Lovely staff! The room was ok but a bit weird in the wardrobe - it was a huge fridge inside and you could not fully hang your clothes. But all in all very nice, loved the garden. The pool beds were though very old and broken.

We were really very pleased with our stay at Grande Kloof. From the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out, we were so pleased with the friendliness and eagreness to help and guide byvevery staff member we came across. The room was just perfect, everything worked well as we were mostly away during day time. The hotel location is really perfect as several attractions are only minutes away from the hotel. Nice restaurants only a short walk away. Major supermarkets, etc all within easy walking reach. Thank you Grande Kloof Botique hotel. Rajan and Hima

Do not be deceived by the photographs on all the websites... the photos look amazing - the reality, not so much...
We had booked the Sea-View Wing Suite Top Level Deluxe via Expedia... Room 306.
The location and views were great. The room was pretty much the same as the photo but could definitely do with a cosmetic upgrade. The bathroom was dreadful... old and dated! The description on Expedia stated the room offered cookware/dishes/utensils/oven/stovetop/toaster - totally inaccurate - so I basically paid for something that was never there!
Pleasant staff... was lovely talking to Sarah, Miriam, Ester and the two gentlemen who were at Reception overnight. The miserable rude lady who sat at the Reception Desk on the right could certainly improve on her customer service skills.
Breakfast was nice, had a good selection of vegetarian choices... however the fruit/baked items were not replenished once guests before us had taken.
Overall, definitely not worth the amount of money I paid. I've stayed in less expensive hotels with higher standards.

Super friendly staff. Very helpful. Breakfast was good. Great location-great view. Bed was very comfortable. An update on the decor and flooring would be nice. The floors are painted concrete-but rugs are on the floor. I believe it was good value for the price.

Hotel cancelled upon my arrival without notice. Issue was between Hotels.com/Expedia and the nightly fare difference, though as the customer I was left with a cancelled reservation even after fully paying for it. Rather stressful experience to find alternative accommodation at the very last minute.

Quiet, Comfortable Stay

It was a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable stay. However, if you are looking for a place with atmosphere and to socialize with other travelers, it left much to be desired. Megan, the bartender, was very welcoming, hospitable and accommodating. She ensured that I had a great night that would have otherwise been a rather dull last evening in Cape Town. Keep her around!

Beautiful Hotel and Spectacular Views

We had the pleasure of enjoying 4 nights at this beautiful property. The room was incredibly spacious and had two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows that provided exceptional views and light. It was terrific to have the attention of the hotel owner who ensured we were taken care of from check in to check out. Additionally, every staff member was top notch; professional, helpful and friendly. And we mustn't forget to mention the breakfast... a delicious way to start our days exploring beautiful Cape Town. Highly recommended.

Anthony and his staff were welcoming, kind and super helpful about directions and the local area. A couple of huge plus points about the hotel are the breakfast, the access to MyCiti BUs public transport - super convenient for airport transfer to and from, restaurants and stores nearby, the fresh ocean breezes and pleasant neighborhood. I would definitely recommend and revisit myself. 8^)

Nice hotel, noisy room and manager rude to staff

Overall, I had a good experience of the hotel. It is well located, friendly reception staff, easy to access and off road parking (although the parking lot was full 2 of the 4 nights, but easy on road parking. The breakfast was lovely, and the night guard and restaurant staff were all really friendly and competent.
I have two gripes:
My room was right by the front door and adjacent to the reception. It was REALLY noisy, even with the windows shut. The noise from the reception started at 7am on the dot each day, with it ending after midnight all 4 nights. Some soft furnishings and better steps to soundproof the room are really necessary.
Secondly, on the final morning there was a manager in the restaurant who had not been there on other days. He was really rude to the staff. He called them lazy, told them to wake up and use their eyes, rushed around them saying \"hurry up hurry up hurry up!\" \"the guests are complaining\" (we weren't) \"stop being lazy\", he then told one set of guests \"I don't know whats happening here today, they obviously drank too much last night\" He shouted at the staff, told them to stop talking back to him when they tried to explain, humiliated them in front of the restaurant. Honestly, it was much better before he arrived. His behaviour was rude and demeaning and made the situation quite unpleasant. Several other staff members witnessed it, but noone did anything to stop him from causing a scene.

I booked a hotel room. This is a backpackers. Drywall division between rooms. Shared toilet facilities. Not impressed.

Showers smelled extremely bad.

Pleasant part of Cape Town

Situated in the higher part of Seapoint, close to Bantry Bay, it is an area I know well and can find my way easily to other parts of wider Cape Town from there. I was pleasantly surprised as I had not stayed there before. However, as I mentioned to the manager when I was leaving, I was unhappy at not being able to contribute to water saving during the drought by catching shower water for recycling as Capetonians I know are doing - and as I was asked to do in Stellenbosch. The only sacrifice I was asked to make in this respect was to use my shower towel at the swimming pool. Breakfast good, roomy bedroom with efficient aircon.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast

Hotel is situated not far from beach and well linked to public transport. Staff were extremely friendly and even informed me about hot breakfast when they realised I wasn't having any as I didn't know there was the option to order a complimentary hot breakfast too. Breakfast itself was excellent and served til 11am which is good for late risers.

I was in a budget room so I can't complain about its size but I would say it's very good value for money. Shared bathroom (for the budget room) were clean and tidy at all times so kudos on that.

Decent but be careful about untrustworthy billing!

Good location, decent rooms and nice building. Friendly staff but the gripe was with the really poor mismanagement. Overcharged by an extra 50% upon arrival, had to wait for refund for that. Then had another huge discrepancy upon payment for the rooms bill for the week, charged for 2 loads of laundry which should have been 1 (4/5 T-shirts) and then charged for the wrong wine (red instead of white) that was not even on the menu and R220 per BOTTLE. Upon the stay I had to received 2 refunds for overcharging and was then asked if I would like to give a \"Christmas Tip\" for the workers upon leaving.

A short drive to all the main attractions

An easy drive to some lovely beaches as well at the centre of town and table top mountain. The rooms are quite basic and call me old fashioned but I do like a door on my bathroom! The pool and garden were quite pleasant although next to a busy road. The breakfast was ok. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely warm welcome from Staff. Convenient to Promenade at Sea point.Room very comfortable and bright, with a nice view of sea from Balcony. Bathroom was huge.

We have an annual city appointment. We like to take some time and stay in the vicinity of the city, enabling us to enjoy our own tourists attractions and meet interesting people who are along for the ride. This hotel served well for this function. It was comfortable and friendly. We were not there much, but enjoyed the hearty breakfasts.

Cossy hotel close to the beach, shops & restaurant

I was received at the airport and transferred to the hotel by the hotel shuttle. I had a hassle free check-in. My expectations as per the internet information were met; nothing less. The staff were very helpful and friendly. they helped us with all the information we required about Cape Town. Breakfast was served in a clean dining area. The environment around the hotel is serene. Its really value from money. The rooms on the upper floor have a nice view of the beach. I recommend it for family, holiday or business. The building is a modern design using modern fittings. I can't wait to go back for my next holiday!!!

the accomodation and distance to town centre

The room was crammed and not comfortable at all in fact claustrophobic. The refreshments were not replaced that had been used. The open plan toilet shower did not lend itself to any sort of privacy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We felt that the rates were too high for what we received after finding out that the going rate in the area was R950.00. The location was not as close as we anticipated to the town center. In conclusion we will not be using this facility again.

Very friendly, lovely, safe hotel.

All the staff at the grand kloof were very friendly and very helpful. When I asked for anything I was immediately helped. The hotel was small but was in good condition and it had amazing views. Our room was quite small which was the only negative but we got over that quite quickly as everything else was a high standard. The area felt very safe and was patrolled by a security guard.
I loved my stay there and would definitely visit again.

Very nice and modern hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff (especially the guy in the reception), giving that personal touch to the stay. The bottom floor rooms have an open bathroom which was not expected, very stylish but not so practical and if one stays with company they are going to hear everything and maybe even see it if they stay in the room when you use the toilet or shower. No aircon but a fan. Some disturbance from the road outside the hotel. Nice \"spa\"area with jacuzzi, steamroom and sauna, nice garden and pool. Safe and beautiful area but a bit off if you want to spend alot of time in central Cape Town.

Smart, modern, relaxed, freindly, excellent.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and highly professional staff. They appear to do the very best with ease and no fuss.
We enjoyed our garden room.
The toilets in the rooms have no door.... but then you will work something out. We did and extended our stay from 2 to 5 nights.
Kloof road has some traffic during the day but no noise after 7pm.
Great location with short walk into Sea Point with plenty of useful shops and services. Very easy drive into the City and excellent bus services from Sea Point (Check with the driver as there is a stop at Wtaerfront that appears to be the final destination when in fact it will, once it has turned round, continue on to the city centre).
Good restaurants in walking distance and plenty more within a short taxi ride.
There are loads of sights and things to do in the City and loads and loads of wonderful scenery on the Cape Peninsular. With its easy access and parking, this hotel could well be the base from which to see it all.
Try Mama Africa on Long Street for a great night out. Eat at the bar to get the full effect.

Romantic weekend away

We just stayed at the hotel for one evening...

The staff was really friendly...

The room was really comfortable and clean.. didn't really like the open bathroom idea to much.

The view was spectacular...

We used the jacuzzi facilities...water was a bit cold for a jacuzzi and the sauna was not very user friendly.

The breakfast was great!

Over all a good experience.

Gem in Cape Town

This Little boutique hotel was a gem in Cape Town, perfectly placed between Camps Bay and the Waterfront as well as being near to Clifton Beaches. Rooms were very clean and beatifully decorated and the staff were all excellent and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

It is a great option if you go for vacations and need a place to go to sleep and take a shower.
Room is large and confortable, but with many steps. I had some issues with the water in the shower but all of them were solved.
Next time in Cape Town I am going to book here again.

El hotel no quería darme la habitación que había reservado y querían darme una peor tras haber volado más de 18h. Se aferraban que me querían hacer pagar más ya que ha habido un problema en el booking. Parte del staff era competente y otros no lo eran para nada.
