A family run, modern hotel with outstanding service, all the staff without exception try their hardest to make you feel welcome and your stay as comfortable as possible. Nice, clean rooms, good facilities like a sauna and a very good restaurant offering local cuisine and drinks at reasonable prices. Very good breakfast buffet with a great variety of food and drink. Would definitely choose this hotel again when in the area.

There is no A/C and the window opened into a courtyard where people came to smoke. We were there only at night and on second floor, but it was a job opening and closing the window in order to cool the room off before we could sleep. They only use duvets on the bed—no sheets on top or blanket which made it warmer. Took our box of Kleenexes when they cleaned, too.

No washcloths, no microwave, and no thermostat.

If you're hot, take your clothes off or open the window with no screens. No tub either. Beds were simple and comfy. Place was spotless and modern and quiet. Convenient location and helpful staff. Breakfast was yummy and the restaurant had a nice menu and good food. Parking was a little tight, but free. Catch a movie and get an ice cream across the street.

Simply the best

As in the Tina Turner's song: simply the best. Everything was so good, so it is impossible to emphasize specific things. In spite that there is a coffee machine at the breakfast room I was asked whether I would like a filter coffee. Just a personal touch.The hotel is located in the suburb, a bit away from the center of Augsburg, but if you have a car, it is a matter of 10-15 minutes and you are in the center. Definitely will stay again if I am around !!

Too much street noise.

Lovely hotel, unfortunately located directly across the street from the Multiplex Cinema, made for a very noisy stay, as there was no air conditioning we had to have the windows open and could hear the street noise very late in the evening and very early in the morning. Enjoyed a Delicious dinner in the restaurant, and the staff was very warm & welcoming. Our stay was pleasant,other than the street noise we encountered.

It was my first trip to Germany. I arrived at Munich Airport around 9PM, rented a car, and holy cow! I did not realize how far Best Hotel Zeller is from the airport. It was raining, pitch dark, winding road with hard-to-read street signs. Good thing Sixt car rental gave me a high tech VW Golf with an awesome navigation, otherwise there is just NO WAY I will get there. I will tell you though that BHZ is actually at the center of most landmarks, which is about an hour from say Neuschwanstein and Munich Center, and a couple of hours from Salzburg or Rothenburg. It's just not a good idea to drive to the hotel at night, especially if it's your first time to travel Germany. The good side about BHZ is they clean the room every day which I think is important, and the breakfast is worth getting, especially the croissants and bacon. I miss it terribly. The people are also nice, not so much the guy who checked us out, he was grumpy maybe he lacks sleep or something. Otherwise, the people there are wonderful and cheerful!

Hotel was great, in a small town near Munich and Augsburg. Cost was very reasonable. All stores were closed on Sunday, so did impact trip - true for all of Bavaria. However, hotel restaurant was great. Great service and breakfast buffet.

Very nice hotel outside Munich. Great food and staff is excellent and very helpful. Only issue was we had a room overlooking the main street which was very loud. Location is not something that can change but perhpas asking about room choices at check-in as the hotel was not full. Overall however very pleased.

Great hotel for everyone

Everyone at Hotel Zeller was very friendly and helpful. Traveling out of the country can sometimes be challenging but everyone at the hotel was very helpful, spent time talking to us, giving us directions and suggesting places to go and things to do. We spend two nights there and would stay there again.

I cannot fault the friendliness, helpfulness and service of all at the hotel. They made us feel really welcome and went out of their way to he helpful. I travel a lot professionally so i can appreciate this even more! The hotel is (by car) very conveniently located, very close to Augsburg and some lovely sites on the romantic road and some famous, beautiful lakes for sunbathing. The rooms were fine and some renovations going on whilst we were there. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with a very tasty menu, clearly also popular with locals.

Convenient hotel on outskirts of Augsburg

This is a good choice if you are looking for an affordable hotel with plenty of parking on the outskirts of Augsburg. The center of town is approximately 20 minutes away. The hotel is comfortable, with an elaborate breakfast buffet. The rooms have bathtubs and the rooms are spacious by European standards.

Overnight stop near Augsburg

Family of 5 travelling through. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and found staff attentive and helpful. We had booked two rooms - the children's was good, ours not so. I think we got a room for elderly or disabled - a chair was still in the shower when we arrived and you had to be careful with the shower itself spraying water all over the bathroom floor as the curtain did not stop the spread of water. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was varied enough to please everyone - cereal, fruit, rolls, hot food and cold cheese and ham. As previously stated we arrived late and then left straight after breakfast so cannot comment too much on anything pertaining to long-term stay. It was good for an overnight, passing through situation. We were happy with the service. Parking was available outside in an open carpark, but secure enough.

A lovely hotel, pleasant staff, fine breakfast. Close to other interesting places. Enjoyed also another meal at Cafe Mozart which is close by. Would highly recommend this place to all. Public transportation is available into Augsburg, but we received good directions from staff at hotel and easily drove into Augsberg.

We booked this hotel because it was close to Augsburg but not right inside the city. We missed out on the bustle of central Augsburg, but the stay in Konigbrunn was more restful because of this. Access to Augsburg was easy, about a 20 minute drive directly north from the hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Speaking English was not a problem. Service and food at the restaurant were excellent. The included breakfast was typical of our experiences in German hotels but was more extensive than most.
These were not luxury accommodations but were very comfortable and provided everything we needed, including parking. We found them more than adequate.

All the 3 star country hotels proved excellent value.
I would rate this hotel at 4.5 if the system allowed it - in all the 4's I have listed above. The hills and mountains around the area are fantastic. Had a magnificent lunch in one of the villages up high. It was easy to find too. had a great pool, 3 lovely outdoor dining areas and a great breakfast. The dining room was well catered and the wine selection excellent.

I booked this hotel because Munich was very expensive the week we were there. My son and I loved this hotel. Very reasonable.. Small, beautiful town. Great people. Tried many resturants all were great. Hotel staff is very helpful. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. Enjoyed the sauna. Downtown Munich was 1 hr away, Dachau was 45 min, many other destinations were a nice drive. City has a nice pool, cycling paths. Hotel offers free parking. Only wish was that I wanted two beds and they weren't available.

Best Hotel Zeller is the BEST

This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. From the momment you walk in the door, you are treated with a warm Guten Tag and exceedingly helpful staff. Their English is superb and will let you practice your German.

The rooms, while somewhat spartan (no coffee maker), were in tip-top shape with newer carpeting, beds and furnsihings. The staff kept the entire hotel, including your room, impeccably clean.

The morning fruhstuck (breakfast) is to die for. Fresh breads, meats, yogurts, fruit, and wonderful coffee at your table.

Finally, the location makes for a great launching point to see Bavaria. We had a rental car, but found that the the Strassenbahn to Augsburg and its train station to be just as easy to get around.

The staff at Hotel Zeller was fantastic. They help me with an attachment for my power converter and also let me store my luggage until 4pm my last day. They spoke excellant English and could not do enough to make our stay one to remember. The breakfast was included in the price and it had a full array of items and taste great. I would give them Four Stars instead of three.

Habe das Zimmer für den Besuch der MEHR-Konferenz in den Augsburger Messehallen gebucht. Die Messe ist vom Hotell aus schnell und gut erreichbar.
Angenehm fand ich auch, dass es im Schlafbereich kein nachts mit Rauschen störendes Lüftungssystem gibt.

Das gesamte Team ist extrem freundlich, das seit jahrzehnten von der Familie geführte Hotel ist großartig, Einrichtung, Restauration, Bequemlichkeit und vieles mehr.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist prima. Die Zimmer schön und modern eingerichtet, bequeme Betten, ruhige Umgebung.
Es werden Pakete für Besuche in Augsburg und für die Nutzung der Therme in Bad Wörishofen angeboten, top.

Nach Renovierung noch toller!

Wir kommen nun schon einige Jahre jährlich ins Zeller und es war immer hervorragend. Heuer wurden wir nochmal mehr überrascht: die Renovierungsarbeiten sind abgeschlossen, das Hotel erstrahlt in neuem modernen Glanz. Das Restaurant ist optisch wie kulinarisch ein echtes Highlight. Neu renoviert, sehr gut ausgestattet. Das dazugehörige Restaurant serviert bayerische Speisen, modern interpretiert. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet auch von allem etwas. In direkter Umgebungen findet man ebenfalls Eiscafés, Restaurants, Kino etc.. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel unmittelbar vor dem Hotel (Bus) oder ein paar Schritte zu Fuß kann man mit der Straßenbahn direkt nach Augsburg fahren in knapp 30 Minuten. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen.

Hotel tidal im Umbau. Schönes neues Restaurant und Eingangsbereich. Check in war extrem u freundlich. Man hatte schon das Gefühl sich entschuldigen zu müssen, dass man das Hotel gebucht hatte. Meine Infos zu dem Hotel etc.. Zimmer sehr abgenutzt. Stark verschmutzter Teppich. Hotel war nicht stark besucht. Daher fragten wir uns, weshalb wir ein Behinderten gerechtes Zimmer bekommen haben. Dusche spritze überall hin.
Ganzer Boden war nass. Haus exten hellhörig sodass man um 5:30 hell wach war.
Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen, plus Punkt. Gute aber einfache Auswahl.

Ein sehr angenehmes Hotel

Wir waren, im Nachgang müssen wir sagen leider, nur eine Nacht dort. Ein sehr angenehmes Hotel, sehr ruhig gelegen. Wenn Die Baustelle vor dem Haus zu Ende ist, ist es hoffentlich weiterhin so schön ruhig. Gute Zimmer mit einer ausgezeichneten Matratze. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ganz nettes Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich sowie das Personal beim Frühstück eigentlich auch. Zimmer sind auch ordentlich und sauber. Die eine Dame mit den schwarzen Haaren war ganz besonders freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider hat das Restaurant nicht nur geöffnet von Dienstag bis Samstag. Möglich, dass ich wieder mal komme.
