible service/food

Everything was excellent except the service of food and beverages. While the staff were lovely, everything took about an hour or more to come out making for very long meals. And when it arrived it was below average. (Not worth the wait).

The included picnic was wonderful (best meal too), the facilities were clean and the available equipment was excellent- standup paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, kayaks etc. Best sunset I have seen! For these reasons I would stay there again.

I would recommend this place to people with the tip of going elsewhere for meals.

My advice is to stay on the deserted island for at least 3 hours! You may not want to leave! Food was amazing, we stayed in a Waterfront Villa and with its own pool this is a must!

We had a wonderful stay of 11 nights at the resort and from the moment we arrived until we left everything was perfect. The staff are friendly and always remember your name from the moment they meet you.We stayed in a garden room which we loved because of the privacy of their location in the resort. The food is delicious, fresh with lots to choose from seafood to chicken and beef, including daily specials. We were there for Valentines day and enjoyed a 5 course dinner with a show from a local band. You can snorkel right out the front of the resort and also took advantage of a beach drop off with a picnic to the island opposite the resort that one of the staff can drop you off and pick you up. With no children at this resort you can laze around the pool or bar with no distractions. We really needed a rest and this was the perfect place to stay.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here from the 8th-13th of January 2017.
All round this is a great place to stay especially for couples who want to relax and be greeted by the wonderful staff that make your stay a a pleasure.

All staff are welcoming and friendly and a special mention to John, Dominique, Lily and Frederick the manager. If attention is what you expect from a quality resort there is no lack of it at The Havannah!

The resort is somewhat isolated so be sure to get a rent a car if you plan on moving around. Personally, I think the resort could use a gym and maybe a small store where one could buy some groceries but all in all it is a top pick and worth recommending!

Beautiful villa, poor service not value for money

Expensive, not value for money. No-one met us at drop-off point from transport, we couldn’t even see where reception was. Carried own luggage in. Cursory greeting mainly consisted of ensuring that we both signed an indemnity form. Not shown our room facilities. Villa was beautiful: well-appointed, clean inside and spacious. Unfortunately not much else was up to the same standard. Had to constantly re-log on to the Wifi virtually every time it was used. Watered-down liquid soap and body lotion. TV advertised films which were mostly “not available” and TV series with episodes missing. Had to remind restaurant staff repeatedly about drinks orders. They tried to charge us for a drink we had not had. They advertised a complimentary sunset cruise every evening: first evening it could not go because relevant staff member had “gone to pick someone up”. Second evening, cruise sailed without us despite the fact that we arrived early and had checked our booking. Shower ran hot or cold when any other tap was turned on. One of wooden steps down from our villa to the beach was dangerously loose. All of them had muddy footprints on them when we first arrived. Outside barbecue and fridge looked dirty. Staff were all friendly but some of their personal hygiene needs improvement. Transfers were very expensive charged in addition. At check out, told about 3.5% surcharge for all cards, even debit, and they don't take AmEx. Simple improvements could make such a difference.

A jewel in Vanuatu

This is quaint, boutique resort is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, the friendly staff knows your name and ensures to learn your habits to better serve you. I loved my lagoon villas. The protected bay is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. Don't miss the daily complimentary sunset cruise of the Havannah bay on the resort catamaran. Also, make sure you visit the Lelepa Island to snorkel the Marine Sanctuary.

The resort is placed in a beautiful spot, half an hour away from Port Vila, which is great as there's no disturbance or noise. If you want to unwind, this is the place to go. Adults only resort will let you fully relax and use all the facilities as per your liking. Staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Fresh flowers, bottle of bubbly on arrival are waiting for you. Can't remember when I had such a relaxing holiday! Forgot to add that the menu is better than in many 5 stars restaurants and fresh catch of the day can't be any fresher! Loved it!

We enjoyed our honeymoon at The Havannah. Staff were friendly, and room was wonderful- spacious and clean. Personal plunge-pool and private aspect made for a perfect honeymoon location. About 30 mins outside Port Villa, but that was OK since our break was all about relaxing.

Tranquil Location for a Romantic Holiday - Bliss!

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at The Havannah, our first visit to Vanuatu. We were after a stress-free environment and this adults only resort was precisely what we had hoped for - 18 free-standing villas and a maximum of 36 guests at any one time. We stayed in a waterfront villa with our own plunge pool just above the turquoise sea. In the early mornings we could see fish in the clear water below us swimming & jumping; on one occasion a stingray leaped out of the water, and on our final day we saw not only a tortoise but also a mother and baby dugong, which we had been looking out for all week.
Our villa was handsomely furnished with plenty of space in and out, including a suspended queen-sized daybed outside for reading or dozing in the breeze and two sun-loungers. It was spotlessly clean and the room was made up each day and bed turned down each evening.
It suited us to spend our days relaxing - reading, cocktails at sunset, swimming & snorkeling (free masks & flippers), a picnic on another island with a coral reef, a day-trip to Port Vila, lots of siestas. Each night we had the choice of dining in the restaurant, on the grass under the lamp-lit tree, down on the beach with a BBQ and bonfire, on the jetty - or having room service.
We had intended to book a massage at the spa, take advantage of the free kayaks & catamarans, enjoy the complimentary 90 minute sunset cruise, visit any amount of fabulous other highlights in Vanuatu...next time, soon!

BEST resort experience I have ever had!!!!

I have travelled all over the world, and stayed at many 5 * hotels, but this by far was the BEST of the BEST overall experience that I ever have had. I was not expecting it since it was rated 4* (since it doesn’t offer 24 hour reception/room service) and the photos don’t do the resort justice. It is really a 5* ++ experience . I attribute it to leadership of the general manager Frederick. His attention to detail and customer service is far superior to any other experience I’ve had. Every staff member knows your name and go out of there way (thank you and I miss you)! The food is absolutely exquisite and the menu is very extensive offering combinations of flavors that you wouldn’t think would go together but are delightful (try the vanilla prawns) and the breakfast is included (the food was so good I asked for recipes for everything). The grounds and rooms are beautiful too. The linens are soft and perfect. The lots of included water sports. The spa services are wonderful as well. Monday nights they have local music and dancers come that was so much fun. They went out of their way when my flight was cancelled last minute and even upgraded me to the suite with an outdoor tub, private cabana, infinity pool, and beach. I am the sort of traveler that would always want to see a new place, but I will most definitely be going back regularly, this is the best experience (and best value) I have had and recommend it as the #1 choice when planning a holiday.

A little piece of heaven on Earth

My wife and I, chose the havannah to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary without the kids. The resort has a boutique feel, with exceptional facilities. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, with amazing smiles and willing hands. There is plenty to do from, swimming on a private beach, various pools, paddle boarding, kayaking, mini catamarans, tennis, snorkelling etc... Additionally, they can organise dinner on the private jetty, private picnics on secluded parts of the island across the resort, local village tours, beachside BBQ's and external tours.

Finally what we really loved is managements passion to assist worthy causes through the resort such as assisting the turtle sanctuary to save the endangered hawksbill turtles or funding raised to help a local village child to go to secondary school or help educate against domestic violence. All worthy causes.
