The room was an absolute disgrace. Filthy toilet brush and holder. Pubic hair and scum in the shower. Putrid flooring and furniture. One glass for us to use. No cutlery or crockery. Moved rooms after complaining. The second room was just as disgusting. Email sent.. no response. I am demanding our money back. Do not and I repeat, do NOT book this despicable property.

The motel was central and the rooms were at the back of the property so not too much road noise. The beds were super comfy and so soft. We were in a family room and there was plenty of space. Didn’t see any staff when checking in our out. We dined at the onsite Japanese restaurant all you can eat and the found and service were amazing.

It has clearly been months since anyone scrubbed the shower. Felt like I should be wearing things. The slimy mould was not only visible but could be felt with my feet. And then there was the thick dust at the corners of the furniture.
Doesn’t make one confident about the sheets.

For a Deluxe Twin room, it was very ordinary, there was nothing deluxe about it. Chips on old wooden furniture, bathroom sliding door wouldn’t open, air conditioner only just working, needed painting, renovating etc etc

Awesome beds. Good size twin room. Reasonably priced. Not sure if there is breakfast available to the rooms or not but definitely not breakfast at the restauant, which is a shame. Found a can under the bed so cleaning could be a bit more thorough. Rooms can do with a lick of paint but nothing really bad.

Good for a nights stop over room was large.
I wouldn't stay more than one night as the strong smell of stale cigarettes and the scents they used to try to mask it was so overpowering it gave me a headache.
I actually didn't sleep well at all due the the smell.
Overall ok for a quick stop over.

3 minutes after I arrived, after reception has closed, they came and unlocked the door without a hassle at all.
Lamp was broken but that was the only problem and not at all an issue. Would stay again if passing through Dubbo.

Family trip away

Place was clean but dated, but beds were comfortable and room was a good sized.

However, there were people drinking outside their room next door. Constant swearing, loud music and yelling.

Can't really fault the staff for this, but it just doesn't add to family holiday experience.

The location was convenient as was the parking. As for the rest I won't stay again. The shower dripped continuously, and everything felt tired and worn. The restaurant thought is expedient to move their enormous noisy bins around 10 pm every night. I could hear them thru my earplugs.

I don't know if it is all of Dubbo, but the two motels I stayed in in this town were run by the most lovely, helpful, friendly people! Cascade's rooms were spacious and probably had the nicest decor of all the places we stayed in on this road trip.

My room was spacious, clean and quiet. While it was quite dated re furnishings, with some showing signs of wear, it was comfortable.
I was somewhat amazed, and irritated, that the coffee/tea cups were those small types of many decades ago that hold such a small amount of liquid, several cups are required to feel as though you have actually had a simple cup of tea or coffee. Please update these to a current sized mug 🙂

This was after they booked us into a room first that had not even been made up and then sent us to one with already used linen.

My only issue was that the bathroom was a little unclean with a few bugs.

The room had not been cleaned.

- There was hair on the fridge, in the bed & on the floor.
- There was poo on the side of the toilet bowl & urine on the seat.
- Dead crickets on the floor, generations of spiderwebs & spiders in the window.
- Toothpaste on the vanity, mould on the door frames.
- The smell of cleaning chemicals was overpowering.

Cascades used to be one of the top motels in Dubbo, it's very rundown & unloved. We just needed somewhere to stay for a night, is it to much to ask to have a clean room? Couldn't wait to get out of there. Ripped off!.

Great place with a great location! We did a lot of biking around, to the Taronga zoo, Dundullimal homestead and even the loads of restaurants close by. The Belottis were great hosts and made sure our stay was perfect. Would definitely choose to stay when we visit Dubbo again.
