Stipe Residence was perfect for our Split stay! The room was spacious with a great bathroom, and the AC worked tremendously well. Bus stop is just steps away (used it frequently to get around downtown Split) and there is a beach is right across the street with tons of restaurants along it. Location can't be beat - everything you need within walking distance, including a market. Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Split!

walking distance. My only regret is that a balcony room wasn’t available. We had 3rd and beautiful view of beach/ocean but no balcony. Owner/manager was very pleasant. My only complaint was the dryer taking quite a long time to dry clothes but other than that, definitely worth every dime. Recommend travel to Omiš for water/land excursions (15 minutes away).

A lovely modern apart-hotel with a fabulous view of the Adriatic islands. Good quality bed, bath and kitchenware. Scrupulously clean. Ideal for self catering and for visiting Split - the bus stop is right outside. Our studio and balcony were spacious and beautiful. Staff were wonderful, alerting me at once to property I left in error. Steep slope and stairs to access may be challenging for some guests but we would highly recommend Stipe and Podstrana,

Over book accommodation, your booking is not safe

I booked this accommodation. On arrival, we were told they overbooked. They put us together with another family on a single flat after 4 hours' negotiation. The flat cost a lot less than our original booking and they refused to give out refund. With two small kids, we were only supplied an accommodation at 1:00am in a different place. Two people have to sleep in the lounge. We were told they overbook in order to earn money from cancellation.

Room with a view

This is a property without a reception so my concern was finding someone to let us in. However, the owner left the note and the keys were inside the room which was fine as far as I am concerned. The view from our balcony was outstanding. The beach was within short distance.

So sad to have to leave!

It was wonderful!!! This was a week's vacation with my daughter between her completing an academic program in Europe and returning to the U.S. -- after 2 years. We had a great time and the Hotel Stipe was beautiful and the staff not just accommodating, but also genuinely friendly and interested in us as we were in them. Thanks friends!

Good one night stop-over on a road trip.

We stay regularly in Podstrana after flying in or out of Split. It is close to the airport but away from the madness of the city. This was our first stay at Stipe. The receptionist was very helpful, directed us to the room and gave us a glass of milk so we could make coffee straight away. Most hotels in Croatia don't have tea or coffee making facilities which is why we booked an apart-hotel. The kitchenette had a kettle, small fridge, microwave and two ring hob which all worked and were immaculately clean but there was not much in the way of kitchenware. No problem for one night but would have wished for more on a longer stay. The WiFi worked well in Room 6.
Perfect for one night and much better value than the beachfront hotels we have stayed in. Will return.

Lovely, quiet apartment very close to the beach

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, our room was really clean and the air conditioning was great. The shower and kitchen facilities were also excellent. We had fresh towels and our room cleaned every day. We had a mountain view which was perfectly fine if you want to pay less for your room. The staff were really friendly and approachable for information. The beach is literally just across the road where there is a good choice of restaurants and tavernas. The bus to Split is frequent and takes around 40 to 50 minutes during busy times, the bus stop is just outside the hotel so very convenient and only costs 13 kn. I would definitely stay here again.

A nice hotel with a beautiful view.

I found the hotel very pleasing, bed comfortable, personnel very nice.
The sat. TV was not too user friendly and no instructions. Breakfast on the terrace was enjoyable but if it rains you will have to take it on the room's balcony.
A bus service operates from outside hotel to Split every 30 minutes and it takes 20 mts.
There are restaurants at the marina but very expensive as you would expect it.
Nearby restaurants are not too pleasant to dine in. The alternative is Split; we had lunch at Pizzeria Portas, they serve pizzas and Mediterranean dishes at a reasonable price.
300 Mtrs from hotel there is a Supermarket and has everything you need but don't expect a smile from the personnel.
You can get picked up opposite, for trips to Dubrovnik (recommended) and other tourists locations.

The hotel is great! The room was bigger than expected and the balcony (overlooking the sea) was huge with great comfortable furniture!
Hotel is a 30 min bus ride to centre of split but I found the bus ride a great experience and it was so easy with English speaking drivers!
Will definitely visit again! Thanks

Arrived in evening 19:30, no one at hotel to check in. Hotel would not answer calls, rang call service at hotel dozens of times no answers! Called several times again no answers. Spoke with other guests they did not know how to get in touch with the owners either. Had to book a room at the large hotel for the night. Showed up next morning to the hotel and guess what the staff member was their. Showed the contact details and the call log on my phone, described guests and all other details. Staff members response \" Well you might get your money back\" Don't waste your time with this place.

Very reasonable accommodations!

My friend and I recently stayed in one of the units for three nights and it was perfect for our stay in the Split area. We had a car and so the 10-minute drive to Split was just fine because the rate was so good. In addition, I had requested on the site to have two beds but when we showed up they had missed the note and had a unit with just one bed. After a quick call they changed the unit to one with two beds and we were all set!

why you shouldnt use this hotel

Hotel was ok, at least it was more then i expected for that price.
However there was no receptionist waiting for us upon arrival 1130pm after 30 minutes i eventually figure out (with help of one of the guests) that there is a bell on the other side of hotel(sic!)
during one week nobody cleaned our room even there was a PLEASE CLEAN OUR ROOM label hanging on the door.
Eventually we managed to get a mop so we could do it ourselves.
In summary:
If you want a nice looking place with decent distance to the beach and bus stop (less then 100 meters) with no working WIFI (we had to go to reception area to get in range) I will recomend it to you

Very pleasant stay!

The apartment was very clean, spacious with a beautiful sea view and lovely balcony. It was handy to have the kitchen, fridge and private parking. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the internet did not work in the room but signal was very strong on the outside terras, above the reception.

Not easy to find apartments, one staff member showed us to our room, nice view, told if we needed any think to ring out side door bell, at 4 30pm rang to ask if someone could help to sort why the TV was not working. Left at 8.00pm to get dinner and still no one had arrived, on our return the TV was working. The double bed was appalling, this apartment had a 4 star rating, the bed was ready for the tip, had to search for any top bedding, found in wardrobe, the towel for shower where just hand towels. Not 4 star standard. Breakfast was extra , but was good.

quiet getaway

The hotel is about 8km from Split in a quiet area. Podstrana is beautiful, with mountains behind the clear blue sea and local beaches. There aren't many shops in the area, and a few local bars, so if you are looking for a quiet break, it;s spot on. The Aparthotel was very clean and only 2 minutes walk from the beach. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Take a trip to the old town in Split (approx £15) by taxi- its historical buildings and heritage are amazing. I would stay here again. if you are looking for nightlife and bars then this isnt the place, but for a quiet few days away in the sun, R&R, and swimming in the crystal blue sea then i would recommend it.

Everything was lovely, the room may have been the best we had all holiday, very large with a large bathroom and sizable kitchen. Also have very good conditioning. Though no one was available when we arrived so we had to wait for a while, and the breakfast was simple.

Near miss experience

We arrived the hotel at 9pm. There wasn't anyone at the reception. We tried a buzzer labelled reception at the hotel but no luck. We went across the street and found a helpful receptionist from another hotel to ring a local number on our Expedia confirmation. It went through to hotel stipe reception mobile which is not stationed in the hotel. It took her 10 mins to drive back and checked us in. If we didn't find the guy to help us rang the number we wouldn't be able to check in.

Apart from this near miss experience, the receptionist is reasonably helpful and spoke good english.

Es war alles traumhaft schöne. Sauber, ordentliche, große Terrasse und eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Für Leute die ein leichten schlaf haben und etwas längere schlafen wollen. Nimmt euch am besten oropax mit, denn die Türen sind normale Zimmertüren(dünn). Die Türen werden doch meistens zu geschlagen.

I liked the size, the view and that it was nice and quiet, with front beach.
I didn’t like that you had to live the door opone of the room to get air conditioning. The sheets of the bed were very small didn’t cover the body and it needs a toaster.

We were overall very satisfied! There’s a bus stop just 1 minute away, which takes you to the city center of Split. There’s also a beach nearby, only 5 minutes away. Appartement impeccable avec tout le confort nécessaire. Propreté irréprochable, literie de très bonne qualité. Bien situé (très proche de Split). Personnel très aimable et attentionné, sans être envahissants. Familierettet leilighetskompleks nær stranden!

Dette er et leilighetskompleks, og ikke et hotell - og er myntet på personer/familier som ønsker umiddelbar nærhet til strandliv.
Leiligheten var ganske ren, men ut i fra støvoppsamlingen så ble den ikke vasket hver dag. Fin utsikt fra leilighet 11 - og et greit lite kjøkken med to stekeplater. Går ikke an å lage store middager, men kjøkkenet er nok reservert mer til frokostprogrammet. Kort vei til både restauranter, Strand, butikk - og ikke minst buss inn til Split.
Tips: LEI BIL! Taxi/uber er dyrt - og de prøver alltid å lure deg for penger. (Kjører lange omveier, ber om kontantbetaling m.m).
Personalet var veldig imøtekommende og hyggelig, noe som er overraskende sjeldent mtp at 90% lever av serviceyrker/turisme.
Podstrana, som forøvrig ligger i utkanten av Split, er fint og passer barnefamilier i alle aldre.

Mooie, goede locatie tegenover het strand.
Met de auto zijn malls en supermarkten op korte afstand. mooi uitzicht enige minpunt is de parkeerplaats, moeilijk te bereiken als het druk op de weg is en als je laat in de avond terugkomt is er geen plek super krappe plekjes niet de veiligste of meest overzichtelijke plek om naar toe of van weg te rijden naar de autoweg.

2 weeks in Panorama apartment, the place itself was clean and functional with the lovely sea view. The english-german speaking staff very friendly. Podstrana a little disappointment, but handy place visit from to Split-Omis-Brela and the islands. A bus stop right at the front the apartment building and a bus to Split goes quite often and costs a little over 1 €. Only negative thing is the very busy road between the apartemento and the beach, no chance hiring bikes and riding along that road, too risky.

Flott leilighet med praktfull utsikt. Kort vei til stranden hvor der var komfortable solstoler og passe med folk. Kort vei til bakeri og liten butikk.
Flere gode restauranter i området. vi spiste flere ganger på Amigos som ligger direkte på stranden.
Buss til Splitt like nedenfor leilighet. Vi hadde leiebil.

Olimme viikon hotellissa ja olimme todella tyytyväisiä. Henkilökunta oli mukavaa, huone siivottiin päivittäin ja saimme huoneen upealla merinäköalalla. Sijainti oli kiva, n. 8km Splitistä ja bussilla pääsi hyvin liikkumaan. Hotelli lähellä rantaa, sekä aamiaismahdollisuus myös. Kunto ja ilmaistointi oli moitteettomia. Suosittelen! :)

Hyvä hotelli hyvällä paikalla.

Olimme viikon tässä hotellissa. Sijainti oli hyvä. Ranta oli heti hotellin edessä, tien toisella puolella. Näkymät hotellin parvekkeelta olivat mahtavat. Heti hotellin edessä oli bussipysäkit mistä pääsi paikallisbusseilla kätevästi kumpaankin suuntaan. Siisteys oli ensiluokkaista! Siivoojat kävivät joka päivä, paitsi sunnuntaina ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin myös joka käynnillä. Ovisummerilla sai yhteyden hotellin henkilökuntaan , vaikka paikalla respassa ei olisi ollut ketään. Henkilökunta ystävällistä.

Trevlig tillmötesgående personal.
Runt/i hotellet rent och snyggt.
Ligger på en höjd. Fin utsikt över havet.
Nära till stranden,
vilket var där man måste ta sig fram om man promenerade mot huvudorten.
Dock lite besvärligt om man nu skulle ta sig fram nattetid till fots.
Men det var ju detsamma för alla hotell som var i området
Fanns inga trottoarer längs huvudvägen åt det hållet och ganska livlig trafik.

Restauranger fanns läng stranden.

Väldigt lyhört.
Några stökiga hotellgäster som inte förstår att kommunisera på \"normal\" nivå.
En säng i vårt rum knakade och knirrade så fort man rörde sig det lilla minsta, mkt störande.
Men om ingen tidigare påtalat det så kan det ju bero på det, att det inte åtgärdats?

Det fanns ett bageri och en liten livsmedelsbutik alldeles nära.

Busshållplats nära om man vill ta sig till Split, ca 25 minuters resa.
Fanns 2 olika bussar, en kommunal? och en privat. Båda kostade 12ku.
Uttag för kontanter via kreditkort fanns tvärs övergatan.

Olimme melko pettyneitä, koska luulin tilanneeni huoneen merinäkymin. Meidät majoitettiin tullessa pihanpuolen huoneeseen, mutta seuraavana päivänä henkilökunnan kanssa pääsimme yhteisymmärrykseen huoneen vaihdosta. Henkilökunta mukavaa ja englannilla pärjäsimme hyvin. Liikkuminen julkisilla Splitin keskustaan sujui hyvin alkukankeuksien jälkeen. Menemme uudestaan, koska Kroatia/Split ylitti odotuksemme.

Hotel met toplocatie!

Dit hotel is absoluut een aanrader! Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het water en de afstand van de luchthaven Zadar is erg goed te doen. De gastvrouw was erg vriendelijk, als zij niet aanwezig is kun je haar bellen via een soort intercom. De wifi is erg goed. De kamer is voorzien van alle comfort! Klein keukentje, koelkast, heerlijke bedden, schone lakens en baddoeken zijn aanwezig. Tevens zijn er bij elke kamer balkon(s) aanwezig. Ontbijt wordt je aangeboden voor ongeveer 5 euro en kun je op een buitenterras nuttigen. Absolute aanrader; restaurant Amigos, mooi uitzicht op de helder blauwe zee en heerlijke visgerechten.

Großzügiges Wohnen in Strandnähe

Das Hotel befindet sich etwas oberhalb einer Küstenstraße in Strandnähe. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig gestaltet und besonders hervorzuheben ist die, dem Meer zugewandte, möblierte Terrasse. Es gibt ein paar Restaurants entlang der Strandpromenade, die meist anderen Hotels zugehörig sind. Das Meer ist kristallklar und sauber, ebenso wirken die Kiesstrände sehr gepflegt. Neben Wassersportarten (die z.B. vom Meridien angeboten werden) gibt es aber wenig Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. Die Busanbindung zum Hotel, nach Split bzw. nach Omis, ist recht gut (alle halbe Stunde kommt ein Bus, der zwischen 12 und 17 Kuna recht preisgünstig ist).
