Too many wasps meant it was impossible to enjoy the terrace. The number of wasps buzzing round at breakfast was only exceeded by the number of hotel guests buzzing round the coffee machine (seriously the queues at breakfast were awful).
Really disappointed given the amount I paid for the rooms.

A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an absolutely breathtaking view over the Bodensee. Staff was all very friendly, though despite us speaking German and English, at times there were some language-based communication challenges with restaurant staff that could be improved. Our family also very much liked the breakfast buffet.

It was super easy to grab a bus at a nearby bus stop to head down into town and enjoy the promenade.

If there would be two things I'd love to see improve, it would be dedicated smoking / non-smoking sections for the restaurant's terrace. Like us, I noticed several other guests being disturbed by other guests smoking and taking away from what is otherwise a great outside breakfast and dining experience.
The second thing, which I recognize will not be easy and certainly isn't a fault of the hotel / staff, would be to find a way to keep wasps at bay. There were plenty of wasps disturbing guests--including our kids--and it also took away from the experience while eating on the terrace.

This was our first stay here and surely not our last--we look forward to coming back to this property!

Disappointing service

Excellent view of the mountains. Otherwise this hotel is OK but not great. Christmas dinner service was substandard. Drinks very late, salad wilted. Rooms overheated. Worst: They charged us twice for the Christmas dinner and overcharged the already generous tip too. I luckily noticed all this during checkout. The entire service experience felt amateurish and dilettante.

The hotel itself is located slightly outside of the old town of Überlingen. The checkin process took longer than expected as the staff member was not very familiar with the registration system. Apparently there is a tax foreigners must pay if they are staying as tourists. The staff member put one of us down as a tourist and the other as a business traveller and then asked us both to pay the tax. Over all it just didn't feel very welcoming.

To access our rooms (east wing) we had to walk all the way to the back of the hotel, through the bar, the restaurant, the pool and the spa, and at the end the staff member gave us the wrong floor.

The rooms feel quite dated, but I guess this is exactly what regular guests (mostly retirees) feel most at home in.

The breakfast in the morning was probably the highlight, you can sit out on the balcony overlooking the Bodensee.

Lovely Position Above Lake Constance

We really enjoyed our night here and would return. Our room had a view of the lake and although the weather was not at it’s best it was still beautiful. The bed very very comfortable with good quality linen and the bathroom spacious with a bath a shower. We used the inside pool which was enjoyable and the outside terrace was perfect the following morning for breakfast. The choice was excellent and well laid out. A great stay and we would love to return.

It was very good, views across the lake were exceptional but it is a good 20 minutes walk to the centre of town. We drove the car into town and parked in a multi story car park which only cost 1 euro.

Denied Christmas dinner and meal

The staff was friendly. The room was large and clean. The food was good. But, the hotel denied dinner to us the night of Christmas eve and for this I will never forget this experience and will never return to your premises. Telling us that there were no space available two nigtalhs before Xmas, knowing that it was going to be impossible to find another place is a plane and simple lack of respect and consideration. I wish that your stiff and difficult to comprehend behavoir will not pass unnoticed to anybody else considering a stay in your hotel. To hotel.com, i wish that you make a better selection of the placea that you recommend.

Outdated hotel without proper Internet service

The hotel has only intermitent Internet service which makes it absolutely an avoid property if you need to work or require wifi (the hotel says Uberlingen does not has an optic fiber cable -something I find ludicrous since other hotels in the area offer good service). The hotel computers are in desrepair and thus cannot be used.

This is the second time I have used the Parkhotel as an overnight stop whilst on business. It is a very relaxing and pleasant place to stay, especially after several hours in the car. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the hotel itself nicely appointed and comfortable. The food is very good and not unreasonably priced.

This hotel is situated high on a hill above lake konstanz, and so gives the most breath taking views to wake up to. Only downside is having to take a 7 euro taxi down to the lake, but worth it. Great hotel staff.

Pleasant hotel with Great Views

Great views from the hotel on top of the hill above Überlingen but far from all of the rest of the action in the old town. Very quiet. Bike rental available in the hotel was very convenient. Restaurant is good but nothing spectacular. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. No AC in our room. Guests were mostly older Germans on holiday. We loved it and will likely return. If you want to hang out with the trendy young swells, it may not be for you.

A Lovely Spot for R&R

A wonderfully relaxing respite from the Hustle and Bustle of city life! The view of the Boden See was spectacular, and the spa was an added plus. Don't miss the Panorama Sauna (with steam room). And the pool was quite nice as well. Glad to recommend this lovely place, and hope to return myself in the not-too-distant future!

Beautiful view

This was great value for money with a beautiful view from our balcony over the lake. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good if you get in early before the croissants are gone. We ate the first night in the restaurant overlooking the lake. The food was very good when we got it. The waiter was new and was slow to take our drinks and food order. When asked for extra gravy, he forgot to bring it so I had to get it myself. Apart from this, it was a good place to stay so would go back.

Perfect hideaway -

We had a wonderful stay at St. Leonhard. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bathroom was large as well. We had a balcony overlooking the garden. Had been looking for a hotel on the lake, but couldn't find one. So that was the ONLY drawback. But we did find it was easy to get to everything we wanted to see. We would definitely stay there again.

Not the fanciest 4 star we have seen, but cozy and friendly atmosphere, and nice staff. Surrounding hills and woods are nice for an easy hike. Not too crowded in the pool and saunas, but there is a risk that some visitors occupy the beds etc. when not using them (suspect this is a German way of doing wellness). Massage was first sold out (suggest to book early!), but the staff went the extra mile to find someone to give us some massage.

I had multiple bad customer service experiences at this hotel: (1) they couldn't find my Hotels.com listing, and only after rechecking their system did they say they weren't notified of the booking; (2) they said we had air conditioning in our room, but then later claimed that all rooms with balconies have no air conditioning (um, what?); (3) they asked us to pay an additional 95 Euros for a room with air conditioning (which by the way was a necessity, temperatures were 30+ Celsius that day and the room was like a sauna)..when we asked why 95 Euros, they said a room with A/C costs 50 Euros more and that because the only rooms they had with A/C were lake view rooms we needed to upgrade to the lakeview room for another 45 Euros. Even though it was late at night and nobody could see the lake view we were paying more money for

Beautiful Hotel/Resort above Lake Constance with spectacular views of the lake from lake-view rooms, open terrace and restaurants.
Very friendly staff.
Some of the outdoor public areas could use a fresh coat of paint.
With a few outdoor heaters one could extend the times to dine al fresco on the beautiful terrace when the evenings are getting chilly.

We had booked a lake view room and had a pleasant surprise when we realised it had a balcony as well. The view is just lovely from the rooms. If you get the older rooms (as we did ) they are slightly dated , but still very clean and very well maintained and the view more than made up for this. Breakfast was a excellent , as were all the staff who were very friendly and well trained. Pool and sauna facilities also excellent. A free bus takes you easily down to centre and train station.

Booked at last minute and therefore did not have a prime view of the lake. We requested a different room and though it was not available our first night, the staff moved us to one of the best rooms, with a stunning view, the second night. On the second night (and 10 days into our trip to Europe) we returned to the hotel tired and wanting an American cheeseburger. Although that was not available, the kitchen prepared us a type of club sandwich with french fries that was very satisfying.

We would rate this a 4 star hotel. Pros: very friendly staff, clean, great breakfast. Cons: no wireless Internet in our room, no help with bags, location is a drive into town. Upon arrival, we were given a bus pass to get into town. The bus ride is 15 minutes or you could drive and pay for parking in one of the many garages near old town. Room decor was contemporary, with a lovely marble bathroom. There is a spa, but we did not use it.

Nice hotel but a long way to the room

We had an enjoyable overnight stop here. Walking distance to the town and there's a free shuttle bs if you don't fancy walking back. The swimming pool was nice and we were the only ones in it. The town was worth a visit just to relax by the lake and enjoy some local food. The only niggle was the long complicated trek to our room which when you have a lot of luggage can be cumbersome. Don't get a country view room if you want to avoid the walk.

We stayed here for a few days of relaxation on Lake Konstanz (Bodensee). The hotel sits at the top of a hill next to an orthpaedic hospital. It is very big, and it is a long walk from the east wing to the main reception area, restaurant and swimming pool. It is more of a business hotel than tourist hotel. It seemed that the staff was always changing, as well. Wifi signal was okay but a bit weak in the rooms. Bathroom is a bit small. Fantastic views of the lake from the balcony. Breakfast was just average, with items running out fairly early. There is abundant parking, but we found it more convenient to take the local bus (complimentary for hotel guests) into the City of Ueberlingen and down to the lake. The hotel also rents 4 speed bicycles and E-Bikes, and there are great paths to use them on.

It was a very nice hotel overlooking Lake Konstanz. The hotel had many amenities- renting bikes, indoor pool, restaurants, etc. great family hotel. Front desk staff were very accommodating. The room price included a great breakfast buffet with a great view from restaurant. They had a wonderful outdoor patio from restaurant but horrible weather prevented us from utilizing it. It was very difficult to find & were very grateful for our GPS.

The staff are efficient and friendly and the Hotel is lovely .

The terrace area is a lovely place in which to sit eat and drink while absorbing some rays and observing the lake .

The food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced , while breakfast is well provided for at the buffet .

Rooms are clean modern and well up to standard .

Ideally you need a car for this hotel and it does have free parking .

For good or bad weather!!

My family and I wanted to get away and see some of Germany's beautiful sights and the Bodensee/Uberlinger area is superb. This quality hotel made it an even better event as the weather during our visit was harsh yet the hotel faciliites (spa, pool, restaurant) made time spent at the hotel a joy. Highly recommend this hotel; EVERYONE on the staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms more spacious than most hotels I've stayed in throughout Europe. We will return to this hotel.

Everything about the hotel from the friendly welcome at reception to the service in the dining room that has great views across the lake met our expectations. The room was large and the beds comfortable. Call me old fashioned but two single mattresses in one bed frame with individual quilts does not constitute the double bed I booked. We encountered this elsewhere in Germany so perhaps it's the custom. We were in the 'West Wing' which is quite 'minimalist' but the view across the lake more than compensated and if the opportunity occurs we would return without hesitation. There's a regular bus service into town where parking could be a problem and the town has a large number of restaurants but we ate in the hotel each night of our three night stay and on each occasion service was excellent and the food was good. It's worth noting that unlike in France the service charge is not added to your bill.

Excellent. Food well presented and very good - especially pleased they provided a choice of ordering small portions.
A car is really essential as hotel situated some distance from lake and up much higher than lake level therefore difficult for elderly or disabled to about,without a car. There is also a bit of a parking problem in the town area.

Despite this we had an extremely enjoyable visit and would use this hotel on future visits to Kake Constance

Great facilities - lovely rooms (try to get one with balcony view over the lake) - seriously good food, breakfast buffet good but evening meals were excellent - all staff very friendly and helpful, even those that didnt speak English so well, barman was very entertaining and is happy to help you with Schnapps choices! The hotel is easy to find just off the main road to Friedrichshafen and is set in a quiet residential area. the only slight downside is that it is a 30min walk into Uberlingen which is a nice quiet little town with lots to do during the day but it is very easy to get a Bus back from the town centre - the hotel will provide a bust timetable and a walking map. would definitely stay here again!!

On the hill

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel one if our nights while touring Germany it was very clean. It was a fair walk from the lake about an hour and its all uphill but busses run every 30 mins to the hotel and the cabs are cheap as well. The pool was nice, never did any of the spa. The breakfast was good buffet style. We had a suite over looking the the lake, the view was very nice. It was good to sit out on the balcony at the end of the day and look out over the lake and there's a beach at the bottem of the hill where you can rent canoes and go windsurfing.

Spacious room, nice amenities, gorgeous views. Although not exactly on the water, very cheap to rent bicycles to get downtown, or a 25 min walk down the hill. Staff was very friendly. The only real negative is I think the indoor pool should have better ventilation.

Ruhiges Zimmer mit Gartenblick, und seitlichem Seeblick. Betten waren gut. Das Bad ist leider Renovierungsbedürftig. Das Essen im Restaurant war Hervorragend und empfehlenswert. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut. Personal sehr freundlich. Den Innenpool würde eine Modernisierung aufwerten. Waren sehr zufrieden. Danke.

Cher pour ce que c’est

Obligé de prendre un surclassement de chambre car je voyage avec mon chien et qu’ils n’avaient plus d’autre chambre possible avec mon chien. 200€ en plus à rajouter pour deux nuits cela fait beaucoup… si vous surclassez les gens car vous n’avez plus de chambre classique avec chien, ne les faites pas payer !! Et surtout pas aussi cher !!
De plus, pour une suite à 500€ la nuit, je n’ai jamais eu des lits aussi durs !
La piscine est froide et pleine comme la piscine municipale
Le seul point positif est la vue sur le lac
