This property had everything I needed. The Front desk was extremely hospitable, the breakfast team were super helpful and the security was second to none. Alex always made sure my room was nice and neat when I came in from work! :) I would absolutely recommend and stay again

Good location. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms though are average. Paper thin walls means you can hear every word for people next to you.
The pillows were also lumpy. Requested and iron which was broken and had split cable making it dangerous.

Fantastic hotel! The staff are the most friendly and helpful I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, they were extremely helpful and they also prepared a birthday cake for one of my party. If i ever return to Belgrade i will definitely stay at this hotel again. Location wise it was perfect, right next to Serbian Parliament.

1) NOISY - Although I had a nice room, there was no fan or AC working in the hotel (something about the city does not allow them to turn on until April) so that required that I keep my window at night open so as not to suffocate. Unfortunately, VERY LOUD street. 2) Breakfast is thoroughly uninspired and meager and 3) lack of bottled water avail in the evenings and the mini-bar came with just two cans of soda and a tiny bottle of water that was never replaced.

The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had good power but the layout was a bit tight. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was nice as your really close to Saint Mark's and a beautiful park. It was about a 20min walk from Sava Church and about the same for Knez Mihailova. They had cupcakes for guests near the entrance on my first day but then it was taken away and not available for the other days which was a shame.

Great location within 10 minutes walking distance of the train and bus stations. Single twin bed room is comfortable and modern, good for one person, but the bathroom is a bit cramped. People are very friendly. Front desk clerk gave me the wrong location for the nearby bus stop to the airport - this should be very easy information for them to get right.

Hotel location is great. Not far from city center and right across the Parliament and city hall.
Hotel staff are very nice and helpful and there is a parking arrangement not far.
My room was a bit dark and outdated. The shower was treble with no water pressure and the whole this needs to be renovated.

Shower nozzle cracked and sprays water everywhere (in your eyes). Air con fiddly and can’t get temp right. Location is not great, not many bars, restaurants etc nearby (10 min walk). Cleaner stormed into the room at 8am without knocking. After that we checked out a day early with no refund. Better hotels in same price category.

Fantastic value property in the city Center

Excelsior is a 1920ies hotel that has undergone extensive renovation. All facilities are new, rooms are nice, with a/c and nice bathrooms. The staff are really great - very pleasant, very helpful (by the 3rd night of my stay they remembered my room number). The location is excellent, right next to the President's residence, walking distance to the main pedestrian area. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

Overall a pleasant one night stay. Having never been to Belgrade before and not done much price comparison with other hotels in the area, I cannot speak much on whether the price was a value for the size of the room in which I had. It was well equipped with all amenities advertised, very clean but quite small to say the least. The level of professionalism and competency of the staff was above and beyond what I expected and the great location pulled the overall experience above the bar to where I would both stay here again (different/larger room) and recommend it to others. Kudo's.....keep up the good work

upon arrival they could not find our booking, we got a keys to a room where someone was already staying. Hotel under renovations, no sleep in as building work starts at 6;30-7;00am. some of the rooms have no view as you cant see out of the window. No information on what you could do once in Belgrade (beautifull city) they dont even provide you with a map, so you are on your own. Breakfast ok as long as you dont mind them watching you to see how much you eat. Local language helpfull as hotel staff (appart from couple of recepcion staff) dont speak English even though signs are also written in English as well as Serbian. rooms not overly clean, we got bathroom with shower over bath(bath had no plug -SO USELESS). If you're looking for place to stay thats central to everything and you dont want much sleep this is a place for you.

Other than the less than desirable choice of artwork, this hotel is a pretty good place to stay. The rooms are comfortable but the traffic is noisy. Breakfast was fabulous. The staff was wonderful to talk to and very helpful.

Good value hotel in good location

I arrived from the train station and it was only a 10 minute walk to the hotel and then from there the centre of the city is close too. The hotel was nice, friendly on reception who all spoke excellent english. Room was nice and comfortable. I was leaving on the train very early the next day but they provided a packed breakfast for me so that was good. Would recommend the hotel for a short stay in Belgrade

Great central location for tourist points, short taxi to financial district. 20/25 mins taxi to airport. Rooms renovated 2009, clean and comfortable, particularly bathrooms. Staff freindly and helpful. Breakfast basic, ok, but could be so easily improved. No hotel bar is a shame, without tea/coffee in room a nightcap is impossible. Recommended particularly for anyone wishing to explore the City - its a great base without fuss.

Very nice hotel

The location of the hotel is great - it is in the center of Belgrade and in walking distance to nice pedestrian zone, restaurants and cafes. During my stay the hotel the renovation was in its completion stage. The room was very nice and clean. There were no air conditioner and refrigerator in my room, I am not sure about other rooms. Free wi-fi was available in the room, though the signal was not very strong and the speed was not fast. The personnel are friendly and responsive, speak good English.

A property returning to old pride

Renovation now taking place will make this hotel truly great. Already the rooms are fantastic, the service is good, food is good, and soon the exterior as well as the reception, corridors and elevators will be great too. I will 100% return to this property - it is the most underpriced and underrated place I have stayed in a long while. Thanks! I will see you all soon again.

try it again after the renovation is completed

location is ideal. price is no value for money one day the room was not made up till we asked at 5 pm, the elevator reminds us of the parisien one person elevators. we didnot dare to go up with 2 people and suitcases. potentially the hotel is OK, but they still have to get used to the fact that they are now not anymore a state owned hotel. breakfast food was soso.

Hotel in posizione fantastica, a 15 minuti a piedi dalla fermata del bus A1 da e per l'aeroporto a Piazza Slavija. A 20 minuti di passeggiata al centro della città a Piazza Repubblica, tutto è molto vicino. Negozi, cafè e market vicini. Staff molto gentile, camera bella, ampia e pulita con bollitore e caffè e te'. Consiglio questo hotel e ci tornerei una seconda volta.

Friendly staff, good location.

this hotel is located next to the parlament. you have to walk at least 15m to the main square and 25 to the fortress. Still it was OK. Staff service is very good! nice, friendly and concern about the guest.

I dont give them 5 stars for 2 reasons:

cleaning is not so good. we could tell they didnt clean the room very well, actually when we arrived there was garbage from the previous guest still in our trash can.
And second, because of the lift. It just fits 2 persons so you could wait a while depending on \"traffic\".

the room was medium size and the bathroom was ok. Its an old building but you can tell they made an effort to have it updated.

Mercure Hoteli seçme sebebimiz bilinirliği sen dolayı temiz olacağını düşünerek seçtik fakat büyük bir hayal kırıklığıydı.
Tuvalet banyo oldukça pisti yerde saç kılları vardı daha ilk odaya girdiğimizde banyo zemininde.Ayrıca klozetin oturulan kapağında sarı lekeler vardı.Ve de banyo kapısının üstünde içeride kalan kısımda yine sarı ve kahverengi bir sürü leke vardı.Oldukça bakımsız ve pisti maalesef.
Ayrıca mini dolapta olan 2 tane suyu her yerde ücretsiz olarak bildiğimiz için içmiş bulunduk ikram olarak.Meğerse şehir vergisi öderken öğrendik ki onlar da ücretliymiş.Ve de 2 suya 620 sır dinarı ödemiş olduk ve bu da oldukça tatsız bir deneyimdi.
Genel olarak hiç memnun kalmadık.Oldukça olumsuzdu bizim için.

une semaine à la visite de Belgrade, en un mot Magnifique.
Cependant, l'hôtel MERCURE n'a pas le même standard des autres. Il est plutôt ancien, vieux, mais la chambre confortable. panne d'ascenseur, celui est très lent, un seul.
Chambre pas fait, obligé de réclamer. Il me semble qu'il manque de personnel afin de bien gérer. Heureusement, que le personnel est très agréable, tous. La serveuse TAMARA est une belle femme plein de vitalité, de courage. Donc on a pardonné tous les défauts grâce à la gentillesse de tous le personnel. Ce fut un bon séjour.
