Entrance closed and under lots of construction. I arrived at 10pm after being on the road for 12 hours. No signage, call, or email regarding the construction. After reluctantly calling the hotel for direction I was told the side doors were kept unlocked for anyone to enter . Paid $204 for a night there was a hole in the shower wall due to placement of the spout being moved but was not covered. The beds were too soft made it uncomfortable for my back.

This location is currently being renovated, which is a good thing. The rooms have already been updated to the modern Courtyard style and the common areas and building exterior were works in progress when I was last there. The staff is helpful and accommodating. I appreciate that this location is being renovated as it was showing its age. I’m hopeful that the property will be more comfortable and modern.

They didn’t clean my room the first night, they advertised pool and hot tub, but the hot tub was broken, no notice, and what they called a restaurant was a Starbucks with limited hours and food. Quick overnight stop on a long drive home. We arrived very late and received warm and friendly service from security and the gentleman working. He gave us a late check out, offered to fill water bottles, and told us to just leave the luggage cart outside the room when we were done with it. It was recently remodeled and is lovely. When I travel to Stockton to visit family, I always stay here. It’s in a decent part of town and close to where I need to be. The location is generally well kept and a good stay. This trip, there were some issues. Loud, rude guests well into the night and early morning, which isn’t the fault of the hotel. However, cleanliness issues in the bathroom were unusual as I have always found this place to be pretty clean. Grime and several hairs around the mounted soap dispenser, some weird pink spray residue all over one of the walls. Dozens of fruit flies…it was weird and off putting. And while the rest of the room looked fine, the stare of the bathroom made suspect. I will stay here again and just hope house keeping was having a bad day. But management could be a bit more diligent about checking.

The room was spotless and warm upon entry. The site is being renovated in order to keep up with the times, but did not hamper our experience.

Property is under renovation during our stay. We had a room that was finished. It needs more bathroom lighting and counter space. There is no place to even put a toothbrush. It's as if the they thought the lights from 1970 were still ok..so we wont change them. it is absolutely not ok. We had to put our bath gear on the floor and in the closet. My sisters were @ this location for a special event in this area. Room was clean and well-appointed. That nite, there was a black bug that kept crawling up one of our bedspreads. We would try to catch it and it would fall. Black with wings that it raised at one point. Not a bed bug; not a termite. An unexpected guest for sure.

Cleaning staff were adequate, a couple fo 'odd' things, they changed the towels but did not make the bed, replace the coffee packets, minor details. This is my second stay, about ten years after the first. The staff are good, I had no issues. But the facility is in bad need of a makeover. I found one accessible outlet in the room, it was at the bathroom sink. The other was under the desk and behind the tv stand..not accessible and not okay these days. Home when I'm in Stockton
This is my go-to hotel when I visit family in Stockton. It's in a quieter part of town and feels safe. I prefer rooms on the third floor as they usually have balconies. This time I was on the second floor, which was fine. My only real complaint is that shower pressure is hit and miss and the lighting in the bathroom is just so so. Otherwise, always happy with my Marriot stays. Very nice front desk staff, as well.
