The staff was great. When we checked in the clerk was very helpful. She told us that room 116 had to be aired out because the former guest had to be asked to leave because he was using a deep fryer in the room and it was a fire hazzard and was stinking up the whole hotel. In that same room Timothy Leonard moved the bed to plug his phone in and discovered that some one had thrown up and it had not been cleaned under the bed. we could not phone the front desk becoase none of the phones in the rooms worked. In room 110 there was no hair dryer,coffee pot or enough towels for four guest. Our third room was not occupied until thursday night, The staff siad that the rooms would be deep cleaned on Thursday, they were partilly cleaned the beds were not completely made and we still did not have enough towels in our rooms.

Room dirty. Surface area clean, but when had to pull out table to plug charger up, dust, hair, and crud. Went for the pool for the kids to play. A worker had her family and grandkids there swiming. She had a pinic set at a tabke next to the pool. And keep yelling at my boys for splasing, cause she didnt want to get wet. I didnt want to wet either thats why i moved my chair away from pool. He grown kids were high and were fighting in front of everyone. Rif raft hangin around out side all hours of the night. Did not feel safe at all. Banging and noise all night. Not worth the price we paid to stay there.

If I would have known then , what I now know about this hotel. I would have kept driving! The only thing I would rate more than 1 star is the staff. The room looked like they hired someone off the street to do the repair work. The continental breakfast was a joke, 2 pieces of bread (they looked stale), cereal,juice and coffee. That was about what the breakfast consisted of.

We tried to stay but could not. I can get past run down but dirty no way. The first room when we open the door the floor was all sticky with a large sticky spot at the door. Went down to the desk told them he came up with me said the Maintenace man was working in that room and must have made a mess. Gave us another room it was better but dirty. thought we could overlook went and got something to eat. Stop by the pool it was dirty with stuff floating in water. came back pulled down the sheets were stained and paw prints all over the bed. packed up checked out went down the road to Holiday Inn Express. Very nice just 5 minutes down the road in Festus MO.

When checking in given a room not clean, sheets had not been changed, mirror and sink dirty, and substance spilled on the counter and dripping on the floor.
Front staff notified and didn't believe. Took 20 minutes to get a different room. No compensation given.

There was a huge slippery spot in the parking lot. 2 of my kids fell more then once well we were there. It wasnt even raining. When they got up they smelled like oil. The bathroom is so small you barely have room to move around. We didn't even stay the 2 nights we paid for. We left Saturday evening.

I booked because I wanted a hot tub and it was out of service the bedroom ceiling had lots of big water spots on it.
The water in the bathroom tub was a running streaming water all night. Breakfast You got a waffle with butter and syrup. Orange juice apple juice cereal bread and coffee that was it.

Hello I know this is a a lower end hotel, I chose it be used I only needed to stay for one night. But the room was terrible. Poorly patched up holes in the walls made the room look dirty, bottom of the bathtub was stained yellow and brown, so I did not use it. And I found an “adult toy” sticking out from under the mattress, which makes me think sheets were not changed. Also the metal safety latch was removed so extra door security was not possible, which was disappointing considering I was staying alone. Left very early.

Friendly housekeeper! Spacious room!

The people were super nice! I was having car problems and needed somewhere to stay for couple of days.Staff was very friendly! the room is spacious and was exactly what I needed for some rest. It was however not the cleanest. It was visibly dirty on the tables and shower drain was clogged with hair. I cleaned it out Pryor to showering. There were clean towels and soap was available. My first day was over all pretty good.

Second afternoon, housekeeping was great however front desk not so friendly. When I walked through to leave to go do laundry I waved, said hi, paused and the. Person behind the desk just gave me a very odd look like I was disturbing her. I have not made it back yet, I hope she's in a better mood when I return. Or possibly someone different is there.

The property was closed down by the city of Pevely due to some disgusting conditions; cockroaches, bed bugs, dirty, unsanitary. We were there to check in at 11:00 at night and no one was there. Police officer told us the reason for the closure. We were unable to find another available room anywhere in the area due to storms, power outages, delayed airline flights, and the fact it was a holiday weekend. We had to cancel our plans and return home.

Property closed down day before my stop. No one contacted me. Expedia agents were not available to help me find another hotel. I was told an agent would be available in 15 min and gave up after more than 30. I waited an hour on hold the second time but by then (2 hours after finding the hotel was closed), numerous calls and 2 checks I was able to find a room myself.

Avoid at all costs. Pay the extra 15-30 and stay elsewhere. Rooms are dirty, breakfast is terrible, and everything's broke. Put us in the wrong room because they can't advertise appropriately. I'd like a refund just for having to stay there.

Booked king smoking two nights. No available room upon check in. Was given double smoking for one night and told they would love us the next night. The next morning we were told housekeeping would show up close to 11 with a new key for the new room. By noon I had no contact from them so I went down to the desk. I was told there was nothing they could do. Finally my significant other was able to get a room change. The initial room we had was not clean, we have video of a roach, no swing lock in the door. The deadbolt on the door was locked when we went to sleep and unlocked when we woke up. The new room was in the same condition. Horrible stay, unfriendly staff who appeared to not know what was going on. Pure frustration all around. You should be ashamed to have this hotel on your list of properties that you offer.

The room was interesting. The bed did not have a fitted sheet, only a flat sheet on top of the mattress so that if you moved it would come completely off. There were no extra blankets in the room and by the time we went to ask for them, the front attendant said the supply closet was locked. There was also no sound proofing from the outside hallway so we could hear every conversation that walked by.

It was easy to get to but next to a truck stop. I would say it was a lot lizzatds paridise. Our room was not clean. We got a room with a jetted tub that we didnt use because it was visably dirty. Most of the furniture in our room was damaged in some form or another. The walls also had damage. We had to go ask for towels because there werent any in our room. If we could have cancelled the room while there and got our money back we would have. Just know better for ne t time \" there wont be a next time\".

There is no working hot tub. The rooms and facilities are in bad shape. Cracked ceilings, mismatched toilet seat, loose floor tiles, loose to holding falling out of the wall, not very clean. Be careful if you stay here, not a very nice place. Staff said the owner doesn’t care and will charge you $45 if you try to change hotels!

The staff was just fine; however, the entire building needs maintenance. Also, evidently the manager does not see the necessity of maintaining a working generator so on Saturday, the 15th, no power at all and unable to check out correctly, couldn’t take a shower, had to dress in the dark. I am willing to pay for the first two nights but NOT the third night. A working generator would have solved that problem.

Lot of homeless an vagrants around property begging for money and help making us feel uncomfortable. Parking lot had a lot of used needles and broken glass along with garbage in areas where we were supposed to park; we parked at the truck stop next store and walked to the hotel because we had no other options this late in the day.
Once at the hotel we only had interaction with one employee and she was actually kind of rude and standoffish and kind of mean to other customers prior to our check in. She wasn't mean to us per say but she was rude.
Then there was the property inside. Most hotels when under going renovations cover those with plastics sheets so customers don's see the mess, but they were right in our face and it really made the place look run down and out of date. The floors and walls looked dirty and unkept. The pool was dirty and disgusting with dirt all over the floor and long black hairs floating in the water; we were afraid to use it. we had little black bug running around our bathroom (well only 2) but it was weird. There was a lot of noise and we had multiple times people knocked on our door for no reason.
We will not be staying in THAT location EVER again and it will be a while before we choose and Super8 as our option. Tonight we are in Hampton Inn and much more pleased with our choice.
I hope you take this review serious and take some of these critiques into consideration moving forward with property upkeep.

This place was nothing like the pictures advertised. It smell like an old tavern. The floors were coming up, the blanket on the bed had cigarette burns and hair and worst of all there were roaches! I got there late and night and was so thankful I brought my own cover. When I woke roaches were greeting me at sink! I hurried to leave. The only good thing was the nice lady at the desk that night. HORRIBLE - FILTHY HOTEL

This hotel is inhabitable. My room was roach infested, had a hole in the wall. The bathroom was filthy. I did not even stay as a roach crawled over me while I tried to sleep. The condition of this room was absolutely terrible. If we could have found another room available elsewhere we would have left immediately. The minute we opened the door we were overwhelmed with a bleach smell to the point of barely being able to breath. We were struck with total disrepair in the room from missing parts of furniture to wall scuffs with what appeared to be blood splatter. The bathroom toilet seat was broken and there was a hole in the wall where the toilet paper holder was once at. There were cobwebs along the wall and spiders in the corners. The bed covers had filthy stains all over them and cigarette holes in them. For a Supposedly non smoking room you could tell that smokers were present by the cigarette butts behind the mattress with a collection of other trash that’s been there for who knows how long.
Dog hair all over the floor … it would seem by the filth and smell that instead of cleaning these rooms, they are just heavily sprayed with disinfectant between occupants.
As a minor side note the tv service was unavailable which was a minor inconvenience compared to these other issues.
Hands down the most unkept and filthy hotel room my husband and I have ever stayed in and we frequent Hotel 8 at other locations often. Please see photos attached for reference.

This place is DISGUSTING. We knew it would be bad, because it’s Super 8 - but this blew us out of the water. There were used toiletries strewn across the room, the fire detector was held up by electrical tape yet still dangling from the ceiling, there was blood on the bathroom walls, white fluid stains (I can only imagine) on the bed skirt, the toilet paper holder was hanging out of the wall, black mold on the ceiling. We walked into the room and walked right back out.

When we went to the front desk and told them that it was disgusting and we would not stay the attendant said “Okay, no problem” and walked off. Never offered any other room or refund, or anything.

It was so bad - I truly can’t imagine how they are allowed to operate. We will be sending pictures to the corporate office for Super 8. Sad we lost $100 to this business but I’d rather sleep on the shoulder of highway 55 than in that room.

Check-in was fine the lobby was OK the staff were friendly enough. When I went into the room I noticed that the floor laminate was buckling off of the floor by the air conditioner. There were fuzz balls on the floor, A spider had taken up residence behind the bathroom door. I could’ve lived with all of that but when I turned the covers back there was someone’s hair not just one strand but several strands ( like a lot) inside the bed and on the pillowcases. I knew the bed had not been changed. I wish I had taken pictures.

The ONLY positive thing about this hotel was the gentleman checking us in. Other than that, I give the building a 1 out 5. Booked this place specifically because it had a jacuzzi suite. Was told AFTER we checked in that the knob was broke on the tub. Was placed in another room with no offer to discount our stay. Bathroom smelled like raw sewage. Tile was buckled behind toilet. Problem with TV. Fitted sheet was WAY too small for bed. Mattress pad was stained. Although the Breakfast taste good, it had no source of protein (meat, egg, etc). Worker seemed put out when we asked for a plate. Others there had to ask for coffee and juice to be refilled while he sat staring at the computer. I’ve stayed at much cheaper hotels that were much cleaner!

A moldy adventure

The clerk at the desk was friendly and accommodating. The room however smelled of mold and there were signs of water damage in the room. Water spots and stains above the bed and pieces of the floor were popped up and chunks were missing where the air conditioner leaked previously. The sink had a huge brown stain and looked unclean. One of the white towels was grayish and looked dingy. There were scrapes in the wall and a hole in the drywall where a chair was shoved into the corner and not repaired. The mini fridge was missing a cover for the freezer compartment and needed to be defrosted. The only reason I didn’t complain was because I was traveling with rescue animals and didn’t want to have to move them and it was only overnight.

This hotel was very dirty. Friendly staff, but just not worth the pay. Our room reeked of must, there were holes and rust everywhere. Room just appeared very dirty. This hotel allows pets, which is amazing, if you keep up with the cleaning. Stairs and elevator reeked of pee. There was no bolt on the door to ensure the door would be locked. Breakfast was under cooked and overall just very limited. In the end, the hotel is definitely not one I would ever recommend. I travel a lot, so I’ve seen many hotels… this is by far one of the worst.

The bathroom was filthy. The tub was dirty and had a ring around it the shower head was hand held and would not attach anywhere so you just had to hold it. The towels hanging on the rack next to sink were dirty and had been used and then tossed back on the rack. There were cigarette burn holes all over the bed spread, the TV did not work. It was disgusting. We cancelled the second night, and only spent our sleep time there. I would not go back there ever again.

Other people were beside themselves and were complaining. Towels had hair on them and floors had dog food, walls and stuff on them, windows you could barely see out of. I could go on and on. Do not stay here.

Very very dirty! The bathroom was terrible! Our toilet set wasn't even attached to the toilet(they did have maintenance come the next day to put it on). There were stains on the pillow cases, the blankets, the towels. The room smelled like smoke and was suppose to be nonsmoking. Cigarette butt stains everywhere, so it was a smoking room. Only positive was the staff was very friendly and tried to help.

This was the most unpleasant stay ever, drug deals going on everywhere, I could have made multiple drug busts just on our floor. The crackheads were everywhere. The whole thing was so overwhelming !

The only good thing about this motel was the Front Desk Clerk who checked us in, very friendly and accommodating to us and few other employees were friendly. The continental breakfast was good. But the property was not very clean, room was in need of repairs, no housekeeping services. A homeless man sat out front the whole weekend we were there. People living there it looked like. Just didn't seem very safe.

The pool looked ok. The hot tub was closed. The motel looked like it needed to be closed for remodeling. Floors cracked, plastic baseboards peeling off the wall, cigarette burns from years ago still there, cealing in bathroom peeling and not pleasant on the eyes. I think the sheets were clean but so old some stains remained. It was ok to sleep but I did not shower (visually not appealing at all) or spend any other time in the room.

Walked into our room and to start, the light would not stay on. Turned it on, it would flicker off. Did this continuously. We just gave up and used lamp. It looked clean “enough” at first glance. Was not clean. My daughter went to use the bathroom and the door locked shut. She was stuck in the bathroom for about 5 minutes while her Dad pryed the door open with a credit card. Next door to our room there was a man with his television so loud, it could be heard 2 rooms down. He also had 2 barking dogs (was supposed to be no pets in these particular rooms). We were staying 2 nights, so I unpacked all of our things. About 11:30pm, we went to turn the a/c up and discovered it was leaking and there was water all over the floor, already reaching about 3 feet from the wall. My husband went to the front desk and they eventually switched us to a different room. Which we had to repack all of our things and move floors. Keep in mind that this is midnight and we had to be up in just a few short hours for a softball tournament. We were finally situated in the room around 12:30am. We were awakened around 5:40am with a man in our hall area several rooms down screaming out continuously. This went on until we eventually left the room at 7:30am.

Room at first glance seemed clean enough. It was not clean. Fixtures were broken, spider webs, gnats, dusty surfaces & floor stained bedding.

A young lady name Dannie was the only positive thing I can say about this hotel.

Go elsewhere! Drug and prostitution activities!!

Our room was gross... stains on the comforter, the mattress and the boxspring. The room wasn't fully cleaned and looked nothing like other rooms while passing by \"housekeepings\" cleaning sweeps of the rooms. Whole property reaks of drugs, even most guests look questionable.

Stuck in a spot

My stay was due to a vehicle breakdown waiting for tow home. This hotel is exactly as it has a bed(pretty comfortable) tv, shower(hot shower), little fridge, ac(which is nice and cold). For me at that moment was all i needed. Now for a review it needs quite a bit of work. Flooring in my room was coming up off the floor, it needs a good cleaning, some repairs. I saw one room that didnt even have a handle or lock. 3 people had come knocking on my door looking for who must have been a long term room at one point. The only thing that really got to me was after i checked out and was heading out, walking down the tile hall they had been spraying something like pinesol for odors. It had gotten on the floor. I slipped and fell. I got up called attention to the person with the sprayer, asking to put a wet floor sign there or something. As i had just fallen. And i got blown off. I really hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.

The entire hotel was dirty. Our room was not as bad as the rest of the hotel. Water in the pool was so cloudy that you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool. Hotel had a terrible smell.

I reserved a king size room and when I arrived that evening I was given a queen size bed that had fridge or towels. This was about midnight and I was exhausted so I just went to bed. The next morning I went to the desk to ask for a slight refund (since kings are normally more than queen) and they told me they could not do that, but could move me to a king size bed. That afternoon I was moved and that room had missing tile in the bathroom, the TV did not work and this room only had one towel, and there were two of us. Bottom line I will not be staying here again. Their lack of caring to fix the situation, and the lack of cleanliness was not worth the 200 dollars to stay there.

Staff were hard to track down. Needed towels and we were told they would bring them when they were out of the dryer. None were delivered when we got back. The hall was very noisy all night long, beds were very uncomfortable. Shower leaked and bathroom door handle cut you every time if you werent careful.

The room was not very clean. The flooring was peeling up in multiple spots. The floor needed mopped and swept. The elevator was filthy and the hotel smelled of smoke. Overall, the hotel was in very poor condition. I was not expecting it to be in the condition it was in. The staff was friendly at check in and out!

One end of the property doors were not locked protected. There was a young gentlemen named Johnny he was very helpful and polite. He went out of his way to please the customer. He seemed to be the only one I noticed was working. This person needs a raise for sure. My husband and I stayed at this facility May 19-20, checked out May 21.

Would not recommend staying here. Especially if you have children or are traveling solo. Lobby was messy and smelt like weed. When we stepped off the elevator it smelt like cigarettes and mildew. The room smelt the same. The room has visible water damage to the ceiling which is cracked. The bathroom floor and shower were visibility dirty. Difficult to sleep because 3 dogs were barking in surrounding rooms as well as people talking loudly throughout the night. Dirty hand prints on the wall.

Wouldn’t stay again!!

The staff was extremely nice and helped me out when some how my reservation got cancelled. But hotel itself was dirty and the rooms were disgusting. Some questionable people staying there. TV in my room didn’t work, bathroom was filthy. Need new bedding, I could keep going. Whoever is reading this, I’m sure gets it…
