The hotel has a perfect location, the pool has a stunning view, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas there is a supermarket and shopping mall within a 5 min walk. The breakfast was the best we have had in chili so far, the staff were friendly and helpful (google translate works well)

The hotel is great, rooms are huge with fantastic view. Expedia mentions “Bag service”, but the receptionist mentioned that they do not have this service. Bathrooms are clean and huge. The view is beautiful + the room has a balcony. The so is really good, the restaurant was good (they made a few errors with our bill, so we had to make several corrections - so check your bill). Area around is crowded and seemed unsafe to walk around, but hotel certainly felt safe and comfortable.

We were in Antofagasta, as a base to tour the ESO Paranal Observatory. A remarkable value… 13th floor room, beautiful, quiet and well-appointed, with a small terrace, overlooking the bay. Enjoyed our breakfasts and our two dinners at the excellent seaside restaurant. Did not use the pool, but it looked lovely.

The view is fantastic, and there is plenty of space in the room. They have smart TV’s for late night netflix. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend it over any other options in Antofagasta.

This property should be avoided. The room and bedsheets were not properly cleaned. The bed sheets were heavily stained and the curtains were filthy. Customer service is beyond terrible. Check in agent was extremely rude and when I asked if they had a converter for use they told me they would call me once I got to my room. When I called two hours later after not hearing from them, I was told to “go to the mall next door and buy one.” The next morning I went for breakfast a few minutes before 10am as the website states breakfast is 6:30-10:30am. There were two women there with carts set to clear the food. I explained the situation to the front desk and they came over and asked the women to wait a few minutes as we had the incorrect information at no fault of our own. Amazing they ignored him and continued to clear the buffet despite being told to wait. I had to tell one woman twice to wait and she stepped back and gave me a very nasty stare down. It was embarrassing and so uncomfortable. I took food for my husband and put it on the table and then just went back to the room as I was so angry with the treatment we received. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel.

The reception staff were inept. Very unwelcoming on arrival and more than 25 mins to check out. A big queue formed behind me and no other staff came to help for more than 20 mins.
There was only one lift for 17 floors. Everyone was annoyed by this. It could easily take 10-15 mins to get from ground to 16.
The pool was not in use either.
On the upside, the rooms are big with fantastic sea views. The restaurant serves good food at fair prices, but finding the menu in a pdf online is a pain.

Not the best hotel...but among the worst.

Upon arrival, I was notified that the parking was full and that there were no additional options for parking. I was forced to park my vehicle in a very unsafe area and walk to the hotel. I also was unable to off load my bags in front of the hotel due to the doorman not allowing me to. Upon checking in I found many hairs through out my room's bathroom. Bed was comfortable and there was a menu of pillows to choose from. Breakfast buffet is great and a high light of the stay. Food was fresh and very well stocked. I was getting married and needed to take some pictures for the wedding and during the shoot leaned against a wall only to find out that it left a stain on my suit jacket. Just an over all unpleasant experience. I won't be back.

Best modern hotel but without the 4 star service

Out of all the hotels that we saw while visiting Antofagasta, this hotel was clearly the nicest in the whole city. It is a very modern hotel with an 'infinity' type pool overlooking the ocean. In terms of location it is right next to the biggest mall and walking distance to the downtown area. In Antofagasta there isn't many nice beaches, but the few that they do have are not walking distance from the hotel and the majority of the nice restaurants are 2-3km away as well.
In terms of the room, it was quite spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. The washroom was quite large as well with a walk in shower.
Now for the negative aspects. The water from the shower was yellow. We filled a glass and showed it to the front-desk, they seemed surprised but there was no follow up as to if they did anything about it. We were there for two nights so they had time to rectify the issue and let us know.
Although the infinity type pool is quite nice, on several occasions we pelicans and other birds take a bath in it. The staff did not seem to mind and truthfully many of the other guests did not either.
We ate at the restaurant on new years eve since everything else was closed in the city. The steak tasted like lighter fluid, other than that, it was ok.
Regarding the everything else was closed on new years eve, we asked the front desk 5 times to reserve at a few restaurants. They only told us everything is closed on new years eve at 8pm when it was too late to go anywhere else.

Careful of the elevator :(

My wife got stuck in the elevator one evening, pressed the call button, no response, pressed the alarm button, no response. She called a friend who rang the front desk and was told my wife was fine and the issue was resolved, which it wasn't. She was able to open the elevator door with her hands to get out after about 15 minutes. No one from the hotel checked to see if she got out of the elevator or spent the night there. At check out, no one seemed to be concerned with their lack of actions and extremely poor customer service.

Nice hotel but with some areas for improvements.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 weeks. Booked room week to week and could not get any long term discounts, had to make bookings through external web site to get best price. Thought hotel may have offered this without the inconvenience of having to outsource.

Room cleaning staff entered our room continuously without knocking or ringing the door bell. Made several complaints about this to the persons involved and to the desk staff. Finally it stopped.

No variation on breakfast. The menu was the same for the 5 weeks.

New hotel located on the waterfront and rooms have a great view of the ocean. Centrally located and within easy walking distance of the city Centre and a major modern shopping complex. Restaurant is top shelf with open air starring next to the water. Menu features fresh seafood.
Room and hotel amenities were modern. Limited English was spoken by staff but thee was always someone at reception who could.

This is a nice hotel near cental Antofagasta. There is construction just put the front door which detracts from the first impression, but once inside this is not noticeable. The view is incredible with both the ocean and the mountains, and the Terrado is close to the Antofagasta Mall and the city center.

I have stayed at a number of the hotels around Antofagasta and Terrado is the best. The hotel staff are excellent and very friendly. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the desk chair in my room was in need of replacement, but it still functioned.
The restaurant has great food, and the waiting staff are great but the service tends to be quite slow, and when the restaurant is busy don't expect to be able to eat and be back in your room in less than an hour (even as a single person eating).
The location is good for short, busy trips. Although to experience the local restaurants, etc. it is a bit of a walk, at least 20 minutes.

This hotel would have rated better if we had actually gotten a wink of sleep while staying. The very loud booming of music began around 10:30 and continued till 3 or 4 AM. For someone wanting to stay up all night partying it is perfect but if you really want to rest and relax NOT AT ALL!

For business travel to Antofagasta probably the best choice. Restaurant is good. Rooms are comfortable. The biggest problem is the noise from the Bar in the mall after about 1 AM. Tjey coup also put some additional gym equipment. .

I booked this hotel for my wife to make sure she enjoys her two days two nights there since she was meeting her family there. Apparently a great Hotel with marvelous view. She was very happy of her stay, but a disaster when it comes to communication. No WiFi in the room and apparently not in the common area??? No one to answer the phone. I called her late at night early in the morning and during the day, the average attempts were 3 attempts to get connected between 7am and 7pm and after these hours no luck no one whatsoever to answer the phone. I even asked her to call the reception to ask what was happening and same she was not able to connect. The last thing was the TV also a calamity. but a nice hotel that needs to work on few things. If you do not need to be contacted or you do not watch any TV so it is a great place at an expensive price considering the lack of communication. I contacted the hotel and so far no one has answered me.

I was here on business. Very nice, modern room - the entire width of the room is glass (with large balcony) overlooking the bay. Right next to a big shopping mall.Friendly and corteous service in lobby. Lobby and pool were great, too. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel wanted to charge me for the room that already had been billed by Hotels.com. Additionally, any clothing ironing requirements have to be sent outside the hotel for a change and not a timely service; quite archaic for today's business traveler. The WiFI (although free) it's useless, it does not work on the 7th floor.

En general, siempre es un agrado alojarse en el Hotel Terrado de Antofagasta. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y todas cuentan con vista al mar, lo que les otorga una ubicación privilegiada. La cama es excelente y permite un descanso de muy buen nivel.

Los servicios del hotel valen totalmente la pena, destacando las piscinas, el spa y la piscina techada. En cuanto al restaurante, la experiencia es bastante buena en términos generales, con platos muy bien logrados. Sin embargo, hay un punto a mejorar respecto a los postres, el coulant de chocolate (volcán de chocolate), considerando su valor de $8.900, debería ser preparado en el mismo restaurante y no corresponder a un producto comprado y solo recalentado.

Otro aspecto a considerar es el estacionamiento del hotel, el cual resulta demasiado pequeño para la capacidad del recinto. Durante la tarde suele llenarse tanto el estacionamiento exterior como el subterráneo, y el personal de seguridad te indica que no hay disponibilidad, sugiriendo buscar estacionamiento en otro lugar, algo que se torna incómodo y costoso. Cabe señalar que el hotel no garantiza estacionamiento, sino únicamente la habitación, lo que puede resultar muy complicado para cuando traes el vehículo cargado y buscas seguridad en el estacionamiento de donde te quieres hospedar.

Ha bajado el nivel de atención

Muy mal servicio en el restaurante, muy lento y mal servicio, mal atendido.
Por otro lado, dicen que tiene gym y eso es falso, solo tienen 1 trotadora y 2 elípticas.

Mal servicio para un hotel de esta categoría

La habitación que me asignaron era con vista al mar, sin embrago las cortinas solo se podían abrir hacia el centro de la ventana tapando toda la vista al mar! algo muy absurdo. La ventana no se podía abrir para salir a la terraza. La cama estaba ubicada mirando la ventana, por lo que para ver televisión tenias que acostarte de lado; la televisión estaba sobre el escritorio ocupando el espacio de trabajo, y lo más destacable es que no había control remoto para hacerla funcionar! Tuve que bajar en la noche a la recepción a pedirlo, ya que llamé varias veces a recepción y nadie contestó el teléfono, al final nunca me llevaron el control remoto y mi estadía fue de 2 noches. La cama y almohadas no eran cómodas. Lo único bueno fue el desayuno ya que era variado. No me parece que un hotel de esta categoría tenga mal servicio al cliente y que no preste atención a detalles importantes para mejor la estadía de sus huéspedes.
