Location is great if wanting to stay close to airport (10-15 drive out south airport entrance), yet outside of the B-line (528) and major traffic. The atmosphere is great, they have access to nice walking paths that take you by Box park or further into Lake Nona area. They have an amazing health club that is 10x what a normal hotel workout gym would have in the Lake Nona Performance Club, which is a 2-min walk from hotel. Their staff is excellent, extremely friendly, and helpful.
The rooms are well appointed with technology focus. Plenty of power access for laptops and mobile devices. Only thing that wasn't great was the Well-Tech room with the Bryte bed option. We have never liked the adjustable pressure mattresses and this was no real exception. It was difficult to get the room completely dark with all of the backlit buttons that operate the shades and lights. These buttons are bright and appear to stay lit all night (desk rep I called said they didn't turn off), especially on both sides of the beds. I had to use outside the box thinking to cover them. Large self-sticky note pads (4\"x4\") would work well to cover their light.
All in all, we'd stay there again, assuming we can resolve the light issues. Everyone was super friendly, there's a Starbucks w/in 5 min walk of the place. It's super quiet during non-peak times and the pool (with reservable cabanas) and cafe attached are very nice. You can even rent rooms and pool area from 9-5pm for a daycation!

There is a coffee bar in lobby. Unfortunately it does not open until 630. So if you have excursions planned and you need to leave before then your out of luck. No other coffee option around and one morning the barista didn’t show up at all. Another the machine wasn’t working. High end hotel and no coffee 2 of the 4 mornings we were there. Do better Wave.

My husband and I were visiting family in the area and wanted to stay at a nice resort that was “Disney Free”. We didn’t want the magic of Disney but found magic the Wave hotel! From the greeting as you arrive, to the amazing art collection, mixology classes, pool cabanas and tasty food offerings- the Wave has it all! Their gym is currently under construction but the front desk attendant promptly signed me up for a class at the performance center five minutes away. We were so impressed with the attentiveness of the hard working stafff and the experience we had. We would definitely return to this hotel if we’re in the area!

The hotel is excellent with a few negatives that can be easily corrected. The staff is awesome , the size of the room is very comfortable and clean. The main issue for us was the pool . It's relatively small and the bummer was the fact that closes exactly at sunset. That can be 7 -8 PM. For a hotel that charges $400 - $500 a night that is disappoiting. Also , only one restaurant -Bacan - is worthy of Michelin stars . Had the best steak I ever tried there with plethora of wine choices . Other restaurants are not kept to any standards. The breakfast was nothing special . We avoided it couple times by walking to Starbucks located 5 mins away. I would look for other properties next time we come to Orlando.

The Lake Nona Wave Hotel is very trendy and a fun place to stay. We loved that you can eat on property or walk a short distance to other eating options. The lobby is super cool to explore with all of its art. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, king suite. The room was beautiful and our balcony view was stunning. They had all the amenities you would expect in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, hand/body soap, hair dryer, etc.). The closet was huge and had so much storage. The bar area had water, Lavazza coffee pods, tea, and a mini fridge. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Suite was very well appointed including furnishings, comfortable bed, amenities & state of the art technology with everything in suite controlled by iPad. Property is a distance from Orlando airport but there are some shops, restaurants & bars within a short walking distance. Great property at a reasonable rate as opposed to others closer to airport which are much more expensive. I highly recommend this property & will stay again when in Orlando. A pleasant surprise. Our stay was very nice. Clean rooms and staff was excellent. We only had a problem with the way they handled our check in. We were offered a 12 pm check in for $150 and decided to request it. When we arrived they said that our request had been accepted and they would get the room ready. By 1:00 our room was still not ready and despite the wording on both the offer and their own FAQ section stating 12 pm check in, they said that early check in meant anytime between 12pm and 3 pm. Now since 3PM is standard check in time why would anyone pay $150 to get into a room 30 minutes early. The girl at the desk said she couldn't do anything and would get a manager involved. We were not contacted by a manager and was charged the entire $150 but were not given a room until a little after 1pm. We were surprised that the offered and accepted contract for 12pm check in was not honored. I believe a simple reduction in the cost to compensate for their breach of contract would have been a fair way to have settled this.

The hotel is okay it's definitely not a 5 star hotel. The pool area was poorly maintained, no staff, dirty padding in the cabanas, no one to provide towels or drinks or anything. The room is nice but nothing that delivers in a way you expect for the price. The bell hops are great and provide a great service. Staff is nice but I think they need to focus on these areas.
