Location confused Sav nav causing me to miss the junction three times on two occasions because of motorway multiple routes with slip road for hotel. Once there was great to chill out, large room & bathroom in No13 with access to surrounding fields from ground floor room. Bathroom looked great but had to use hand held shower as above shower was full of lime scale, wrong design for commercial usage, bath was great, sink basin would flood shelf underneath because when filled & plug released the water emptied through the unsealed pipe unable to cope with water volume. Enjoyed my time here as quite with good nights sleep. Good breakfast.

Modern clean hotel with spacious rooms
The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and there was plenty of room for our 3 single beds, a desk and our suitcases. Cupboard space was ample and a nice feature was a separate toilet as well as a large bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. We had breakfast at the hotel on one of the days and there was an impressive choice of items. Service was very attentive, friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our stay.

One thing that could have just been a misunderstanding was initially we were told the shuttle was €5 per room. We ended up taking the shuttle once one way and a second time round trip. Total we were charged was €30 - which calculates to €5 per person per way. That should be clearer but things can get lost in translation. Might be helpful also if they have one place where they drop off and pick up for the shuttle. We were dropped off at the train station so returned to the train station for pick up but the driver was waiting at another location! Slightly frustrating.

The room and the staff was perfect, but there was lots of mosquitos in the lobby and the restaurant due to a still standing water pond near the hotel. Luckily there were no mosquitos in the hotel room!

We stayed for several days at the Van Der Valk Hotel in Leeuwarden and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a brand new building on the outskirts of the city and has wonderful amenities. The grounds have not yet been landscaped so there isn’t much to see on the outside. It is a very modern building with very spacious rooms and washrooms. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and both were excellent. It is a very nice hotel to spend some time at while you are in Leeuwarden.

Wij hebben een kamer geboekt voor de rust, vanwege de Elfstedentocht. De kamer zag er erg netjes uit; er was bijna niets op aan te merken. Het enige dat wij misten, waren de verduisterende gordijnen. Door het ontbreken hiervan werden wij eerder wakker dan de bedoeling was. Het restaurant heeft een goede menukaart en het ontbijt was meer dan prima. Het personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Al met al een dikke voldoende voor dit hotel.

We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf in jullie wellness suite. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De wellness faciliteiten (sauna, bubbelbad en dubbele regendouche) in de kamer zijn fantastisch. Netheid op de kamer kan beter: sommige plekjes wat smoezelig en hier en daar vonden we wat kruimels. Het ontbijt is royaal met veel keuze.

A superb Hotel! Overtall, one of the most pleasent hotels we have stayed at! It is a great base for exploring Friesland by car! It is also close to Leeuwarden, which is a great city that can be easily explored using bicycles rented at the hotel. The family room was superb by all means. Large and comfortable, brodering on luxerious, and we enjoied every minute there. Great breakfast!

Prima hotel vlakbij Leeuwarden. Hou er rekening mee dat dit hotel letterlijk in de middle of nowhere ligt. Je moet dus alles met de auto doen. Verder is het een uitdaging om dit hotel te vinden als je in de avond aankomt. Weg naar het hotel is niet goed aangegeven waardoor we een aantal keer verkeerd reden. Het ontbijt is fantastisch!
