Eight is a lucky number

It was perfect.
The hotel was easy to access by car, and just a short walk from the main centre for restaurant and shops.
We were looked after so well, made to feel very much at home. The food was creative and beautifully presented.
The eight hotel was a generous and helpful hist for our stay. Would highly recommend it.

The property is gorgeous and staff is attentive and went above and beyond. However, there were major issues such as noise from the club downstairs and the air in the bathroom not turning off. If you want to relax and sleep this is not the place!

Overall good. Our room 102 was nice, but had no hooks and awkward space. Towels were crammed onto the side of the sink, as there are no racks or shelves so the bathroom was awkward. Hooks near the entrance would be really useful. Breakfast here is incredible with fabulous service. Bar drinks are pricey and came with attitude. Overall it’s beautiful but getting to and from ski hills is a bit of an ordeal. Be prepared to walk….

There was nothing we didnt like. Everything was perfect! The view from our room was amazing. The staff was even better. It was our first time at Cortina and probably our last since it is not an easy trip for us but if we ever go back, Hotel Europa would be our first choice.

Great days hiking with Europa Hotel as our base

Recently refurbished to a stylish high-spec. The staff were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great location, a super quick walk into town. Collapsed into the comfortable beds at the end of long days hiking. My only quibble was there was no way to access Netflix or Prime onto the big new TV, or even to stream from our phone/laptop. So bring a HDMI cable with you!

Good potential, selfish approach

Cute but small refurbished rooms. Unfortunately we were placed in a first floor road facing room issue being that the VIP club below which was great fun is unable to control any drunks fooling around during the morning hours. We only managed to fall asleep by 6am. Security is so capable of controlling the club entrance however totally disregard what ever happens once people exit the club and hang around.

great staff

Overall a great stay, we had a two separate stays, 2 and 1 night, room 302 and room 304. The latter was our favourite due to all round views. For me pillows weren’t comfortable, too thin but obviously it’s a personal thing. Also couldn’t adjust the heating, to warm. Staff were great, good location, own free parking, would use again. No parties going on which we had read in other reviews.

A great value gem in the heart of Cortina

Excellent location just at the edge of the town. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The breakfast selection was excellent.
The only downsides were no air conditioning and the room was very hot (we stayed during July), the blinds were quite thin and so the room got very light early in the morning, and there was quite a lot of noise from the street outside.

Beautiful older property with amazing helpful staff. We loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing. Internet was not reliable and it didn't stay logged in and reverted to data used. View was great. Easy to reach downtown for delicious food. Close to bus station.

Used this hotel for an overnight stay on way back to uk (my wife stayed in Limburg many years ago with her parents) easy walk to old town. Hotel staff were very friendly and the room comfortable. There was ample choice at breakfast the next day.

Convenient location, 8 mins from bus station or the beautiful town center where there are shops and restaurants. Close to ski resort as well. Great restaurant - both in the simplicity yet elegance in its decor as well as fine food and service. I think if the lobby has been updated to more inviting like the restaurant, it might help attract more outside guests to the restaurant.

However, as a a four-star hotel, I would expect body lotion being given as one of the toiletries esp. in the dry and cold winter

Nightclub within the hotel went on until 2am or 4am on the Saturday for a private function. Totally unreasonable when you're trying to sleep.

What a superb Alpine hotel, great service and local knowledge. We were out of season so all quite quiet which suited us. They are very biker friendly and the parking is safe and free.
The rooms are in the alpine style and were spotless and comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We honestly did not expect too much from this hotel, but were rather blow away by the quality of the facilities. The room was quite nice and clean, and smelled really good as well. The breakfast room was similarly lovely, and the hotel has very nice wood accents throughout, which give the entire place a welcoming mountain feel.

Noice from the street

This room did unfortunately not meet our expectations. The room was outdated. The bed and the pillows rock hard... The worst thing was the noise from the traffic during the morning and evening - and also the disturbance from the room neighbours. The room did not have any ventilation, so we needed to sleep with the window open. It was also impossible to shower, as there only was a bath tube, no shower cabin or curtain. The positive about the stay was the breakfast, it was good - and the location.

centrally located and within easy walking distance of bus stops (essential for skiing) and the pedestrianised main street this is a clean and comfortable hotel . My single room was a bit small but did have mini-bar and TV (Italian/German channels only) . There is a lift and a reasonable quality restaurant . Prices are moderate in a fairly pricey resort.

Lied about a refund & charged double for no sleep

Do not book with this hotel. We had such a terrible experience. We stayed here recently and on the Saturday night we were woken up at 2am by loud music. I went down to the lobby and there was security there and they were having a disco, which they do not tell you when you’re booking the hotel. We were right above it so we could hear the loud people and music. They said they turned the music down but as we were right above it we could hear the whole thing. THIS WENT ON UNTIL 5AM! So they charge you double for a Saturday night and then you don’t get to sleep!

I spoke to reception the next morning requesting to speak to management, after following up a couple of times I was informed that the manager was in fact who I had spoken to at 2am. I explained we weren’t happy and the lady at reception said they would give us money back when we checked-out.

When we went to checkout we were informed that because we booked through Expedia we would have to call Expedia to organise the refund with the hotel for the Saturday night.

So I call Expedia, they then tell us Hotel Europa denied the refund!!

This is totally unacceptable to have discos until 5am, nowhere on the website or anywhere states this. We wouldn’t have booked at this hotel had we known. And then to lie to us and say they will give us a refund for that night and then deny it! Do not stay here.

My stay for hiking the Dolomites

We found the hotel very comfortable, with very kind staff and with good breakfast. We could not see anything outside when we checked in because it was already dark, however, we saw beautiful mountains from our room when we woke up. It was amazing! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our bathroom seemed newly renovated and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. There was a wood burning fireplace in the lobby area and it was very cozy.

This hotel was superb in all respects. Location was wonderful. Exterior and interior appearance for prototypic for an Italian hotel in the Dolomites.It was an ideal hotel and in a phenomenal town. Are usually reference value in my reviews in,it's value was 10 out of 10. The staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We did receive a room upgrade which was fantastic in all respects. I can't say enough.Grand slam and I don't even follow baseball.

It's an older property, trying to keep up, but not quite worthy of 4 star. Comfortable lobby and ante-rooms, which is a good thing, since that's the only place WiFi works. Upstairs? Forget it. There's another access point, but the packets don't go anywhere! While waiting to check out, I overheard others trying to get WiFi in their rooms. Nope. Breakfast is nice, though. On main street, so you'll get some traffic noise. On the good side, there was a jetted bathtub in my room!

Charming hotel for one night

Hotel Europa was a charming, comfortable hotel for one night. It was easy walking distance to the main pedestrian area of town and had lovely views of the mountains. Breakfast was a typical European continental breakfast: cold meats, cheese, yogurt, and lots of pastries. The negatives were some noise from the street when the windows were open and inconsistent wifi connection.

Good quality hotel at a good price with nice communal areas providing warm rustic environments ( we loved the room with the fireplace ).

Authentic Cortina chalet in a great location

This hotel exceeded our expectations! It is quite cute and authentic. We stayed in a deluxe double room and, though very small, it offered lots of storage, was impeccably clean, and was warm and cozy over New Years.

The bar area is lively and the breakfast area (which is also their restaurant) has been tastefully renovated. Staff are formally dressed and well-mannered. This is a family run hotel. The location is also perfect for walking to the cable car which takes you up to the ski area. If we come back, we will stay here again.

Amazing hotel, perfect for fall hiking

This hotel is AMAZING. First of all, the decor/overall feel is just great. Everything is carved wood and cozy furniture. The hotel employees were extremely nice and very accommodating. The room was great for the value and had AMAZING views of the surrounding Dolomites. The buffet breakfast was perfect (and the packets of Nutella were ideal). Would highly recommend and stay here again. We were here in the early fall for hiking.

I cannot recommend this hotel. It had multiple problems:

1. The internet access is disgracefully slow and unreliable. Every couple of minutes I was logged out and had to manually re-login on the portal web page. Half the time that didn't work. Even when it did work, internet access was extremely slow. I complained to reception, who took a \"not our problem\" attitude.

2. The room was rather cold, and the heating couldn't be adjusted. I ended up repeatedly filling the bathtub with hot water in an effort to heat the room.

Very comfortable hotel and great location

A very clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel with outstanding views from our room balcony. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The open fire at night and good whiskey at the bar made this a memorable stay in the Dolomites. It's proximity to the bus station was also a great advantage.

This hotel is really great. Nice décor and feel for a mountain hotel. Staff was good - breakfast was as you would expect in an Italian hotel - cereals / yogurt / meat & cheese / breads and good coffee. Location was really good - close to downtown shopping area with shops and restaurants.

Very nice hotel

The Europa was a really nice hotel in Cortina. We only stayed one night but were very satisfied. Our room was quite large and had a beautiful view of the mountains and we could see the Olympic stadium from our room. The balcony was a nice extra and we also had a little dining table in the room. Great breakfast was included. Staff was very nice and attentive.

The hotel is located in the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, you can pretty much walk everywhere. Parking at the hotel makes it extra convenient. The staff are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. My only complaint would be the bed and pillow were a bit hard...maybe I'm spoiled but the pillow was very thin and I stuffed it with a couple towels for extra cushion! Other than that, loved the hotel!

Not a good value for money

I was given a very small room and quite different from what I saw on the pictures. I’m sure it was not a Junior Suite. Actually it was not a suite at all as it didn’t have any sitting place except for the tiny chair and desk. Decor was outdated, bathroom old and dark. Poor toiletries amenities and towels. Breakfast was good though but for almost 600 euros a night I expected much more.

Uno scandalo

5 stelle vanno al personale delle colazioni e dovrebbero tutti imparare da loro. Il parcheggio nella proprietà dell hotel e’ garantito solo agli amici o alle auto di prestigio. Pretendono le chiavi senza gestire la presa e la riconsegna solo per spostarti la macchina se devono parcheggiare quelle di lusso al tuo posto. Ho trovato un danno sulla parte alta della mia auto chiaramente fatto da un camioncino durante il carico e scarico sul retro dell hotel, fatto notare al personale e chiedendo di visionare le telecamere la risposta è’ stata ci dispiace non abbiamo telecamere solo una sulla porta dell ingresso del personale (tradotto arrangiati). Le camere che dicono essere ristrutturare lo sono a metà: gli armadi sono i vecchi vetusti, i bagni sono vecchi con rubinetti consumati dal tempo. Ho prenotato e pagato per una camera superior sul sito pubblicata per 20mq ma mi e’ stata assegnata una 3,5 mt per 3,5 mt più il bagno. Ho fatto notare il problema mi è’ stato risposto che quella camera fa parte delle superior perché ha vista Tofane. Tutto questo mi sembra uno scandalo. Consiglio di evitare questa struttura al cui prezzo potete soggiornare nei 4 stelle VERI!

rinnovato ma organizzazione pessima

le camere al primo piano sono rinnovate ma fino alle 5 della mattina sono avvolte nella musica della discoteca vip che si trova al piano terra nella lounge estensione della hall dell'hotel. Abbiamo chiesto tutti i giorni di controllare il termosifone nel bagno che non ha mai funzionato, sempre in bagno mancano i portasciugamani a parte quello sul bidet ed un gancio per gli usati, abbiamo chiesto tutti i giorni alla reception almeno uno sgabello per poter appoggiare i teli doccia e quelli per le mani ma non è stato portato e gli asciugamani nuovi ci venivano lasciati sul letto... Il massimo dell'assurdo raggiunto quando per poter entrare in discoteca ovviamente pagando regolarmente il biglietto ci hanno detto di uscire dall'hotel e fare la fila al freddo per rientrare nella hall condivisa con la discoteca nonostante la beffa di doverne sentire la musica in camera fino alle 5. Questo hotel non è consigliato per chi ha il sonno leggero almeno ai piani bassi. Colazione a buffet nella norma. Posizione dell'hotel ottima in centro ma non è possibile riservare il parcheggio che non sempre è disponibile. Rapporto prezzo/qualità e servizi enormemente sproporzionato.

Zeer gedateerd en kamer aan de voorkant erg gehorig door drukke verkeer en gasten Personeel erg onpersoonlijk. Je werd als gast bij binnenkomst en vertrek nauwelijks gezien.

En dehors de sa localisation a l entree de la ville, cet établissement ne vaut guère mieux qu un petit 3 étoiles!!
Personnel peu aimable, chambre exiguë et spartiate avec odeur de renfermé et très bruyant et sans climatisation.
Petit-déjeuner médiocre.
Rapport qualite/prix très décevant.

Immersione nelle Dolomiti

L'Hotel ha un'ottima location e, offrendo parcheggio gratuito, ti dà la possibilità di non muovere mai l'auto durante il soggiorno. Ottima la stanza con arredamento tipico, pavimento in legno con tappeti e terrazza circondata dalle splendide Dolomiti, con vista sul Faloria: emozionante!
Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
Lo consiglio vivamente.......

Hotel molto centrale, carino e accogliente. Camere superior con Jacuzzi nel bagno, confortevole dopo una giornata di trekking. Noi abbiamo cambiato camera dopo 2 giorni, perché la nostra n. 107 era una standard e per noi troppo angusta.
La colazione è buona. Non abbiamo cenato, ma il menu offriva varietà a prezzi equi. Vi è parcheggio il che è comodo. Le camere hanno i doppi vetri e aiutano a schermare per la maggior parte il rumore del traffico, che comunque non è un traffico cittadino.

Rustikales, in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, mit schönem Speisesaal. Warum das Hotel 4 Sterne hat, war uns nicht ersichtlich. Sehr einfaches Frühstück, Eierspeisen kosten extra.
Das Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße, wann sollte ein Zimmer zur anderen Seite nehmen.
Unser Zimmer war rustikal eingerichtet, das Badezimmer stammte vermutlich aus den 90ern.

Positiv:
+ Sauberkeit im Zimmer war super.
+ Lage. Nur wenige Schritte und man ist direkt im schönen Stadtzentrum.

Negativ:
- Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen und sehr dunkel, aber natürlich Geschmacksache :-)
- Personal beim Check In war leicht genervt.
- Frühstück, schlechter Kaffee aus der Kanne und viel abgepackte Lebensmittel.
- Zimmer zur Straßenseite sind aufgrund des Motorradverkehrs extrem laut.
