We got a suite with a spa tub. The room was fine but the tub was nasty. I had a greasy ring around the tub. We brought cleaners and cleaned the tub squeaky clean. After we ran another tub there was the grease ring again. Have no idea how that could be happening. It was nasty.

so this was my experience in less than 10 sentences. I booked on expedia at around 10 pm not knowing there was a pet fee, because it’s not possible to pay the fee before check-in. I then try to pay the pet fee when we checked in and it’s only cash. Then, when I finally use the ATM and get my room key, there are bugs. I don’t know if there was an infestation or anything and I was not staying to investigate. A bug is a bug and if I see something hide away into my sheets I’m not sleeping there. We arrived at almost 2 am so Im really upset it didn’t work. Also they are non refundable so keep that in mind.

Poor outdoor lighting, lobby smelled like someone’s dinner, clerk barely spoke English. Clerk illegally gave out my room outloud with a man standing behind me. Asked if he knew it was illegal to say room number outloud, he said”Yes.” Then he said room was on first floor outside and the key/door was hard to open.
He made me a target for the man behind me.
indeed the door was impossible to open so I left.

We drove 15 hours that day,after midnight we checked in an immediately walking in the door the smell was so bad my husband walked out and started looking for another hotel. Unfortunately there was nothing available so the attendant apologized and gave me a can of Lysol. He said there were no other rooms available. We slept 5 hours and left ASAP. Grabbed coffee and breakfast on the road. Found a much nicer hotel that cost less and we were able to get a good sleep. The wall by the door was full of holes and peeled off paint. When I turned the water on in the sink the smell was nasty but the room smell was a musty urine smell.

Quick check in. Wanted a first floor room and had to beg to get it. Should have put that in my reservation request. Breakfast is not much unless you want cold cereal or a waffle. But Waffle House and Shoney’s is 1 minute away. It was quiet and all the guests respectful. They asked each day is I wanted maid service. Beds we’re comfortable.

I stayed here for one night and will never return.
The hotel is in desperate need of renovation—it has a noticeable odor, and the rooms are extremely outdated. I used the vending machine to buy a drink, inserted $5, and didn’t receive my change. When I brought it up to the front desk, the staff member was rude and simply gave me the manager’s number. I called the manager, but he was also dismissive, claiming the vending machines aren’t their responsibility and that he had no proof I actually put in $5. He then hung up on me. Completely unacceptable customer service.

It was fine. Bed was great. TV didn't work but the owner came and got it working. I would have liked to have been downstairs, but no biggie. It was right across the street from good food and gas and close to where I needed to go. No frills, but that's ok. I just can't believe a little hotel room like that is $120 per night for 1 person. Oh well.

place was awful. firstly started out by getting my room cancelled last minute for no reason and when calling them to figure out why they highly rude and wouldn’t let me speak and kept yelling at me and it wasn’t until i called the bigger hotel owners that attitudes were changed and things were straightened out. first day there was a roach in a light socket (we have pictures) showed the manager and he argued with us that it’s normal and they’re just coming in from the weather (it was just raining y’all are just dirty) and when asking the front desk people what they were going to do about it they just handed a can of bug spray the next morning a random man that claimed to be “room service” (highly unlikely) just walked into our room at 7:30 in the morning, same man stood outside in the corner for about an hour.

There was mold everywhere in our bathroom.
Cobwebs and spiders. I have picture. We only stayed one night versus the 4-5 we signed up for. We asked the owner/manager to give us another room. He said “sorry you booked through Expedia my hands are tied”. I explained we were checking out after only one night, he again repeated we should have booked through his Hotel and not Expedia. I asked if he had the number for Expedia and he said no he didn’t. I tried calling Expedia, and the only person I could reach kept trying to sell me something. This is our first and last experience with this horrible hotel and Expedia. I have instructed American Express to dispute this charge and will be sending Amex photos of this horrible Hotel! I don’t know what type of Vetting you all perform, however I will tell you in my 40 years of travel this was one if not the worst place we have ever stayed. Based upon the phone assistance I was given the day after check out I truly don’t expect to hear from anyone at Expedia!

The hotel was not very full that evening not was it very full at 0500 that morning when I left so why would I be on the second floor? Because there was a concert in Knoxville that night and they were hoping to get more business. They did not. I signed a statement showing I had checked in but there was no amount on what I would be charged. When questioned, I was told they do not see the charges/agreements made between Expedia and I. You can bet they knew how much the rate was because she said I was lucky I got the room for around a 100$ because tonight they were going for over $200. The fire alarm in the room was hanging down from the wall. Stink bugs were in the room. I caught 3 in a cup and let them go, mirror was very slanted, commode was stopped up, pool had a green tint to it, and my comforter had several stains on it. Will not be staying here again unless I am desperate.

Room was nice, staff was good, breakfast was pretty good, but the pool was awful. Very cloudy and lots of stuff floating. Need cleaned and chlorine perhaps, that was disappointing, but other than that, it was ok.

When I arrived I had inadvertently booked a smoking room, this was not acceptable to me as my husband has heart conditions. I tried to cancel with the property on site but, because of the hour 5:30 pm they would not cancel. I was going to book another upgraded room at the same motel. Expedia rep. could not satisfy my request either. We stayed in the room and we were very uncomfortable because of the imbedded smoke. Also, the rooms were not remodeled as the listing had offered. We will not be staying there again!!!

Check in was tough, once I opened the room, it smelled so bad, TV did not work, refrigerator was turned off and opened with a soaked towel inside, phone did not work, TV was fixed later, but horrible, this TV and the channels were like 20 yrs back, no guide, the remote and TV do not collaborate, the shower curtain rod is in a weird shape, the curtain did not stand, it drops to the middle, btw, the mattress was good, luckily. The cleaning lady did not stop blowing the patio even when I was standing there, the swimming pool water was not transparent, someone must have mixed a couple of gallons of milk in it. Do not recommend this for more than $40 a night. Very bad experience. Should have read the reviews… it was hard to find the breakfast room , when I found it, they had baby bagels, never seen that in any of the hotels that I stayed before. Very limited choice, the coffee was so bad. BTW, the banana was good. No one was available in the front desk when needed. We rank the bell several times. Great hotel, but not recommended.

Horrible Hotel - Do not recommend staying here

This is a horrible hotel. We traveled from Florida back to Michigan and needed 2 rooms for the night. One for us and one for our daughter and her 2 year old baby. Upon checking in we discovered the rooms were filthy. Smelled like urine, broken bathroom door and feces on wall. Strangers outside our door and next to car smoking dope and other substances. Not comfortable having my granddaughter stay there. Not a safe place or clean. We brought it to the owners attention and he agreed to give us a refund. We drive down the road to find a safer cleaner place to stay. The owner has now denied it all and will not give us the refund. This place needs to be shut down. I should have read the other reviews because they are all bad. Horrible owner, disgusting hotel. I would not recommend anyone stay there ever!

The \"suit\" with the jet tub was no where near worth it. One look and you can immediately tell that it's best for your health to not even attempt to take a bath in it, as it was disgusting. As well as the place it self is pretty \"sketchy\" at best. People playing basketball on the breeze way all night, people in and out, yelling carrying on. It is shocking that \"best western\" allows their name on the place. It was dirty. They should ask, $59-$69 a night. That's about what it's worth. Not the worst, but definitely not good.

(2 nights stay) I was over charged for one of my dogs, we brought 2. One dog is 15 lbs and the other is 45 pounds. I found out later that any dogs over 30 lbs will be $30 per night and dogs under 30 lbs will be $20 per night. I was charged $30 per dogs regardless. Before I booked my room, it’s stated online that the pet fee is $10 per pet per night. So, I was surprised when I had to pay $120 at check in. I should had walked out, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of looking for another hotel as we’re already exhausted from our road trip. Upon entering our hotel room, we was greeted by a strong musky odor. Not pleasant at all. Will not book with Surestay again.

The place was dirty with moldy shower. The shower handle was loose and ready to fall off the wall. We ordered non smoking room and were placed in a smoking room. The sad part is that the place is completely overpriced for all that you get. We tried to get banana to go because nothing else looked good and we were told no. Very disappointing stay

My stay was mostly comfortable but NOT without issues. First & most importantly the top latch that assists in securing the door was broken, that is a MUST FIX!! Secondly i ran out of toilet paper, there were 2 partially used rolls but it didn't take much to use up the supply, there should ALWAYS be AT LEAST one wrapped (never been used) roll of toilet paper in a hotel bathroom included with the rolls that are already there and have been used!

The service staff entered the room with the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door handle and charged me another room rate for a 3rd person accompanying me on the trip instead of an additional person rate. Any trips in the future i will not stay at a Sure Stay. A total rip-off and not pleased with the way the manager handled the situation.

The owner of the property is very rude. We were told we were allowed to have dogs, paid the pet fee, and then told that we cannot have dog hair in the room and the dogs had to leave every day for \"inspection\". Even though they stated they cleaned every day there was a pizza stain on the dresser from when we first got there along with other things being dirty. The property owner charged my card double the money as well and it did not get fixed until a qeek after leaving the property. Do not go here unless you would like to be disappointed and broke on your trip.
