We stayed at Rosapetra Spa Resort in August and were disappointed. The hotel has no air conditioning, and their solution was to suggest leaving the balcony door open at night—right onto a busy, noisy road. It also didn’t feel safe since anyone could easily walk up to our room.

Breakfast was very basic: just yogurts, cereals, and a few egg options. The best part of our stay was the staff—they were truly wonderful and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately, the hotel itself just doesn’t match their level of service. Federico was amazing!!! No matter how hard they tried, the property felt more like a basic 3-star hotel.

Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The Rosapetra Spa was very lovely and had the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was nice on arrival. The room was beautiful but lacked the 5 star luxury I was hoping for. The Spa was quite beautiful and had various saunas but the most beautiful sauna was off limits and we were scolded by the spa staff when we used it but not one staff member said it was closed. It was annoying but I have to say the spolier was the American couple who made a scene in the spa was they saw someone naked. To all Americans- its Europe-if you go to a spa be prepared to see nakedness. I have to say what really impressed me the most was the restaurant. It was fantastic. Everything we ate was amazing and the service was impeccable.

We really enjoyed the property however the restaurant service was below average. Very slow and non attentive-the wrong order was placed in the kitchen and it took forever to to get our food, there was no one checking on us at all and the restaurant only had 3-4 tables. Staff seemed to be just standing around talking.

A really lovely stay, with friendly and helpful staff. The included breakfast had a variety of choice but no hot food sadly, which would have been a nice touch, although i believe you could pay extra for this but would be nice to see it included. The staff were always very friendly and welcoming and gave us a very detailed tour on arrival along with a welcome drink. A couple of improvements i could recommend are providing the room with a room service menu, the staff seemed to be a little confused when we asked for a menu. And it would have been nice to have access to more information on how the lockers in the spa area worked as well as the sauna. however these are minor things that could just make a really great stay even better.

We had an absolutely fantastic few days at Rosapetra. Staff outstanding (small hotel with personal service - nothing was too much trouble for them); beautiful location; awesome spa and massage; shuttle service was very prompt; concierge set us up with a legendary local guide (Mario) who has climbed every major mountain in the world (as well as the Dolomites) but was super modest; hikes were sublime and climate perfect. Only regret was that we did not stay long enough - can’t wait to return next summer.

The highlight of the property is the valet. He also provided transportation to and from Cortina which is a little over a mile away. We didn’t eat at the hotel but rather went into town for our meals. The spa is only average but the service and staff are very attentive. Room 30 or the “romantic suite” is not worth the extra money because the romance tub is a waste of water and space and the room is not well designed.

This place impressed us from the start. We were greeted in the parking lot by name as soon as we pulled in. We were assisted with our luggage and made to feel welcomed right away. A quick tour of the hotel and spa area was provided before taking us to our room. All of the facilities were in great condition and everyone who worked there made us feel right at home. One surprising thing was that almost anyone we encountered that worked at the hotel called us by name, a nice personalized touch. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and were impressed by the service and quality of food. The spa facilities are amazing and give you a lot of options to choose from throughout the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Be warned! They are currently under construction and the noise is practically deafening! I'm sure it's a lovely place to stay but it was absolutely impossible, and it's supposed to be a spa resort to relax and unwind, which is exactly why we went there. No chance! We checked out as quickly as we could after they started jack-hammering at 8AM, but the noise of them just getting ready to work that day woke us up before 7. They didn't offer any refund even though we couldn't enjoy any of the amenities. If you are considering staying here, call first to make sure they have completed the work (which, by the looks of it, may be a while.) I will say that Hotels.com gave us some compensation, which was very cool as this wasn't their fault, but it only added up to less than half of what the room cost for the night. We left feeling completely shaken up, nerves shredded, and very unhappy with the hotel for not doing more as far as refunding the stay.

Simply the best!

It has been an incredible staying, everyone was just simply amazing! The hotel is way better than the actual pictures and the stuff is just simply the best. ! Everyone, Davide, Fabrizio, and all of their stuff made us feel like we were home, so much so that it was very hard to leave and say goodbye to everyone.
We promised we would be back, they really made the difference.. I wish every staying was like this one. they really made the difference!!! Not to talk about the landscape, absolutely a dream!
Also the food at the restaurant where Alessandro is the chef, is superb!!!

Beautiful well appointed property in an amazingly gorgeous location. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Our room was lovely very clean, modern, well appointed and we had a very large private deck to enjoy the breath taking views of the Dolomites. The food is absolutely incredible! Breakfast was wonderful and everything so fresh, they even make their own in house yogurt among many other tasty treats. We also enjoyed an amazing dinning experience for dinner, possibly one of the best dinners we have ever had. Super gourmet, utilizing local and fresh ingredients. I'm celiac and they took great care to make sure I was able to eat safe, they even had freshly made gluten free rolls for me that were outstanding! The spa is beautiful with a great variety of treatments and rooms to try out and enjoy. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again! a true 5 star experience!!

This is a lovely, beautifully renovated small hotel. It has excellent spa facilities and and nice bar and restaurant. Our plane was late and they graciously swapped our reservation by a night to preclude a long dark, drive. The room was a tad small but very nicely finished. A comfortable overnight stay.

Lovely spa hotel with a few deficiencies

For a 5-star hotel, one expects a lot -- certainly a larger room and better quality food. The room was quite small with no sitting area or even a comfortable chair, and according to the diagram on the door, all the rooms on the main floor are the same size. The private terrace was large, but the cool weather made it impossible to sit out there very much. The one dinner we ate in the hotel restaurant was impeccably served and beautifully presented, but the flavors were bland and disappointing. The meal was very expensive. The breakfast buffet was fine, but they seemed not to be able to achieve having eggs and sausages in the steam container at the same time on any of the three mornings, and the wait for refilling was long. Also, getting enough coffee was somewhat of a game involving making requests over and over, as they bring only a small amount in a little pot each time. One wonders why serve-yourself coffee, so common in other hotels in the area, is not possible in this very expensive one. The one very good thing about this resort is the spa, gym, and indoor pool, which are beautiful. Given the cool weather, the wonderfully heated pool, as warm as a warm bath, was most welcome, as were the water massage features in it. With a few improvements, this hotel could rise up to expectations except for the very small rooms, which is a pity.

Absolutely amazing -- we ended up extending our stay because we fell in love with the luxurious but relaxed hotel, the stunning views, and the magical town of Cortina. Beautiful and thoughtfully designed rooms, an extraordinary spa, innovative restaurant, outstanding breakfast buffet, and top-notch service. Highly recommend visiting in the summer (when we did), but we hope to also return in the winter during ski season.

We visited Italy for two weeks and of the 5 hotels we stayed at, this was our least favorite one. I am not sure how it received a 5 star rating. I think of it more as a nice 3 star hotel. The only thing about it that is 5-starish are the finishes in the bathroom. The room was small, and kids are not allowed in the pool after 4 pm. So, it was not ideal for a family. If one is looking for massages and a spa then perhaps this hotel is a better fit. The staff was nice, and the room was clean. However, unlike some of the hotels we stayed in, it lacked a soul.

This was a beautiful, small and quiet hotel close to the downtown action in Cortina. The staff were so kind and helped us with dinner reservations to excellent restaurants. The spa is amazing and was quiet and practically empty! They have bikes for the guests to use which was a fun way to see the town. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and had everything one could need. All in all, an amazing place and we would love to return!

Absolute gem of a hotel!

We stayed at Rosepetra for a week. It lies about 2 kilometers outside of the Cortina town centre. There is a nice hike & bike path that makes it an easy walk. The hotel also provides shuttle service to Cortina and back although we didn't find it necessary to use.

The staff were all very welcoming and quite pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable and well styled. Outside views were simply outstanding. We loved this place. I would book again!

Incredible stay. The resort and rooms are a perfect blend of ultra modern amenities wrapped in traditional European ski lodge decor. The spa is fantastic and adding to the tranquil environment is a breathtaking view of the Dolomites. Must eat in the restaurant, whilst a little pricey, it is a once in a lifetime experience as the chef has prepared an unforgettable menu that is matched by amazing service. The location of the resort itself is seems to be in a more residential area slightly outside Cortina D'Ampezzo so there just aren't many other things to do in the nearby vicinity (which is good).

Considered out of season right now. The town of Cortina D'Ampezzo is very quite by day and a ghost town by night. Anyone familiar with Italian culture will realise something is not right here when trying to communicate whilst shopping etc...That is because you are NOT communicating with an indigenous Italian. If you are, you will have fun and they will try to help and go the extra distance to do so. Food / clothing is very expensive. Brennero (Austrian border) is not a nice place and the shopping (factory!) outlet is small and a complete waste of time and disappointment - London is by far cheaper WITHOUT the sales. Don't confuse Italian hospitality with this place.

Beautifully designed with a superb restaurant.

The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed with wood and stone primarily used to create a relaxing and upmarket feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all happy to speak English when our limited Italian would not suffice. The breakfast was the best I have ever experienced at a hotel and the restaurant was so good that we ate there every night of our four night stay. The chef was happy to prepare alternative vegetarian dishes to add variety to the single starter and two main courses on the menu. The 'Tribute to the Dolomites' dessert was especially good. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and certainly provided a relaxing environment in a stunning alpine location.

We had very high expectations since this the newest 5 star hotel in Cortina, but it turned out to be a bit disappointing. On a positive side, everything is new and clean. Also, it was very nice that the hotel provides guests with free bicycles (of rather good quality). On a negative side, service is rather poor. Everyone is extremely cold and unwelcoming, which creates somewhat strange atmosphere on the hotel. Breakfast was just average (in fact average for lower grade hotels). Also, it was a bit disappointing that the spa center is open only from 10 till 20h.

A stunning place just outside of Cortina town centre. The hotel is fantastic, outside it is old fashioned but internally it is has a beautiful modern twist. Breakfast was good and included in the price. You could buy extras but just not necessary. The spa, sauna, steam room, gym and pool were excellent . Pity it was slightly out of town but otherwise perfect.

Nice and cute hotel

It is the newest and proabaly the nicest hotel in Cortina. Dont get rooms facing the main road. there is a slight road noise. Rooms are very nicely decorated. Spa is excellent. It doesnt have a lobby or a happening bar. it is a hotel to have peace and quiet or to go with a group of friends. I recomend that you rent a car to go arround.

Hoevery, we ate at the restaurant, which is supposed to have an amazing chef. Well, the food sucked, portions were small, my steak was like shoeleather. I've eaten all over Europe, especially Italy.
I do not recommend the restaurant for a good meal.

The location for the hotel was excellent. It was a nice walk into the town or the hotel had bikes with locks which were a great idea to help burn off the calories from the delicious Italian food. The room was great but I would have liked a larger window for a better view of the mountains and there was no air conditioning and the room was very warm. The spa facilities were excellent and they controlled where children could access which was great idea. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent.

with family of 4 i dont advice anyone who is visiting on summer due to no air conditioning i took there suite and it has 2 beds one is up on the roof which i dont like because going up and down its kinda weird and scary for kids u should not your kids going up there because the stairs are the twiscty type which is dangerous also the Internet is horrible signal is week i ended up standing by the room door just to get enough signal not worth the money expansive for nothing....

The Rosapetra is a fabulous hotel but the rooms are very small and are not air conditioned. We had a junior suite with a loft. It was unusually hot in Cortina during our stay. Without air conditioning or any windows in the loft area, the loft area was stifling despite leaving the French doors and windows open on the lower level. The hotel staff was very accommodating, the breakfast options were numerous and plentiful, and the spa/health club facilities were wonderful.

Me and my boyfriend had a really lovely romantic get away here. We went in November so managed to get an affordable deal due to it being off-season. The spa alone was worth the money and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was very nice but possibly a bit too fancy for us since we were on a budget. However a free shuttle bus meant we could get food in town easily too.

Luxury, views and good eating

Rosapetra is just over a kilometer out of Cortina, on the long distance cycling and walking path through the Dolomites. It is set in the midst of Alpine meadows and hamlets with views of the awe-inspiring peaks from every window.
The rooms are very tastefully fitted out in local pine, a blend of modern and traditional. As is usual in snow country, rooms are not huge. Bathrooms very well planned.

Beautiful and contemporary spa

We loved Rosapetra, conveniently close to centre of Cortina while still in a more pastoral setting. Fantastic indoor pool and spa to relax at end of the day. The dinner menu was interesting and well presented, veal and steak first class. Only complaint is gruffness of reception/manager who would not move us to the room next door even though it was empty, and he bald faced lied about the hotel being full. A little friendliness would be nice.

First class food. Excellent spa. Friendly staff. Immaculate room, if a little small. Location a little difficult without a car (although hotel shuttle runs into Cortina). With a car, beautiful Dolomites all around...

Enjoyable Stay

Extremely clean: room, bathroom, hallways.... Neat bedroom. Do not be fooled by the outside look, the interior design is exceptional. Although limited menu items in the restaurant, the food is very good. The water in the pool is cool given that there is no jacuzzi. It is an excellent hotel.

The hotel is excellent, and the service is sensational. The concierge and reception staff are very helpful and respond to everything very quickly. The location is very good for those who don't want to stay in the city center (like us).

The only point for improvement is the room cleanliness; we found some small items (makeup) from previous guests in places that would be easy to spot, but nothing that ruined the experience.

I recommend bringing swimwear to enjoy the spa, even in cold weather.

I highly recommend it and we will be back!

Hotel é puro charme e sofisticação, com uma vista das Dolomitas de tirar o fôlego. A área de SPA é um espetáculo à parte, a melhor das muitas que conhecemos nos Alpes. Apenas o restaurante que foi ok, mas não foi incrível. No geral, a experiência foi maravilhosa e queremos voltar!!

Ótimo resort em Cortina. Fica numa região mais distante do centro mas muito agradável com paisagem muito bonita. Oferece transfer gratuito ao centro e para as estações dos bondinhos da cidade. Na propriedade tem uma academia completa e moderna.

Hotel com potencial mas mal aproveitado. O Restaurante é fraco e o serviço do restaurante é muito mau. Nota-se que não há liderança do chefe de sala que não sabe receber clientes e os empregados passam o tempo na copa sem terem qualquer preocupação com o serviço ao clientes. A sala de jantar tinha somente 4 mesas postas o que dá um ambiente de abandono. Não se justifica o preço para o serviço oferecido. Não recomendo pois não correspondeu às expectativas.
