First room I was in, the door was warped and had a noticeable gap. Not good if you’re worried about little critters getting in. Second room was better, but had a moldy smell in it. The front desk people were very friendly, and helpful, especially Vivek. Parking was adequate, and they will let you know where to park, for easier access to your room. They have break till 9:00 am, but I did not partake. Overall, my stay was adequate, for what I needed.

I never write bad reviews. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at visible dirt everywhere on the walls as if the place has never been painted and mold everywhere. Hair on the beds shower bathroom was filthy rusty other guests complain about how bad their rooms were as well.

They advertise breakfast but the only thing they have is Cereal, 2 apples, milk , coffee and orange juice. The staff was friendly. It is very old building that needs attention. I would not stay there for vacation. It was the cheapest motel available closest to Tampa. We used it to stay bc Tampa hotels were booked or way overpriced for our cruise. They had 3day concerts plus competitions going on that’s what it was booked

It took 40 mins to get to the cruise port so that may be an option if you need one.

We were worried about when we first pull in it looks like rough area. But we gave it a try. The staff she is so accommodating and respectful. We got room 154 facing the pool area. The room is not bad at all. There is no bugs and the bed is comfortable. It’s old hotel but clean and comfortable. And no one bother us during our stay eventhough there is a lot of people hanging out from outside.

Don't be fooled by the glossy photos online. I don't know how this hotel achieved its 3 stars. The reception and lobby area were very nice as pictured, but the room was terrible (119).
The worst aspect was the appearance of what we believe were cockroaches which made everything else seem worse. The beds were noisy with worn out headboards and had soggy mattresses. The bathroom was grubby and tired.
The Hotel is right next to a busy road so there was a lot of noise, added to by the barking dogs in an adjacent room and someone talking loudly on a phone outside our door at around 4:45 am.
The breakfast was handed out in individual bags containing Muffins, Cereal Bars and Porridge. In addition, there was no hot food or toast available, only cereals, fruit juice and hot drinks.
On this trip we stayed in9 different hotels and we rated this one 9th.

My suggestion is that you would stay anywhere else but here. The first day I got back my hotel room was wide open. They do not disturb sign was on my door which I didn’t put on her. Looked like a maid had been in there and taken a towels, and that was it. Good thing I took all my valuables with me. I spoke with the front desk. I’m about this and she says what do you want me to do? I left a battery plugged into the wall. I got 10 miles down the road called and they said oh it’s not there. Just a bad place to stay.

The room was not clean, floor and table surfaces need a good scrubbing. The entire room needs a new paint job, and the mirrors are dirty and delaminating. We saw what appeared to be a cockroach, they can get in easily thru the wide crack where the door doesn't close completely. The staff was pleasant, but the room was a disappointment. The online photos are flattering. I understand this is a budget hotel, but for $419 for 2 nights (during the airshow) I expected more. Next time I'll look for a room elsewhere.

Roaches crawling across the ceiling over the beds had to be killed. Dead bug on wall above mirror. Door jams could use some paint. Walking around barefoot on the floors leaves your feet BLACK requiring a wash before climbing into bed. Breakfast ends at 9:00 and they were out of to-go breakfast bags when we inquired at desk. Staff were very nice.

This HJ hotel is a complete dump, no upgrades since the 50's, The rooms and water smell very bad, like sewage water!! Avoid this hotel at all times or you will be very sorry you booked it.

When they say light breakfast, they mean light breakfast it was basically a muffin and oatmeal and an apple. The rooms are very musty your towels do not dry out so we kept having to ask for fresh towels. Pool is clean though and they do have lounge chairs there so I was able to utilize that pillows are very small. They’re like a half pillow.

The breakfast was a grab and go, nothing hot or fresh so that sucked! Staff was great, pleasant and helpful, parking was alright. We happened to be there on a Saturday evening, so unfortunately we were kept up due to a intoxicated couple fighting and arguing multiple times in the middle of the parking lot, and then we were greeted with roaches the next night following morning. I will NEVER return and I will not refer my family or friends!!

Lesson learned HOeJO! This was the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. And the only reason I didn’t leave is because I was truly so exhausted. I could not go another mile.
Roaches in the fridge and microwave and bathroom. Scattered when I turned on the lights in the morning. The handprints on the headboard from the last tenants hadn’t even been cleaned off. broken tables and broken stuff barely pieced together and propped up together. Front office laughed when I asked for a non smoking room. The cigarette and weed smell was so strong I no doubt reeked the bext day leaving. This is obviously a drug dealing house and brothel. The room next to me started turning tricks at 2:30AM. And the party that was going on until at least 4:30 AM with multiple people in the parking lot with loud base speakers. Go to shower in the am and brownish water starts spurting out first . The towel at least looked brand new and there was a new mattress cover on so- hallelujah for that.

The room was clean. The beds were comfy. We slept well. The shower had enough pressure and was hot. The outside area needs cleaning. My kid played on the giant chair out front and afterwards was covered in black dirt. Also, there is only cereal and an apple for breakfast. There is a coffee machine but no real creamer. I hate that fake powder crap. It was good and cheap for one night.

Staff was kind upon arrival at close to midnight, but the room was well below our expectations. The room appeared sheets were clean, but the air was stale and musty in the room. We stayed because it was so late at night, but the AC struggled to cool the room that night, and when I woke up the next morning, I saw several live pests and decided immediately that we would not be staying

Should do better bathroom paint job. Fresh towels were provided every 3 days, but should left extra garbage bags. Neighbors were smoking marijuana next door in the none smoking room. I wish regular breakfast was provided, such as scramble eggs, sausage, making pancakes or waffles, yogurt. We just got a breakfast bag with muffins, 2 oatmeal bags, 2 energy bars but no water or juice bottles

I didn’t use the pool, The Staff was Absolutely amazing. Our flight was delayed 4 hours, with the time change we arrived at almost 4am. The kind lady behind the desk knew it was us. She greeted us with a smile and asked us how we were. We got the keys and they didn’t work. We went back, she took care of everything. The next day the kind maintenance man fixed the key card and he was so nice. All the staff was kind, friendly and helpful.

The first room they gave me when I checked in just opening the door to roaches on the bed, one on the bed and one on the law frame. Second one, they gave me the bed was fine. But the chair was disgusting, still dirty. I needed to sleep. So we stood with it, that's. I think it needs to be maintained more cleaned.

When I arrived, the lobby looked nice.But you could tell the property was very run down.
The first room I was sent to had visible bed bugs so I went downstairs and asked for a different room.I was given another room.It wasn't a much better shape, but
No visible bed bugs.
The rooms had newer flooring in them. Nothing was upgraded. The headboards attached to the wall had been stabbed and scratched all up in both rooms. The first room there was dirt and debris along all of the walls and trim of flooring, the second one was a little bit cleaner on the floor..
We may do because I had already paid for the room and knew it would be a hassle to get a refund.
The staff was very nice.I don't blame them for the conditions of the place.There was quite a few people staying there , so they must be used to those conditions.
It did look unsafe but I had no problems with any other people in the area.
Bads were surprisingly comfortable.

The door to our room only opened 2/3 of the way because the floor was raised up. The door had a large crack at the weather strip that let in lots of light and other things(bugs). The lighting was way too dim, the bed and pillows were awful. The noise from the traffic and sirens from police/rescue was so loud in the room I tried to let the tv on all night to drown it out! It didn’t work, was up all night long. There were people hanging out in the stairways and in front of a lot of the rooms with the doors hanging wide open. The stairways and outside walkways were filthy dirty, didn’t want to touch the handrails. Didn’t feel safe there. We will never ever stay there again. Wasn’t worth the money.

Arrived late as anticipated just needing a comfortable bed, shower and a decent \"light\" breakfast as noted in the description but not detailed although the photo led me to believe it wouldn't be that \"light\".Property is old, it was clean as possible and the bed was comfortable. Surprised by the noise in the parking lot throughout the night. Very disappointed by the breakfast! A dispenser with cheerios, fruit loops, and frosted flakes and wrapped apples were the only food offerings! There was a coffee/tea machine (I didn't care for the coffee) and a juice machine. Okay for an eight hour stay; we left hungry.

Although the property is located near an interstate hwy, the setting was quiet and the rooms were clean though older and in need of update. The bathroom was quite small which made it difficult for even one person to navigate and had no handles in the tub for mitigating falls. The breakfast selection was limited to fruit, juice and cereal but the staff made packaged foods in bags for guests to take for the rest of the day. Aside for some of these limitations, the our stay was good.

The room was dirty. The sheets on the bed had burn holes. The pool was not open. Something disgusting all over walls. Ice machine not work. Soda machine not work. Headboard on bed was all torn up. Exposed wires. Had to ask for toilet paper several times. Have photos of the room and how dirty it was . Plus photos of exposed wires. Other photos also of other things wrong there.

Needs to be remodeled! Chipping paint coming off ceiling, silverfish bugs crawling around, head full of like cat scratches or else someone took out there frustration on the headboard, and a very boring definitely needs to be updated “breakfast” was a joke!
