The food was amazing at all meals. They had no option for upgrade available unfortunately, and despite the room being decent with a new refurbished bathroom, some of the furniture was dated. You got a welcome basket of drink and fruit on arrival which was nice and all staff helpful, overall good stay.

The cleanliness of the property stood out as you could see them clean constantly. It was relative quiet being it early in the season with lots of places to sit and relax. Within walking distance lots of very nice restaurants and the hotel is very close to the airport. We took a taxi to the airport nd were from hotel to gate (through security) in half an hour. Car rental in the lobby was very convenient and inexpensive to just rent a car for the day. Would highly recommend vs renting from the airport.The only comment we have is that the lounge chairs by the pool and beach were not comfortable and we choose to use the beach at the property next door instead. Overall a great hotel in a great area that we will definitely visit again.

The hotel was clean and the front desk helpful. It costs to use a beach chair at the beach; however there was no early morning saving chairs and always plenty of room so I didnt mind the fee. I felt like paying for soda at dinner was crazy. I really liked the night that they had Greek food, but I wasnt impressed with the dinner on other nights. I come to Greece for Greek food, not others. I quit eating dinner at the restaurant by the end of trip. The location of the hotel was good.

Two And A Half Stars

This is not a 4 star hotel; the pictures on the website may have been taken in 1980. The lounge and ensuite bathroom is very old and dated. We went half board the breakfast was ok but the evening meals, we enjoyed one day out of 7. The waiters and waitress were sometimes rude. They are a lot of places to eat outside the hotel.
WIFI is not free and the beach chairs are also not free you have to pay daily for the chairs. The beach is not comfortable to walk on it has stones with sharp sand you need aqua shoes.
This hotel is for young families, they have activities every day all day. If you have children and you like a lot of noise this is the place for you.

Close to the beach,located in Ialyssos,many restaurants and shops there,but you should walk a little bit to reach the main road to take the bus cz it's more affordable in ur stay (2.30€) otherwise u can use taxis that cost 17 to 19€) if u want to go to the city center (15 min from the hotel).The hotel is perfect for families,they have entertainment like pool zumba,volley, waterpolo for kids,disco nights,surfing at the beach...). If u want to sit at the beach u pay for ur chair and umbrella(6€) but on the pool is for free. We were upgraded to a suite with amazing view,very clean,and very nice staff.The food is very delicious : a very large buffet for breakfast and dinner with a large variety of food and a beach bar snack open from lunch time which u can choose to eat whatever u want(pita with chicken is yummy)...My mother and I enjoyed our time there it was just perfect! I was satisfied that my choice to this hotel was excellent :D

Nice for windsurfing.

Very comfortable and clean hotel in a very good location for windsurfing. The staff were so nice especially Maria and Froso at breakfast. However there were many extras that you wouldn't expect to pay for in a 4* hotel such as sun beds on the beach and grass, wifi, the room safe.

Very disappointing

What a disappointment - the check in when I arrived was half hearted. The room was very noisy - I did ask for a quiet room on a high floor and was given a noisy room on the ground floor. The restaurant both at dinner and breakfast was uninviting and the food was not good. Added to this you had to pay for wifi which is not acceptable considering the prices of the rooms. Would not stay again.

The overall stay was really good!! Great pool activities. The pool game helpers got everyone into the pool to join in on the activities. The buffet breakfast and dinner was good but the only thing with the buffet dinner you had to pay for drinks even water! And it wasn't cheap. And they tell you this after you order you drinks.

we had a very pleasent time at the blue horizon.. we arrived and they had problems with our rooms so they transferred us to a close hotel with upgrade to all inclusive til the next day.. they upgraded our rooms and hour deal to all meals.. they did all the transfer from and to the hotel.. very comfortable hotel, clean, pleasent staff, great location.. didn't like the food alot and no free wifi but very good value to its cost..

Overall the hotel was fine, the food was good, the areas were clean, towels were changed daily and the staff were very helpful. If you are a budding windsurfer then this is a good place to learn. Experts are equally at home here and you will see many of them during your stay. However what was disappointing was they did not provide pack lunches for full board customers. If you do intend going out on excursions daily, then only opt for half board. That said, feedback from other guests stated the local restaurants were good and value for money so you may wish to have breakfast only and use them. The hotel charge guests to use their own sun beds outside of the pool area, which again was disappointing for a full board customer. On a good note, Do use the local bus service to get to Rodos town, E2.20 one way and it takes approx 20 minutes. I hired a scooter, which saved me a lot of money as I visited most of the attractions on it, take your time through built up areas and you will be fine. Outside built up areas, not much traffic so you can move along quite quickly within the speed limits. Do take insect repellent and after bite spay, you will be stung otherwise by mozzies on your balcony and around the pool area. Crickets are a constant noise, however you do get use to them. Finally the hotel sits under the flight path of planes landing at the airport which is very close, again you get use to it.

Be aware that the convenience for the airport carries with it the distraction of being under the flight path with airliners passing only about 1,000 ft above your head; you kind of get used to it ?

The pool is excellent. Nice staff at beach club/pool bar. Beach is fine, with stones and windy in afternoon (best for surfers!). Nice sunset! Service at breakfast and dinner may be improved. No great choice of food (especially if travel with kids). No Greek food available! Better try outside of hotel. Overall: hotel may be considered as having 3 stars (plus), not 4 stars... Old hotel, needed improvements... No proper cleaning into the room during 3 days travel, only changing beds and towells. Not provided shower gel and soap everyday, only at the begining... Position of hotel: 15minutes walk from main road where buses from airport and Rhodos city are travelling (bad service for bus!). From airport pay 2.6 Euros then walk 15 minutes or 10-15 Euros by taxi. From hotel to Rhodos port (i.e. ferry to Turkey) costs some 15-18 euros by taxi (promptly ordered from reception desk).

2nd Year in a row

Last year we stayed at the hotel in one of the bungalows and enjoyed it so much we went back this year with the kids, again in bungalows. With the breakfast and evening meals included this worked out very well indeed with my two hungry offspring able to eat their fill. It is difficult to fault the food with reasonable choice and as much as you could manage. A special word also about the staff who are very helpful, cheerful and hard working. The pool is large enough to cater for all and the beach bar is ideally situated and reasonably priced. As a windsurfer the hotel could not be better placed for access to the 2 rental centres. We will be going back next year!

Lovely hotel right on the beach

We stayed in one of the bungalows overlooking the beach and the sea. Couldn't have picked a better location. Sun beds available (3euro per day) either on the beach or on the grassy lawn behind with a beach bar behind which was very reasonably priced considering location. As a windsurfer I had direct acess to the very well equipped centre whilst my non-windsurfing partner could chill out right next door.

This hotel was a solid 3 star, not 4 star. It was clean, comfortable, had a good range of facilities and the staff were very good. Our main gripe was that it was marketed as near to a Kitesurfing centre ( the main purpose of our trip) but was actually 10 mins by taxi.

It is probably best if you have kids or are a mature couple. If you want glamour and luxury, this probably isn't the hotel for you. Perhaps choose a hotel in Ialyssos village or Rhodes Town.

All in all we were fairly pleased 'though.

Blue Horizon Hotel

We liked this Hotel. It was close to the beach, the animation team were good, there were many activities to do (table tennis, tennis, windsurfing, boccia, water gymnastics, zumba, beach volleyball), there was a large pool and the staff was nice. Some things were not so good, such as: waiters in the restaurant was incredibly rude, it was a bit noisy from all the planes and the rooms were not up to date.

Not 4* for sure!

Externals: number of parking spaces in the front, well maintained garden in the back, good size pool, the hotel itself needs a bit of paint externally (currently washed blue). Bungalows are a bit cramped in between the hotel and beach, so you won’t have great sense of space and privacy, if you decide to book a bungalow.

Room: very clean. Each room is equipped with TV (don’t expect to see a flat screen, what you will get is old CRT type only) and fridge. Bathroom accessories (bath, WC) a bit outdated as well as lighting (flickering long tube fitting).

Food: ok, but nothing more. Serving times not the best as well: breakfast between 07.00- 09.45, dinner from 19.00. In my opinion the main problem is a very small choice of food. Greek dishes are limited only to feta cheese. If your flight back is early in the morning (i.e. before the breakfast starts), don’t expect to get any packaged sandwiches/ food, what you will be offered is some cookies.

Staff: mostly friendly, but as always there is 1 or 2 unpleasant- rude people amongst all the other. You are for example expected to know all the rules (re: paying for drinks in restaurant), but no one is explaining them to you first.

Day and evening activities (animation programme): very poor. During the day all you will get is loud music and some pool aerobics, in the evening karaoke or some sort of quiz.

My son, daughter, Mother in Law and my self were bitten so badly by bed bugs. Horrible, cheap sheets and the next day we were just covered. its a shame because the staff were lovely and friendly, the food so so but the room was terrible. maybe it was just our bad luck but we will NEVER go back.

We loved it. The views and the beach were beautiful. The buffet for breakfast and dinner were good. The nighly entertainment was nice.

If you rent a car, however, it is probably better to rent it from around the hotel or from the ariport because there are more choices. The taxi costs ~15 euros airport-hotel. The only agency at the hotel has a weird way of charging of \"1 day\" (1 day is considered, for example, 1 pm or 2 pm if you start renting in the afternoon-10 or 11 pm that same day, not a \"24-hour day\"/1pm-1pm next day).

A Great Destination

We had a lovely room with a balcony, looking over the gardens, the sea, and looking out to the Turkish mountains. The hotel staff were friendly, and the food was good. There was everything you could wish for at breakfast, and dinner was composed of a good variety of hot meals, lots of vegetables and salads. There werte some nice restaurants in the area, including The welcome House down the road, and the beach was a short walk through the garden.
The beautiful Rhodes town is a bus ride away and about a 15 minute walk to the bus stop.
A place we would definitely visit again, a most relaxing holiday.

Only problem i had with this whole hotel was the fact that the floor in our room was never swept even once in the entire week, when it quite obviously needed it. that and the fact the maid never gave toilet roll when we had none for a day, so we had to go complain. but other than that no complaints, and I will go back - beach is so near, lovely pool, lovely staff and the food was mostly good too (buffets)

ホテル棟に宿泊。建物自体は新しくありませんが、適切に維持管理されています。朝夕のバフェの料理の種類が豊富。ウィンドサーフィンセンターが有るのも魅力の一つ。プールは利用しませんでした。特にレストランとハウスキーピングのスッタフは素晴らしく、快適な滞在でした。

This hotel is the best! Extremely clean and superdelicious food! So sad that I was ill so I couldn’t eat for 3 days. The staff is so kind that they arranged a special meal for me so I could eat something.
This time there were a lot of noisy people in the hallways and the rooms of the hotel so I had sleeping problems, even with earplugs, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
I like this hotel so much!

Schönes Hotel mit direkter Strandlage. Sehr schönes Wasser, man kann toll in Meer schwimmen. An manchen Tagen war es sehr wellig, was uns große Freude gemacht hat, aber für kleine Kinder vielleicht nicht so passend ist.

Das Essen war gut und abwechslungsreich. Es gab jeden Morgen und Abend frisches Obst, abends eine große Salat-Theke, abwechselnde Gerichte und viele leckere Nachspeisen. Wir sind Vegetarier und haben auch bei den Hauptspeisen (fast) immer was leckeres gefunden.
Die Getränkepreise bei der Halbpension sind in Ordnung (Weizenbier 5,-/Glas Wein 3,50/ Cola 2,60) und die Kellner/innen alle sehr freundlich, hilfbereit und mehrsprachig.
Deutsch und Englisch war überhaupt kein Problem.

Hervorheben möchten wir noch die Sauberkeit im ganzen Hotel. Alles bestens und die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag (!) gereinigt und die Handtücher gewechselt.

Man kann direkt im Hotel ein Auto mieten ( ab 60€/Tag) und wird von der sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterin beraten. Wirklich toll!

Der Strand ist steinig (wussten wir vorher) und es empfiehlt sich Badeschuhe zu tragen. Wir haben uns welche für 8,50 im Ort gekauft und waren sehr zufrieden.

Die Liegen am Strand kosten 8€ am Tag für 2 Liegen und Sonnenschirm.

Unser Zimmer war ein Bungalow mit Gartenblick. Das fanden wir richtig super, weil man auf der Terrasse total ungestört sitzen kann, denn hinter dem Haus war nur ein kleiner Weg, der nur von den anderen Bungalow- Gästen genutzt wurde und dementsprechend wenig frequentiert war.

It‘s an ok beach hotel. Friendly staff but quite old furniture and style. If you book it make sure they give you a room with the new bathroom. I had an old one (photo).
The pool is nice and the garden too. Nice balcony view. Around the hotel are nice restaurants. The beach is very windy (a lot of surfers) and not really sandy… actually just stones.
There are better areas in rhodos for a beach holiday with less wind, quiter sea and sandy beaches.

Das Hotel ist sehr klein und mega alt.
Man ist umgeben von sehr alten Menschen und die Gegend ist auch sehr weit von der Stadt entfernt. Die Anlage ist überhaupt nicht schön. Für die liegen am Strand muss man täglich 4€ zusätzlich zahlen.
In der Nähe vom Hotel gibt es ein zwei nette Restaurants und kleinere Läden. Wer aber nicht umgeben von 60/70 jährigen Menschen sein will sollte lieber in der Stadt, also in Rhodos selber ein Hotel nehmen.
Das Personal ist super nett außer die Dame und der Herr von der Rezeption. Die reagieren allergisch auf Fragen und sind super unfreundlich.

Das Personal ist super freundlich und behandelt die Gäste als VIP. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hat einen ausgezeichneten Blick auf das Mittelmeer geboten. Bei dem ausgezeichneten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis würde ich hier sofort wieder buchen. Der Parkplatz direkt am Hotel ist kostenlos.

Die Lage hat uns besonders gut gefallen und wie freundlich das Personal war. Die Auswahl der Speisen zum Frühstück hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Am Abend gibt es allerdings Mottos wie \"Italienisch\" oder \"Fisch\" das fanden wir nicht so toll und sind lieber in den Tavernen in der Umgebung griechisch essen gegangen, Tavernen gibt es in der Nähe zum Glück auch einige.

De kamer die wij hadden was gerenoveerd,prima. Maar de rest van het hotel is oud en aan renovatie toe. Als je bent uitgecheckt en in de avond vliegt nog wel gelegenheid om te douchen. Dan krijg je een paar oude handdoeken mee en mag je beneden douchen. Wat een vies hok,daar word niet schoongemaakt en de douchecabine valt bijna uit elkaar!

Ich habe das Hotel für drei gute Freunde für 10 Tage im Juli gebucht.
Obwohl ich das Hotel mit Bungalow bereits im März gebucht habe, war bei Ankunft kein Bungalow frei.
Meine Freunde wurden also im Haupthaus in der zweiten Etage in ein normales Zimmer mit Balkon
einquartiert. Dieser Umstand war nach der langen Anreise und der Vorfreude auf das gebuchte Bungalow
schon mal sehr ärgerlich und hat die Urlaubsstimmung gleich bei Ankunft getrübt.
Das Hotel ist nicht das neueste aber gepflegt, die Lage des Hotels ist günstig, da es sich direkt an der
Touristenmeile (Ferenikis-Street) befindet, mit vielen Bars,Cafes,Tavernen,Supermärkte,Souvenierläden, etc.
Der Poolbereich ist eher spartanisch und nicht sehr modern, ausserdem mit teilweise sehr rutschigen Fließen
im Nassbereich. Auch bietet der Pool für Kinder keinen großen Spaßfaktor, ausser einen kleinen runden
Babypool ist dort für Kinder nichts geboten. Ein schockierendes Erlebnis hatten wir als ein Kind mitsamt dem
nichtbefestigten Wasserballtor ins Becken fiel und unter Wasser im Netz gefangen war. Zum Glück konnte es
sich rechtzeitig mit Hilfe von Badegästen befreien. Es gibt ausreichend Liegen, die allerdings nur am Pool
kostenlos sind, aber nicht auf der (übrigens sehr schönen) Liegewiese, und auch nicht am Strand.
Wobei der Strand auch wegen dem aufgeschütteten staubigen und schmutzigen Bruchsand nicht sehr einladend ist.
Mit sauberen und nichtstaubenden Meeressand aufzuschütten hätte sich nicht viel mehr gekostet

Die Lage des Hotels ist günstig, aber....

Ich habe das Hotel für drei gute Freunde für 10 Tage im Juli gebucht.
Obwohl ich das Hotel mit Bungalow bereits im März gebucht habe, war bei Ankunft kein Bungalow frei.

Belle camere moderne. Pulizia ottima.

Unico neo: si paga qualsiasi cosa extra, e molto caro (wifi, cassaforte, colaz ecc)

Good hotel for a windsurfing trip

Excellent hotel for a windsurfing trip. Very clean rooms, good food (though nothing exceptional, very low variety of fish/seafood, if you prefer high standard restaurant food - this hotel is not for you), nice green territory. Good value for money, escpecially if you come to windsurf nearby.

Bra hotell,.. vært der nå 5 ganger,..trygt og godt ,..finfint for avslapping .
Veldig bra frokost ,..litt ensformet middag ,..lite men koselig nærmiljø,..
10 min gange og 20 min med buss så er du i selve Rhodos by ,..helt hærlig
( føler meg nesten hjemme på hotellet og har mange gode venner på plassen )
Dette hotellet anbefales for barnefamilier og de som vil ha en rolig ferie i fine omgivelser .
