We got there late at night around 11pm because we were doing a roadtrip coming from afar. Office was closed but staff was inside as expected of a motel there should be a night shift staff assigned. Instead of him welcoming us he just said “Office was closed an hour ago”. So what? You have a motel business even if your guest arrived in the wee hour there’s should always be an available staff to check in unless it was clearly stated in the reservation that there is a time limit for when to check in. Very poor customer service!

In expedia, the description of the rooms stated that there is a kitchenette, but there is none, there’s only a refrigerator and a microwave so the description of the rooms are inaccurate and misleading. Although the room is clean, it was very stinky. It smelled musty and mildewy. I Would never go back to this motel nor recommend it.

It’s definitely a 2-star motel. You get what you pay for. It wasn’t filthy, but it definitely wasn’t clean.

Pros: Full-size fridge was clean and cold! Cable TV with premium channels. Courteous front desk clerk.

Cons: The key card for one of our rooms only worked some of the time, and when it wasn’t working there was nobody in the office to help. One of the bedside lights did not work. The bathroom faucet was covered with gritty body wash or something when I went to turn on the shower. Previous guest’s hair on the shower wall. Gross stains on the bed covers. But at least we had towels, which wasn’t the case for the guests next to of our rooms. This stretch of the riverfront felt a bit sketchy and we hurried to get back to the rooms before dark. There’s a lot of unhoused people camped nearby, but nobody approached us.

This hotel is on the main highway--loud vehicles--but the room was surprisingly very quiet. They've done a great job of soundproffing the place. Also, they do not rent rooms to locals which keeps the place from becoming a brothel--more or less.

No breakfast, not much for amenities--good as that keeps the cost down. Extremely clean, well maintained and great location.

We rented a 2 bedroom suite. Two queen beds with one in an actual bedroom with a door. Two tvs. Lots of towels. Comfortable beds. Quiet.
Riverfront Trail across the street. Trolley stop nearby.
Moderately priced. We were very pleased!

There is no hypoallergenic bedding and my eyes swelled up trying to sleep, barely got any sleep, the heater was like a heatbox and made the room hotter than the thermostat, the oven in the kitchen area smoked very easily and set the fire alarm off, id say the refrigerator, bathroom were the only 10/10 of ratings i could give this place.
If you need hypoallergenic bedding this is not your place to be.

Room was mostly clean although there was hair on the bathroom door and the soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers were either empty or not functioning. You could tell they just finished putting \"a fresh coat of paint on everything\" the room furniture was even new'ish. No icemachine and lots of road noise.

I stayed 2 nights. The 1st morning I asked for maid service. When I got back to the room, we only had a few clean towels, no coffee, beds weren’t made, toilet not cleaned and our dirty coffee cups were still there, and none of the sinks were cleaned. I had to go find someone to get more coffee. Otherwise, the room was very nice. We had a 2 bedroom family room with a fully stocked kitchen. Full size fridge, oven, microwave etc. it was clean and comfortable. I would stay again

Bare-bones motel but good overall. Unusual room configuration, with the bathroom between the two beds, but it works well. Beds were good. No road noise.

Shower worked fairly well, but soap dispensers needed refilling, the circulation fan wasn't effective, and there was some possible mold.

Excellent breakfast option a short distance west of here (5 minute walk).

For the least expensive lodging in town that had a good rating, this was fine.

This motel exceeded my expectations. I got a good deal for one night and was concerned that it would reflect the price (I have experienced this in the past). However, the room was very clean, comfortable, and we even got two beds. My sister and I were traveling alone, so safety was super important for us. We felt pretty safe here. There is a sizable homeless population in Astoria, but we didn't have any issues. We did choose to drive to dinner rather than walk due to the multiple tent camps we saw, but the motel itself was very nice. And they had free parking.

The property was clean on the outside. Our room was nicely remodeled with updated floors and bathroom fixtures. The shampoo dispenser was empty. The hand soap dispenser was just about empty. The staff person on duty when we checked in was not friendly at all. Business owners need to remember that the customers, or rather, the guests are what keep a lodging business open and running. In this terrible economy we're living in right now, let's be appreciative of the people who save up $$ to take a small weekend vacation. When someone greets you like you're some kind of burden, then your experience can take a turn downward. Sometimes people travel, even for just a weekend, to escape problems they're facing.

It was lots of space to park, clean and pretty quiet. The staff is amazing, we forgot a hoodie and they kept it so we could come back for it. That is awesome service !! Can absolutely recommend them! Close to what ever you might need and just a few twist and turns from the bridge over to the Washington side.

One problem was traffic was kind of loud but not that bad and I could hear the folks in the room next door but again, not that bad. Bridge to WA was steps away.

The only problem is the same problem most places in Astoria have, traffic noise until late and it starts again early. Most rooms have a quieter room away from the road and a noisier room in front, so you can adjust things to figure out your best assignments.

It was okay overall—bed was a bit lumpy and cleanliness was probably a 3/10. The biggest plus was the location, since it’s within walking distance to a lot. It looks like they’re in the middle of remodeling; we got a side with some newer updates, but it still wasn’t great. For just one night though, it did the job.

Pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a room with a kitchenette, and it was like a little apartment. It was clean, spacious, modern and very comfortable. Definitely one of the better places we have stayed!

The only minor things that could be improved on is the lighting in the living room / kitchen area was pretty dim, and the soap / shower gel / shampoo dispensers in the bathroom did not dispense very much at a time so it was difficult to get a reasonable amount.

Those things are not a dealbreaker by any means - just mentioning them to give a little feedback.

We will definitely stay here again when we are in Astoria!

The smoke detector was MISSING and no fire sprinkler. The TV did not work. The toiletry dispenser was empty! No shower gel, no shampoo! Luckily I had soap and shampoo in my bag.

The room was very roomie and nice. We really enjoyed the bed and slept comfortably. Our only real complaint would have to be he shower. The shower head could not be changed, it was such high pressure that when the water hit your head it pushed it forward, it caused me to have a terrible headache and neck pain. It was also so loud. It sounded as if you were in a small aircraft. It also hurt when it hit your skin. The water was also not draining when we took showers.
We also noticed that when we used the toilet for the first time it was pinching our butt because there was a crack in the toilet seat. We ended up wrapping a wash cloth around the seat and it didn't bother us any more.
It is in a great location though with a wonderful view, nice fresh air and the staff were very nice.

This property had large mold growing along the wall. By the curtains and mold growing above the bathroom sink. Thank you so much. Spoke to the manager manager stated that it's a very old building and all the rooms have mold in it. The receptionist was very rude. You can tell she had a problem that my husband was a black man. She was listening to politics when we walked in. Didn't bother to shut it off.After a comment was made had an attitude.When you asked for help.

My check in was a little rough.Not sure why but something seems to have brought in a lot of ants in the bathroom area. Room was very close to stairs so I heard that noise and I had to park 2 or 3 spaces from my room. None a deal breaker but made my stay below average instead of the very good as I've stayed at this motel many times.

Over priced pokey room with windows overlooked by a chain link fence and footpath, so the curtains had to be kept drawn. Not enough bedding, one blanket, a thin spread and 3 pillows for 2 people. Heater in the closet to be used if it got cold. It got cold but the noise of the heater would disturb sleep, so wasn’t used. I had to put towels on the bed for warmth and put on sweats. However the room was very clean and nicely decorated. The 2nd floor must have wooden floors too because clip clopping feet could be heard. A disappointing stay.

I wouldn't typically give a 5-star review to a motel, but this one deserves it. We made the reservation while sitting in a car at a store in Coos Bay, driving the beautiful Oregon Coast. Within two minutes I received a call from the manager asking when we anticipated our arrival so that they could make certain someone was there. After arrival, we found that the room was very clean and in better condition than we expected at an older motel. Please don't interpret my 5-star review as a promise that you are staying at the Ritz. It is a value motel, after all. I just think they are providing you better quality than you typically receive for the price you are paying.

My partner and I booked this motel for a romantic weekend of cooking breakfast together before exploring the Oregon coast, coming back in the evening to roam the streets of Astoria. The rooms were excellent and recently renovated, the property manager was kind and got us all the cooking supplies we needed, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations- especially for the price.
