We do not recommend this place. The building is very rundown and sketchy. The light on the sign was flickering and barely illuminated at night. The bunk beds did not have a weight limit on the room listing, but after we arrived we learned it was much smaller than we hoped. The only good points: the staff were kind and the view from the room was pretty. This place was so horrible we did not even stay. We went to the Holiday Inn down the street instead. Horrible experience.

The \"boat\" theme room was cute! Nice view out onto the marina. Don't let the surroundings fool you, it's nicer than the sign and surroundings suggest. Nice complumentary breakfast and beverages. We ate at the Portway tavern (5 min walk) which had decent food and drinks but seemed a bit over-hyped on yelp.

Staff was friendly, but the room was not very clean. Dead spider in the dub, did not look like the carpet was vacuumed with any kind of attention, and there was a wad of hair in the bathroom. The screen door had holes in it, and the deck and chairs were covered in pigeon crap.

This hotel has a lot going for it, but it does need some renovation. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend this motel.

Nice size room, clean with the best views in town I think. Right on the marina and beautiful view of the Megler Bridge. Perfect cozy chair and good size table to sit, relax and enjoy watching the boats and fishermen. I also appreciated the fact that management provided a box fan in the room without request because it was very warm in Astoria that weekend and the room had no AC. I was grateful for the fan! It's also perfect location to catch the Astoria Trolly for $2 and go to town for the Sunday market. I will be choosing this location again soon.

The hotel is stuck in the 70s and 80s. That includes breakfast and rooms. It could use lots of upgrades. But the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was helpful. Location was good, close to downtown Astoria. Hotel overpriced for the condition it’s in.

This property has been a fixture in Astoria for decades, just under different names. A couple of things could use some attention

1. Dated rooms- reinvest into updating, carpets, drapes,furniture

2. Like many hotels, maintenance needs to change out outlets. Travel cords and charges just fall out from people a d housekeeping just yanking cords out.

This is an older motel-type that needs external updating. But the room was very good as were the staff and amenities. Our balcony view of the river and boat docks/piers were great. Staff recommended a nearby pub that we could walk to and it is popular with the locals for good reason. Overall a very good stay.

This hotel has rooms with beautiful views of the boat docks and river. We loved sitting on the small patio and the beds were very comfortable. I didn’t notice that they do not have AC. But they had a fan and we slept with the patio door open so it was fine. The outside of the hotel is sadly very dilapidated and falling apart. Ick.

The only reason I’m giving them a 3 star is because the view from balcony was so pretty, they also have good breakfast, other than that the rooms are old school and the bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain, making it hard to shower, also the room was not as clean, but if your looking for a place to just call it a night it’s fine.

It was a lovely place! Outdated, but clean and nice and had everything we needed while adventuring in the area. Plenty of parking, and a really great light breakfast. Our room had a balcony overlooking the marina which I absolutely loved! And, surprisingly, it was super quiet, especially given we were there during several large conventions.

This property is very old and has seen better days. With that being said, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Probably the best bed I’ve slept on in a hotel! The lady at breakfast was super nice and even prepared a plate for a guest that couldn’t make it down and sent it with her mother. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Grime, dull, cheaper than cheap. This was one of the worst places we have stayed in for a long time. The room was filthy with crumbs all over the floor, stains on the sheets, used water bottles under the dresser and beds. It was dark and grimy. The porch was filthy with pigeon poo. The breakfast was awful, white pasty carbs. Parking is super weird and it feels very exposed. Never again.

The property makes most of Astoria walkable and there is easy parking. The hotel has some age, is worn in places, but comfortable and kept as clean as possible. I would stay there again. For the cost compared to the other places, you can’t beat the location. The bed was comfortable.

Based on Summertime rates in Astoria this is a good deal. The property outside is in a slight state of disrepair. The inside is clean, and well maintained. The breakfast is standard fare. Nothing to get excited about. Although there is a large homeless population in Astoria; this is a safe place to stay.

We were unpleasantly surprised at the condition of the property, from what the photos in the advertisement to what we really saw was completely different. We stayed in a themed room, which was interesting to say the least. Outside of our door there was lumber and a variety of cuts and other construction material which was casually strewn about. Again, the photos in the advertisement were totally different than what we actually added our fingertips very disappointed. Also it’s somewhat expensive to stay in there and the bed was substandard. The room was freezing. We just had a disappointing experience and I would not stay there ever again.

The motel was okay. Check in process was extremely slow. One employee in training worked with guest while another watched. Took over 30 minutes to check in with two guests in front of us.

We were told to only park directly in front of the rooms or we would be towed. When asked what we could do if no spots were available in front of the rooms, she loudly told me we could fight with port authority. Very helpful answer.

This is like a Motel 6 with a view of the boat quays. The furniture is dated and old with torn fabrics. The room has limited electrical sockets with bed being too far on one side so I wasn’t able to connect my accessories to charge my phone or watch by the bedside even though I have a 6 ft extension cord. The bathroom exhaust fan was noisy. The balcony was dirty with bird poo on the rails. It’s close to the bridge and the surrounding area wasn’t great. It’s not worth the price. I’m disappointed.

We have stayed at the Riverwalk Inn twice. We stay for the view. Everything is old and rundown. Mopped the floor with a towel that came out very dirty. Windows havn't been washed in weeks. The management seemed to be very overwhelmed. The young trainee was very pleasant at a very busy 4 o'clock check in... They do have a breakfast for guest. We only stay because the Marina and Astoria Bridge makes a beautiful view. There a view from every room. June 1st/2nd 2026.

We sat in the dining area overlooking the marina and enjoyed the view while having coffee. I needed to use the business center and the staff were so helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here if your in town.

This is an older property which has been fairly well kept up. It was clean and the beds were good. The view from the balcony over the marina was great. Nice to have chairs out there to sit and ponder.
Parking was a little odd as they don't actually own their parking lot, but lease it . You have to have a note on your dash to keep from getting towed!

We were able to park right in front of our door. We had to wait about 15 minutes to check in because of staff shortage. When we heard water running in shower in next room, we noticed water filling up our tub with debris. Staff came and plunged our tub and we had no further problems, but they said the cause was high tide and old pipes.?

Nothing. It was not like the photos on Expedia. The room was awful smelled, and was used and cleaned when we showed up. We switched rooms, but that room was worse. We left at 2 in the morning after arriving at 11pm because it was filthy and the smoke smell and other smells were so bad they triggered my daughters Epilepsy. The beds were filthy and stained and freshly stained with crusty stuff on one of the beds. It was awful.

The hot breakfast was about the same as most motels, good.
The TV was very difficult to operate and it was searching for a signal 95% of the time. In other words don't plan on watching anything. The TV didn't turn on when we first checked in, but a young man came right up to our room and fixed that part. After he got it to turn on and change channels it spent most of the time searching for service.
Be advised it doesn't have an elevator, so if your room is on the second floor you'll have to carry your bags up the stairs.

The nice part of our room it had a view of the marina and Astoria-Megler Bridge. The free self service breakfast in the morning isn’t bad and amazing for families with children. The bad part, when you pull up to the hotel, it really isn’t what I was expecting per photos. The exterior of the hotel in general is in sad shape needing a major remodel/renovation. I would like to know where are the rooms shown on Expedia, I certainly didn’t get a room that looked like any of the pictures shown. The posted pictures are possibly pre- COVID pictures. There is no gym, no outdoor seating with barbecues, our bathroom had stains on the walls, mirror and corners of tub. The bathroom fan did not work and the cable TV signal didn’t work half the time. Not to mention the housekeeping is loud and yell at each other right outside your room. I heard a disgruntled housekeeper yelling and cursing about some other person not showing up for work. Not cool when you are trying to sleep thank god for ear plugs.

Looks a little rough on the outside, some kind of red tagging from the city in the tooms next to me ... which had me a little concerned, smelly fish plant next door (outside odor only at night) but overall clean spacious room with beautiful views of the marina and bridge. Excellent value. Free breakfast was a nice touch but I passed on it ... mostly cheap processed eats. Coffee was great. Overall, Excellent value and I would stay again.

I've stayed here a few times over the years, and it hasn't changed much (I count that a good thing in this case). The view of the marina and bridge are the main draw for me, but I also really like walking the riverwalk trail that goes into town and beyond. Good food and plenty of activities nearby, but again, it's that view that keeps me coming back. Watching giant ships glide silently out toward the bar while smaller craft stream into and out of the marina is just so relaxing. Great place to read, write, relax, study, and the like.

My room was tidy but not exactly clean. You could tell it gets cleaned regularly, but stains on the carpet and sofas are very noticeable. I don't care at all about that as long as the bedding and bathroom are clean (and they were). I'm sure that's partly what keeps this place affordable compared to its close neighbor that charges something like double or triple per night.

All in all, a good value for the views and location as long as you're not expecting manicured grounds and spotless rooms.

The woman at the front desk was less than friendly. We got checked in and went to our room only to find that the bathroom sink wasn’t draining AT ALL. I went back to the front desk and requested a new room. The same woman told me “I will need someone to come and inspect it first”. I then let her know that my husband need to take a nap and asked how long that would take. She then got quite agitated and said “fine I’ll just get you a new room”. It took her forever to reprogram our keys. Once in the new room there was hardly any view and the bed was super concave. This place needs a serious overhaul. It’s not worth the price.

This hotel had a great location and the view was wonderful, but it feels like a struggling business that has lost the desire/ability to take care of itself. The room was not really clean, and it felt like a long term issue. Mirrors had not been wiped, some mold in the trash can, and the room had that feel where you don’t want to walk around barefoot. Had a question two days before our arrival and sent an email that was never answered. Called with no answer and no way to leave a message. Called again the day before and the phone just rang again during common business hours. The room was fine, but basic cleaning and being responsive are basic expectations. Subjective, but the staff seemed to not care, which for me is always a management issue. Price for location and view was good.
