Stay was wonderful. Beautiful location just far enough away out of the way of the busy downtown. Walkable to town if you are a walker. Took me about 25 min to walk to town mostly downhill. Property was lovely and the breakfast and dinner was very good.

After a rather difficult journey finding the entrance to the hotel we had an excellent stay. Due to roadworks we were unable to find the alternative entrance to the hotel. Arriving on foot we were guided to the road route by Alessandro who went above and beyond to rescue us. He was also very attentive during our whole stay. The steak tartare prepared at your table is a favorite item worth trying. The pasta dishes we had were also terrific. In our multi night stay, we ate dinner there 3 nights, 2 lunches, and every breakfast. Value for money is also very reasonable. If we return to the Trento region, we’ll stay here again.

The staff was excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. Could have benefited from an extra pillow a vanity pack and hair conditioner. Breakfast was plentiful, however the hot option was only eggs (but any sort you wanted). We were expecting some additional items such as bacon, sausages, Mushrooms or tomatoes. Loads of different pastries and cereals and fresh orange juice were provided.

Also consider, there is a swimming pool but you need to pay €5 per day to use it (along with other spa facilities, which were all excellent).
The above are purely practical considerations, not complaints - nowhere is perfect (especially in this price range), and I thought this hotel was superb.

Absokutely lovely. Our 4th time staying at the hotel. The views of the mountains are fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We always use the spa and the sauna, such a freat thing to have. The breakfast is one of the best with all the different options, including vegan croissants and other options, omelette station and fresh fruits and fresh ornage juice. Cant reccomwnd this hotel more. Preffered rooms are in the belveder part We always have at leaat one lunch or dinner as the food is divine, especially the tartar!!

Lovely setting amongst the giant pine trees, surrounded by forest. Old villa is glorious. The new part is great, with individual patios and very comfortable rooms. The restaurant is very good, staff are excellent, remember faces and welcome you back like part of the family! Highly recommended.

The building was built in 1400 and the rooms are large but antique decoration. Food and service are excellent. It does have a lift and no stairs to climb. Terrace dining with amazing views of the Alps. Beds are large and comfortable and the pillows are also. A little out of town (not walking distance). Great for a weekend.

The hotel and service was top notch. Waiters Michele and Tanvir went above and beyond to make our dining experience amazing. We fully enjoyed our stay. The only real disappointment was that we only found out upon arrival that kids are only allowed to access the pool from 12 noon to 3 pm (during lunch and nap time). One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it has an indoor pool. Other than this our stay was all that we could have hoped for.

We stayed in a belvedere room which is in a modern part of the hotel. The room was immaculate and spacious with a lovely bathroom. Our room had a balcony facing the mountains and Trento which was a spectacular view. Wifi was great throughout hotel. Reception staff and breakfast staff were very helpful. Breakfast buffet had a great selection. We used the spa facilities at €5 each which were lovely. We would definitely stay again.

This is generally an outstanding location. The restaurant is superb. Staff are helpful and friendly. I was even given free ticket for the buses and museum entrance. My only criticism is that certain things didn't work properly, e.g. the phone/fridge/telephone - maybe due to a fuse blowing. The computer in the lobby area doesn't appear to work either. Internet connection was sometimes unstable - although very fast when it was working.

What a fantastic hotel. We had a loft room which was small but very comfortable. The only regret was that the windows were tiny and had no view of the pretty gardens. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful and it was worth the winding climb in the car yo get there. The restaurant was faultless with the most sublime food and the spa had first class facilities and a good pool. All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and it was really good value. We loved every single minute and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Absolute imazing place
If hotels.com rating would allow 6 stars then this hotel would deserve it. The hotel is located on a hill with a beautiful view over Trento. When checking in the lady at the front desk took the time to show us 3 different rooms, so that we could pick the best choice for us. We got a \"loft\" which was a room directly under the roof of the main building. This room was simply outstanding, everything in top condition, immediately you feel that you would like to stay there forever. Bathroom absolutely clean and well equipped with everything. The hotel was built something like 500 years ago, but the condition is unbelievable like a top grade 1 restored classic car. The pictures in the internet cannot even capture the charm of that hotel. Absolutely top was also the brand new looking wellness area, which was available for 5€ / day. The building could only be topped by the staff. Absolutely friendly, and very obliging giving you the feeling as if you were the owner of the hotel himself. The breakfast buffet was also outstanding with everything you wish for a good start into the day. From thousands of hotels I stayed in my life, that hotel is definitely in the top five!

This is the second time we've stayed overnight at the Madruzzo. The building is spectacular and the rooms comfortable. We've enjoyed our meals there, with a good selection of Italian and Austrian-influenced food. The Madruzzo feels luxurious without being over the top. Both visits were in winter but it must be lovely in the summer.
The wine list has a good selection of local wines.
The new wellness centre is a bit inconvenient to access from the main building - a maze of tunnels and corridors and a bit unwelcoming in winter but is probably excellent in summer!
