What a wonderful stay at the Wellesley! From the moment we arrived all we felt was relaxation, with the amazing staff taking care of everything. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful vacation. The beach, pool, grounds, food- all amazing. Thank you for making our first visit to Fiji unforgettable

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Wellesley Resort over the weekend. The beds were very comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful—so peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast was average, but the lunch and lovo were fantastic. A special thank you to Veti, who was incredibly responsive and understanding—especially when we arrived late and hungry. She went out of her way to accommodate our group of 8, which we really appreciated.
There was no internet in the room, but it actually turned out to be a blessing—it gave us the chance to unplug and truly enjoy each other’s company. Would definitely recommend!

Our first time holidaying on Coral Coast and this was a great place to wind down. Luckily weather was fine, as it was the rainy season and the week prior had been really wet. Adults only, small boutique property which suited us. Fortunately, we had a rental car, as this resort is way off the beaten track, and transport is definitely required, as quite a distance from other places to visit. Food choices are limited. Beautiful grounds and pool. Thank you to Riz, Veti, Jane & Faiza for a lovely relaxing stay.

Absolute gem of a resort. Amazing food, accommodation and service. After 11 visits to Fiji this stands out as one of my favourites. Veti, the Manager is an angel who will do anything to inprove your stay. She was there when we arrived late on a Sundat night after 11pm, and there when we left before 6am a week later. Food in Fiji is known to be hit and miss at the best of times but Wellesley did not disappoint. Gourmet food at very affordable prices. If you want peace and serenity this is the place to go. 10 out of 10.

Our time at the Wellesley was my favourite part about our trip to Fiji. The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean with all the amenities you could need. The resort as a whole was breathtaking, with incredibly meticulous tropical landscaping and a view of the reef from the pool and restaurant that would make you shed a tear at dinner time.
But all of that was shadowed by the elite level service we recieved by the staff on site. The chef, Raj, took in to consideration our vegetarian dietary requirements and stunned us with mouth watering food everyday. No meal was exactly the same - a true master of his craft. The wait staff Loslini and Andi

The Wellesley was a lovely resort where the staff are trying their best and meals are lovely however the rooms are quite basic and could be cleaner. It’s great if you are looking to detach from technology and just enjoy the beach, but it is quite far from anything else and there isn’t much cell service. All in all if you’re looking for a private small getaway it’s a nice place to stay.

Alcohol free resort!

Lovely spot. Driving in was difficult due to heavy rain and condition of the driveway. Was very surprised to find out when we arrived that this is an alcohol free resort due to owners religious beliefs. This was not communicated anywhere when booking. Very disappointing and not what you expect for an adults only resort.

Beautiful surprise oasis right in valley of lush gardens. Peaceful kid-free property perfect for relaxing holiday. Bring a book to laze by the tropical pool or kayak off beach. Hands on manager Riz lovely and restaurant Jack ensures dining experience perfect with welcoming smile and nice fresh food options. Enjoyed bushwalking and fishing with local employee. Perfect spot to recharge battery. Thanks Wellesley team for a beautiful escape holiday!

this is the second time i have been to this property, i love the way this place makes me feel.
if you are after a small, quiet resort you can enjoy the beach, bush, pool & restaurant in peace and quiet, lots of time to read books, enjoy the beach, feel local (next to the village) yet totally secluded this is the place for you.
internet access is average, and you may not have a TV in your room, but you don't come here for the technology, you come to re-center and relax.
food is okay (gets boring quickly) bring LOTS of snacks, fruit, drinks (incl. water) and your own milk for your room.
yes, the breakfast is small but i personally loved the porridge and fresh fruit each morning.
yes, the place needs a bit of a re-fresh (the air-conditioning desperately needs servicing) and it would be nice if they got some new kayaks, and snorkeling gear.
if you want the big resort stuff, like big breakfasts & daily activities, go and stay at a big resort.
if you want peace, come here.

The staff and the grounds are amazing, with an almost private beech in front of resort and an even more private beech a few minutes walk away. The road in is rough and it is at least 30 minutes drive to the nearest store. Sadly the resort no longer operates a bar or sells alcohol so you must BYO or walk 10 minutes to the Barefoot Resort. Breakfast and dinner excellent and good value for Fiji. Would stay again but bring more supplies.

We stayed one night and it was lovely. The road there was horrendous but it was worth it for the isolation it created. Very small and minimal in set up but worth the trek. Not we’d stay too long there again due to the isolation but it was perfect for our overall holiday in Fiji.

Stunning and with Amazing Staff!

Very private and peaceful! Talica and the staff were so helpful and friendly. You could not have a more welcoming and hospitable staff at a resort like this. I loved how private and quiet the beach is and it is so beautiful!
Yes the decking around the pool may need some work done but the pool is still great.
The food was lovely as well.
I booked in a massage by Mary at the nearby village. She has a little beach bure at the village for it and I felt so relaxed afterwards.
Just a caution for those wanting to book here, if you're taking a vehicle, you may need a car/ute that doesn't ride so low. The road can be a bit rough.

could be better

On the plus side this is a great location and the place is very clean, plus food was good. The staff were friendly but could have been more attentive, and too much loud music spoiled the atmosphere ( this was more for the staff than the customers). The resort needs some maintenance, particularly the deck around the pool which is a safety risk it is so rotten. We wouldn’t bother going back.

This was the 3rd time that we had stayed at the Wellesley. It is the perfect place to just sit, relax and unwind and start our holiday off. It is a hidden paradise, with a tropical atmosphere. It is a bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle, but if you are just after some peace and quiet, this is the place to go.

We last visited the Wellesley about 4 years ago and on our last visit it needed a lot of TLC and repairs and therefore we had decided not to return. When looking on the internet, we saw a lot of improvements had been made and some rooms even had their own plunge pools, so we decided to give it a go once again.

We were not disappointed and learnt that it now has new management. The food was beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. Congratulations to all involved for improving this little piece of paradise in Fiji.

Absolutely loved it. A peaceful and tranquil adults only resort. Not too much to do unless you go on day trips which can be costly but a great experience. Walks along the beach watching the sunset and a swim in the pool is all you need. Meet with the locals from the village and for a sml fee they will teach you net fishing and take you snorkeling along the reef edge. Also if your lucky you will be invited for dinner in the village which was an amazing meal. Definitely take snacks and duty free alcohol as it is a little pricey. Staff are amazing and you feel like family from the moment you arrive. A definite must. The location is very isolated but that's why you go there.

Excellent Staff. Friendly, helpful, and very hard working. Made me feel at home. Amenities are somewhat lacking. There were 3 kayaks ( in poor shape ) with only 1 paddle, and sections of the beachfront porch were closed off as they were falling apart. The food in the restaurant is good, but menu is limited and somewhat pricey. There is a village next to the resort that offers various activities, massages, and well made Fijian handicrafts.

This resort is very quiet with only 16 rooms and not next to any other establishments. It’s a 2 hour drive from the airport - I suggest sticking near Port Denaurau to get the most of your holiday and if you like a bit more of a social scene.

The resort does offer free airport pick-ups, but they were 45min late which made us nervous. The driver was very nice though and the car was comfortable.

Rooms are large and comfortable with A/C and loved the outdoor shower. Wi-go doesn’t reach the rooms, but is good in the common areas.

Food was amazing every single meal.

Kayaks are a bit sketchy... pool is a bit dated.

Recommend going on the hill walk through the village.

Instead of paying $75 pp for return transport to airport, consider taking the express bus (nice charter bus) from the main road ($10 one way) - hotel will organize drop-off for you (3min drive)

We needed a quick sunny getaway which we booked last minute. We found a gem in Wellesley Resort. It was quiet, out of the way and very relaxing. The property needs a little attention, especially the decking around the pool and beachfront but overall it's a wonderful place to relax.
The highlight of our stay was the staff at the resort. What a wonderful group of people. Very welcoming and friendly. Mere, the Manager made us feel at home from the start. Then we met the smiling faces of the lovely Mereani and Sekove (Scobie) the wonderful bar and restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Naca and Raj cooked up a storm all week and produced lovely local and international dishes. Mili was the ever smiling housekeeper (helped by Scobie when he wasn't tending bar!) We can't forget Sabir, the always grinning and chatty grounds keeper. Then there was Ratu Sela, the Chief, who ended up being our driver on many an occasion and was a man of much wisdom and humour. It was a pleasure to meet you all, you make the Wellesley Resort a place of rest and relaxation. Vinaka vaka levu. Louise & Stu

This resort is really peaceful and quiet. beautiful scenery. It is the place to go if you want to relax and do nothing! The staff were nice but service very average. Reception was almost always unattended when we went to ask something. Often sat in the restaurant for 15/20 min before anyone walked in. You are given one complimentary bottle of water per day which is generous but there is not the option to buy more are the resort so bring plenty of your own or you will be constantly dehydrated. We wish we had known this. Overall this resort is not super flash but is definitely a good place to relax.

It would be a great place to say if you are after complete isolation and if the weather is good.
Unfortunately we weren’t so lucky. It rained all day everyday pretty much and there were many weather related issues (power cut, muddy tap water, tv not working etc...). Not their fault though. Only one restaurant with limited choice and nowhere to buy another other food (except for the 1 nearby other resort’s 1 restaurant with lower quality food). Everything was really pricey and there was no activity to entertain us in that weather. All outside transport is very expensive. Wifi was really poor too. Some area not well maintained (nails in the open on the poolside).
Staff is nice and welcoming but didn’t offer much compensation for all the issues. Would potentially recommend for 3 days tops of full tranquility.

Me and my partner recently spent 4 nights at the Wellesley Resort. we had such a great time that we decided to extend our stay with an extra night. The resort provided a complimentary pick up from Nadi Airport, pick up was on time and the driver was very helpful, allowing us to stop off on the way to us the ATM. The resort itself is located in a very quiet area, nestled amongst lush tropical rainforest and a beautiful beach right on your doorstep. The location is perfect but it is remote. The Wellesley offers plenty of activities including waterfall and mangrove walks, Kayaking, snorkelling and local village activities.
We had such an amazing stay and was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Food was also very good, the resort was happy to provide meals that were not on the menu also. The resort has one of the most stunning coral reefs just on front of it which is only accessible by boat. I have done over 3500 dives in locations all around the world and this area is amongst my most memorable. Saying this the Wellesley resort didn't offer local diving and I believe the resort would benefit from having its own Dive Centre. Thank you for a great stay!

Peace, quiet, relax, repeat!

If you want peace and quiet to just relax, lie on a beach, read a book, go swimming, kayaking or snorkelling - then this is the place for you. The activities are all at your own pace - no preorganised timetable with a million and one people making their presence felt. It is like having your own private beach house with the choice to engage as much or as little as you want in what the resort has to offer. Being an adults only resort during school holidays is also a HUGE bonus in making sure you relax at your own pace.

My Daughter had her wedding there, the staff we're so lovely and helpful, they were excited for the day, Talica the Manager, went well beyond her duty, in following up with documents, that was needed for a legal wedding in Fiji, as well as Australia (which is were we are from).
The family stayed there a week and we all agree that we will be back, a couple of us have food allergies, and even though the menu seems small, the chefs are more than happy to add vegetables or mix and macth meals, as well as making them plain - if that is what you require. Talica and staff are very happy to help you if you need to book a transfer to an activity or just to go shopping. The resort itself is on the beautiful Coral coast, so snoring and Kayaking is a must while you are there, the fish and marine life are amazing and this activity is free from the resort . The rooms are amazing - we stayed in an Executive Room, the bed was very comfortable - and bonus, they give you clean beach towels each day. We will certainly go back, being a small resort, set in a valley in what they call the mountains, it is so calming and relaxing

Had a great three-day stay here. While the weather didn't cooperate (cyclone hit on our second day) we still enjoyed the services of the friendly staff and the comfort of our room. The room was huge with a seating area, soft bed, fridge, large sink area and bathroom. While some areas of the room showed their age and the effects of tropical weather it was very comfortable and relaxing. The meals we had at the restaurant were all fantastic and prices were very reasonable. There's a nice big pool with comfy loungers and another lounging area down at the beach. There's nowhere close to walk as far as shops and such so bring your own snacks if you want. Really loved this place.

Nothing to do

First—the good: the food was really good and the staff was kind and friendly. But the resort leaves a lot to be desired. The pool is a good size, but they only put the pads on the chairs one day out of the three we were there, so we had to sit on bare plastic frames. There is no beach. The high tide comes right up to property’s edge and when it is low tide, the sand has seaweed growing everywhere so there is no swimming at all. Plus—there were tin cans—rusty ones everywhere in the sand. We were afraid to walk out into the seaweed sand because we didn’t know what was in the seaweed that we couldn’t see. Property is out in the middle of nowhere, so if you want seclusion, this is your place. We were bored to tears. The activities they posted NEVER happened and the worst part of the whole experience was that the mosquitoes were FIERCE!!! I will never go back to this resort.

Tropical Rainforest Seclusion

The most amazing location - tucked away in the midst of hilly rainforest splendour. Food was fab (Eggs Bene are a must have), staff friendly & smiling. Room facilities were a little tired but clean, comfortable & serviced every day & the pool & surrounding gardens are tropical tranquil at its best. We hired a car to explore surrounding areas but ended up spending the entire week relaxing in the resort. A lovely stay.

Great hotel but location secluded

Staff here were excellent - couldn't have done more for you. Food was delicious but limited menu. The perfect place for a secluded getaway right on the beach the only downfall is you have to have a car or able to use the buses. No restaurants or entertainment nearby. Choice of kayaking or snorkelling, or garden walks but very quiet on a night. Sadly caught a bug whilst there but staff very accommodating.
Overall a lovely, relaxing stay.

False advertising - not an adults-only hotel

The hotel is advertised as adults only, no guests under age 16. This is a lie. We awoke to the shrieking of children at 7:30am our FIRST MORNING there, of our honeymoon, by the way. There was a family of SEVEN in the room next to us, three adults and FOUR kids all under age 10. The kids screamed and ran wild throughout the resort, jumping in the pool, splashing, yelling, shrieking on the beautiful private beach for two nights and three days while their parents yapped on their cell phones. When I asked at reception why the hell there were kids in adult only hotel I was told, \"oh yes, they checked in last night, we'll tell them to be quiet.\" Blatant false advertising and when I complained to Orbitz I was told flatly nothing would be done about it. We live in a neighborhood with kids on all sides and just wanted one week to be able to sleep in. Thanks for making us travel 18 hours and spending 6k to ruin our honeymoon, Orbitz and Wellesley Fiji.

The food was super, the staff were so attentive. They were so kind and caring. We loved lounging by the huge pool and bobbing up and down in the crystal clear lagoon. Evening cocktails on the beach bar deck were so romantic. We can't wait to come back

Blissfully Relaxing Stay

We were so impressed with our recent stay at the Wellesley Resort. It was everything we could of wished for and more. The personalised service was faultless from the minute we arrived. We really did feel like we left as friends. The drive into the resort was wonderful and you got to see the real side of Fiji, driving through the little towns along the way. The long driveway wound through beautiful plantations and opened up with magical sea views. We booked their middle of the range suites and they exceeded our expectations. Rooms spacious than most other resorts we've stayed in, very clean, with all the amenities you'd need. We loved dining over looking the pool and the ocean. The chef and wait staff were fun. They had loads of free activities on offer - local garden tours, coconut husking etc. We spend hours lounging on the beachside loungers...kept the bar staff busy! I even did my first snorkeling experience, not usually being one to swim in the sea. Forget about the large chain hotels where you're just one of 500 guests. Stay at the peaceful Wellesley where you really do leave as a friend and nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to book a return stay.

Isolated hotel

Disappointed with the expectations vs reality of our stay here. It is an isolated hotel which is nice in someways and annoying in others. Booked this hotel because of the day spa and outside bath in the honeymoon suite. None of those existed and wasn't informed until after we booked the hotel. Even their website has the wrong info. Picked up from the airport for a two hour drive; if they ask do you want to stop at the shops DO IT! There are no shops at the resort. A small \"shop\" in the village next door only open during the day selling basic snacks and drinks and souvenirs. Room was fairly clean, but seem inexperienced with off white bath towels and written 'Wellesley' in permanent marker. Lack of pool towels when only 10 people staying at the resort. We didn't get any. Gaffa tape on our pleather couch to keep the seams together.
We enjoyed the activities once we found out there were some. Coconut tasting, kava tasting, garden and mangrove walk. Thanks to the local Sybill who worked there.
It advertised itself as 'adult only' but half way through our stay a family of 4 came. 13/15year old boys. Well behaved but what age is considered 'children'?
Expedia also needs to check their info as they also gave us the wrong info about rooms and amenities there.
If you want an isolated resort where you really have nothing to do and slow wifi (when you buy it) then this is the place for you.

Relaxation in Jungle

Wellesley Resort is isolated in the jungle. On the upside, guests receive a private beach to themselves with a village nearby. The water is blue and perfect to swim. The staff is very friendly and the resort provides a couple activities everyday if you choose to join. Sabir organized the activities and was very kind. He took us on a hike nearby and showed us how to open a coconut! Would definitely recommend if looking for a completely private, kid-free, quiet place.

Beautiful, calm, peaceful spot

- to get there from Nadi airport we took an airport taxi for 150FD as we thought this cheaper than the hotel offered service (160FD), which was about 2.5-3 hours long because unfortunately our taxi driver got lost
- track to the resort from the main road ~5-10 minute careful drive as quite rough, both our taxi drivers complained bitterly about this
- secluded spot - absolutely beautiful scenery - lush forests, palm and coconut trees, colourful flowers, with a beautiful clean pool, sun loungers, short stroll to the beach
- our room was an executive suite, which was comfortable, well equipped and clean, served our purposes perfectly
- food was delicious - good range offered considering the small kitchen, with a lot of fresh fruit and Fijian produce. Several couples, including us, became unwell with D+V (I suspect a virus rather than unhygienic food prep)
- some activities offered - one kayak had missing paddle so only one useable, reasonable snorkelling gear, swimming, organised walks from the gardener Sabir - hill top walk with views, Mangrove walk, coconut tasting etc
- You can go along the beach 5 minutes to Crusoe resort to organise scuba diving and on the way encounter the local village with a shop of souvenirs and locals who will organise half day trips to a nearby waterfall, village tours, meals and snacks - very friendly people who are making the most of tourist trade which seems reasonable to me - but be aware you may spend more than the experience is worth

Excellent Adults-Only Sojorn

We adored our stay at the Wellesely. We wanted a peaceful, child-free environment and this resort exceeded our expectations. It is true that this is a boutique-style resort punching above its weight for the great price. We stayed in the spacious honeymoon suite, which was stylish, with a high beamed roof and a lovely outdoor courtyard with shower, for that extra tropical feel. The landscaped tropical grounds felt so incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with the 15 suites dotted on either side of a lush green palm-fringed valley with a tiny brook winding through it. The large, wide, blue pool was perfect for relaxing by. I always look for a good pool - and this was one of them! The resort ambles down to a beautiful beach, where there is alabaster sand, aquamarine, crystal clear water and lots of coral populated by a myriad of tropical fish. I saw so many Nemos that I now never need to see a clown fish again. They pop out of the coral, try to shoo you away, then zip back in again. Priceless! There are zebra fish, electric blue fish, yellow angel fish, multi-coloured parrot fish, blue starfish - the list goes on. If you want to catch a small wooden boat out a bit further towards the reef (not too deep for fraidy cats like me), just ask for Benny from the village right next door. Food at the resort was delicious and changes each night to keep up variety. But if you want a dinner change, just walk to nearby Crusoes - it's tacky, good fun for one night! Would definitely return.

Beautiful boutique resort.

This place ticked all the boxes with respect to small, intimate, lovely room, beautiful pool and most important a lovely beach.
The resort only has 14 rooms, is adult only, so very quiet.
We had one of the honeymoon suites and loved it.
The grounds are well kept and pool in beautiful condition. Because of the remoteness ( 5km in from main road), you have little choice but to dine at the resort. The dinner menu changed daily, however we found the food rather expensive for the simple smaller servings. Basic meals really.

Room was very nice for a romantic getaway. There is nowhere around to get food or anything, so expensive food at resort or other resort are the main options, maybe it would have been better to get food plan. There is a little local fijian shop between the two hotels, prices are okay and they have basics like cookies and crackers, etc. They also serve food there with the same pricing as resorts, but much bigger portions. I recommend the hotel masseuse over the lady on the beach.

Wellesley resort, a marvellous place to relax

Chose this resort for a relaxing chilled holiday. Beautiful setting in its own small valley fronting on to its own clean sandy beach on the CoralCoast of Fiji. Open air pool in front of the lounge area, extensive but natural gardens, decking areas around the pool and fronting on to the beach. Included activities enjoyed were coconut tasting, garden tour with knowledge of all the local plants and their uses, hilltop stroll overlooking the coral reef and the landscape behind, free use of canoes and snorkelling equipment, line fishing in the lagoon (the catch would be prepared for your evening meal)
Staff were some of the friendliest we have ever met, smiling all the time and always finding time for a chat, all praise to the manager and her staff. Menu varied each evening and would even do requests. Would love to go back if possible.

This hotel was last renovated in 2004.

Nothing has been done since. The first night I was in tears. We were put in a basic room. Cracked tiles in the shower from roof to floor covered in Bodily fluids from many years. Facilities listed in the room and resort were broken or in bad condition. We were moved to another room the next day. If you do decide to stay, ask for executive. The Curtains are still ripped, sink is 2cm away from wall, power points don't work but it's better.
The menu needs a thorough do over (you are 45 min drive from nearest restaurant)
The saving grace for me was the no children rule, the beach and the view. Unbeatable.
Things that don't impact on your stay but still matter are broken entry gates, broken lights, umbrellas thrown in the stream, broken fridge and so on.
There is a promise to renovate. Ensure this has occurred before you book.
I would not return

Great place for a seclusion, snorkelling

I enjoyed staying in Wellesley, writing a science paper in between snorkeling in the lagoon. There is a good variety of reef fish there, and unlike many other places in Fiji the lagoon does not have a lot of sharp corals on the bottom. I liked my room (Wellington suite), it had the biggest flat screen of any place I stayed in Fiji (not that I used it), and I liked the art work on the walls. The place appears to be popular with Aussie blonds seeking seclusion with their black lovers. The food was OK, not great. They advertised kayaking but out of 3 kayaks they have, 2 were broken. Their WiFi is so slow it is hardly usable even for email. When booking anything through the resort, beware they overcharge for everything. I asked for a taxi ride to Sigatoka and they quoted me $90FJ. Do not get disappointed: just go out to the beach, walk like 100 yards to the right and there will be a hand sign \"Shop\" on the palm tree. Behind you will see a shack and a local woman who looks like she just snacked on Captain Cook. I asked her for a taxi, she got me a ride in like 5 mins for 1/3 of the price at the resort. If you look for a fresh food, also ask her. She will catch a chicken, chop off the head, and cook it right in front of you, for like 1/2 of the price of a dinner at the resort. Watch your steps when walking at the dusk - the place is invaded by hordes of frogs who appear out of nowhere at sunset, you can easily step on them

Excellent location if you need some quiet time. Lunches are ok and evening meals unfortunately are disappointing. Try eating in the village or at Cruesoes next door for more
variety and quality. Walks with the friendly gardener are great. Would be even better if a few more activities were available ie. Shopping trips to Suva and maybe croquet, bowls, badminton etc. on the lawns. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Wellesley.

A secluded and quiet adults only boutique resort.

We spent 5 days here and really loved our stay. The setting is very private, so if you are looking for a place that is remote and quiet, The Wellesley Resort is perfect.
Great pool, good food, delicious \"Cocktail of the Day\" (thank you Henriette), friendly and helpful staff ensured our stay was all that we were wanting.
We could snorkel amongst the coral in the beach directly in front of the resort, (goggles, snorkels and flippers supplied) Canoes available to use also.
The village next door is very welcoming. Ben, a local villager, will take you fishing in the traditional way with nets, and even invite you to his home for dinner. What a wonderful experience that was.
The gardeners are happy and willing to guide guests on various walks. Hilltop, Garden and Mangroves -- and reward you with a fresh coconut to enjoy afterwards.
Ada and her staff are very warm and amiable.

Relaxing and close to the beach

A lovely resort, with friendly staff. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, however I would like to see the main menu and the end result increase in quality. More people would walk-in from the resorts just down the beach to try it out. Suggest a hire car to investigate the Coral Coast as the dirt road to the resort is approx 4 klm...a real adventure, great when you get there. The resort pool is fabulous along with the surrounding decks, plenty of space. Walks along the sandy white beach and a massage with the locals was a hit. Village people were welcoming with kava and dance and showing off their local crafts. On the other side of Sigatoka, there is a pottery village, that one of the local girls took us too after we gave her a life to town. We wouldnt have gone down that road as no sign, fabulous and friendly. Took in the snorkeling just off the reef , well worth it even with the swell. We really needed more than 6 days.

Would recommend as a boutique relaxing holiday.

Mellow tranquility

If you want to chill out immediately, this is the place to do it. It's SO QUIET. There were no kids there during our stay, which probably helped, but it's quite simply the most mellow joint I've stayed at. Perched on either side of a small valley, the palms, the frogs, the terraced gardens, the restaurant overlooking the gorgeous pool and to be beach beyond and below - it's all just gorgeous.
Suits couples who are big readers and swimmers, sunbakers and snorkellers.
You MUST get Wellesley to do your airport transfer, they'll send one of their delightful guys to get you. Otherwise it's a 2hr taxi ride from Nadi.

Dont trust the photos- wasn't like that at all...

We stayed here for 6 days. It is a very quite and natural location with a amazing beach! We had some bad weather unfortunately but that just added to the peaceful surroundings we were still able to do everything we wanted ...... However....

The room appeared clean at first but on a closer look (on top of the shelf, behind the bedside tables, or under the bed) was pretty gross. Bathroom was extremely old and very stuffy, the shower head hardly let water out. When i asked for clean towels i was told i would have to wait until Sunday. Bed was nice.

Food was good. Especially the Kokoda, but quite expensive for what it was.

Staff were nice to chat with but pretty poor at service provision, just a bit lazy and over it. You cant have a cup of tea/coffee outside of kitchen hours (7-10, 12-1, 6-9) that was totally ridiculous. Why not? Probably because the staff were too lazy or there was a sensational lack of staff to fill in on peoples breaks.

Heads up to management stop letting your staff play rap music with explicit lyrics during service. I know the resort is 18+ but i don't want to hear that kind of thing while munching on my lunch.

The snorkeling equipment that is \"free\" is so OLD that you would be lucky to find a whole fin (as they were all broken/ripped) and most masks leaked- so take your own.

Salon was lovely very nice massages and therapist.

For the price you pay you would expect more, you would get the equivalent in Asia for 1/4 the price.

Watch out for the TAX.

Very quiet and away from it all

Beautiful little spot on the Coral Coast. The resort is small and quiet.. perfect if you need to get away from it all. The standard room was very nicely presented and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend on booking transport via the resort if you are coming in from Nadi, as the drive is roughly 90-120mins long. The restaurant is reasonably well priced and the menu changes every day so there is always something new to try. The food is good, but not spectacular. The service is a little slow though, so don't expect fast food or anything like that. The snorkeling off the beach is great, but bring your own gear as the resort has some pretty old gear. The village next door is nice, and has a shop should you require snacks or drinks.. and the resort (Crusoes) 10mins walk down the beach will keep you entertained should you wish to see something new

Hidden secret slice of paradise

Quite a lengthy drive from main road to resort, but can be done on even the smallest budget car like we had. Would highly recommend using a rental car, as it is very isolated but set amongst very lush grounds. We booked a superior room, which was lovely including an extremely comfortable bed and 32inch TV with many sky channels. They are in the process of updating the reception and kitchen which didn't bother us as there weren't many customers. This is an adults only resort, which we enjoyed as it was so quiet and peaceful which included lovely scenery.
Food wasn't that flash, but was tasty, the only thing I would recommend is to bring your own snacks as they have set meal times. Snorkling was fantastic, but recommend to bring your own equipment if you can - we did and it was worth it as their gear has seen better days.
