Easy access to the Riverwalk. I would call my room adequate for me. If you’re wanting a room to chill and unwind and feel cozy, that’s not going to happen. A dog barking a couple rooms away annoyed me for hours. Only two pillows and they were less than adequate. Not a lot of room to move around. No small table. Lighting fair. No issues with the tv. There is WiFi, but I didn’t use it. Bathroom shower area adequate. Probably not for the female travelers. I would definitely think twice before coming back.

The place is pretty run down. Every time we sat or moved on the bed it squeaked. Stuggled to get the tv to work. It looks like the owners are trying to fix it up but it's still a very low budget hotel.

I was charged for a queen bed, it was a full bed. There was no complimentary shampoo available, and I forgot to bring one. I was told by Expedia that they had rollaway beds, they did not. They did not have a coffee pot in the room, you had to go to the lobby. The only good things were that the small bed was comfortable and the location of the motel was nice.

Room was as pictured ans okay for 1 night. The outside of the hotel needs major updating. Rotting wood is visible and it overall looks run-down. There was only 1 pillow per person with no extras able to be given. Very few outlets to plug and charge from. The bathroom also needed work- paint was peeling/ missing.

When we arrived to the property, there were 2 police cars outside a nearby room across from us. It looked like they were working a crime scene. A woman, we think, was staying there but was being evicted possibly from not paying. We don't know. The woman stayed with her car (full of all of her possessions) for hours after the police left after shutting the hotel door. The woman was clearly \"not all there\" but that left us with a creepy feeling on our first day. After 7-8 hours she finally left the parking lot. Our room was fine but the bed was uncomfortable. It seemed there were hard springs across the bed that dug into our backs. We stayed a total of 3 nights. We piled what blankets we had to soften the bed but it didn't work. Also, when I was showering the light in the bathroom started to blink and then as I was finishing up, the light went out. Did not turn on again. The tub was pretty deep and was so slippery I almost fell. I did slip once. Scary. We will be searching for a better hotel next time.

I was told upon check-in that I had reserved two smoking rooms. I didn't realize that you could ever check in for smoking rooms. We kept one (ex-smoker) and I was charged an extra $57. for a non-smoking room. Was told that I could check with my provider to see what I was offered.
Still feel like I was hosed.

Might not stay at this motel 6 ever again.

We ultimately ended up not staying here. It had nothing to do with the staff. The check in was smooth and easy. Yes, I read reviews before booking but after visiting I can’t agree with some of them. It is a very old motel and the outside is really worn. The room we were assigned was pretty worn too. The mattress was broken down and jiggled just by sitting down on it. It just wasn’t for us. I was willing to pay the much higher price at another tried and true chain hotel. The clerk was super busy when we decided to not stay so he didn’t really have an opportunity to ask why. I realize that the review will probably catch them off guard.

The room was immaculate and quiet. The evening shift even helped me by going out of their way to find first aid for me when I got hurt (skinned my knee pretty bad)when my dog knocked me down pretty hard. The morning gal answered all my questions and was quite pleasant to talk to.

While the room was clean, it had a terrible smell. There were floorboards in two different spots of the room that actually sunk a couple inches into the floor when you stepped on them. All they said at the front desk is it’s a backup room, and they should’ve told us about the floors. Homeless people outside. The parking lot’s a nightmare if you have a full size truck. If you’re looking for a place to lay your head, this works. But we will never stay there again.

The office staff was courteous and prompt. The room was clean and tidy but, worn.
The outside of the building was in dire need of maintenance. I’m not a building inspector but, some places look a little sketchy. On a busy weekend, the parking can be a little unfriendly, especially if you have a full size truck. Overall value was definitely acceptable.

When we drove up to this hotel, we almost drove away. The exterior is poorly maintained and looks dilapidated. We decided to give the room a try. It was better, although dated and seemed quite clean. We needed help with the TV and the young man from the counter was very helpful. Our room was facing the bridge and quite scenic. It was near the end of the riverwalk and a bit sketchy.No problems though. I would not stay here again.

I knew what I was expecting, a low cost place to stay in downtown Astoria, and that’s what I got so no surprise there. The room and staff were fine. Compliments to that. The facility was worn down and poorly maintained. The hotel was on the wrong side of the tracks (literally). Next door was, I am assuming) a rooming house or recovery house. People sat out back smoking until late.
There were nicer places close by where I’ll stay next time.

This hotel was perfect for us, we just needed a place to sleep for the night while down for a softball tournament. The staff was friendly and room, while small, was clean and comfy. We didn't get a chance to explore the area since we were only in town for the tournament, but looks like a good center location for great activities. Also had a beautiful view of the bridge and river from our window.

The bed's head was significantly \"downhill\" and forced us to sleep the other way around. The curtains didn't have a liner so the edges let in a lot of light, which was one thing, but it was a ground-level room and that made it feel unsecure and not private. Not the motel's problem, but the people above us were literally dancing in the middle of the night in heels. There is zero sound barrier between floors.

Terrible, came into the room and there was a stain and HAIR on the bed. Not only was the bed gross the bathtub was filled w BLACK VISIBLE HAIR and soap scum. When trying to communicate with the staff they were basically calling me a liar and rude. That’s not how customer service should be. Really ruined the start of my birthday.

Outdated, the room was clean when you walked in. It smelled like a swimming pool with the bleach… the air conditioner was on its last leg. It sounded like an airplane taking off and landing… and when it finally cycled off, I could hear the grunting from another room….😳The people that were out in their car all night with the engine on was super annoying the curtains do not block out the street lights so it’s like it’s three in the afternoon all night… never been so ready for 5 o’clock in the morning to roll around so I could leave..

The reservation was for two queens we got a queen and a double and they were very uncomfortable, the chairs in the room were uncomfortable with no table, when we checked in we were tolerable one vehicle per room so we had to pay the port athority $20 for parking, we also witnessed two motorcycles staying in the same room take two parking stalls, the TV also didn't work on the first night.

I love Motel 6 because you can always count oon it being clean. There are no frills or amenities, just a bed, a toilet, a shower. I am there to sleep and to shower. My only issue really was the price. $173 for one night. I recently was in Washington DC in a 4-star hotel with restaurants, bars, piik, centrally located for the same price as Motel 6 last weekend. Motel 6 should never cost more than $100. The value was terrible...

It was very pet-friendly with plenty of parking. The rooms were clean and basic, though the you could hear lots of noises from the other rooms above. It was a perfect location to downtown Astoria.

It would really help if the management of the facility would try to fix up especially the outside (e.g. paint, broken wood, rust, etc)

We would never stay here again. The room was clean however the bed was horrible. It creaked when you sat on it or moved during the night. Clearly a very old mattress with a broken box spring. The very sparse furniture was so cheap just particle board. No pictures on walls. No hair dryer. On top of all that, the window was directly under a very bright light outside the door and the curtain did not keep the light out —We had to sleep with shirts over our eyes! Ultimately a horrible experience that cost us over $200. I wouldn’t have paid $89 for what we experienced.
