IMPORTANT:

1) limited free parking!! They charge for additional parking when their free parking is full.

2) Our room with a 'view of the lake' was largely blocked by the roof and a huge gutter pipe. We had to sit on the floor to see the lake.

Disappointed Stay – Not Worth the High Price

We stayed at this hotel for one night and paid more than $500 with the hope of enjoying a beautiful lake view. Unfortunately, the view was largely obstructed by part of the hotel’s own structure, which was not disclosed at the time of booking. The photos online were misleading and did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the room or the view.

While the front desk staff were polite and kind, they were unable to offer any solution or compensation. The room itself was quite outdated and in no way matched the premium rate we paid. Also, Breakfast was average, nothing special.

Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations, especially given the price. We felt misled by the presentation online, and we would not recommend this hotel to others. It’s simply not worth the money.

I don’t know why this hotel isn’t rated higher. We had a wonderful stay. The views are amazing from right there in front of the hotel and it’s a short walk to the dolomiti bus if you’re headed up to Rifugio Auronzo for one of the iconic hikes. The staff did their best to help us download the app for bus tickets and buy them, but we had trouble getting it to work, so I recommend walking to the bus stop-they sell tickets right there, and then do the Cadini di Misurina hike!!!! It’s amazing and you have great views of Tre Cime so if you’re short on time, that one is the must do! It’s not even a very long hike. We only spent one night here and we were so sad we didn’t stay longer!!! We had delicious food at the restaurant-my veal was the best meal of my entire trip-so amazing! And the breakfast was amazing too! Lots of delicious options! Staff was friendly and everything was great.

Grand Hotel Misurina is a popular destination nestled in the mountains and steps away from the lake. The area was bustling with tourists, hikers, and families, which made for a fun stay after long days hiking nearby. There is a convenient cafe/pharmacy right under the property which opens at 7am each morning. The complementary breakfast overlooks the lake, and dinner should you choose to opt in. We dined at an authentic, cozy pizza restaurant nearby both nights. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We loved our stay!

I truly don’t know how other reviewers had bad things to say about this hotel. We had a triple room with a lake view and although it wasn’t the best view it was still beautiful and true to the photoessay. The breakfast and dinner were fabulous. The dinner was 40euro/person but was a four course meal and worth it. It was a wonderful location and wonderful staff. Would definitely return.

Never seen a panic exit bar used inside a hotel room, but even more shocking is the toilet paper/grab bar/towel rack next to the toilet see complete plastic toilet seat with no lid! This is what being a platinum member gets you.

This property was a perfect location to stay hiking at Tre Cime Lavaredo. The room was very spacious and the view was great! There were plenty restaurants to go and the hotel breakfast was excellent! The complimentary parking was a bonus!! The staffs were all nice. Check in was little slow, but it was busy check in time. I would love to come back and stay in this hotel if I am able to come back to this awesome Dolomites!

We paid for a lake view suite, but the view was blocked by a big sign in front of our balcony unless you were standing. Hot tub was colder than the pool.

The bed was not comfortable. The meal at the hotel was 30 euros per person and it was not good. My steak was inedible with so much connective tissue and tendons. I couldn't even chew and swallow. I would not stay here again and would definitely never eat here again.

This property is in the Italian Alps and is therefore a distance from a town- like setting. It is fully self contained and beautiful. The staff were very attentive and both breakfast and dinner meals were great. It rained a fair amount the first day of our stay, but in some ways that added to the ambiance. Well worth visiting!

The hotel is idea for visiting some of the Dolomites. It is very close to Tre Cime di Lavaredo. They serve a wonderful breakfast buffet that is included. The indoor pool is wonderful, clean and modern. The one negative thing is in Aug they are turning on the heat morning and evening. We were on the fourth floor and our upstairs room was terribly hot. We had to ask for sheets because the comforters were down filled. We inquired about the heat and they couldn't do anything about it. We asked for a fan and they didn't have any. There is no air conditioning because most times they dont need it. Overall great place otherwise.

A perfect location to explore the Dolomites! Tre Cime is very close! Comfortable. Friendly staff. Fantastic views. Several restaurants in walking distance. A great shop for hiking gear - Lavaredo Sport - is connected to the front of the hotel (we had to replace all of ours when the airline lost our luggage). There is also a small grocery store. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lake is beautiful and the views are outstanding

The hotel is not new, it’s in the traditional alpine style, perhaps a little dated in parts, but it is clean, comfortable and warm and suited our purposes. Bathrooms are functional, shower was good. There was no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms but the bar staff supplied a pot of hot water and cups for us to make our own tea, and glasses for water or wine when asked.
You could probably argue a bottle of water and a glass isn’t too much to ask for a 4* hotel, given the dehydrating effects of altitude.
Whatever the hotel doesn’t supply can be purchased in the Spar store below, facing the lake; water, wine, beer, snacks, plasters for blisters, shampoo, conditioner etc. Ski hire is available in the next store.

Breakfast, the buffet has a good selection of delicious fresh pastries, some fruit, meats and cheeses etc.

The dinner menu includes an amazing buffet of fabulous vegetables and salads. It would be nice to have a fixed price for just the buffet rather than the whole dinner menu. It’s €30 for the dinner menu of 4 courses, so €15 for the buffet would be reasonable, even €20 as the soup and fresh fruit were also on the buffet, giving you a decent 3 course supper. The extra two courses and puddings were good but not remarkable.
The location is fantastic.

Misurina - the good and the bad

There are positives and negatives about the Hotel Misurina. First, the location - fantastic. An amazing view (see pic). Easy to get to Cortina or Tre Cime. If this is the most important element of your stay, or the hotel is simply a place to sleep, then this hotel is fine. Our room (Suite with lake view) was ok. Lots of space, clean, great view. But a bit tired and worn. The breakfast was poor. There's lots of it, but of variable quality. Fruit, cake and croissants were good; scrambled egg, bacon and sausages were awful - just stodge. There are 2 self service coffee machines which give bland coffee (this is Italy after all - the coffee should be amazing!) I asked for a cappuccino from a waiter, ie not from the machine. Not much difference. The breakfast service finished at 09.30, so don't sleep in. Breakfast feels overcrowded and rushed. The front desk were ok, but not particularly friendly and not particularly knowledgable about the area. We didn't trust the hotel for dinner and went for an excellent pizza next door. All in all the hotel feels a bit tired, overworked, and in need of some care, attention and investment. We were there in low season (October), it will be rammed, and more stressed, in high season... If you just need a base from which to explore the area, and the hotel is just for sleeping, then it's fine. As a 4* hotel though it feels tired...

The property was nice, but I had a bad experience with the restaurant manager. He was clearly discriminatory for whatever reason. There is a large dining area for guests during breakfast/dinner with many tables. The first morning I apparently sat at a table with a \"reserved\" tag without realizing it and instead of moving me to many tables with no reserve tag he moved me far away from the dining area and all others, next to the bar. It seemed strange, but I was humble and gracious and didn't say anything. That night I came in and got a glass of wine at the bar. The bartender was nice and I asked her if I could grab a seat pointing to the empty dining area, and she said yes of course. As soon as I sat, out of nowhere the restaurant manager comes up to me and asks me not to sit there. There was no business, the place was empty, and it didn't make sense. On the 3rd day, I went to breakfast and made sure I sat at a corner table with no reservation tag out of fear he would come up to me. Sure enough, he comes up and says, sir, you cannot sit there, this table is reserved. I said, there's no reservation tag, and many others with sitting down at tables around me with no reservation tags, and were not asked to move. He put me far on the other side of the dining area, away from everyone. I felt like an unwanted guest. Very uncomfortable. I complained to the manager, but the whole experience was upsetting and I would not return because of it.

We greatly appreciate the hotel for giving us a beautiful room with a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains. We wish we could have more time to stay longer! We were also very lucky with parking as we happened to pull into the parking lot when another car was leaving even though the whole parking lot was full. We booked the rate that included both dinner and breakfast, and the restaurant was packed with people when we arrived. We were assigned to a table in the back which was furthest away from the window with the excellent lake view, but we didn’t mind about that “no-view” location since we had an excellent view from our own room. We were hoping to get back to our room sooner to enjoy the room and rest after our hike up to Tre Cime, but the service in the dining room was quite slow especially when we were tucked in the back of the restaurant. The set 4-course menu had several choices for appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert. What the waiter didn’t tell us and was not written on the set menu was the included all-you-can-eat salad with lettuce, tomatoes, corn, cabbage, and beets was available. We saw other diners coming back to their table with a plate of salad so I went to ask one of the staff, who immediately accompanied me to the salad area and assembled a generous salad plate based on my choices. After other nearby diners had gotten their dessert, I went to remind our waiter to bring ours and he brought us 3 desserts to share.

+ This hotel is very good location. It has supermarket and bus stop behind the hotel. Just walk 5 mins. And the reception is very friendly.

- Before I come i ask for book the parking but the staff said it ok do not book it. But they don't have enough car parking when i arrived so we need to find another parking lot nearby and pay the fee.
- In the morning we waiting the staff in front of restaurant around 10 mins for breakfast but no one come so we choose the table by ourselve and queue for wait staffs take us the food around 30 mins. you just see on the table what they have and told the staff behind the table they will take it to your dish and give it to you. Then we go back to our table and one staff come and say like what is your room then he see the paper under tablecloth and said this is not your table you need to change so i ask him to bring us to our room table and i find the note under tablecloth it have nothing no room No. and i think this table has someone use before we come and they finish becase the new table have sauce and break but this table do not have and next table near us have a lot of used dishes. It is make me so upset with your service.
- the wall room is very thin my room is near the stair and the next room has a baby so we hear the noisy all night.

We could not find a place to stay around and we decided to book this hotel. We were not so convinced at the beginning since the pictures of the rooms were a bit dark and the bedsheets very old style. We had no better choice, so we decided to book it last minute. We arrived a few minutes after the booking, in the afternoon. The system could not find us and they asked us to wait in the lobby until they could find our booking. In the end we didn't have to wait that long and we got an upgraded room that had another floor with a sofa, it was like a duplex. The bedroom had lake views, and was brighter than in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. We had internet in the room, some of the comments I read were saying that there was just internet in the common areas. Regarding the buffet breakfast, due to covid reasons you have to cue with the other guests and ask what you want to the staff, they will put it on your plate for you. Also you have to be careful where you sit, the tables were not reserved and we just sat in the first free table we saw. A few minutes later, when we already were eating, the waiter came and told us that this table was reserved for people that had booked also dinner. Since we had booked just 1 night with breakfast, we had move to another table immediately. Even if we already started eating our breakfast. It was very uncomfortable, we felt like we did something wrong. The table we got afterwards was smaller and no views. A clear downgrade. Not good CRM!

Hotel is dated but generally clean. Had issues being allowed to eat in the restaurant for dinner, so be sure to check when booking. Breakfast was just a minor issue. Staff is very friendly for the most part. Parking can be a challenge. WiFi is limited to the downstairs lobby area and is slow. - don't expect any in the rooms. Beds are very firm, at least in the 2 rooms I have stayed in.

Hotel is in beautiful location. Reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. We were upgraded to a suite with balcony facing the lake which was very nice and on first glance, were very nice rooms (bedroom and lounge). Not sure how the hotel has been given a 4 star rating as is more like a 2 - 3 star hotel. Maybe because it has a pool and spa (extra cost) that it was given 4 stars? The rooms are very tired, wires hanging out of the plug socket in our bedroom, old style bathroom with barely any room to sit straight on the loo as the shower was in the way, and I'm short!
Breakfast was very good and with plentiful choice and has free parking.

Perfect location for heading off to Le Tre Cime. Great restaurants nearby and shops. Beautiful setting for my holiday. Fantastic breakfast. I don't mind no WiFi in the bedroom but downstairs in the common areas. Helpful staff. A bit of competition for car parking spaces but staff can advise on options if full. There is a bar and opportunity to meet or chat to other guests. The whole area of Misurina is lovely.

Grand Hotel Misurina is a perfect starting point for hiking around the beautiful Tre Cime (Drei Zinnen) region in the Italian Dolomites. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean. No Wi-Fi in the rooms though, only around the reception and the restaurant, free of charge. The hotel presents very good deal, with breakfast and dinner - both excellent - included in the price (even wine and beer on tap are included - as much as you can/want to drink!). I particularly liked the wellness area with a lovely swimming pool (quite deep, not for children), and a great sauna and a steam bath (entrance EUR 10).
After dinner around the bar area, there was pleasant live music and generally, good fun!
Would stay again, definitely.

Our room at the hotel was quite large and very clean. Although the staff does a great job at maintaining it, you can tell that the hotel is a bit worn around the edges. We visited at the end of August. The hotel was completely full and the staff tried hard to keep up but they were pretty frazzled. Overall, it was a good place to stay and I would recommend it if you are visiting that area.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay here. You can tell the hotel was built a while back, but we had a very large nice room with a full table and couch and views of the lake. The breakfast was a very nice spread, and the evening entertainment (random DJ and funny lights) was fun/ hilarious and made better by a drink on the house from the friendly bartender! Overall I would recommend.

Great location next to the lake Misurina. Our room had a wonderful view towards the lake. The room was large and unfurnished so it felt quite cold and uninviting.
The mattress was extremely hard.

Breakfast was rather poor and chaotic.

All in all we did have a pleasant stay but I find it hard to believe that it is a four star hotel.

Beautiful setting. Facilities need updating.

The staff on the front desk (especially Luca and Daniela) were very friendly as were the cleaners in the hotel. However, the staff in the dining room were unfriendly. The setting of the hotel is magnificent. We went for a number of early morning walks around the lake which were stunning. Perfect setting to explore other areas like Monte Piana and the tre Cime di Lavaredo. However, the fact that a 4 star hotel does not have free wifi in this day and age is unacceptable.

Old and decayed hotel, the bathroom was very limited and the air dryer was working intermittently.
Food was not very good either. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel, 2 stars would have been the proper rating. Service was friendly and efficient.

Family stay on Lago di Misurina

Stayed for 1 night in July. Family of 4 in a quadruple room on half board. Terrific location on the edge of Lake Misurina and a short drive from Cortina in one direction and the Tre Cime di Laveredo in the other. The hotel was very popular with tour groups and the staff handled dinner by pre-assigning tables and by asking dinner guests to mark their choices on the menu. Not experienced that since I was at school! Breakfast was a bit of a free-for-all as well. No safe in the room. Good, not great.

Gem in the Dolomites with an Austrian flavor

Check in was problematic. Desk clerk charged us double then was unable to credit our account. We were given a cash refund for the mistake which gave us unneeded and leftover euros at the end of our trip. The head waiter in the dining room was less than friendly when we enquired about a table reservation. Overall the place was a most pleasant and beautiful experience. The vistas are not to be missed and yes we would book again at this gem in. Northern Italy.

Great location for walking the Dolomites

Lovely location right by the lake, supermarket next door, car hire probably essential, stunning scenery and had some lovely walks. Hotel had swimming pool but you have to wear a hat so did not bother. Food good but not classy, two nights buffet only and three nights buffet plus three course, you will not go hungry. Buffet breakfast excellent coffee machine includes hot chocolate, lattes etc. Staff excellent but due to proximity with Austria more german speaking here than Italian. rooms large, with kitchen but basic ski chalet style. large balcony. Would recommend

I love this hotel...

We loved this hotel but it probably is not what you think it is going to be. For us it had the quintessential italianness where everything is done with the best intentions but does not always work. Evening meals are a bit of a lottery and there are no instructions. Dont get me wrong, the food was brilliant but organisationally it sometimes went awry. The swimming pool and the fitness area were great for the day when it rained. We were travelling by bus and it was very convenient - we only had to cross the road. All in all, Brilliant and gave us unlimited talking points for the rest of the year. Most of the staff - bar, waiters and reception were excellent with particular reference to Giovanni and Paolo

Hiking holiday

Second time in this hotel, now 3 nights. Location is great for Tre Cime and other hikes. Food was good. Only complain we had, was exceptionally loud noices, which came from corridor and other rooms. Not possible to sleep without ear plugs.

En slidt ældre hotel som vi fortrød at have booket i to nætter. Ligger fint ift 3Zinnen. Men det er slidt og ikke super komfortabelt.
Man ser udsigten på alle billeder også vores foto - men i virkeligheden er der meget trafik.
