Room was very well maintained by the staff and the staff at the check-in were very helpful. However, the aircon wasn’t working throughout the whole building and I was told this would likely be until end of May until it was fixed. Whilst this wasn’t the end of the world, it meant the room was prone to getting humid and stuffy. Consumables were basic, I was on the end of the hand soap bottle and only the bare essentials, no conditioner, were provided. Whilst the piano in the lobby was broken, the hotel was otherwise really well decorated, maintained and held a nice atmosphere inside. Parking is a struggle if you have a car!

Nice but not as lush as the photos suggest

It’s not awful at all & we got a cheap, last minute booking but the photographs make the t look much more luxurious than it is. It’s tired. If you need a clean place to lay your head, book but if you’d like something lovely, I’d say book something else.

Run down and far away.

This hotel is run down and a long walk into the center of town. It seems to mainly be booked by bus tours.
They have a huge pool in a large garden like space that is great for relaxing and there are plenty of pool loungers, although some are broken.

Was a lovely couple of days in Jerez. The hotel was excellent and was reasonably near to centre of old town. It was a 15 minute walk. Breakfast was really good with both hot and cold choices. Staff were very nice and helpful. Bed was super comfy.

The hotel is a little outside of the town center but within walking distance. A nice quiet place and convenient place if someone would like to have a relaxing place. The minor issue is that neighbors are too hearable through the walls. Nevertheless, we visited during a relatively quiet period and therefore, it was not a too disturbing issue.

One night on way to Cadiz

A modern hotel towards the centre of Jerez. Located in a very pleasant neighbourhood. We stayed there just one night on the way to catch a ferry from Cadiz. The room was comfortable and clean and the reception staff were helpful and friendly. I initially made an error with my booking dates through the app (got dates 1 day out) but hotels.com were able to sort this out with the hotel to ensure I was not charged for the night I didn't stay. Not sure if this is a regular thing but there was a large coach party also in when we stayed so our evening meal option in the hotel was restricted to the extensive buffet laid on for the coach party at a cost of 20 EUR each. It was reasonable value and I suspect gave us as much if not more choice than a regular menu would have done.

Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Needs a little updating though. Not the best place to stay if you want to relax in your room. That walls are thin. I could hear the person in the next room snoring all night. The room must have been located next to the housekeeping room. I heard them talking and slamming objects. I've stayed there several other times and had better experiences.

Noisy slamming and banging

The doors to the rooms can only be shut by slamming. Guests came in until the wee hours and the banging of doors (unavoidable for sure) meant for very little sleep. I realize that the cost of retrofitting the door locks could be prohibitive, but it would help keep down the incredible volume of noise.

Disappointing for a 4 star hotel

Outdoor swimming pool was dirty with leaves floating in it.

Breakfast looked liked it it out away everyday and the same stale food put out again the next day

I have to say I found this place extremely disappointing and underwhelming considering it’s a 4 star

May be they have too many coach trips of sherry drinkers .....

A bit dated but good for a night or two

The good: attractive lobby, efficient and friendly check-in, adequate free parking, spacious room, water pressure the fire department would envy.

The room for improvement: the room was very dated, with an old non-functioning wall-mounted trouser press, and a hair dryer in the bathroom the size of a small canister vacuum. The beds were very firm. With an older style hotel, noise travels a bit so at times the hallway noise, even though not excessive or rude, was a bit of a nuisance.

For what we needed (one night passing through) it was totally adequate.

Will definitely stay again!

Overall, the comfort, decor and services provided had exceeded our expectation. It was our planned romantic one night stay before the summer holiday ends. So we wanted a hotel which has a pool and with an environment which would allow us to relax, chill out and is value for money.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The checkin and out was very smooth and efficient. We were promised a king sized bed and we got one at checkin. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

The pool was lovely and we spent much time in it.

The hotel restaurant did not provide lunch but we were given exact information to locate a lovely restaurant which was not too far from the hotel.

We did not eat dinner at the hotel but the buffet breakfast was delicious which served a wide range of different varieties of food and beverages.

We did not venture out to town as we were staying for one night only and wanted to enjoy as much the services and facilities provided within the hotel.

We had enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great stay at the hotel! I was sometimes the only person by the pool, with the most comfortable sun loungers ever! Pool wasn’t heated but that was a nice change from the hot sunshine. Room was spotlessly clean, although twin beds as a double bed was frustrating as my partners ‘half’ was a different mattress and not as comfy as my side. Sink had a few little cracks in and the decor is maybe a little dated but overall the room was great. We did not eat at the hotel due to the extra cost for breakfast but there’s a little supermarket less than a 5 minute walk away where we bought breakfast from.

Lovely modern hotel

Very nice hotel, clean and very comfortable. In a nice quiet area, only 15 minutes walk from the fabulous \"Dancing Horses\" show. Private parking area - very important. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was having to go out for every meal except breakfast. We would have liked to be able to relax in the hotel at nights and have a nice leisurely meal in the dining room, instead of having to either order a pizza to be delivered to the room or go out to one of the local, quite basic, tapas cafes.

Nice hotel but 15-20 mins walk to central area

Jerez was a great place to explore the area. It has some nice places to visit like the cathedral and a sherry tasting there is a must. The rail system was fantastic and reflects the money spent on it. Seville is an hours train ride away and Cadiz about 40 minutes. Great view on the way and and Seville station is spectacular. Mid September it is hot still and I was told even in December it is about 18 degrees

Modern hotel with pool outside the centre.

Nice big modern hotel about 30 minutes walk from the centre of Jerez. Very handy for the Royal Equestrian School and the Sandeman Bodega. Excellent pool though looked like they were still setting it up for the summer in late May. They also charged you €1.50 to rent a towel plus a deposit. We stayed just one night so it worked out great but wouldn't fancy the long walk back every night if it had been for a week. Best to go for the breakfast buffet option too as there was nothing at all round about the hotel as regards cafes or supermarkets.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay very much. The staff were excellent. Room very clean and lots of choices at breakfast. We were able to walk into town to the many bodegas and The Alcazar. The only downside to the Hotel was that the pool area had not been prepared for guest to relax. Would definitely stay again.

I found the hotel to be a little out of the way from town. The room itself was clean and fresh but nothing spectacular. pretty poor overall...room and bedding was dorm quality at best, bathroom faucet leaked and sprayed badly when on....room had no litter bin, curtains didn't actually close properly to cut out early morning light, message light on phone incessantly blinked, even when I asked front desk staff if they could stop it....We put up with it all by spending as little time there as possible, as we were visiting somebody and doing quite a bit of sightseeing....

Arrived 12.0 Couldn't book in 'til 14.0. No bar or restaurant available until after 18.0 so couldn't even get a coffee. Went elsewhere to recommended but indifferent Italian restaurant down road. Bar supposedly open at 18.0 but no staff available - finally got a drink and a snack at 20.0.

We arrived early afternoon, and were told the restaurant did not open til 6pm, so nowhere to get a snack between breakfast and dinner, apart from vending machines. Would be better if the pool was open before noon. (I was chased round the pool at 4pm by the self propelling cleaning thing, trailing a long blue hose!) Other than that, can't fault it!

The hotel is clean and comfortable with the room being particularly pleasant. However, one has to trek to the lower ground floor for breakfast, through a large mezzanine area before entering what is clearly a conference hall laid out for breakfast. Breakfast itself was adequate, a good selection but machine delivered coffee, poor hot food and a lack of atmosphere lets the hotel. The bar near reception is poor, usually unattended and not well stocked. If there is another one I never found it.

A fantastic Hotel

This was a lovely hotel it was close to the centre in a lovely neiboughood very safe and the staff was so helpfull I have to say apart from the very small coffee cups we have nothing negative to say about it.
If we ever go back to Jerez we would love to stay there again.

Little extras make the difference!

Lack of hot drink making facilities in the room was poor in my view and also very sparse toiletries in the bathroom-needs attention to detail. Also breakfast was very poor quality-for an international hotel no proper tea and decent cups for tea! Come on Jerez! You want European travellers then cater for us-not just for Spanish tourists! Beds were comfy though and staff friendly and helpful-just some attention to detail and the stay would have been much better.

The hotel Exe Guardalete is very well positioned to visit the Jerez Horse Fair (Feria de Caballo). It's a short walk away from both the fairground and Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art and when the excitement gets a bit too much you can relax around the pool.

The hotel lobby was very grand and the room was comfy tho air con rubbish was like a sauna in room . Breakfast was mediocre . The hotel was like a ghost town and the biggest disappointment was the facilities tho the pool area was open it would have been better closed . The pool and surrounding areas were dirty and very run down, it claimed to have a bar and a sauna but had neither . I know it was early April but you expect a 4star to have some facilities all year . The staff were ok and a special mention for kassandra at the bar tho her English was very limited she was very willing to try and understand us my daughter speaks Spanish so we conversed through her . All in all would not go back unless all amenities it claimed to have were open .

I and my brother stayed for just one night on way back from Cadiz to the UK. We booked the hotel closed to the Jerez airport as we had an early flight. The hotel was situated in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was spacious and the interior was very clean and pleasant. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfy. There was even a little sitting area outside the room which unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy. Will definitely book the hotel again next when I visit the place again.

I have stayed many times,location is excellent,close to old jerez and great dining across the avenida,supermarket for baby supplies etc.riding school within 5 min walk.free parking.great value for money.I will be back

Good place for the price

Perfect place to stay if you have a car as parking is free and abundant. Also very well priced and had fast free internet. About 5 minutes driving to the city centre and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Would stay here again
