This property was in the heart of the beautiful city of Trento. What a gem Trento is. We walked everywhere and toured the castle. The views from the top of the castle were fantastic. Everything was very close to the hotel.

Beautiful Trento has a fairly large and pedestrian friendly historic center, within minutes walk from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, very conveniently located near the transit station and most of the attractions of Trento historical center.
Underground parking is tight for larger vehicles, but that's expected in Italy.

Gorgeous hotel, amazing service. Small rooms.

The hotel is really beautiful and impeccable. Located across the train station, it’s right next to the center of town. The views are amazing, the service superb and the breakfast a royal bacchanalia. The only unfortunate factor that dampened my stay was that the room was relatively small and the bathroom very poorly designed. The toilet should have been further away from the door so that there would be no need for a door stop. It was very tight in there and uncomfortable. Lastly, the bar service was scant. I know that there were not a lot of people staying at the hotel, but the staff was not interested in engaging with the guests and the TV was shut down without any warning call despite the fact that I was watching sports to indicare the bar was closing despite no one being at the counter.

Great location, well run operation, hotel restaurant is a great option for cocktail or dinner after a long day exploring cinque terre. They do offer onsite parking however don't miss the entrance or you have to drive a loop back to the hotel. It does give you a chance to admire the view however! I wish they would valet park the car, it is horribly tight to get in and out.

Pros:
* Excellent location to access Train station & Centro Storico; About 20 mins on foot to MUSE
* Free breakfast had several locally made items as part of the large spread
* Bed wasn’t the kind with two small beds pushed together
* Air conditioner went down to 18C
* Bathroom has a large tub
* Lots of mirrors all over the room and bathroom and good light to help you get ready

Cons:
* Concierge staff did not share info on Trentino Card which is free for guests and gives you free access to local transportation including buses, local trains, and cable cars as well as free or discounted admission at most local museums. They did not even ask if I wanted a map or if I wanted suggestions despite asking if it was my first time staying there - so be sure to ask about this upon check in so you don’t miss out!
* The decor is supposed to be from the era of Grand Hotels, but the features for where to turn lights off and a/c on are very confusing (they’re on the nightstands and aren’t user-friendly)
* There were no outlets next to either side of the bed and only 2 in the bedroom besides one in the bathroom
* Closet space is not tall enough to hang dresses (only tops or folded trousers)
* Mattress is hard and pillows are thin and hard
* Shower doesn’t have a door or curtain so water can splash out while showering
* Water pressure in shower is not that strong

The hotel was in a perfect location just 5 minutes walk through the park from the train station. Only 10 minutes to main square with many restaurants

Room was clean, spacious and very peaceful. I liked the marble bathroom and large bath.

Good buffet breakfast and Covid safe with plastic gloves and sanitiser provided.

All staff were warm and welcoming

Gea option for Trento

The Grand Hotel is a great option for Trento. Central location with a parking garage in the basement (€11 a night). Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Covid precautions were adhered to at breakfast.

A beautiful classic hotel. Only issue was that twin beds were not.. but this was swiftly rectified & that sauna was shut on a Sunday.
Fantastic breakfast, can make your own waffles & a yoghurt station.
Cannot fault this hotel for old world charm & excellent service.

Our piece of Paradise in Trento.

We have stayed at GHT about 23-24 times and we continue to enjoy the ambiance. All the renovations completed have only enhanced the value of our stay. We always enjoy our time at The Bar and always enjoy oue breakfast every morning. And, The Staff -- our stay would not be the same without the fantastic service provided by The Staff.

It’s an old hotel and it shows and it is a little dated ,but it is still a nice hotel. The biggest issue is that the beds are dated too and there is only a woolen blanket for a duvet?

We had a good time at the Grand Hotel Trento. The hotel is perfectly located across the park from the train station and walking distance to all the sites.

We were unable to sleep since the AC is virtually nonexistent despite the room setting was at 19 and was 24 all night. The bed was not comfortable as well. We were on the sixth floor and utilized the patio/deck off that level which had fanfic views and under used.

The hotel is located across from the train station so it is very convenient for travelers by train. Trento is pretty small so the hotel is a short walk from most attractions and many restaurants. The interior of the hotel is very impressive. Rooms are fairly large. Breakfast was very good. My only negative is the fact that the air conditioning was set on 23c and could not be changed which made the room a little warm for us.

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was a very beautiful hotel. The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. The staff was so nice and very helpful if you needed anything. The location was perfect. You are within minutes of the train station and all the sights. We really enjoyed it there. I highly recommend it.

Very nice stay in Trento!

The Grand Hotel Trento is a very nice, comfortable hotel. It is ideally located for walking into the historic central area. Our room was spotlessly clean and the queen size bed was comfortable. Our bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and it offered a wide range of choices, such as cereals, eggs, meats, yoghurt, breads and croissants, cheeses, juices and more. We wish that there was better coffee offered at breakfast as it was from a push button machine. We would definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Nice hotel in great location

This is my fifth time staying in this wonderful hotel , it is conviently located and has an underground parking .The airconditioned rooms are clean, comfortable with classic furniture and a spacious bathroom. The staff are all very professional and breakfast is superb.

The hotel is very well situated, a small walk from the train station and also to the centre of Trento. The hotel staff were all very polite and helpful and all spoke perfect English. The buffet breakfast has a wide range of options. I had room service a couple of times and it arrived quickly and was delicious (although a little pricey). The room was nice and quiet with wonderful views of the mountains. Highly recommended.

A great end to another fabulous winter vacation

As in the past seven years, it is always a joy to return and stay at Grand Hotel Trento. The reason our stays are so pleasant is because of the STAFF. From the reception, the bar, the breakfast room , and our housekeepers.Always pleasant with smile on their faces. It just makes you want to return year after year.

A great beginning and end to our January ski trip!

In a great location about 5 minutes to Centro Storico, GHT has so much to offer any traveler. for us, it is the STAFF !! One of the friendliest Staff of personnel you are going to find at a business-oriented hotel. A fantastic breakfast awaits any traveler and the restaurant is par excellence. My favorite is the beautiful hallway, leaving the reception and going to one of the best bars you will find anywhere in Italy.

Good experience, a few opportunities to improve.

It was a good experience. Great property, super centric, clean and great breakfast. We just had a very unpleasant surprise at check out. Parking was extra and no one gave us a heads up on this. On a property like this parking should be complementary, specially if the hotel does not explicitly warn about it before.
Also, the room was clearly used by a smoker before us. It was pristine clear but it had that smell for the two days of our stay. We did not bother to change it because we got in very late but hotels should take care of this.

Easy 1 minute walk from the train station, staff very welcoming and professional. The interior of the hotel is fantastic, as are the rooms. Spacious with everything you need, with a great view of the mountains. Room service was great. A short walk gets you to the very charming old town.

Truly grand hotel close to the train station.

I was really impressed with the hotel. It had the feel of one of the old, high end hotels where everything is very well done and the focus is on pampering the customer. The lobby and bar areas, and even the hotel rooms, are done with a lot of wood paneling, luxiouruos rugs and draperies. It reminded me of a hotel you might see featured in a movie set in the 1920's or 30's. The rooms, however, were very up to date with bedside electronics that controlled all of the lights and the air conditioning for the room. There was also turn-down service every evening - something you don't see at very many hotels today. The hotel is located about a block from the train station and just about a block from the town center, so getting around was very easy.

Good hotel, but lack of iron let it down.

Large rooms, kept in good condition. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Lack of plug sockets in rooms and the entire hotel did NOT have a proper iron - just a single travel iron. This caused an issue when multiple people attending a wedding wanted to iron clothes.!

We haves stayed at the Grand Trento Hotel before when visiting family in the area. We were very comfortable during our 5-night stay. The location is excellent - within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. We were impressed with the property and found it to be very well-maintained. We will plan to stay again during our next visit to Trento!

Front desk cannot do enough for you. The hotel is in a fantastic location, the hotel is well kept and food good, the bar is pricey but it is expected in this standard hotel. However every time we ordered a drink the bar man gave us peanuts Crisp and cheese , canepe, or curd meats so the price of thee drink suddenly became quite cheap 😊👍🏼
