We enjoyed ourselves the room was quaint. The shower rod in the bathroom was falling down, we asked them to fix it. They did but really the screw were stripped. It needs to be done properly.
The nightstands with the built in plugs are terrible, they don’t charge. The one on the floor didn’t work. So the only outlet was the bathroom. Those nightstands need to be looked at.

Room was good…air conditioning died late Saturday evening and woke up Sunday morning in a pool of sweat.

Went down and talked with the staff about it and while they were kind, they did not offer to compensate for the inconvenience.

First room had non-functional ac in 90+ heat. Went to dinner while it was worked on. Was notified during dinner that it couldn't be repaired and to expect a new room upon return. Eventually got a room but had to wait 10 minutes in heat although they knew we were coming back.

The staff member was mediocre at best in soothing the situation. I would have expected a manager to be aware and reach out. Didn't happen.

The property is in a great location. Plenty to do in the area without having to drive. Unfortunately the staff are less than helpful. We checked out at 11am. At 12 noon, we realized we left a bag hanging from the bathroom door. Called, staff said they wou look into it. Took down my number and address. Called them back a few hours later and they claim no one turned in a bag. Hello, the cleaning staff was going in this room before the next guest at 4pm and the receptionist could have called the cleaning staff to grab it for us. Nope, I guess the receptionist job description doesn't include taking any initiative.

A great place in the heart of Annapolis! It’s very historic and a great atmosphere. My only gripe was that the bathroom windows didn’t open which made the bathroom way too and humid after showering but other than that, it was great!

There were numerous communication issues between me and the staff and managers at one point our room got up to 77° and stayed like that for hours because there was no one on staffed correct the issue although we got the historic room fee waved. I don’t believe that the staff truly cared about our experience in the hotel as a whole considering that it was where we were staying to get married. I wrote an email to management at 8:30 AM and it has now been 12 hours and I have yet to get a phone call back nor an email back from anybody at this hotel. I’m extremely disappointed to say the least.

I arrived by myself on a rainy night carrying luggage that was too much for me to carry. My Uber dropped me off and although the valet looked straight at me and saw me struggling, he didn't offer to help. Instead, he walked down the steps ahead of me while I struggled to carry the bags down, he got to the door and held it open for me. Someone should train him to help a customer with bags, especially a woman, especially if she's struggling in the rain.
Then the front desk person checked me into my room and casually told me to walk to the Maryland Inn, with the aforementioned bags, and in the rain. I looked at her in disbelief and she just waived me off. From this point forward, the quality of my experience at the hotel was tainted. You can't treat customers this way and expect them to return.

Well, the Inn is centrally located but it needs work in several areas.

When we checked in, the valet said leave your bags in the car in case you are not staying here. So I went in but left my ID in the car and the desk told me to bring by ID and bags in to get registered. Which I did, and then was told to bring my bags back to the car and drive to another inn!

We drove to the other Inn (Maryland house) and found some 15 minute loading zone, and ultimately found an entrance on our third try. There is no handicapped entrance FYI.

Our room had charm, a window air conditioner that was adequate, and a coffee maker with 2 small bottles of water. The bathroom was so tiny, and the shower was the size of an old telephone booth. (My wife needed the shower cap because she could not avoid the shower head.)

Our room was made up very late each day, possibly at 3:00-4:00. The 2 small water bottles were never replaced. The TV was as low def as possible, could not read the score or see the puck, etc.

Anyway, centrally located, but they could improve.

The ends are in the perfect location for walkability. The staff was nice. I wish they’ve been more helpful in perhaps giving a hands-on tour of my specific inn, from how to get to it, which door to enter, and even where best to park.

I don’t think the stay was worth the cost.

The staff is very helpful and willing to serve for some odd reason in our room did not have a coffee machine, which is fine because there was a coffee shop across the street
There is no parking in the building. You have to park about two blocks away that is inconvenient, but you are in a tight historical neighborhood so it’s quite understandable. The rooms were a little musty and had dehumidifiers, but were clean. And the main office is in one building while there are three hotels and yours may not be where the office is, which might require a few blocks of walking for us. It was inconvenient because it was a rainy weekend, but they were nice enough to give me an umbrella.

Great location! Close to the Md Legislature building (a MUST to see). Close to restaurants but a little away from harbor. Very quiet. Valet worked great-- a must in that area. You can walk pretty much everywhere after you park.

We stayed for 5 days and experienced a rotation of Staff members while we were there. All of them were very pleasant and very helpful, which enhanced our stay. We stayed in the Robert Johnson Building and our room was in very good condition and very clean. We used Uber so we did not have a vehicle, and did not have any experience with valeting a vehicle or with parking. The grounds are very well kept, and we enjoyed the historical aspects of the buildings at this hotel set. The hotel is very conveniently located to downtown Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy, which is also an attraction point for staying here.

Valet parking only, had to remove bags before checking in and then finding out our room, in a building three blocks away, was not ready. Our bags were placed in a room behind the desk. Told that we would be texted when the room was ready, we walked around town for over an hour. No text so we returned and were told our room was ready. Grabbed a cart and loaded luggage for three-block hike.

The only thing that was not 100% amazing was the toilet in our room was small and short and so was the shower head. I am only 5’4” so there is no way my husband would have been able to use either at 6’2”…. Other than that it was such an incredible historic place with all the grandeur and old wonderful charm!

The only disappointment was the workout area. It was a five-minute walk away from the Inn in a separate building. Once I found the location my key card would not open the door to the building. Therefore, I never got to use the facility.

The room was very small. The elevator was not working. I am too old to be hauling bags up the stairs. Parking was $50 and Historical fee was another $53 dollars so it was more expensive that necessary. I would not stay there again.

Valet parking is available. I received a bottle of wine as a gift, wow! The room is spacious but dark, there is no window to the outdoors. The window overlooks a closed-in courtyard that looks as it serves as events (weddings?) venue.

There are definitely some nice features to staying at the historic inns property. There are also some of negatives.

The staff is very helpful and they come in a timely manner when needed. We were originally in the Maryland house building for one night with a leaky faucet, no elevator,and a note under our door saying they were turning off hot water for up to 14 hours. We were given the option to change rooms to a different building which we took (if there were rooms in another building, why put guests in the one that plumbing services are necessary for?) The toilet was not working but someone was sent quickly to fix it. Today we have a late checkout of 1:00 but we are locked out of the building and room as all keys are automatically turned off at noon. We are again standing outside waiting for staff.

A clean and convenient place to stay with a helpful staff and lots of glitches that need to be worked out.
