We had the best time and the staff were so lovely! The only thing I would say is the fact you can’t lock your hotel door from the inside, it isn't ideal when you have a 2 year old that can open it. Also our air conditioning was making a noise.

Must be booked in advance. If not the beach is next to the hotel. Food was great and breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely visit again. Hotel manager was also very welcoming. It was such an incredible stay with staff that treat you like family. The team made my sisters hen do so special, and made such an effort with everyone. The place is also gorgeous, with an amazing beach club, pool, spa and breakfast all included!

I’ve traveled all over Europe and this is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Although the concierge at check in was great, the only other hotel staff encounter we had was at breakfast and dinner. Both times at dinner, our party of 6 was treated disrespectfully by wait staff. The first night, one of our couples was informed rudely they had to pay for dinner since it wasn’t included. The waiter slammed the receipt on the counter and walked away mumbling in Spanish. Mind you, the other two parties had dinner and breakfast included and at check in we were informed we all had breakfast and dinner. We didn’t argue just were confused and trying to find out what the problem was but the waiter just kept speaking Spanish and left. The next night, we arrived at dinner early not realizing they hadn’t started serving yet. A different waiter from the night before became irate with us. We apologized and sat down outside at one of the tables to wait till they opened. A friend had a bottle of water and since we were sitting there waiting she started to drink some of it. He came over and quite angrily told her she couldn’t drink it at the restaurant. She put it under the table. He still kept muttering in Spanish. Mind you, I speak Spanish and could understand his ranting against us being rude Americans. It got to the point that his rudeness and constant bashing turned us off from eating there and we just left. Although the hotel was in a great location, I would not recommend.

The hotel is on the beach, so the location can't be beaten. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were great - much better than expected. But the room felt outdated and in disrepair. Nothing was broken per se, but the showerhead was placed awkwardly in the middle of the bathtub, which was strange to use and resulted in water damage. The beds were two full/twin beds that kept sliding apart from each other. This was uncomfortable. The wifi was a little slow.

I didn’t like that after we paid for the beach towels for the week, they were never changed out. I REALLY didn’t like that after we put the “please make up our room” sign in the door, it was ignored and our room wasn’t made up until the next day, and they didn’t change the sheets either!! I figured when you ask the room to be made up, it included the sheets.

We spent 2 nights in the hotel. There are 2 buildings and no elevators (at least in the Building opposite of the hotel). Our room was a bit small, but sufficient. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner good. The staff was very friendly and courteous throughout. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Very good value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and appreciated the high standard of all the facilities. The friendly relaxed but efficient service we received was first class and the quality and presentation of the food was excellent in every way. My wife and I agree that in terms of value for money your Hotel is one of the best in which we have stayed. We will not know how one of our room bookings was not on the hotel booking list but the matter was resolved promptly and entirely to our satisfaction. Only suggestion is that some form of seating be provided for guests to use outside the hotel as ONLY available seating was on the bar terrace or on hireable sun beds of which there were not enough for all the guests that wanted them. Perhaps some portable folding chairs that could be taken on the beach for a deposit. Other than this, from our point of view, the hotel, staff and service was faultless.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our 10 day European honeymoon. I did a lot of research and felt confident in our decision for a hotel on the beach of Mallorca. Unfortunately, Universal Hotel Aquamarin did not follow through on many accounts. The beds, pillows, and bedding were horribly uncomfortable. The hotel and the area of Sant Elm are definitely geared toward families and kids. This was not very evident through other reviews and information provided by the hotel ahead of time. Do not stay here if you are on a trip as a couple and don't want crying babies in the room on the other side of the wall or all day at the beach. The breathtaking sea view from our room almost outweighed the crying baby next door...it is worth it to upgrade to a sea view! The service was top notch and everything we asked for was accommodated. I was fully aware we would have to pay for our beach chairs and towels each day, which we were ok with. We were happy to have sun chairs on the platform next to the beach and not on the busy public beach itself. The food was mediocre, we did pay for the half-board option but only had 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner over our 4 day stay. We opted to try the local restaurants in Sant Elm, which we were very happy with! Overall this is a low end 3-star hotel, they definitely need to upgrade the beds, pillows, and bedding. Our days on the beach were worth it and we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Best Hotel in Sant Elm
Lovely beachside hotel in small family focused Cove resort of Sant Elm. About 40 mins drive from the airport, area is in lovely setting, sea is crystal clear and warm. Beach is small, bit untidy and the 40-50 sunbeds get taken up very quickly (€12.50 a day). The hotel does have a sun terrace by the sea with sunbeds you can hire for €4 a day each, but there are only 30 of these so again they go really quickly. Hotel itself is nice, good position, good restaurant area, terrace for eating looking out to sea which is lovely, in and outdoor bar areas. Communal areas all clean and tidy. Food is good overall, the buffet breakfast and evening meal were better than some we've experienced elsewhere, and above average for a 3* hotel. Be advised that windows for breakfast and dinner are small in comparison to other places, breakfast ends at 10, which is understandable but disappointing for holiday destination, 10.30~11 being more preferable, but will be fine for most people. Dinner is between 7pm~9pm, again fine for most but personally I'd of preferred an extra hour of overall dinner availability for flexibility. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Hotel was very popular, as is the resort in general. Holiday makers from many different places, extremely popular with Germans. My only gripe is we hadn't realised the hotel accommodation is split between the main hotel building and an older apartment block across the road which we were put in. We had sea view but room bit tired and old.

When I arrived there was a problem with my room so for the first night I had to stay at the near by Don Camino apartments but the staff couldn't do enough and were extremely apologetic. I was moved the next day and was very impressed with the cleanliness of my room, which overlooked the mountains. The dining terrace was lovely right by the sea and the price of the drinks were very reasonable. This is a great location, with some lovely little shops and restaurants in the town, the only down side is that the beach gets very crowded, with very little space between sunbeds but if you had a car this wouldn't be a problem.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and safe area. There are small shops and restaurants and few bars next to the hotel. It was great to walk around and discover the small town and also enjoy the beach and rent paddle board, kayak and canoe. Few minutes walk there is a ferry that takes you to Dragonera island.

Our first visit on May23 was excellent: nice sea view room on the fifth floor but our second visit was given a room on the third floor that was not as nice. We were asked to pay 5 euro for one day use of Wifi but we were told by Universal Castell Royal that it should be included when we booked thru Expedia. Finally, the director overruled it so we did not pay.

Whilst the rooms and corridors are dated, they do the job without fuss but don't expect home comforts or luxury. Breakfast spread was excellent and the views are just sensational. We have relatives in the area and find the Aquamarin very good value when we visit. We stay in the villas as they have a small kitchenette. The staff are very helpful, the buffet breakfast is good and the lunch time bar menu is good value. Haven't tried the dinner as we usually dine with our relatives.

Was not expecting such a pleasant surprise, but is definitely somewhere we would stay again. If you are looking for a hotel that is set in the prettiest of bays, in a fairly a quiet area, but right on the beach - this is it! All staff were lovely especially Germa'n the Head waiter & team - food was fresh & varied. It may be an issue to some that there was mostly German, Spanish & French guests (but not for us, as a lovely European feel). A sea view for us is always vital, and could not get better than this. Yes you have to pay for sun loungers, & safe/fridge - but air con was included & room cleaned daily. Value for money was top class!!

Rénovation très réussie de l'hôtel que j'avais connu il y a une dizaine d'années. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien équipées et joliment décorées. La vue mer est sublime, l'emplacement de l'hôtel est exceptionnel. Le buffet petit déjeuner propose un très large choix sucré et salé alors l'offre demi-pension le soir est variée avec des plats excellents (on aurait aimé choisir midi ou soir). Bref très très bien, du coup le prix s'en ressent.
