Just the basics which is all I wanted. Room and bathroom were clean, floor was a little bizarre the slats had definitely started to fail long ago but was still clean. Breakfast was as simple as can be ( it IS advertised this way, just don’t be surprised by how “light” it really is), but the coffee was at least good and the pastries were tasty for being packaged. Shame the vending machine was totally empty and soda machine was mostly empty. I’d stay there again, just need a quiet place to sleep and a shower, but anyone expecting anything more you’ll have to shell out more $$ for it in the area.
The nighttime desk lady was very pleasant and funny, the lady in the morning could use some hospitality pointers

The place is very run down and old. The curtains had moth holes the sink clogged instantly, and there was no breakfast. The heat worked well so I assume the AC would too. It seemed like they had \"long term\" housing there which was not okay with us.

Inital room was above entrance and outdoor smoking area. The room smelled smoky so we requested a change. Second room was already occupied. Final room given us was fine initally until around 12 midnight until approximately 3 am when neighboring room was noisy (banging againat wall) and also filled with smoking of all substances. They in fact stuffed towels under the the door to hide the smoke from escaping into the hall. We had hoped they would conk out but not until 3 am. We didn't want to move again (even if another room was even available) at that late hour. Disappointed on many levels since we've stayed here often in the past with far less troubles. Seems like now the residents of this property are more long term, possibly section 8.

Room carpet appeared dirty. Dresser and Table edges were very worn showing compressed board interior. Nightstand lamps were not working because they were not plugged in. I found the outlet behind the head of the bed. There was no cover and the outlet was not fully secured. The shower went from hot to cold to hot; not comfortable.

There water wasn’t hot it took forever just to get warm water. Our room was never cleaned and our beds weren’t made garbage wasn’t emptied we had to go to the front desk ourselves for new towels. The tv couldn’t keep a signal for more than five minutes at a time. It was horrible.

The front desk staff were cordial and friendly, however the hotel room and its surroundings were quite an abomination. The room was filthy and smelly and unkept. There were problems with almost every aspect of the room’s condition. The bed was very uncomfortable, all of the furniture, walls carpets were stained and chipped. The shower had no real functional head and the tub mat was old and slippery. It was not a pleasant experience. This hotel needs to be checked for quality control and safety.

The first room I was given had not been made up. The second had a hole in the wall where someone had slammed the door open. Be careful with the shower. Water temp changes dramatically without warning. No maid service after first night. Bed was comfortable. Generally clean and serviceable

Recently stayed in the Super 8 Wyndham in Portland ME and the building, rooms, and facilities there were much newer and in better shape than here in Kingston. Motel is in need of a remodel, bed was not very comfortable. “Breakfast” was coffee and pre-packaged muffins, granola bars, or instant oatmeal. Fine accommodations for the price but wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Old badly maintained hotel, rooms were not clean, bathrooms had cracks all over, door was not closing properly, bedsheets were may be not cleaned , had wrinkles all over, carpets were stinky. Icing on cake, midnight false fire alarm caused our sleep and peace of mind. They charge around $100 per night may be a $40 day motel max. Never recommended for families, we somehow survived a day !!!

First of all, we when we arrived, we had a hard time determining if we were at the right place, because there were no lights outside. The parking lot was dark and unsafe to walk across. We told the clerk, and she had to call a manager to find out how to reset the fuse so the lights would come on. Also, we were not informed ahead of time that we would be required to pay a $100 security deposit when we checked in. Also, the room desperately needed updating and cleaning. The floor had not been vacuumed, the brass lamp was covered with corrosion, the sink surface was crackled, and everything was old. At 10:15 on our first night there, all the fire alarms went off, and all guests were told to go outside and wait while the fire department checked out the building. It was a false alarm, which the fire chief told us was caused by an old, faulty fire system. He said it has happened before. We also found out that a wing of the hotel is used by the town to house homeless people and the local government paid for them. We would never book a room at this hotel again. I do have to say that the staff was wonderful, the best part of our stay there.

The hotel was conveniently located of the NY Thruway. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel needs an overhaul. The rug in our room had to be over 40 years old. I cant say it was stained but the room had a musty old smell. The bathroom sink and tub were definitely from the 80s. No matter how much you scrub it wont come clean. We could hear the noises from the room above us. A staff member entered our room without knocking. The vending machines were empty. No water. Ive been to nicer budget hotels. This one was overpriced for what you got.

The bad. Don’t advertise free breakfast when all you’re are offered is instant oatmeal and a granola bar with watered down coffee. That’s not even worthy of a continental breakfast.

Here’s a thought. Try vacuuming your hallways. Try hiring staff who actually make eye contact and at least say hello and welcome upon your arrival.

One thing that really irritates me is when room don't have complete coverage of the widows for privacy, but also for keeping the light out of the room so you can sleep in a dark environment. The neighbor had a very bright light that shined into the room making it hard to sleep.

The “free breakfast “ consisted of watered down orange juice or lemonade, coffee some teas and pre made mini blueberry muffins. But I wasn’t looking for a great breakfast just a good hotel to stay in for a few days and not pay the expensive price it would have cost to stay in Woodstock.

The room was a nice size. The duvet cover was slightly stained and needs a good thorough wash.
The blankets and sheets and pillowcases on the bed were spotless, not a speck of lint, crisp and clean, no stains, so that was a huge relief.
The basic chair in the room also had a slightly stained cushion, the dark navy and blue fabric of the chair and the color and fabric of the duvet cover on the bed hid a lot of infrequent cleaning.
The bathroom was dated but clean. The faucet in the shower was just replaced and was very hard to operate to get the water to flow. We had to get the hotel staff involved because we felt we were using too much force to pull out the knob, we felt that we were going to rip it off if we pulled harder. But apparently that was needed since the faucets were new, as so we were told by the staff. The hot water was HOT, and if used full force it would have been too hot. So for all you lobster types that like hot boiling water for your shower, this place has it.

The paint on the inside door of the bathroom was well worn and scuffed, lending to a bit of shabbiness to the feel of the hotel.

The carpet in the room was vacuumed, but the carpet in the hallway and in the stairwell to get to the second floor is severely dirty and needs a deep steam clean. No amount of vacuuming will make the carpet appear clean. The dinginess of dirt needs a steam clean.

The overall perception is that the hotel appears basically clean, but extra deep cleaning is required.

A little disappointed that upon my 7pm arrival my room was not ready, as cleaning staff I learned was virtually nonexistent at that hour...BUT the hotel manager (the only one working, alongside her trainee) rushed from the desk and cleaned the room herself, which I thought was first-class, above-and-beyond. Other than this, a perfectly fine stopover at a decent hotel.

Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations, as the areas we saw felt somewhat dirty, dim, and not very well maintained. The air conditioner in our room was making a loud noise making it unable to be used. We switched our original room because of a dampness smell which could affect my wife's asthma. The second room we were shown smelled like dirty feet. Only the compassion of the female desk clerk allowed us to at least get a cleaner, non odorous room. She was extremely diligent and supportive. The room was on the second floor and the facility had no elevator, The dining \"room\" was too small and the breakfast served leaved a lot to be desired. Also the vending machine was totally empty for snacks. Housekeeping did not clean our room after the first night. Overall a regretful experience except for the desk clerk.

Moldy and bad smell in the bedroom. The carpets felt moist. Bathroom scent had a hint of vomit and the bathtub had hair in it from a previous guest. Everything else in the room was functional (TV, Air-conditioner, refrigerator, etc.). Previous reviews for this room showed exceptional and that was not the current experience. I hope this honest review helps.

The parking lot provided automobiles just a few feet from my head. The room was so musty. I had to keep the window open, even though there was no screen on the window of the shower and bathroom were musty. We were on the 2nd floor with an elderly dog unable to use stairs, in a motel with no elevator, so he was carried throughout the stay. The hairdryer was cracked and did not work at all. There was no iron or ironing board in the room.

Never mind the facilities being outdated, the permanent residents are unsettling. Drug deals going on through the windows and outside the doors. People are smoking weed inside causing the fire alarm to go off. There were people running up and down the stairs all night as well as slamming doors. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. My bed also had no pillow cases on the pillows and the towels in the bathroom were damp upon arrival.
