Maximal ok für eine Nacht

Für eine Nacht okay, mehr nicht. Wir haben am Wochenende 187 Euro für eine Nacht bezahlt ohne Frühstück, absolut crazy. Hellhörig, klein, billige Möbel, die an ein Studentenwohnheim erinnern. Was ich absolut bedenklich fand: Man konnte seine Rucksäcke nach CheckOut nochmal abgeben zur Lagerung. Hier wurde bei Abholung nichts kontrolliert. Man konnte einfach in die Kammer rein und sich seinen Rucksack rausnehmen. Aus meiner Sicht hätte jeder Fremde meinen Rucksack nehmen können incl. Wertsachen. --- Positiv zu vermerken: Freundliches Personal, sauber und direkt am Bahnhof.

I arrived and required change to pay my taxi, staff changed €100 note for me, later gave me directions to a local bank so I could refill my wallet. Even though the hotel is near the train station the hotel is very very quiet, one of the best sleeps I have ever had. Make sure to set your alarm as you will oversleep if you don’t.

Handy hotel for railway station

Comfortable clean bed and nice room, but I don't think it had been thoroughly cleaned, the shower gel was almost empty, there was a cotton bud in the bin when I arrived and soapy water in the sink. I told reception about the shower gel in the morning in German but I don't think they understood me. I arrived at 9pm on a Sunday and the hotel bar was closed even though there were staff on reception, they directed me to a drinks machine. The eating options in the vicinity at that time were limited, seeming to consist of a kebab van. The hotel is right next to the station so is really hand if travelling by train. There is a Netto supermarket 300 yards away. The town centre is accessible by tram and the platforms are in the railway station subway. The hotel is ideal for a 1 night stay and I used it to visit the Molli Bahn narrow gauge railway before moving on to the island of Ruegen. The reception staff were helpful in allowing me to use the luggage storage room.

I guess this has to do with the local work hours, there is no food service at this hotel. No service on the bar area on Sunday.
Room key card is not working on the first try and need to try few times before working. Per the reception instructions need to place the key card few cm away from the reader to make it works😂😂
Room and Beds so small even for small person like me and how does this fit for taller folks🤔🤔🤔

Anyway this is a good location for new traveler to Rostock cause it’s next the the train station 🚉 no need to get taxis.

Clean hotel without AC

Clean and nice hotel next to the railway station. You get a free ticket to the tram - excellent!
However, this hotel doesn’t have AC in the rooms and with that comes warm rooms at night. There were two portable fans which helps a little.
Good beds on the harder side but we don’t mind that.
The mini fridge didn’t work in our room, they are about to change all fridges. We could borrow cooling bags to our cooling box.
The woman in reception was totally new and was dependent of her colleague. Very friendly but very insecure, did her best.
Have stayed here before but in wintertime. Then you don’t mind the lack of AC.
The hotel has a parking and it as free right now due to road work outside the hotel.

There’s no air conditioning in this hotel. Room temperature uncomfortable. They loaned us a small fan. Window opened only a crack. Good that it is close to the train station and they give a free tram pass. No restaurant for dinner but there is a good Asian restaurant just around the corner.

First of all there is no air conditioning. They gave us 1 pillow, 1 blanket and 1 towel for a two person room with 2 people staying in it. The staff were fairly rude. The only benefit of this place is it is walkable to the train but I wouldn’t return.

We visited in August. There was no air conditioning. They gave us a desk fan which I thought was a joke. The room temp was so unbearable we couldnt sleep. We tried to open a window and it ooened one inch. No food choices avail in the area or delivery.The only avail beverage there was h20 soda beer or liquor... no ice! There was a pastry store next door but the pastries were in a case with the door left open with flys all over them. How unsanitary. The front desk clerk A. Roth knew english to take my card but after that she had a blank stare and said sorry for all our problems. Severely bad experience. Do NOT book there.

Bon hôtel, bien situé proche de la gare SNCF et de la gare routière; chambre spacieuse , bien conçue, avec une bouteille d’eau gazeuse offerte; literie avec oreillers confortables; petit déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix ; salle de douche ergonomique et agréable; quelques traces de moisissures au niveau du bac de douche; pas de pancarte ne pas déranger à mettre à la porte de la chambre si l’on souhaite faire la grasse matinée. Wir haben für eine Nacht eine Unterkunft gebraucht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und man hat uns auch erklärt, wie wir zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten laufen können. Obwohl wir morgens mit dem Schiff ankamen, hat die Dame es uns ermöglicht, gleich ein Zimmer zu beziehen. Wir haben nicht das hoteleigene Frühstück genommen. Stattdessen war nebenan eine Bäckerei, die Frühstück angeboten hat. Preis, Lage und Freundlichkeit waren unschlagbar.

This hotel is facing the plaza outside Rostock train station. I was traveling from Berlin to get on a cruise ship the following day and found it to be an extremely convenient location to spend the night before my cruise. There are several coffee shops nearby and the historic town is a twenty minute walk. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and had a large window the could be opened

Good standard hotel next to train station which was brilliant as we were travelling on public transport. Very clean. Rooms had everything we needed (except for a kettle, but it appears this is not standard for German hotels). Friendly, polite and helpful staff.
Check out at noon which is helpful.
Bed too hard for my liking and uncomfortable; I was surprised as other places we stayed at in Germany had lovely soft mattresses.

I liked it being next to the Bahnhof. I used the 9 Euro ticket to explore Sassnitz, Stralsund, Wismar and Warnemünde. And of course Rostock itself.

And i liked the \"all public transportation\" card for my stay. I liked it a lot, because my stay went beyond the 9 Euro August cutoff.

I agreed on line to pay one price and when I arrived I was charged another. I chose the hotel for one reason: parking. When I arrived they told me that parking existed but I had to pay 14 euros. The staff was about as unpleasant as you can get without seeming deliberate. She was curt, unfriendly, unresponsive to claims about changing the price and unapologetic about charging me 14 euros for parking I thought was included. The hotel was designed by a computer program and built by a printer (so it feels). I will never go there again. It wasn't cheap (nearly $200 for the night). Really!!

Good position, poor management

Hotel is centrally located next to the railway station with good transport connections. Building is new and well kept. When we stayed, hotel was running a booking system for breakfast because of Covid (a system that most other hotels had by then stopped). We were informed at check-in that the only available slot the next day was 07:00, not optimal for a Sunday morning. No word of apology, and no attempt to suggest any solution. So a problem with both management and front desk, which probably also reflected a problem with management. Front-desk should be trained to be minimally polite and helpful.

When I booked In I was not offered/ given the transport pass as promised. Instead when I independently had to buy mine I was told I was not entitled to either a pass or reduction from the bill. Therefore I was not in a position to offer the pass I purchased to somebody, which I showed willing to do.

I found the staff to be abrupt, corporate and didn’t really seem to want to help or offer any support.

The hotel, made an issue about its ‘green credentials’. However the temperature of the room was 25c, with no instructions on how to turn heating off. Also why does one person require 5 towels for their stay?

Hotel was really nice, staff very welcoming. Our room was just a little bit dated but very clean and tidy. I had to do quick repair on the shower as it would not drain (tip - angle up the big rectanglar drain) but otherwise was great.
We found prices in the bar to be excellent and staff were all keen to help. Overall I would be happy to recommend this hotel!

Our room in this hotel was very small. It reminded me of the room we had in Hong Kong! I could not open the doors without getting out of the way.
The location is extremely good. It is literally 300 feet from the train station! You come out of the North exit of the station and go to the right and your there!

Excellent location, across the road from the central train station and central bus station which Flixbus operates from. Staff pleasant and courteous. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice on offer, with guests able to take a takeaway coffee with them if they want. The hotel provides a free travel ticket which gives unlimited travel on public transport in all zones in the city. However, rooms are very small and basic and the beds are particularly uncomfortable with very thin and hard mattresses. There is no air conditioning and no kettle.

Great / Pre-Cruise Stay

This was a perfect hotel stay, the night before boarding a cruise ship in Warnemunde. After spending three days of sightseeing in Berlin, my wife and I took a train to Rostock. This hotel is right outside the station, so the transfer was simple -- a short walk with two suitcases. The staff and accommodations were very good. And the hotel also provided transportation to the Warnemunde port (nice, comfortable 20-minute train ride). At Warnemunde, it was a pleasant (10 minute) walk to the cruise terminal. No regrets. Would do it again.

Excellent for touring cyclists

Excellent hotel just beside the Rostock Hauptbahnhof. Despite this the sound-proofing keeps the room quiet. The hotel gives tickets for free travel within the city and to Warnemunde. Our bikes were well cared for, and easily accessible, in the hotel basement. The big lift allows a fully laden bike to go in and, when you have taken off your panniers you can use the luggage cart to go to your bedroom; easy peasy.

The hotel is right by the train station so when we got there at midnight it was great to just cross the street to get to the hotel. The room was clean and small as we expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tram at the train station took us into town in 10-15 minutes. We walked back to the hotel which took 30-45 minutes.

Perfect hotel choice for Rostock.

The hotel is located right at the HBF train station of Rostock. That makes a perfect choice for taking day trip by train or by buses to other cities such as Berlin (2.5 hours by bus) , Hamburg (2 hours by bus) . The hotel gives us a pair of ticket for using the tram/train/buses in the city while we stay there . Our room is nicely equipped with a 42 inches TV with premium English channels, a small frig, comfortable queen size bed . Eventhoigh the hotel is very closed to the train/tram station but our room is very quiet and hence we have a very good sleep every night here. We also can find a few asian restaurants in the train station, some bakery stores with good cups of coffee and chocolates . We highly recommend this hotel for folks from cruises (embark or disembark) from Wernermunde terminal to stay here before or after Baltic or Norther Europe cruises .This hotel also offered an excellent breakfast for around 16 euros .

Very short level walk from railway station, easy rolling cases.
Don't know if breakfast is worth extra cost or not as we ate at nearby cafes.

Great value right by the train station

I have to admit, I saw these hotels with their tacky little signs near train stations all around Germany and was skeptical, but I needed a room near the train station in Rostock at the last minute and decided to give them a chance.

Glad I did. Room was large, comfy, and reasonably priced. Staff was helpful. Located steps away from the train station which is convenient for getting around - they even give you a local transit pass for free. WiFi was very slow, but worked.

Don't let the exterior fool you - this is actually a pretty decent place!

Very handy for the railway

As expected the intercity brand are right next to or very close to a big railway station.
The hotel which I've stayed at before is very a short tram ride or a 15 min walk into the town.
The intercity brand is one to be trusted but they do need to be careful on their competitiveness. I can't mention costs here but with the room tariff you'd expect the breakfast to be included. They will charge you extra and that can make it a quite expensive overnight stay. Especially when the rooms are at the same level as an Ibis or Travelodge. But not the same price..
We took breakfast at the bakery right next to the hotel and at half the cost.

Comfy hotel

A very comfortable hotel, right next to Rostock Central Station. Bit of a walk from the town centre, but as the hotel offers free public transport tickets, you can get on a tram to the town centre from Central Station. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very basic hotel - not all like the description

Very basic hotel near station. Not at all like the description on Expedia. No evening food. Sports / sauna etc is 300 yards away in a shopping centre and you need to bring your own slippers and I wasn't made very welcome.

InterCity Hotel Rostock

We had booked twin beds but were allocated a double bed, which was eventually changed. Also, the soap dispenser in the bathroom had run out and had not been replenished. Otherwise comfortable beds in a quiet area adjacent to the railway station.

Das gesamte Personal war stets freundlich , hilfsbereit und bemühte sich all unsere Wünsche gleich stets zu erfüllen .
Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt . Na klar merkt man schon ein paar Gebrauchsspuren . Aber dies ist ein Zeichen , dass dieses Hotel gern und oft gebucht wird .
Was für uns nicht nachvollziehbar ist , dass heutzutage keine Gastronomie angeboten wird . Gerade am Hauptbahnhof .
Wo soll man nach einem Ausflug abends
Essen / Trinken gehen , den Tag harmonisch
ausklingen lassen ... Etwa mit einem Snack vom Imbiss ??
Hier besteht noch Luft nach oben , um 5 Sterne zu vergeben .
