The breakfast was reasonable and the staff were mediocre. I have no idea why this hotel gets such high ratings. The hotel is stuck in the 1900’s with its design and decor. The room’s furnishings are so outdated. The shower was ridiculous in that you had to stand in the bath and angle the shower head down or else it would spray over the glass protector but it was so low you had to duck to get your head wet while up against the side shower wall.
Be warned that if you don’t like cigarette smoke then don’t book here because people smoke everywhere including the restaurant and lounge.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel until they have upgraded everything and banned smoking inside.
Our initial booked room was so small that two people with two suitcases couldn’t fit and the upgraded room was spacious but you have to leave your suitcases downstairs because there is no room for them in the bedroom which is upstairs.

The cigarette smoke raises from the second floor to living areas so that corridors and gets into corridors and rooms.
The restaurant is also so-so. Despite the name, it doesn't have many traditional Russian dishes and is overpriced.

The entire hotel was fantastic. Though the mattress was very firm but I still slept great. As old as the hotel is you can tell in the design and layout, though it's in great condition and well maintained, plus well updated. The high ceilings in the room felt luxurious even in a small room. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Also, pay the extra for the Mercedes pick up, it was practically a recliner, very comfortable.

Beautiful olde world central hotel

A fabulous hotel. Takes you back to the 1920s, with is beautiful architecture and steeped in history and an impressive list of famous guests.
But aslo it has up to date, technology
and great spa facilities.
The standard rooms are comfy, and bathrooms very clean. We upgraded to a superior duplex with was well worth the money, with a small sitting room and king size bed and bathroom on a mezzanine level. All very clean and makeup service daily.
The continental breakfast was not 'continental' as we would think. But full buffet, with plenty hot food and lovely cold selection of meats, chesses, vegetables, salads. It also has the best little homemade Gluten free bread rolls i had ever tasted !!! Along with a huge selection of other breads and pastries. Plenty teas and coffee or a glass of prosecco or mimosa if prefferred.
I also had a wonderful relaxing massage whilst we were there, and spa area was small but very adequate for our needs. We would love to come back to Belgrade and will definitely stay at the Hotel Moskva it is so centrally placed.

I had an economy room, so it was very basic.
The Bathroom was fairly small.
But, the room was very clean.
The bed was pretty comfortable..
It had plenty of Satellite Channels to watch on TV.

The Tchaikovsky Restaurant was pretty posh and had a good atmosphere.

It’s very close to Knez Mihailova Ulica and Republic Square.
Plenty of restaurants, shopping and places to visit nearby.

Overall, I’d stay here again.
Probably next time, spend a bit more for a bigger room.

Personally, it was a memorable experience for me because of the history of the Hotel and to say that I was a guest myself.

Fabulous Staff

Amazing Hotel with very attentive staff who are professional and kind. Beds are very comfortable. Cafe is excellent, cakes were very delicious. Enjoyable breakfast. Staff went to great lengths to find my husbands missing wallet that he lost in the Cafe after a long flight!! He was very embarrassed but so greatfull for their swift attention. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable!

Great location. Amazing service. I would highly recommend this hotel. The people that work there are great. The gym is very good and the sauna is great. Location is great. Very easy to walk to all locations. So t hesitiate to stay here. For the money can beat it. Breakfast is great too.

Pretty good stay

Overall, Hotel Moskva was pretty good. The location was great (close to pedestrian zone with many restaurants, shops, bars). Our room and the en-suite bathroom were very small with virtually no counter space. Service was excellent at front desk, concierge and restaurant. But in the lounge, we were ignored for half an hour, and we are older and were decently dressed.

Beds were awful , like bricks. Chairs in room also uncomfortable from the turn of the century. Shower/bath combo very bad for tall people. I had my head touching the ceiling.

Staff excellent, views excellent, location excellent, breakfast on patio amazing.

small size room and bathroom, needs some refurbishment, no parking slots available and surprise is mandatory deposit at check in (just in case guest will use mini bar and will not pay for that hahahahahaha), it is the old habit from the communist ages, breakfast cost is 18 EUR per person and is NOT listed in the hotels.com offer.

I’ve been staying in modern boutique hotels, but staying in an Art Nouveau masterpiece from 1908 was exciting to me. Our room was very traditional, but very large. It was nearly the size of a junior suite and had a large sitting area with a sofa and two chairs, I was impressed

The hotel is conveniently located to the area with restaurants and cocktail bars as well as historic buildings and the shopping boulevard

We didn’t opt for the breakfast, but had breakfast in the hotel restaurant anyway. Big portion of delicious avocado toast for about $8

The front desk staff was great !

I would stay there again

The location was excellent. Reception staff were friendly. The room was clean but a two level room with skewed steep wooden stairs. You need to go downstairs to shut windows and the drapes. The bathtub was little elevated and not comfortable. The corridors were smelly because of old rugs. Breakfast menu was moderate.

Lovely stay in a historical hotel in the center of the city. The staff were nice and helpful. The location is wornderful and all important historical monuments and restaurants, bars and entertainment areas are close by.

The rooms are in good condition and the old fashionedness of the lift lobbies adds to the charm.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Moskva, and I must say, it stands out as the best hotel in Serbia—perhaps even in all of Europe. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the most courteous front desk staff, a testament to the hotel's exceptional leadership.
Every aspect of my stay was truly delightful. The breakfast spread was nothing short of spectacular—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully curated to start the day on a high note. The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and elegantly designed, providing the perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
Beyond its remarkable hospitality, the hotel maintains an air of timeless sophistication, making every guest feel welcomed and cherished. If there’s one small suggestion I’d offer, it would be to consider adding CNN International and Bloomberg TV to the available channels, as they were not in service during my stay.
Overall, Hotel Moskva is an exceptional destination for any traveler seeking a luxurious and memorable experience in Belgrade. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon!

I liked everything except the fact that people smoke literally everywhere, and even if it is a non-smoking area, it is not properly isolated. But it is not just the Hotel’s issue, it’s in Belgrade in general.
In the hotel the elevators’ doors close way too fast, and I got hit on the shoulder a couple of times.

Kitchen staff not willing to prep coffee for early departure. Actually yelling back making you regret asking for a cup of coffee.
Booked a room for two people even though i travelled alone, to have a bit more room. So paid premium to have tilted bed, rolling to one side all night. I usually have decent stay at Moskva but this time was terrible. Hope it’s not a trend.

Old hotel. Small rooms. Even they don’t drop sleepers room. You need to call receptionist and get. No compliments water. No iron and no irin table. You need to use hotel iron service. No body lotions. Very small soap. Breakfast not reach. Still hotel using location advantage. If they didn’t improve such small things will lose new generation clients. Old fashion.

This was such a great stay and I don’t usually leave reviews. The highlight for sure was the restaurant and cafe.. you must try a piece of the famous cake there! Also it was great that this hotel was right off of the main pedestrian shopping road in Belgrade “Knyaz Mikaela” which made for a lovely stroll.
