Nice clean and wonderful staff.
However, the gym is very outdated with very old machine, only 1 treadmill out of 5 is in working order! Other equipment are old, not in safe order to operate and could cause serious injuries to the users. The resort could be liable to any injuries to the gusts/users.

The rooms were incredibly spacious – it felt like we had our own one-bedroom apartment, complete with a living room and kitchen. During our stay, it was windy for a few days due to winds coming from the north. However there was no wind on the other side of the island which was 20 mins drive so went there. (faliraki beach).

The hotel is not in the best state and the interior is very outdated. The location is great. Rules around ‘claiming’ swimming pool beds with towels are not being followed or corrected. Therefore the pool beds are always occupied.

Really great 4* hotel, we were 1 adult & two 14 year old girls for 9 nights.
Definitely go for the sea view so you are in the beachfront wing.
Entertainment team were fun - my kids did darts, water polo & football, & we all did aqua aerobics every morning with Mana & Heather.
Breakfasts are good, with a nice sea view
Lunchtime restaurant (we were only bed & breakfast) was good & varied with lovely Elina serving.
Nice beach but rocks to walk through to get to the water so the water shoes available in most shops were great - especially for the water park too!
Very close to a great street of restaurants & little shops perfect for holiday jewellery shopping. We loved pezouli & the Italian next door plus the 2 restaurants in the kostas village.
Recommend & enjoy!

Photos show a walk-in shower. The majority of the rooms have a bathtub shower. The head is only 2-3” dia. None of the front oceanview rooms have a walk-in shower.
Planes fly night and day over the hotel at a conversation-stopping noise level every 5-15 mins. Pick a hotel on the opposite side of the island.
The safe costs 18 euros for up to a week. If a day longer, pay again.
Some balconies are wide, others are 3 ft with a 4 ft. wall. Sitting on a chair, you can’t see out.
Beach is narrow, black sand with large pebbles.
Al a Carte dinner is $55 each
Rooms with a kitchen are well stocked however, while there are 3 “supermarkets” none sell any dinner food or even frozen TV dinners so kitchen stove useless. They sell packaged cold cuts, bread, cereal & snacks only.
Room has a coffee maker & kettle but not tea, coffee, sugar or cream. Hotel said take it from the restaurants.
They don’t supply bottled water, shampoo bottles, conditioner or a box of tissues, just a liquid dispenser that’s hard to pump. Got one free bottle of water with wine and fruit on arrival.
Rooms with a separate bedroom have no sofa or chairs in the living area, just two single beds to sit on. Our sheets & towels were gray and worn.
Thick cushioned deck chairs have no shade. Other deck chairs have an umbrella.
Has a kids pool, a teens pool & an adults-only pool. For noise, pick a room next to the desired pool. Overall the facility is attractive & clean.

The property had some nice updates. The adult only pool and bar were very nice along with the lobby area Thalassa. Beautiful ocean views, entertainment activities throughout the day, and excellent capucinos.
The food was mediocre and water wasn’t available for guests in the lobby. My room had a funky order and the air conditioning was minimal.

As expected. Rooms were excellent and the bar/ kitchen staff were very friendly. The all inclusive option was good value and the food was on the whole good. The pools were great for children and there were a range of activities on offer.

The only negative comment I have is that the mini-club was very insecure (an open door, not far from a road) and the staff didn't seem to have any childcare experience. They were more interested in a daily dance around the pool than ensuring the children were entertained and cared for. This was really disappointing.

This place looks awesome in its website photos, and there is no doubt that the seaview rooms have gorgeous views.
Came here after 3 perfect days in Lindos. (Highly recommend Melenos Lindos Hotel!) Then, 2 great days in Old Town Rhodes at Elafusa hotel.👍👍
Thought it would be nice on our last 2 days to be on beach to swim & lounge, so came here. View was awesome. Everything else, not so much. No one mentioned that this was the (very) windy side of island. Waves move horizontally from beach rather than coming toward beach. Great for wind surfers and sailors, but not for swimming. Beach is mostly large rocks. Hotel’s “private beach” charges 10 euro a day for 2 lounges and an umbrella. 2 euros each for old towels you can only exchange every 3 days. Not on website... it’s directly under a low flight path for nearby airport. Noisy. Kid pool shoulder-to-shoulder crowded. Food service bad.
Room 125 needs serious updating. Bedspreads look like they’re from 1980s. Bathroom had funky smell from get-go. Used our own nice-smelling shampoos in the sink and tub trying to make it better, but it didn’t. I got carsick on taxi ride there and had to lie down, so gingerly removed bedspread before nap. Found out next day the smell was from mold in much of grout around tub. Even soap dispenser had mold. Barely working hair dryer was dirty and outdated. My husband is a strong swimmer so he went out. I didn’t swim once. Do not recommend.

I really liked the hotel and most everyone very friendly
Breakfast was very good but staff a bit rude: I waited about 10 minutes as I was not sure about giving my ticket to someone and nobody came so I sat down. When they passed by I went to give them ticket and they said I was suppose to wait as I was at the wrong table. Maybe a good idea would be to assign table number ahead of time

Great hotel on the beach side, with great pools areas for both kids and adults and kids playing room.
The room was very big and comfortable and with an equipped kitchen.
The staff were great and friendly.
The only problem we had is one cockroach in the toilets, but I guess that can happen and it was handled quickly by sending a guy with a spray.

Great Family Resort. After brief issue with our room; the staff quickly tried to correct the issue; but then without any question offered a new room. The resort is an easy walk to shopping, groceries, and restaurants. There is public bus stop about 1k away to take a 15 min ride to Rhodes City and Old Towne.

Expansive resort, plenty of activities for kids

This is a great hotel with extremely friendly staff. As a family of 6 , I requested two adjoining rooms. Unfortunately these weren’t available so we were offered a free upgrade and two days All Inclusive instead!
There are plenty of activities for kids; including Kids’ Club, Mini Disco, Face painting, football , play parks, all on site.
The evening buffet was extensive and good quality, my only criticism is the draught beer which my husband didn’t enjoy!
The location is central and close to the airport so there is a little aircraft noise and street entertainment in the evenings.
However, we all had a fantastic time on a beautiful Island and we would all recommend it.

We Stayed in a deluxe apartment with seaview for 9 nights. The apartment was great and quite newly renovated. There is a small kitchen with everything you need to make breakfeast as we did every morning.
When we came, there was a lovely Selection of fresh fruit, a bottle of white Wine and a bottle of water waiting for us in the apartment.
There was also some coffie and tea we could use as a start. Thumb’s up for this.
Pool area was great. Easy to get a sun bed.
The was 3 pools. 1 for the smallest kids, 1 for the the older kids and 1 for the the Big kids and adults. Easy Access to the Beach where Sun beds was available for rent.
The nearby area was also great with a good Selection of restaurants, bars and shops.
We Can recormend the small family driven Greek restaurant San Alotte and the Italian restaurant Cavo Italiano.
We never tried the food at the hotel. But we Heard it was a very Big Selection of nice food in the buffet restaurant which also is a part of the all inclusive concept.
You have the possibility to upgrade to all inclusive in the reception. For 1, 3 or the whole stay.
I Think we will have tried to eat at the hotel if the prices was a bit lower. In stead we walked out in the street and found a restaurant where the prices was lower.
But all in all a nice stay at a very good hotel.

The front desk lacks hospitality.

The resort on the beachside is the hotel I stayed. It is well laid out and has everything you could possibly need. I is a wonderful resort.
The downside: The personality of some of the front desk people needs to be improved. They should be more friendly, helpful and informative. In my opinion it seems like they are mad or annoyed when you ask them something. Outside of that it's a wonderful stay.

This is a hotel in two separate buildings. Beware.

The above ratings apply to the main hotel, not the one we were placed in. The main hotel had good pools ( but very busy with constant loud music and animation), and access to the beach, as indicated on the Expedia website. The hotel we were in was across a busy local road, with no direct access to the beach. We were allocated a two bed studio without garden view, but had booked a three bed studio with garden view, because no sea view was available. The kitchen facilities in the room were old, rusty, and very poor. Our complaints were dismissed by the hotel staff and not acted on by Expedia. Would never use this hotel again, and would not use Expedia.

Best holiday experience

By far the most amazing experience me and family had at the hotel. We stayed at the apartment with the sea view and were able to watch the sun set daily. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The reception staff were very helpful, professional and courteous. The premises staff responded to issues on a timely manner. Every guest was treated with respect and made to feel at home. My children were entertained all the time and joined the animation team with their dance. These group of entertainers are amazing, managed by Stefano all of them were so enthusiastic and passionate about what they did throughout the day from sports, kids club, fire show, competitions and dances. Me and my son were given birthday cakes and I was also sent a bottle of wine and fruits. Lots of brilliant restaurants wirhin 5 minutes walk.I could write a whole book about my experience here if I was a writer

Great hotel for a great vacation - recommended!

The stay was amazing for our family with 2 little girls. The entertainments for kids are very good, and the complex provides variety of pools and a great beach.
The only downsides are the extra pay for towels, water at meels and beach chairs.
Also, some people might find the aircrafts traffic disturbing.
For us, the overall experience was great and we recommend this hotel and suggest to take a see view apartment as we had.

It's a lot more dated than it looks in the picture

We paid for a sea view but because we were put on the bottom floor you could only see the sea when you were stood up. The hotel is dated compared to the pictures. Rooms are a good size. The bed in the bedroom is comfy but the ones in the living area are like sleeping on wood! Animation staff were fantastic with the kids. Pool area is lovely and comfortable sunbeds but not enough to go around in peak season. The waiters need to learn to wipe their sweat away before coming to serve you too!

We were upgraded because we have 2 little ones. The room was spacious and clean and there were 2 bathrooms which was a nice bonus. No complaints about the rooms. The pool had nice slides for little ones which was perfect. The animation team provided some good entertainment as well and got us moving with their energy and music. Our only suggestion is that the pool area is quite slippery with its older tiles and could use an upgrade at this point. The food at the buffet is exceptional, tasty, high quality and a huge variety.

Everything was great, starting from that we got a better room, late check-out. Food was good, facilities for kids: play room, swimming pool, outdoors playground, animators, easy beach access, they even have strallers available if you dont have your own.One thing could be improved: showers and changing room facilities on the las day if you have late flight. We would cone back if in Rhodes again.

Nice hotel, we had a good time.
Shame that the hotel chooses to charge extra for anything really.
We opted for half board with dinner included. To our surprise, we had to purchase water at dinner - they would not serve free tap water in those warm days. A 1Litre bottle will set you back 3.2Euro. Outrageous.
For towels you will pay 2 Euro each.

Nice hotel overall, but these little things make you wonder if you will ever go back.
Look for other options first.

On the beach and close to the airport.

We stayed for one night prior to departing on an early morning flight. Our room was a one bedroom suite for a family of five. The room was very nice, clean, very comfortable, and had a great ocean view. Outdoor pool area was nice as was the beach. Plenty of lounge chairs in both locations. We would highly recommend this hotel for a short term stay but not sure that I would want to stay for more than a week.

Shame about it being end of season

Last week in oct- amazing weather compared the the UK but unfortunately hotel was already starting to close down for the winter whilst we were there. Saying that- we had the pools practically to ourselves and the staff were still good. Playgrounds etc still available but main kids club closed at that time. They stil enjoyed the 'play hotel ' though. Lovely to hear the sound of the sea and be close enough to go to Rhodes town in the day/ evening.

Worst hotel I've been in in my life.

We paid extra for a "sea view" room. We got a room overlooking the pool where if we leaned over the balcony the sea was just visible in the distance on the left hand side.
If you don't have children don't stay here. The daytime relaxation by the pool was spoiled by ridiculously loud children's "entertainment" which was exactly the same every day, so even if you liked it at first it was driving you mad by the end of two weeks.
I got the impression that it's main reason for it's existence was to show prospective customers of the adjoining timeshare how bad standard hotels can be.
The best thing about it was it's fairly easy to get away from and find somewhere else to go.

Dirty room and particularly filthy bathroom floor with air conditioning that failed to work meaning the room was like an uncomfortable sauna. Would not recommend!

Perfect place for a family holiday

We had a great time in Rhodes and at the Sun Beach Hotel. We were there during the off season- last week the hotel was open before the winter shut down. It was very quiet which was just what we were looking for. The front desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. They really looked after us and because it was quiet they upgraded our room. They also let us check out later which us helpful. The restaurant staff were very nice and professional. The food was delicious and there was always lots of it. We rented a car from the company that is based out of the hotel and once again that worked out great. We are planning on going back and when we do we will stay at Sun Beach.

We went in Aug12 with our 3 year old daughter and had a fantastic time. We stayed self catering and the room was a little tight with a put up bed / camp bed. My parents stayed B&B and their room had 3 single beds so much better option if you are not planning on using the basic SC facilities.
Pool area is fantastic, usual problem with sunbeds which wasnt a surprise at this time of year. The staff did remove towels on sunbeds before 9am but we still saw sunbeds empty for the majority of the day.
The amination team ,particularly the ladies were brilliant.
Gym is very small with no air conditioning so in my opinion unusable in the very warm months.
Great location and excellent staff, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

On the beach, and relatively close to town

The hotel is divided into two buildings, one (with apartments) are on the beachside, but ours were on the other side of the street, but thats OK. You can use all the pools at both places. The kidsclub is great and lots ofthings is going on all the time. The breakfast is OK, and so also the buffetdinner. Fixed price to town:12 Euro and airport about 14 E, anohter 2 E if the hotel call a cab for you. Rental car company at the hotel which offers good cars to good prices.

A good 4* hotel, breakfast extensive and friendly approachable staff. The only drawback was on arrival the room was not ready, and the beds are very hard, apart from that good location and great views. Bar reasonably priced, happy hour between 6-7pm, all in all a good break and a nice clean hotel.

I went in March, although this is not quite yet tourist season, and my experience at the hotel was fantastic. They spoke fluent english and were extremely accommodating and helpful. When I found a cockroach in the bathroom of my old room, I told them, and they immediately moved me to another room, which had a scenic view of pool and the beach. If anything is not to your satisfaction at this hotel, they will do their best to fix it. Each standard room comes with a double bed, a balcony, cooking corner, and a fridge, so I was very comfortable. They also have extremely cheap rental cars (manuel) which you can rent in the hotel lobby(approx. 35 euro-day), and right in front of the hotel is a convenience store for all needs (food, sunscreen, swimwear, Rhodes books, etc...). A taxi ride there from the airport is only 12 euro. I highly recommend!

Das Hotel sieht aus wie auf den Fotos. Die Zimmerappartements sind groß, gepflegt, man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf das Meer und im Bad ist alles Notwendige vorhanden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und lecker. Der Außenbereich und die Aktivitäten sind wie beschrieben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wir waren vom 08.09. bis 17.09. mit unserer kleinen Tochter im Sun Beach Resort und sind begeistert.

Das Essen war jeden Tag abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker – es gab immer genügend Auswahl, auch für Kinder. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer mit einem Lächeln da, egal ob im Restaurant, an der Rezeption oder am Pool.

Besonders toll fanden wir, dass es genug Aktivitäten sowohl für Kinder als auch für Erwachsene gab. Unsere Tochter hatte im Kinderbereich und beim Spielen am Pool richtig viel Spaß, während wir Erwachsenen auch mit Sportangeboten und Unterhaltung auf unsere Kosten gekommen sind.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und wurden regelmäßig gründlich gereinigt – wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Auch die Anlage insgesamt ist sehr gepflegt, die Pools sind sauber, und die Lage direkt am Strand ist einfach traumhaft.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Es gibt immer genügend Liegen und Sonnenschirme am Pool und am Strand, man muss nicht früh morgens „reservieren“. Außerdem ist die Anlage so angelegt, dass man trotz vieler Gäste nie das Gefühl hat, dass es überfüllt ist.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne und entspannte Zeit und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder – absolut empfehlenswert für Familien!

We had a fantastic time at the hotell ! The room was cozy and spotless, the staff was kind and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring. We had a delicious breakfast and we was happy that there was a super market near the hotell . We’d gladly return .

New areas of this resort like lobby, seafront restaurant and infinity pool are modern contemporary style. The rooms instead are clean but outdated. I give 3 star only becouse all inclusive package is somewhat poor. Food is medicore at best and drinks are available only at far end bar

Die Lage war gut, aber beim Frühstücksbuffet fehlten frische Säfte, frischer Honig, Feta Käse. Die Zimmer waren in einem guten Zustand, aber die Bettwäsche wurde nicht gewechselt. Wegen dem Regen ist die Klimsanlage ausgefallen. Die Sonnenliegen wurden schon früh reserviert, obwohl es erst ab 10 Uhr erlaubt war

Schönes Hotel, direkt am Strand, Supermarkt gleich daneben, Bars und Geschäfte in der Nähe. Aber die Flugzeuge vom Flughafen fliegen bereits sehr tief und direkt übers Hotel daher laut, nachts kommen nur wenige Flieger.

Utrolig fint sted , flotte rom med sjø utsikt. Veldig fint basseng området og 3 sekunder og gå til stranden. Anbefaler virkelig dette stedet. Veldig god mat på resturantene. Likte ikke all inclusive.

Das Zimmer war stets sauber und für uns 2 Erwachsene und 2 kleine Kinder völlig ausreichend. Es wurde, wenn man wollte, täglich gereinigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Schade war, dass die Liegen am Strand nach 3 Tagen kostenpflichtig wurden. Die Liegen an den Pools blieben kostenfrei.

Personal freundlich. Mehrere Pools, auch extra für "Adult only" Dadurch verteilt es sich gut. Animateure sehr bemüht. Ruhig ist es durch das Programm eher nicht. Zimmer war im Haupgebäude von der Lage her gut, Ausstattung auch.Abzug gibt es beim Essen. Auswahl und Quallität waren nicht gut. Frühstücksgebäude war neu und modern. Das Gebäude zum Abendessen jedoch alt und kahl. Meer mit Kieselsteinen. Badeschuhe empehlenswert. Safe im Zimmer gibt es nur gegen Aufpreis. An sich zufriedenstellend, würden das nächste Mal allerdings ein Hotel mit Sandstrand ausprobieren.

3 Sterne Hotel, angenehmer Aufenthalt. Essen bei Halbpension gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Freundliches Personal.
Bei den Eingängen zur Poollandschaft hat es Regeln geschrieben, z.B keine Reservation von Liegen, U16 kein Zutritt usw. Leider kontrolliert das keiner, Liegen sind den ganzen Tag mit Tücher belegt aber keiner kommt, schade für die, die auch gern am Pool verweilen möchten.
Ansonsten alles Tutti.

Jouduimme muutaman tunnin olon jälkeen vaihtamaan hotelli huonetta koska oli kova sade ja makuuhuoneen katosta tippui vettä pöydälle. Viereinen huone oli hyvä. Hotellin henkilökunta hoiti asian moitteettomasti.
Muuten koko viikko oli loistava.
Thalassa ravintola hotellissa oli täysi 10. Hyvät ruoat ja mahtava palvelu.

Hotelli oli siisti ja siivouspalvelu toimi hyvin joka päivä. Huoneiden kuvat eivät kuitenkaan ihan vastanneet todellisuutta, huone oli vanhempi mitä kuva antoi ymmärtää. Henkilökunta avuliasta ja englannin kieli sujui. Ruoka hyvää ja monipuolista. Hotellilla hyvin järjestettyä aktiviteettiä päivät kuluivat hyvin myös vain hotellilla. Miinuksena hotellin meren rannalla aurinkotuolit maksullisia. Altaalla tuoleja runsaasti.

L'accueil de la part de MIKAELA a été exécrable, son seul avantage est qu'elle pale le Français, sinon elle n'est pas arrangeante mais surtout hautaine et méprisante. Mes enfants lui ont demandés un jeu pour la Play station elle ne les a pas considérés. A l'arrivée nous étions déçus de l'hôtel, la première chose qu'elle à demandée c'est que l'on paye de suite, même pas un léger réconfort ou un verre d'eau. ELLE N'EST PAS FAITES POUR TRAVAILLER DANS LE TOURISME. Par contre la femme de ménage IRINI à été ADORABLE.
