The room size was great it really felt like home , the decor and bathroom size was amazing , the staff were fantastic and so helpful when looking for local dining opportunities . We loved our morning breakfast an sunset drink on the rooftop pool area , Lucia was fantastic :)

Nothing wrong with the hotel for a family stay for a couple of nights.

My only issue was with the pool, the wood around it was old and it was easy to get splinters / there was lots of metal bits screwed into it that you could catch your foot on.

Highlight is the view feom the bar and pool deck. Staff were helpful. Felicia at breakfast is a very sweet lady. Apartment had a bad smell so they gave us a spray for the drains. We needed a plug cinverter and thay wasnpeovided promptly with no issues. Bathroom was poorly finished. There are not many plug sockets but the bedside lamps had alots foe charging cables. Ok stay for 2 days.

This hotels location is amazing it’s one block to the promenade. The breakfast needs some help, staff never refilled any of the juices etc. and to be honest the staff were the most unfriendly I’ve encountered.
The kids club is a nice touch if you have children. The upper desk has a beautiful view.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this Hotel.

On the bright side - location was good, the room big and staff friendly.

But the room especially the floor were not clean (even after I asked to clean the floor so our daughter can crawl there). There is no AC in the bedroom only living room. It was extremly loud. I don't know where the noise was coming from.
All in all we did not enjoy our stay and definitely not for the price we paid.

The location and the hotel do not complement each other. The room rate we paid and what we experienced was 4/10 in terms of the hospitality due to following;

1. The room cleaning was terrible. We had to buy a disinfectant (Domestos) to kill the smell in the bathroom of which the front office team was notified.

2. The noisy music from the breakfast bay in the morning was disturbing.

3. The breakfast was basic and there is an additional cost for Cappuccino and other hot beverages.

Safety concerns and noisy

I recently stayed here for 3 nights and had an extremely disappointing experience. My room was directly below the rooftop bar and kitchen, and the noise was unbearable throughout the night. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep with the constant clattering and banging from above. At check in I asked if the room was quiet as I have 2 small children and was told it was. There was constant clanging of plates and cutlery in the kitchen which spilled over into the stairwell. At 22:00 when my kids had been kept up for 2.5 hours I called reception and was told it was a once off in preparation for an event the following day.
Unfortunately this was a fabrication and the noise was repeated for the remaining two nights.

Upon discussing this with he general manager, he was rude, dismissive and defensive at times, knowing full well that they were undermining their customers comfort for the convenience of their staff. Their lack of honesty and transparency was very frustrating, and from my experience it seems to stem from the top, which then cultivates this attitude down the ranks.

Additionally, I was shocked to find that the emergency escape stairwells were blocked with a \"no entry\" chain, a green bin, and cushions that also hid the safety signage. This is a serious safety hazard and completely unacceptable. They also wedge fire doors (designed to shut automatically) open, which is an additional and quite concerning

The Hyde offers a great view of the coast at their roof top dining bar and pool side, the staff make you feel like family and you can not beat the location local services and safe community. as is in any stay sometimes there are challenges I found management quick to respond and they went above beyond to give us an amazing stay. The morning buffet is great with the mainstay of most breakfast wants and order up eggs in almost any style. Lunch on the rooftop gives a great break and dinners and a magical sunset as you watch the paragliders go by.

The staff were the stars of this hotel, they were so friendly and helpful, nothing we asked was an effort. Service with a smile made us feel so welcome! Breakfast was amazing, best of the 6 hotels we stayed at on this trip which included Ritz-Carlton! Well done guys!

I can't rave about this property enough. We spent the last night of our Cape Town holiday here and it was exactly what we needed to relax after very touristy days. We were greeted by Ashley and receptionist Susan, customer service was beyond expectation. The room was phenomenal and kids play area was exactly what we needed. Susan arranged Portia to babysit *Families she is amazing and my husband and I got to go for child free dinner and my kids loved her. We even managed a late check out as we had 9pm flight but got use of the pool for the remainder of the day and bothered Ashley constantly while we went back and forth to the luggage room. Will recommend to anyone and will definitely be our hotel of choice for all future CT trips. Great Staff, everyone was so friendly and rooms and facilities were amazing. 15 out of 10

Everything was amazing. First time in Cape Town. They explained everything, breakfast was good. I woke late & they made us breakfast still so that was good. They also have a backup generator which is a great factor because most hotels though. They are so hooked us up on excursions and got transportation to pick us up which was well organised. Ladies are definitely fantastic, they deafly broke things down and help me understand. I will recommend this to all travellers that like comfortable accommodations at affordable price.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Hyde All-Suite Hotel in Cape Town, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel is located in a great area, close to many shops and restaurants, making it very convenient for exploring the city.

The rooms at The Hyde are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my visit.

The hotel also has a fantastic rooftop pool and lounge area, perfect for enjoying a drink and soaking up the stunning views of Table Mountain and the surrounding cityscape.

I highly recommend The Hyde All-Suite Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Cape Town. I will be returning on my next trip to this beautiful city!

Avoid at all cost. Run down and not safe.

There was a security concern that was basically ignored by the staff. Someone tried to open our door in the middle of the night while we were in the room. We wanted to get a refund and they wouldn’t issue one. There’s only 1 person working in the hotel at night. This isn’t a safe place. Specially in a dangerous city like Cape Town. The place is run down, there’s mold and rust everywhere. The pool is dirty and looks nothing like the pictures. Poor service and hospitality. Definitely not a 4-star by any means. More like a 2.5.

It is advertised as a \"Luxury Spa\". It is not. The \"fitness center\" is small, old, and in disrepair.\" The pool is very small with limited seating. The breakfast buffet is very limited. The bed mattress was so hard that it did not even dent when I sat on it. Hard as the floor.

I loved the kitchen and bath amenities (plenty of shower gel and body lotion). The staff was very nice and welcoming. Housekeeping was inconsistent, but acceptable (that's why I rated the service as average). The location was great: near the beach, restaurants and shopping. A large grocery store was within walking distance (small shops even closer) so we were able to stock our kitchen for the meals we ate in the room. On the roof you will find a beautiful pool with a large deck and a restaurant. Very nice for hanging out in the evening. They have music some nights and, although we did not go up to the bar at night, we could hear the music in our living room while we enjoyed a glass of wine and that was kind of fun!

The suite was absolutely perfect, size and ammenities are extremely generous. The staff from front desk to resteraunt are caring, responsive and eager to meet all needs graciously. The location is a 2 minute walk from the beach and 2-5 from shops. Transportation was more than adequate amd all went above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience. I am well travelled internationally and this has been my best accomodation experiemce this far.

I was disappointed that the pool area with the gorgeous view depicted in the advertisement, was under renovation. No prior knowledge, and that was part of the draw to the property. I realize it would've been too cool to swim, but anticipated drinking a bottle of wine and enjoying the view.

I made the mistake of booking for my friends at this crappy place!!! From the check-in experience, to the shady looking building and rooms not cleaned until we had to call after 12:00 to find out when house keeping would be coming! I wouldn’t go back even if they paid me.

I should have booked the hotel across the road! Pictures on the internet are deceiving as well. Nothing 4* about this place.

What a surprise it was.A big kitchen we didnt use as we went out for dinner.Modern.Clean.However.2 lady staff members at reception thought they had to have a conversation even being 3 metres apart at such a decibell that I didnt even want to read the newspaper in the common lounge further.Is the hotel about staff or clients as I dont see staff paying to stay.Breakfast-no scramble egg?Serious.Will stay across the road from you rather.

Good spot in Sea Point within a short walk to the beach. Rooms are advertised as providing bathrobes (so we didn't bring any) but they actually don't provide these which was very annoying.
We had room service twice - the first time was pretty awful (tough microwaved lamb shanks and ribs) but we tried a second night and it was much better. Friendly staff and a very reasonable buffet style breakfast.
Could improve by attending to little things - like providing guests with face cloths, making sure milk is replenished daily etc.

I have been traveling to South Africa for over 20 years,I have usually stayed in local flats so this was my first hotel experience. The Hyde is a small venue providing all amenities needed for a \"home away from home' even including an iron/ironing board. From the welcome with baggage assistance, sherry and cucumber water, the reception was outstanding.: Excellent location on London Road in a safe and secure neighborhood convenient to restaurants, shopping, laundry and transportation to town or the Waterfront. The backdoor exit provided an awesome view of Lion's Head mountain while out of the front window I had vies of the sea.. The daily complimentary breakfast offered.many options. I hosted a small luncheon in the dining room which was lovely. I cannot offer one complaint based on my experience. I highly recommend this hotel and especially the deluxe Suite accommodation.

The Hyde is a great hotel for a few days in Cape Town. Sea Point is a great area, with a good mix of stores and restaurants and is handy for the centre of the city and the bars of Camps Bay or the Waterfront. We were in a deluxe suite which has a good size living area and allowed us space relax after our time out and about. The rooftop pool is quite cool and the staff were lovely.

Aside from the ridiculous event that was hosted up at the pool deck to people not staying at the hotel (obviously to boost revenue, but targeting the wrong crowd), our one night stay was amazing. The management, the waitress (Octavia) and front desk (Susan) were all incredible, friendly and just simply awesome.

Plain exterior hides a well equipped apart hotel equipped to a high standard. Roof pool has views of signal hill and lions head whilst only 2 minutes walk from the sea. Plenty of secure underground parking. Enclosed outside dining and drinking area away from the traffic.
Worth a try !

Reasonably nice hotel in a good location - a short walk from the beach and a longer walk to Camps Bay with truly great beaches and restaurants. Our main issues were with the room - there was an unbearable smell from the bathroom drains which reception said they would get sorted out but didn't. We also had a problem with the fridge which was so loud we had to unplug it at night. Again reception said that they would get this seen to, but didn't.

Safe parking in basement. Rooms are very clean and in great condition. Fast wifi. Breakfast was excellent; the chef even made a personal visit to check if we were happy with his large omelettes. Friendly staff at Reception. The only issue we had was that our shower head was leaking, but this was quickly fixed and we were given additional towels.

The Hyde Hotel's location is good, close to the sea front and easy to get to surrounding areas such as The Waterfront & Table Mountain. The facilitates were of a reasonable standard, though the gym could be updated.

The suite was very comfortable and clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.

Paragliding directly over the hotel's rooftop pool from Lion's head and landing on the front just a few minutes walk from the hotel, was definitely a highlight

I would definitely recommend the Hyde Hotel.

Excellent location, 5 mins walk to the sea.

This apartment hotel is great. Not too large, personal and helpful service and well equipped studio rooms. The bonus is the roof pool with a lovely view - perfect way to start or end your day.

Buffet breakfast has a good variety and you can order eggs separately if you want.
There is good parking parking and you are also only a short walk to the bus stop. There are a range of shops and restaurants nearby.

Very Nice Hotel

All is very clean and nicely furnitured. Ideal for Jogging along the sea. The red Tourist bus station is very close. Helpful and very friendly staff. Beautiful sight from the pool on the roof.

Nice hotel at decent prices with good location

Great location and friendly staff. However though the rooms were clean, need to ask for amenities when tissues and shower gels were used up.
It would also be better if they have a person who is more familiar or have more contacts with sightseeing tours other than the tour brochures they had on their reception table.
The friendly staff always greets the guests

Beautiful Cape Town

Nice suite near the waterfront and a 30-45 minutes walk to the aquarium.
Staff was very helpful with reserving our ride to the airport.The breakfast is plentiful and good. Would have stayed longer! :)

Four star gem

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was spacious and the staff welcoming and friendly. Safe undercover parking and a lovely buffet breakfast. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Awesome place for a getaway.

We are very happy with our stay. As I said in previous review request.

1) Warm breakfast dried out and tasteless - think the way you keep it warm is to hot therefor it becomes dried out
2) replenish mini bar regularly
3) 2 rolls of toilet paper was not enough for a family of 4 for 2 night stay

It was great- lovely big suite!

Very close to the Promenade in Seapoint - about 1 minute away. All the staff were so helpful, the food was great when I ate there. It wasn't in the City Centre but that's what I wanted.But only a 10m Taxi ride away. There's plenty of shops nearby and its so close to the very impressive Promenade. Facilities were great. Would defo. stay there again.
