The room and hotel are beautiful.
The breakfast was fantastic.
Unfortunately the after hours door code is not digital and we only took our room key. After dinner we could not get back in the building because we forgot the piece of paper that had door code written down. We had to WhatsApp call an after hours number and the owner came and let us in. He was not too happy about that but I would say sync up your door keys and door codes.

A really lovely Corsican hotel on the hillside above Bastia. We were only passing through for the ferry transfer to Livorno, but this hotel deserved a longer stay. Nice views, excellent service throughout, and first rate facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pietracap. The breakfast had a good range of options and the dinners were delicious. The hotel was in an easy location for a quick drive into Bastia. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ocean view from the room was stunning. We also loved the water fountain in the lobby for our water bottles. It was so convenient. The only things we didn't enjoy were the overly firm mattress and STRONG room perfume.

We sat by the pool most of the day with staff so wonderfully attentive the place is an oasis.the hotel has a 5 star attitude and we knew we have picked just the right place to spend a few days to unwind. The food is exceptional

I love this hotel. I recommended the hotel to family and friends. There was a little issue around checkout. Communication could have been clearer. It took a bit of back and forth to resolve an issue around breakfast. Close to 800 Canadian was spent on a room for two nights. The thought was breakfast was included in the cost. When checking out nothing was mentioned about extra breakfast charges and taxes. Only afterwards, when the premises were vacated, was an email sent asking for payment of an additional 60 euros for breakfast. It was a little awkward but in the end resolved. Aside from this glitch, a very nice hotel with a very pleasant owner. A great family owned hotel in Corsica. Our Canadian family will not hesitate to go back.

The view of the ocean and the island of Elba was outstanding. Staff were very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants, things to do, etc Breakfast was quite good. The road the hotel is located on is hardly walkable (narrow, traffic), so a car is a necessity.

Way overpriced & NO MINIBAR!

Good overall but not worth the price. Silent air con ruined by bright light from control panel all night. Ditto red TV light. No duvet on bed (only a sheet). Shampoo/body wash chemical-based. Much smaller room than hotel photos suggest. Promised minibar not present. When complained, was assured there was a fridge in the room - not true - there wasn't :-(. Room lighting good but strange odour from bedding. Impossibly slow Wi-Fi (under 2MB/sec). Upload virtually nonexistent. Won't be staying again.

This is a gem of a hotel. The breakfast was very good and the views from the breakfast room terrace simply stunning as were the views from the bedroom. Each bedroom has a lovely terrace.
The only drawback was that the road up was dangerous and a taxi is a must but it was worth it.

Location was excellent Parking downtown Corte special. We liked the coffee machine and could start the day with coffee crossants at thé boulangerie and we had a good start.
The room was tasteful, but had an ikea feel to it. Alain was very friendly. We had a very good experience

Quiet, pleasant, immaculate hotel in a quiet location but still just a few minutes drive from town. Terrific pool. Beach access is a drive. Only complaint is that I'd like better soap/shampoo/conditioner provisions.

Restful Stop After the Ferry from Livorno

This was a quick overnight after the ferry trip from Livorno to Bastia. The lady at at the desk was very helpful in recommending a nearby pizzeria which had a good selection of pasta and other dishes. The garden at this hotel is spectacular, and my room looked out over it--with a glimpse of the sea beyond.

Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean!

Me and my sister loved this hotel! It is so so clean and in a beautiful location! It is a bit out of town, but easy to walk in about 30 minutes. The only downside was a lack of restaurant, however, we went to the supermarket in the town and bought food back, so this wasn't an issue.

Nice hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean. The AC worked beautifully and with the shutters closed, there was no light or noise and I slept for over 11 hours one night.
The staff esp the lady in the afternoons was very nice and attentive with all the questions. Breakfast was OK too.
Parking was easy. The location of the hotel was the only part that I did not like esp for myself. It is not close to anything of note and if driving everywhere is ok for you, then it should be OK. I didnt want to drink and drive, so I had to take a taxi to Bastia for dinner and back.

Nice hotel in a quiet location

Nice and comfortable hotel located a short walk to the beach and shops. There is a short cut to the beach, but the hill is very steep. The hotel is well maintained and clean, but the decor needs a little updating.

THE HOTEL IS SMALL BUT LOVELY AND PEACEFUL A SHORT DRIVE FROM THE PORT. BREAKAST WAS GOOD AT 13 EUROS AND THE ROOM - ALTHOUGH SMALL WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH A MINIBAR AND COMFY BED..SERVICE IS LIMITED, WE DID NOT FIND ANYONE AT THE BAR. THE POOL IS PERFECT.

Good choice

This is a charming, well run small hotel which we would choose again if based around Bastia. It is only a few kilometers from the port but is not really practical unless you have a car. The rooms are pleasant with big picture windows and terraces. Bathrooms were clean & modern in style. Like a lot of hotels on Corsica there are no tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms but the staff will bring hot water & cups to the room (we bought tea bags!). All in all a pleasant stay.

close to Bastia, but quite area

We stayed in hotel Pietracap for 4 nights and quite liked it, as it was quite, nicely located in beautiful garden and easy drive to Bastia for dinning. This was the last part of our visit to Corsica and it was convinient location to explore Cap Corse. However I would advise to have a car if you plan to stay in this hotel, there are no restaurants or cafes in walking distance. The room was clean and spacious, but the closet did not have any shelves and there were no safe in the room. Breakfast was not included and we found it overpriced. Nice swimming pool.

A nice place to stay

Very friendly staff throughout and the place is very quiet and well kept.The interior and the colour coordination remind at times of the 70-80th, but everything is in excellent and clean condition.The garden is well shaded and quiet, but the pool was somewhat cold.We declined the breakfast for an extra 16 Euro pp was we had to go to the airport in the morning and stopped by an excellent bakery just next to the dual carriage way where we paid the same for a family of four. This is however a nice place and we would gladely have stayed longer if we would have had the time. Thank you !

clean room, good location, for a good price

We stayed at hotel pietracap on our second trip to Corsica (first time to the Bastia area) and would definitely stay in this hotel again. it was a good base for day trips around the cape and to St Florent, etc. and the price was very reasonable for a well-situated, nice hotel with good wifi access and lovely pool. our room was small and we could hear noises during the night (toilet flushing) but overall consider it a very good value for what we paid.

Well run boutique hotel

We arrived very late off the Corsican ferry and our GPS lead us a merry dance to the hotel. We twice phoned reception for help and were very impressed with the patience and kindness of the desk clerk. We had a comfortable night and although we did not like the shower over the bath we felt the hotel was excellent.

This hotel is located just north of the city of Bastia, and a car is needed. It is a modern facility in a quiet location, with great views of the sea and the nearby mountains. The room was comfortable and had a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the garden.

Excellent for night or two when passing through Bastia but would not choose this hotel for a longer holiday as it is very basic and needs badly updating.

Freundicher, kompetenter Empfang, rasche Abwicklung, sehr schönes Zimmer, sehr guter Service bei Wünschen, bemängeln muss ich aber, dass es beim Pool in der Lounge keine Kissen, Aufliegen gab (man sass sozusagen auf dem Geflecht). Dagegen ist die Gartenanlage und Pool sehr schön. Das Morgenbuffet ist sehr sehr gut. Mangelhaft sind nach unserem Geschmack aber die KREA-Kaffeemaschinen mit Kaffeequalität so so la la und mit Milch(pulver) zu Latte Macchiato, Cappucciono etc. Für ein 4-Sternehotel wären hier z.B. Lavazzageräte angebracht; den hervorragenden Lavazzokaffee gibt es zumindest in den Zimmern.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön am Berg in einem ruhigen Viertel nördlich der Innenstadt von Bastia.
Bis zur Place Saint Nicolas ist es zu Fuß eine gute halbe Stunde, zum alten Hafen noch etwas weiter. Die Strecke ist gut zu gehen und führt zum Teil oberhalb am Meer entlang. Ansonsten ist hier ein Auto nötig.
Einen ausreichend großen Parkplatz hat das Hotel.
Der Pool ist sehr schön und von vielen Bäume umgeben. Den Rest des Gartens fanden wir etwas dunkel.
Leider roch unser Zimmer muffig und um den Austritt der Klimaanlage waren dunkle Flecken. Wir baten um ein neues Zimmer und konnten am nächsten Tag wechseln. Zudem sahen wir, dass die Flecken an der Klimaanlage im alten Zimmer gereinigt waren. Darum ein Lob an die Rezeption für deren schnellen Service.
Wir frühstückten einmal im Hotel. Es gab ein ausreichendes Angebot, jedoch fanden wir die Speisen für 20 € zu teuer.

Hotel idéal pour un séjour en famille

L’hôtel est bien positionné par rapport au centre ville. Possibilité de garer sa voiture en extérieure. La chambre est grande. Vue sur le jardin. Climatisation la bienvenue en période de forte chaleur. Personnel très sympa. En revanche chambre mal insonorisée et petit déjeuner pas terrible pour un 4 étoiles.

Kamer 101 was alleen buitenom benaderbaar via de schuifpui.
Badkamer mooi design, maar helaas met drempel van 30cm. Hierover breek je in de nacht je nek omdat je dit vergeet.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Hotel. Nur das Restaurant läuft auf Sparflamme Anfang November. Man bekommt Frühstück oder Abendessen wenn man möchte, muss dies aber im Zimmer einnehmen. Da wir dies nicht wollten, waren wir auswärts essen.
Super ist die Wassertankstation für Trinkwasser.

Excellent hotel experience

The six day stay was really a fantastic experience. A relatively small hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and service. Very good high quality breakfast buffet. The outdoor poolside restaurant had an excellent setting under the pruned olive trees with superbly performing waiters. The meals were swiftly prepared on the grill by the chef. We highly recommend this hotel and would choose this again when in Bastia.

Das Hotel Pietracap liegt sehr ruhig etwa 3 Kilometer außerhalb der Altstadt von Bastia - zu Fuß benötigt man ca. 40 Minuten in die Altstadt. Mein Zimmer war ausreichend groß, sehr sauber und verfügte über alles was man so braucht - auch einen kleinen Kühlschrank gab es. Das Personal war soweit freundlich. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr vielfältig und hatte eine gute Qualität, war mit 20 EUR pro Tag aber auch teuer. Die Gartenanlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und der Pool richtig groß, allerdings ist der Garten quasi nicht nutzbar, da man von Tigermücken sofort verstochen wird.

Fomos muito bem recebidos neste hotel por uma recepcionista muito simpática e atenciosa. O quarto era limpo e confortável. Gostei particularmente da casa de banho espaçosa e do terraço com vista para a piscina. Ótimo pequeno almoço, estacionamento, proximidade ao centro de Bastia são várias características que tornam este hotel uma boa opção.

Sublime et accessible à pieds

L'endroit est fabuleux, propice à la reflexion, au repos, à l'imaginaire. Les chambres sont superbes, le parc et la piscine aussi. C'est calme et on vient pour ça.
Un petit bémol: nous avons trouvé étrange que l'on nous dise qu'il était quasi impossible de venir sans voiture ou taxi. Le Bus C et 6 amène à 10 minutes à pieds de l'hôtel
( arrêt Palacacciu). La personne de l'accueil ne connaissait pas le nom de l'arrêt et m'a dit que c'était beaucoup trop compliqué mais le bus passe toutes les 30 minutes toute l'année ( moins le dimanche).Certes, c'est plus simple en descente que pour y aller mais ça se fait.
Je trouve également que c'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas un coin bibliothèque avec des livres à emprunter. Le lieu se prête tellement à la lecture.
Je donne cet avis pour aider les non véhiculés car cet hôtel est avant tout un havre de paix dans un écrin sublime:)

tout était parfait, très bel hotel entièrement refait actuellement, la vue magnifique, le calme, et surtout la disponibilité et l'efficacité du personnel. Thomas à la réception est très disponible et prêt à se couper en 4 pour vous renseigner , mais encore plus François , ( le soir à la réception) efficace pour résoudre un problème de transport la nuit venue. En effet Thomas m'avait communiqué le matin de mon arrivée quelle société de taxi pour mon transfert du port vers l'hotel. Le soir à partir de 20 heures j'ai essayé de contacter cette société sans succès. Le répondeur me disait que la messagerie était pleine et qu'il fallait rappeler. Ce qui j'ai fait à plusieurs reprises. Vers 20.40 je décide d'appeler une autre compagnie de taxis, disponible jusqu'à 21 heures et le chauffeur me dit qu'il est à la maison et qu'il n'est plus disponible. je rappelle encore une fois la compagnie Bastiaise et toujours pas de réponse. De ce fait je rappelle l'hotel expliquant mon problème. Francois me dit de rester en ligne et qu'il va essayer......il le fait à plusieurs reprises et il a la même réponse que moi , messagerie complête et il faut rappeler. François me demande où je suis exactement et me dit qu'il va envoyer quelqu'un avec sa voiture ( une polo blanche). BRAVO, 5 minutes plus tard on vient me chercher. La personne qui me dépanne et qui travailles aussi à l'hotel refuse que je le paie. Merci de tout coeur et je recommande très vivement ce magnifique hotel. BRAVO et MERCI !
