Nothing terrible , just had better experiences in other hotels. Stayed for 8 days. was supposed to have a fridge but no-one cared which did make a big difference to us. The air conditioner in room 108 sounded like an alarm clock the first night but was handled very well when we were given a new room. So mixed review.

Everything was great. The one issue is the floor of the shower was incredibly slippery. My son fell once and we all almost fell. We put a towel down to keep from slipping further. They probably should have safety mats.

Fantastic hotel!

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful, modern, well located hotel. We have stayed in 20+ hotels on this vacation and The Post Grand Cafe hotel has been our absolute favourite!!! We had a beautiful room that was spacious and had a super shower. The cafe and restaurant were lovely. There was secure indoor parking for our bikes. We could walk to the centre of town. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. We will definitely stay here again!!!!

Great location, lovely atmosphere

The hotel is beautiful and well located. However we had an unfortunate check-in procedure where the wrong room was allocated to us and was only noticed at a later stage when we were in the middle of a museum visit. Half of our things were taken out of the room the pother half stayed there. In the end it worked out but it was inconvenient and weird. The staff made up for it with a nice drink on the house and were very apologetic - so good service!

Our stay at the Post Plaza Hotel was for one night only and it was lovely. Our superior room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom offered a large comfortable bathtub and a separate rain shower. The room also provided a coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge and safe. The breakfast offered a wide selection, including some warm options like freshly made eggs. We have no complaints. Our stay here was completely enjoyable.

A great place where I was upgraded, the food was good as was the ambience and cleanliness.
The only issue is really on parking which is not immediately in the front of the hotel but a drive around several blocks to get to the rear where the car park is and the other problem is that you have to reserve parking due to the limited spaces available.

We wanted a breakfast menu not the Buffett and it seemed we were not sure how they know you don’t want the buffet.
Our room developed a horrible smell the second evening. We did not report but slept with window open as we didn’t want to change rooms that late in our stay. When reporting it we thought staff had an opportunity to offer us the hotel water bottle we were purchasing because of the horrible smell we reported. Would have been a nice way to deal with that issue... to compensate/acknowledge with a small gesture of some kind

The front desk staff was friendly and she gave us a tour. The rooms were huge and luxurious and for the price you cant beat it! It was amazing to be able to rent bikes right from the hotel. Also, the grand cafe buffet breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent hotel with beautiful restaurant. Great location in quiet neighborhood: walked from the station in about ten minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Many restaurants within an easy walk. Only ten minutes or less to center of the city. Although I had read that they didn't accept Amex, I was able to use it with no problem.

A pleasant surprise awaits at The Post Plaza, as it is connected to an old church and cleverly converted into a unique dining room. If you are bored with the same old hotel design, you will like it here. Also the small City of Leeuwarden is well worth a visit, I want to go back and spend a sightseeing trip there with my husband, my business trip was quite quick, well worth seeing more of The Netherlands and Freisland has its own language too....

Definitely worth it

It's a great place for a city break, close to everything: city center, shopping, train station (~1km). Spacious rooms with big bathroom and the comfiest duvets. Quiet despite that the hotel was probably fully booked while we were there, although some noise from outside was heard when the window was open, but there's not much traffic on that street. The hotel has one of the best cafes in the area, which also serves breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly and efficient no matter how many people were there and they have food for every taste. Definitely recommend it.

The staff were all very helpful and super nice. I felt like each staff member went above and beyond to make sure you were taken care of. Hotel has a great location close to the city centre and lots of shopping. The only downside is there is very limited parking and the closest garage is a 5 minute walk.

Nice hotel close to old town and the center.

A full service hotel encompassing the old post office, newly renovated. The staff is clearly well trained, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is delightful featuring their own beer, coffee and many fine dishes. Breakfast is clearly superior! Parking in the rear is a little awkward as you must walk around the hotel to get to the office, but there is a loading zone in front and you can get to the parking area through the old post office section. Our room was painted a very dark grey or light black and that made it hard to see in the room, even with al the lights on and widows shades up. Still, the room was well appointed, supplied and the bed was especially comfortable.

Well located in Leeuwarden, very clean, modern

This hotel is centrally located in old Leeuwarden and close to all amenities. We walked everywhere from this location very easily throughout the old city.
The rooms are clean, staff very friendly and the restraint bar staff were excellent. They have a fantastic breakfast with the room, one of the best I've had. If your driving I suggest ask for a parking space well in advance as there are only nine available, otherwise it's only about a block to a very secure public parking area which was also affordable.

From post office to hotel

This hotel is situated in the centre of Leeuwarden and is about a 12 min walk from the station and 15 min to all the main attractions. Leeuwarden has lots of cafes and restaurants and it felt safe walking around at night. The room was comfortable with a good-size bed and television and I appreciated the fact that it had a desk and reading light, as I had some work to finish. I used the fitness equipment in the cellar, but thought this area could be used more effectively, if it offered some smaller bits of equipment, like mats and weights. Having a sauna and hot tub available was lovely. The hotel used to be the old post office and was converted sensitively to keep the character of the old building. The main hall, for example, is now a 'Grand cafe' ; a beautiful space with high ceiling and wooden beams. It has a large table with lots of newspapers, which I did not get to use, but looked inviting.

A nice hotel with a good location close to the store and cafe district. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful showing us where the parking was and watching our luggage for a bit after we checked out. Room was comfortable and one of the more comfortable beds that we experienced in our week in Europe. Note that not all rooms currently have air conditioning so if you are there in the midst of summer you may be hot if they are having a heat wave (like when we were there)

We visited Leeuwarden for the KFPS Stallion Show in January. The hotel was in walking distance from both the station and WTC. Taxis are few and far between and have to be ordered. Staff are very friendly and hotel is modern and stylish. Will definitely be back some day.

We had three nights in the presidential suite so no surprise that we loved it really is palatial. it was a family visit so we didn't get to try out the restaurants - breakfast was only average. The hotel is well placed for the town centre and there is plenty nearby to explore if you have a car -a very nice part of the world. the hotel has a car park or there are plenty of other secure public car parks if you want a less expensive option.

The best hotel in Leeuwarden

This was our 2nd stay at the Post Plaza. Very nice hotel near the city center. Within walking distance to the restaurants and shopping. If you come by car, remember to reserve parking. Otherwise you have a 5 minute walk to the public parking garage. The staff at the Post was very helpful. The even called several hours after checkout to let me know I left something behind.
