Great stay, great staff, great food. The only thing I can say bad about this place was I was expecting a more modern room from the photos they uploaded. The room was not dirty or bad or anything but wasn’t new. The whole property is quite old but everything is nice.

I’m from the states and we stayed at this gorgeous hotel. And I have to say it was fantastic. Rooms. Staff. Food. It really is a special place. The staff went above and beyond. We went in October and the weather was perfect. I truly feel this hotel has a magical feel. The church bells ringing. The towns below. My husband is a mid west kind of man. He told me he would never forget Lake Garda and our Ley Fey resort. We are actually planning our next visit back to Le Fey and Lake Garda. To me they are now one 💕.

Property and facilities were of course stunning - we had a fab, relaxing time. The staff were v attentive, the quality of food and service exceptional. There were a few tiny things worth commenting:
1. You definitely need a car to get around and go for lunch or dinner in town. It's a shame the shuttle wasn't available in the evening so you could explore dinner in Gargnano.
2. Coffee at breakfast was actually low quality - please buy a better coffee machine. The hotel is too good not to serve decent coffee.
3. I think the price of food was too much - €7 for a cappuccino is arguably offensive. The quality is good definitely - but it feels 20% too much.
4. You need a food option that is a bit more relaxed. I don't need to have a fine dining experience every evening - I would like ie an option to buy a pizza for a more relaxed affair.

Thank you for a fantastic stay, that being said.

Spa retreat

Lefay is a stunning resort with picturesque views. The rooms are gorgeous as is the outdoor pool. The only downside is the hotel is on the top of the mountain so it is a little airy to drive up and down and takes nearly 20 mins to get down. If you are looking for a beautiful spa to just relax, it is just perfect.

Above and beyond hotel.

Lefay is located on top of the mountain with the clear view of Garda lake, surrounded by mountains. The road up can be reached by hotel shuttle or private car. Hotel is modern, very clean, has all the amenities for relaxing, comfortable, and exciting stay. The staff went above and beyond to assist in any situation. The food was delicious. I will tell all our friends to come and enjoy this place. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Overall excellent stay. Very relaxing, brilliant spa, pool and facilities. Free valet park and even charged the car which was excellent. Food and drink exceptionally expensive (particularly non-alcoholic) and whilst very good do not justify the price. Mixed staff, some exceptional but others appeared inexperienced. Would definitely come back as the room; even at junior suite level, was amongst the best we have ever stayed in and made for a very relaxing stay.

Lefay resort is set on top of a mountain overlooking the beautiful Lake Garda. The hotel is beautiful, the spa is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful. Everything about this resort is top notch. The hotel has a free shuttle down to the town of Gargnano running between 10am-7pm. We took the shuttle down to the town (approx 10-15 min ride) of Gargnano and then took the ferry to Limone sul Garda to explore another beautiful town. For our stay, we ate dinner in the hotel restaurant each night. There are two really nice restaurants, a poolside outdoor restaurant and a bar lounge area that served food. The food and service were perfect. A beautiful buffet breakfast was included which we thouroughly enjoyed. I did not want to leave this resort. The infinity pool overlooking the lake was so beautiful and relaxing. This is definitely one of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at.

The Lefay was perfect in every aspect. The staff were so informative and friendly. I have had a really tough year with my health. Its exactly what we needed. So relaxing and calm. We explored Lake Garda and the free shuttle service was really helpful. We are vegan and there was plently of choice for breakfast. We only ate lunch once and that was amazing. The Hamman was my fav - going nude was something new for me in the steam/sauna but an experience i will never forget. The walks around the property were just beautiful. The infinity pool...well just PERFECT. I would reccomend hiring a car if you plan to leave the resort.

Next level service with a breathtaking view.

Beautiful place with one of the most amazing views of Lago di Garda that I have ever seen. The service is top-notch with a focus on customer comfort and happiness. The pools and spa anreas are impeccably clean with a modern relaxing feel.

The food is excellent quality with two different styles of restaurant. LIMONAIA is a bit more typical but excellent and then GRAMEN is the gourmet experience which was delicious. Both are expensive but you get what you pay for.

My only issue is our prestige suite felt a bit ‘dated’ in the bathroom with an 80s style countertop and tub. Small changes would totally chenage the vibe but this is a small issue. Otherwise the place is spectacular.

Our third stay at the wonderful Lefay Spa overlooking Lake Garda. Still cannot get used to the stunning view over the lake, it's quite something. Love this place so much, it is truly restorative for the soul and mind. Staff are quite wonderful, the Gramen Restaurant outstanding, especially as there is a tasting plant-based menu available (very rare). Our only gripe is the Limonaia restaurant where it's a struggle to find plant based dishes on the menu, plus the wine list by the glass is poor. Otherwise, superb facilities and ambience.

The best area is the new adults only whirlpool and panoramic sauna which has been built in thr last 2 years. This is more in line with the facilities at lefay dolomiti. The other main sauna and hammam areas probably need a refurbishment. They seem either too hot so cant stay in them long or not hot enough and there are no benches just individual seats in a circular way which means you are facing other people and cant lay down. Also its really relaxing adding different colours and music into the saunas which dolomiti has done. Becuaae it was out of season couldnt use the infinity pool or outdoor jacuzzi unfortunately. There is no other lap pool option indoors here whereas dolomiti has a beautiful lap pool. The in and out pool was very nice and relaxing and has jacuzzis in it. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The road coming in and out of lefay to the main road is awful and winding and takes about 10 mins just to come down the mountain but the views are spectacular of the lake on a clear day. It is probably better suited to spring and summer months than a winter vacation. The gym was 24 hour and very well equipped with modern equipment. It was very easy to hire a car and park it in the garage. Overall i would say dolomiti lefay was a cut above lefay garda due to the facilities , larger spa areas, indoor lap pool and easy accessibility to the town just couple of mins drive away with some excellent dining options.

One of my WORST stay

We booked Three rooms for a family vacation with my 4 months old baby and her grandparents. Upon booking we messaged the hotel for rooms next to each other, we told the hotel it is very important that we stay close each other. The manager Eveline said it was confirmed. However when we arrived it was not the case. The grandparents had to run around in hotel to see their grandson. I asked to talk to the manager Eveline, she DID NOT show up the whole time... Theres only one restaurant in the hotel, so breakfast, lunch and dinner all at the same place. The staffs were extremely rude. The have no respect of customers and were not well trained at all. They are more like a TWO STAR HOTEL staffs than five star. In the end my baby was sick so i had to leave my massage treatment 20 minutes in, for a 90 minutes treatment. Not only they charged me full amount they wanted to charge my husband even though he canceled his half hour before it was started. This hotel has the worst customer service i have ever had in my life, we had such a horrible time... If you want to book this place be ready to get trapped in a secluded area with terrible service and ridiculous staff. This will be our last time staying there and we will warn all of our friends to stay away!

This resort exceeded my expectations with service and amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful with all our questions. Breakfast was amazing! You can make your own fresh juice and get a homemade omelette from the chef. The spa was over the top with different steam rooms and saunas. To top it all off amazing views of the lake each way you turn!

The service of the hotel is questionable due to the fact that staff speaks to the guests in very unpleasant manner ... definitely not what you would expect in a 5 start hotel in France or other parts of italy.

Spa is impressive but very dated. Expect them ask you to take your bikini off in saunas just like in Germany. So if that’s not your thing, probably not the best place to stay at

Solid choice needs minor tweaks

I'm a returning guest and this time around it seems to have lost some of its lustre - eg with exception of 1, the others steam rooms didn't seem to work at all/properly and some staff (eg the lady with short blonde hair greeting guests at breakfast) wasn't always friendly or accomodating and when compared to her colleagues wasn't really delivering to same service standards. Otherwise beautiful property and surrounds and great experience!

To keep it short and sweet, absolutely amazing.. the location, the resort, the view - everything. The only negative I have to say, is that they charged us an additional 115 Euros for our 3 year old son who slept in the same bed as us, had his own breakfast etc. Not a big deal, but something to call out.

Stunning, top class hotel

We stayed for 4 nights in August and were incredibly impressed with the hotel. The rooms were fantastic (we had a junior suite with a balcony), the food and drink were great, the grounds and pool were serene and the view was stunning.

My only word of caution would be that the view is earned by virtue of the hotel being up a 7km long mountain pass above the lake. The hotel do provide shuttles into Gargano but they are €35 after 7pm, and as the public transport in the region can be a bit lacking to boot, I'd highly recommend a car.

Overall though, this is a seriously world class hotel.

A truly amazing resort in a beautiful part of Italy. The staff and service was fantastic, the facilities are amazing. A great destination for a relaxing break. Only slight criticism is that the beds are quite hard and getting to the location from the airport is expensive if you don't drive.

Took my wife here to get pampered. It was everything we had hoped for and much, much more. The staff was friendly and so helpful 24/7. The last time I took my wife to a spa was on board the Queen Mary 2. Lefay makes the QM2 look like amateurs!

This is the best resort I've stayed at, if your looking for a getaway then this place is it, it was so peaceful and silent. The staff took care of us, very attentive, friendly and efficient. The views were surreal, with a well-laid out room. It is a long way up the mountain but you can soak in the views all the way to the top. We will defiantly be visiting again in the summer.

The food in La Limona restaurant was very good but a little expensive and La Trattoria restaurant was not open in the evenings during our midweek stay so we made do with bar food in the evening which was also good but again a little expensive. Unfortunately it was very foggy for the whole of our stay so we did not manage to enjoy the view!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views

We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and could not have chosen better. The views of the lake and surrounding hills are incredible. The grounds are beautiful and it is well worth going for a walk around the trail (there are some steep steps). The hotel itself is very well-appointed. We had a junior suite and it was a lovely size. The pools are superb and surprisingly quiet (in October). Didn't use the spa.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and good English speakers.

Others have mentioned the drive. The last 10 minutes are up a steep, fairly narrow road with a number of hairpins. My wife and I both drove, including in the dark and once in thick fog (<50m visibility) and we agreed it was scarier for the passenger! An automatic will make your life a lot easier. There is a free and excellent shuttle to Gargnano but it only runs during the day / early evening.

Mineral water provided in the room is free. The breakfasts are superb. The other meals are also good, but overpriced IMHO. A buffet lunch for 2 with 1 bottle of mineral water was €75. There are two restaurants, one formal and one informal. The formal one tries to be fine dining, and is very nice, but we had a much better meal in Gargnano itself for less € (Trattoria San Martino Tre Oche). The informal place is less good and only a few € cheaper. My penne carbonara wasn't great, and the live band in the lounge bar next door clashed with the recorded music in the restaurant.

Best experience of my life!

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and could not recommend it enough. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway where you can just enjoy a gorgeous view, be waited on 24/7 and leave feeling refreshed you couldn't pick a better place.
We were personally greeted when we arrived and given a complimentary arrival drink which we enjoyed on their balcony overlooking their beautiful pools and Lake Garda. Our room was so much more spacious than expected, we had our own private outdoor space and we were given a personal tour of the whole resort - with further private tours available upon request of the spas and fitness areas when requested.
The food from the 2 restaurants, pool bar and room service were all amazing and we didn't even end up eating anywhere else during our stay.
The spa was great, with so many options to choose from. The staff were friendly and professional and helped us select the best /most appropriate services for ourselves. They even have options for couples if you want to do something with your partner.
There are free fitness and relaxation classes happening daily as well as a gym open 24/7 - which my husband took full advantage of. The pools and saunas are all different in temperature, location and experience so you can be sure to find something you will like.
We arrived tried from a wedding and left fully rejuvenated after our weeks stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway you don't have to leave to enjoy yourself.

Awesome stay in lake Garda

We stayed in Lefay for 3 days in July 2016 and had an awesome experience. The room was very clean, lots of room for luggage (almost a walk-in closet), soundproofed, comfortable bed, lots of extras like flip flops. The pool and sauna area was above my expectations. I have not seen pools that were better maintained or cleaner. Lots of choice of saunas and relaxation areas. This is not your regular hotel spa. 5 or so saunas at different humidity and temperature, relaxation area with water beds and so on. I regret not staying here longer so that I can enjoy it more. Very relaxing! The service was excellent as well. we called in to let the know that we will be checking in late, probably past 11pm. I got a call around 10pm and they asked me if we will be hungry when we arrive. Delicious food in the 2 restaurants. The best tasting veggie sandwich that I have ever had! They make their own olive oil. The view was magnificent. My only complaint will be that the room did not have blackout curtains and I woke up from the light (there are dark curtains but not blackout). I hope that I get a chance to stay at Lefay again.

Fantastic hotel, wonderful location with beautiful views. However it is a long way out of town and you really need to have a car.
My only complaint is that the ladies get a menu without a price! I thought these went out in the 1970s and is an insult to working women!

Luxury at Lake Garda

The Lefay Resort and SPA provided a wonderful place in which to enjoy the views of spectacular Lake Garda and the surrounding countryside. The food was fantastic, service excellent and our suite offered the comfort and luxury we'd expected. We decided on our first night thy we must return; our view was reinforced by the end of our trip. Next time we'd like to allow for more time, to give the opportunity to explore the surrounding area.

Great resort in a beautiful location

What can I say about the Lefay Resort...

The overall experience was incredible and a wonderful way to add some relaxation to our honeymoon.

The Resort started by arranging a private car for us from the train station to the resort. This was definitely a necessity as the train station is over an hour from the resort. Once we arrived we were greeted by wonderful staff an incredible facility and an even more incredible room.

The resort is beautiful and located on a mountain overlooking the beautiful lake Garda and small town of Gargnano below. The room was huge and so clean. The bathroom had a huge bathtub, shower and counter. The toilet was in a separate room with an additional sink, which is very useful.

The resort had a huge indoor/outdoor pool, jacuzzi, huge sauna/steam room area and wonderful treatment rooms. The best was the Salt water treatment in the luna del lago.

Small restaurant was also great

Perfect getaway

It's prefect and nothing more can describe Lefay Resort.It was our first trip to Lake Garda and we had absolutely no regrets choosing Lefay.We had great fun enjoying all the facilities the hotel had to offer.Excellent service,excellent care for its customers,excellent food.Perfect!

This hotel is stunning, right from its location to the team that make it work. Serious expertise in the spa and amazing food in the restaurants. Wonderful location with exceptional view

We arrived at Lefay to a friendly welcome from every member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble! We were shown to our suite with a balcony view overlooking Lake Garda which was just out of this world! The suite itself was like a palace with every amenity necessary to ensure a relaxing stay! The breakfast catered for every nationality and the food was delicious! What more could you want?! Even the grounds were extensive and offered a wonderful place to stroll. We would highly recommend Lefay to anyone!

Lovely retreat sway from it all.

500 metres above town no where else to go without transport. Two restaurants at the hotel to eat at, one is more for outside so not good if bad weather. Book your table.
Amazing views, good facilities & staff helpful.

Honeymoon highlight! *****

The most perfect honeymoon destination. Worth every penny. So relaxing. Staff were so friendly and extremely helpful. Defiantly advise having a car for the stay unless you plan on sitting by the pool or spa all holiday which is no bad thing. The hotel is really off the beaten track though. There is a little town aprox a 10 minute walk away if you want a little shop or different dining experience. We would re come d the running club pizzeria there it was the best pizza we have had. Anyway back to Lefay the breakfast was outstanding, the rooms magnificent.

Breathtaking location!

Excellent Hotel and spa with breathtaking location. However, the hotel being out of the town (and at the top of the mountain) by at least 5 miles of twisting roads means a need of a car or a taxi, which works very expensive, although a complementary shuttle service is provided by the hotel between 10:00 and 18:30 hours that you have to prebook in advance. There are only two restaurants in the hotel, one expensive offering gastronomic food and the other grill/Italian food, relatively cheaper, which gets quickly fully booked. On the down side, the house keeping in our room was not perfect as towels and milk for coffee were missing, which is surprising for a 5* hotel, but this was rectified swiftly. The spa amenities were excellent. Barbara at the reception deserves a special praise as she was very helpful to us.

Epic hotel

I have just come back from a 5 day trip at Lefay and it is without doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The views from the hotel are incredible, the staff cannot do enough for you and the rooms are fantastic also with great views.

However note food and drink is VERY expensive - think €25 for a sandwich and €7 for a fruit juice. We ended up eating out most days because of this so it wasn't a problem.
