Nice hotel in a spectacular location

We had the room at the top of the hotel which was up a flight of stairs after the lift got to the top. It was stunning. A small totally private rooftop patio gave us 270 degree views over the awesome scenery and the old town. A small window the other side looked down through the valley to the new town. Breathtaking! Excellent conversion of a heritage (I assume) building. Our only problem was we didn't stay long enough.

Not bad for just a couple of nights. The hotel is centrally located, which is a plus. However, if you're looking for comfort this is not the place. Bed/pillows are super hard. Internet didn't work well. And ac didn't cool down the room well. But overall a good place for the price.

perfect location--minutes from Plaza Mayor by walking. Hotel is old and so were the furniture and facilities but the room is relatively large. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We need to leave at 7:30 am while the breakfast starts at 8:00. The staff prepared two sandwiches with bottled orange juice and water in a bag for us to take--very nice indeed.

Hotel is well situated for a visit to the old town.
I would ensure you book a room at the rear of the building, we didn't and regret it. No views and very noisy especially Saturday night.
Parking is off site about a 3 minute walk very tight for a big car but typical of being in the old town.
Nice bar/restaurant.

Precioso lugar a pocos metros de la Plaza Mayor. Rodeado de muchos restaurantes y lugares espectaculares. La habitación preciosa y muy limpia. El personal excelente! Nuestra ducha no funcionaba muy bien porque tenía mucha cal y tan pronto avisamos la cambiaron. La historia del hotel es interesantísima y mantiene todo su encanto con todas las comodidades de hoy en día!!! Cuando regrese a Cuenca, espero poder quedarnos ahí nuevamente. No frills room. Clean, bed fairly comfortable but very hard; staff not very friendly and gave incorrect information, telling us there was no free parking, when we did find free parking at the very top of the road. Staff told us to go to parking garage, which was 66 euros per 24 hour period!

Nice room shame about the parking.

Comfortable bed and a good choice at breakfast. The local parking charges are a bit heavy - about €20 for a day. If you want to save money, parking at the bottom of the hill and taking a bus up could be an option. Only down point was the male receptionist isn’t that welcoming. The WiFi doesn’t work.

Nice hotel, but you have to pop for an upgraded room if you want a view. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, very clean. Bathroom light was on the dim side. Great location from which to explore old Cuenca. Bus stop at plaza mayor is very close to get to/from high speed rail station.

When we were there, it was very cold, but the room was warm. Parking was not easy around the hotel, but there were two free parking lot down the hill. The second day morning wifi was down and it didn't fixed until we checked out the next day. (The entire hotel internet was down including reception.) So we have to go to the BurgerKing to connect the internet. BurgerKing's wifi was faster than the McDonal's.

Great town and fun fiesta, Hotel good but what spoiled it was the simple fact that we were unable to get in, sometimes we were ringing and banging for ages (even tried telephoning only to get message that they were busy) once we left the hotel and let a lot of guests who were outside in! Would it not be easier to either give the guests a key or get a doorman? Disappointed but apart from that it was ok

Hotel is nice with great location. Rooms well appointed for 4 stars. Staff is nice but unfortunately inefficient. Rooms have basically no views except very few of them otherwise it is just a wall not far from windows. The A/C was not working for the entire building because of the season. This was in mid May. We had to open the windows but then it was loud because of centric location and narrow streets. We asked for a fan and short story we did not get one with a lot of finger pointing. It is a nice hotel, good value. I hope you have a better experience.

Great location in the old town.

Be prepared for a bit of climbing in the upper old town. The hotel in on a busy narrow road that's in a perfect location to visit all the sites. You'll need a few days to experience the old towns attractions including the hiking around the surrounding area. If you bring your car, parking is very limited. There are a few indoor parking structures offering 24hr. parking. Certain outdoor parking areas that look like public parking, are in fact, permit parking. Not noticing the one small sign restricting public parking, I received a 200 euro ticket.

There's not much good to say other than that the location is in the heart of the historic district. The room looked shabby, the bed was rock solid, the bathroom floor was worn and stained. Parking is available in a garage up the hill at an additional cost of 15 euros a day. Breakfast was mediocre. Choose another hotel.

very homely place

Located in the old town district, in the night time you would see this old district was shrouded in warm atmosphere by lamp, time was frozen in 17th century. Breathing in cold air, a myriad of stars shone in the clear dark sky above. Stepped into the old fashioned house, surprisingly found elevator to your floor and a traditional canopy bed in middle of the spacious room. The bath room was quite big. And 6.48 Euro included tax buffet breakfast for a room would be a perfect starting for a new day!

Un poco decepcionante

Creo que no es un hotel de 4 estrellas, como mucho 3 estrellas.
El hotel en general no está bien cuidado, las paredes necesitan una mano urgente de pintura, se nota que no se renovado en muchos años.
El aislamiento acústico es nulo, parece que las personas de la habitación de al lado están en tu baño.
En nuestro caso, la cisterna del baño estaba rota y tuvimos que cambiar de habitación a mitad de la noche. Sí es cierto que nos dieron esta opción sin problema, pero tuvimos que dormir en una habitación de menor categoría y, por tanto, de menor precio. Nadie nos ofreció ningún reembolso por las molestias y por pasarnos a una habitación peor.

Hotel muy bien situado, en el centro de Cuenca, las zonas comunes están muy bien, la habitación estaba limpia y las camas de las mas cómodas que he dormido en un hotel, la única pega fue la falta de mantenimiento de nuestra habitación, imagino que no será lo normal en el hotel. Las persianas de la ventana solo bajaba hasta la mitad y entraba sol desde el amanecer había algun otro detalle que denota el paso del tiempo por estar roto o desgastado. Pero en general ha sido buena experiencia, lo mejor fue las vistas de la habitación, impresionantes.
