I know it's tough to run a business, but we stayed at a nice clean Howard Johnson last week for $10 less. Such an outdated place. Rooms need a total makeover. Sink, tub, bathroom floor and mattress. Loud trucks regularly disturbing our sleep. Did not leave rested at all.

First the man at the front was rude then I went to my room and the sheets and comforter was dirty along with holes burnt in sheets and comforter. The chair in the room had dirt or something in the sit it was horrible and when I went back to tell the man at front he just said okay just leave then I tried to show him the pictures I took and he said no just leave.

We arrived and the office was closed. We couldn’t check in on our first day and only stayed one night. Although the room was clean, we felt like the hotel was being used for other things than just sleeping. Disappointing to say the least. The front desk when we finally checked in said they weren’t supposed to be closed, the person left early.

Last minute decision to stop and get a room but I was getting sleepy and thought it was best. Lady working overnight shift at the front desk was really friendly. Coffee in the lobby was great! They use a Kuireg machine, which was a little surprising, but it was a kind I’d never heard of but was really good. Older motel and you can hear people talking outside. Housekeeping girls came by early knocking on the doors. I guess they wanted to wake everyone up so they would leave and the girls could get done and go home. I don’t blame them but once they knock on your door then start hollering at each other from across the parking lot, it’s hard to get back to sleep. There was something mysterious spilled on the bathroom sink counter. Looked like hair gel or conditioner?? Shower was stained, but it’s an older place and may have just been age related. I decided not to shower. Bed was comfortable and better than the pictures. I noticed little black spots on the sheets in the morning. Not sure if they were tiny bugs or some kind or odd stains. I didn’t notice anything when I got in bed and it didn’t feel like bugs were crawling. It may have just been older sheets. It honestly seemed clean and smelled good and was comfortable. Just a few small things gave me pause.

They beat on the door at 8am wanting to spray for bugs. They have no coffee for their coffee pot. No washer or dryer. I just couldnt believe we could not get any clean towels for 3 days.

Lady at the desk was rude from start to finish. The non smoking room stunk of stale cigarettes. There were holes and broken locks all over the room. They do not have 1 towel or blanket to spare. The parking lot was not kept up with. The whole place was disgusting.

This is a horrible place. The front door light doesn’t work as you get in the room. For a first floor unit, the front door security latch doesn’t work. The light above the sink, doesn’t work. The only light that works was in the bathroom.

STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE LIFE
Well let’s start at the beginning- a he lady at the check out counter was very nice staff was very friendly but after having a room “cleaned” we moved the car and parked in front of our assigned room and the fun started when I tried to open the door with the key card. The key card would not work and while I was trying to open the door it’s the key card I noticed a large gap in the door and door frame that looked like the door had been broken into. I against better judgment went inside the room. The room smelled like cigarettes and cheap escorts. Knowing that I was not to impressed my friend walked to the bathroom and the WOODEN door had a hole punched through it, don’t worry though someone had patched it with dry wall putty. After that discovery I was ready to leave and as I was about to ask my friend if he wanted to leave we saw cigarette burns on the sink and a large cockroach and huge mosquito crawled/flew in the room. At this point we just left the entire premises and as we were in the car we heard people saying don’t leave we saw an iPad in the car along with a lady who was passed out on pick nick table we nicknamed “meth Mary” we left immediately after.

Smoke detector was beeping, called the front desk. Was told to take the battery out, I said I was not comfortable with that, was told to come down & get a battery & have my husband change it because she couldn’t climb the stairs to the second floor. It was very cold in the room, it took hours for it to warm up. No blankets on the beds just sheet and bedspread. Toilet did not flush in the morning.

Quick check in and helpful front desk. For a dog friendly place room was clean and didn't smell like dog. Only downside is that there are no sit down places to eat without having to get back into the car. After a long drive thru Florida and Georgia it's just far enough into Tennessee.

I didn't like that the sheets looked like they hadn't been changed since they had a cigarette burn on them from a previous tenant. I didn't like that the shower curtains and drain seemed dirty making the whole bathroom appear dirty. I didn't like that the walls were thin enough that you could hear loud noises from the other rooms.

Arrived at 1030pm after driving 12 hours. Just needed a spot to sleep. I did not take my socks off. Carpet was sticky. Bathroom toilet ran all night. Light in the bathroom was burnt out. No way to keep light out of the room in the morning because the curtains did not cover the top of the windows. Was fine with us. We wanted out asap. They had a portable air cleaner on the counter trying to get the stink out of the room. If we were not so tired , we would have received our money back and slept in the car. The lady at check in was very polite and nice.
