I like the hotel so far but I have one thing to say I want to mention about it is when I did my reservation l had I pick the room it was queen bed or twin bed that only option I have I choose that one and then I add special request was please I prefer twin beds . When I arrived the room with queen bed the one pick for me my question why they add special request for guest if no one read the request or care about it I asked for extra pillow the same thing was declined no one pay attention about my request.

We would have liked to have AC or a ceiling fan in the room. It would have been nice to have some USB ports for charging devices in the room. Otherwise, it was an excellent hotel and we loved our stay there. The decor was unique and tasteful, the dinner was excellent, and the breakfast was superior to anything we have had in a hotel before. Truly a boutique hotel. We will stay there again.

It’s actually a nice place , the reason I gave it a 3 star is : the waiter was very unfriendly, when we ask for a bottle of wine for the room . 30 Europ. bottle, the only thing he had to do was , give us the bottle and two glasses . But he was very rude in his reaction . I even told him - wow you are very unfriendly. He did not really react to it . The hotel also did not give us the one hour more for check out ( like we ask) usually good hotels do that for a price . When I complained about the waiter to the Boss , she did not anything or did not show any sympathy. Was our first time and last time - sadly

All was excellent except for one thing, it was hot, no AC, so windows needed to be opened…which invited mosquitoes to fly in and bite…which they did. Have these places never heard of spraying for mosquitoes to stay away? It’s so unpleasant, hearing them buzzing around and trying to stay cool… so hotels…either spray or install ac for your guests! Otherwise…great place!

Arrived early afternoon, staff very friendly, got a room ready for us even though it was an hour before check-in time. However, no food, also located kind of in the middle of nowhere, no restaurant options. Ended up getting a piece of cake in a cafe.
Room clean, comfortable, sign not to put luggage on bed but no other option provided. Internet slow in the evening. Dinner good, exceptionally friendly staff. Cannot get desert after 9:30 when kitchen closes. Get there early.
Bed ok, mattress soft. Would have preferred a more firm one, but that is personal preference. Same for pillow.
Breakfast very nice, ample, large selection, great coffee.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN MUNICH

This is an amazing hotel in the German countryside just outside the city limit of Munich! It is quiet, peaceful, quaint, gorgeous - almost like a bed and breakfast! The food is amazing, the staff is over the top professional and kind. They took excellent care of us. It is about a 20 minute drive from the hectic life of downtown Munich. There is a grocery store within walking distance of the hotel where you can purchase water, snacks etc. I will definitely stay here again! The facility is not very large, and rooms book quickly here.

Our room was very large and comfortable with tasteful furnishings. The facility is easily navigated with luggage as it had large elevator. The staff is very friendly .
The food and service in the dining and bar areas was very good, as was the breakfast. The car park is directly in front of the entrance . The beds were very comfortable .
The only negative is that it is difficult to get there due to the road and bridge construction taking place in the area.

Far from train. hotel has no shuttle. Staff not helpfull. No a/c in the rooms. I had to make a reservation for dinner cause they would not let me in the dining room without it. Middle of nowhere. Taxi is expensive. Rude staff. No wifi either they say they have it but it does nit work. Avoid this place. I cant believe how much I paid

Quiet stay in the country

We really enjoyed the serenity of the local area. Just a couple minutes ride from the S-bahn that takes you into Munich ,which made it a very easy to visit Thereseinweise(Oktoberfest) with little driving involved. The breakfast was the best we had during our entire trip in Germany! The wait staff was always very pleasant in the morning and greeted us everyday with a smile. Highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the luxury and birding in garden

We liked talking the stairs in this hotel and all others. We traveled with one large and one small suitcase; rather light. Only used the elevator with luggage. Our room was HUGE, the bathroom was HUGE; all modern amenities with a classic design. SO COMFORTABLE and beautiful.

Breakfast every day was in elegant dining room. Dinner in the evenings was served next door in the other elegant dining room. The food was DELICIOUS and well-prepared and presented. They had AWESOME homemade kiwi-apple marmalade and juices and iced tea. All of the staff people throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly, and spoke very good English; they treated us like we were special!

Room 303 was on the top floor (main, first, and second), overlooking the garden. Loved photographing the birds that frequented it every day. Neighborhood is country-like and quiet for a good night's sleep.

Wished guests did not smoke cigarettes AT ALL. Smoke would waft into our room from the garden. But this is NOT the fault of the hotel, other than it is not a STRICTLY non-smoking property. People smoke outside as close to the building and their rooms as possible, UNFORTUNATELY.

This was our third time at Ampervilla Great quiet location. Not exactly an airport hotel as you require a car to access the area.
Very clean , good staff and great breakfast selection.
This time our room location was a disappointment only in as much that it was noisy , under the restaurant and lites shining into room. Couldn’t leave the windows open and no air on.

Almost all the hotels were sold out it too expensive. I picked this hotel because it was not too far from the airport. The beds pillows were outstanding ! It had a bath tub which was important to me to be able to soak before the morning flight. The breakfast was good. Excellent but a little pricey for us.

A great nights sleep.

Great hotel, only a short distance from Munich Airport. Very quiet and great for a good nights sleep. After a lot of travelling and business meetings it was great to go to sleep early without noise. I had come down with a cold but the combination of an excellent nights sleep and a great breakfast helped me climb into the next day and get on the autobahn.

Saving The Best For Last

Our last night in Europe was spent at Hotel Ampervilla before flying back to the US. I can honestly tell you that it was a true pleasure to walk through the doors, and I hope to do so again.

We arrived for a late check in after driving in from Zurich, and the staff was eagerly awaiting our arrival. This was the first hotel where staff held the door and offered to help with bags. Check in was an absolute breeze, and upon arrival into our room, it was EXACTLY what was in the photos and description.

Breakfast was included in the room rate, but we had to be at the airport prior to it starting. We were asked if we would like to have something to take with us in the morning, and we said we were fine. We left our key on the front desk in the morning prior to heading to the airport.

Even though they have a restaurant on site, the staff did make some good recommendations for local eateries. Just down the road, there are some great places, which ended up being our best meal of the entire trip. They were nothing but helpful and courteous the entire time.

THe only downside is the parking situation. The parking lot is one way in, with no place to turn around. You have to back out. There is some on street parking, and a small lot next to the hotel that is their parking. But it will fill up fast.

I really hope to come back and stay there again. It was truly a pleasure, and very relaxing to be here.

Do you want to see Dachau? Do you NOT like to drive in and out of the Center of Munich? This is a location for you.

The Hotel is exceptional: cleanliness, atmosphere, room size, comfort, and FOOD!!!

The hotel is located 25 kilometers north of Munich and on Route 13 which goes right into the center of Munich......Adain there is a train station near the hotel.

A little far from Everything

The hotel location worked well for me because I had meetings in multiple cities but it is out of the way and a substantial drive to any major city. The rooms were clean but could use updated. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, the dinners were good but nothing special. My one complaint would be that the towels supplied by the hotel were a bit tattered, old and scratchy. Overall I would stay there again.

First night as empty nesters

We absolutely LOVE this place. Had really kind of stumbled across it and we had just dropped the last of our children at school (she is going to Bodenseehof). Everything about this place is incredible. The only negative thing was that we weren't there long enough to enjoy everything about the property. It is beautiful, quaint, peaceful, . . . . . Cleanliness was amazing. Everything was immaculate. The staff was so kind and genuine and the food was amazing!!!!! There is absolutely no doubt that we will be back.

Comfy hotel not far from Munich Airport

We stayed just one night at the hotel Ampervilla before my husband flew out of Munich the next morning. The hotel is very clean...hotel staff were welcoming and professional...and the room was very nicely appointed and very comfortable. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Munich, and there is not much to do in the area, but if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a quiet location, then this hotel is a great deal. The breakfast buffet was also great.

I was looking for a hotel near the Munich airport. I looked for a place with a reasonable cost, but that was rated decently. Ampervilla was an excellent choice. It was also near a grocery store that I was wanting to visit. The hotel was very clean, very comfortable, and their food was great! When I booked with Expedia I was not aware they served meals.

We only spent a night before our flight back to home but it was a pleasant experienced, very good service from staff and great breakfast. The only thing i didn't like was we were in room 102 which is on the first floor and the room is near by the sauna, front desk, restaurants and kitchen so I could hear lots of foot steps and carts rolling through the halls til midnight easily since they have wood floor.

We got to the room and we knew it wouldn't have AC but when we opened the windows, mosquitos and bugs were flooded in. Plus smokers outside brought the smell of cigarette smoke into our room. So it was very hot, mosquito bites and cigarette smoke all night.

We were looking for a place to overnight that would allow us easy and quick access to Munich Airport. Ampervilla was just right. However, we also loved the area. It is in a lovely rural area that had a number of small towns, quiet little restaurants and lots of small town charm. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and convenient.

This is our second time at Ampervilla in the last three months.
Nothing much had changed from our previous review. Still a great place to stay, great staff good food and very clean and well maintained
Only two hiccups . we were given a room on the road side and this can be noisy if you leave the window open as there is no air con.
Secondly although a non smoking establishment the smokers hang out in the entrance of the facility.

We selected this hotel so we would be outside Munich proper, but have good access to the Munich airport. The country-like location was very good, and easily accessible by car. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Front-desk staff were helpful in providing information and direction for transit access into central Munich. It seemed that the hotel is used for business conferences and was quite busy. The dining room was very noisy and difficult to have a quiet conversation. The breakfast area was very well-serviced, but the tables were all community-type, not personal and private. Overall, we were quite satisfied with this hotel.

Hotel AmperVilla is wonderful! A perfect, easy to find low traffic area to refresh after 24+ hours of air travel. Excellent staff, spotlessly clean, quiet, exceptional breakfast, good parking, nice furnishings. The restaurant was not open for lunch but the staff directed us to a nice eatery with super food a very short distance away. We were there in early April when it was cool so for us it was a perfect start to a terrific visit. I'd recommend taking public transportation into Munich because driving and parking is a nightmare! If we every fly into Munich again we will definitely stay at AmperVilla.

The hotel does not appear to be on the main tourist track and that is a real positive. Located in the \"countryside\" in a quiet and relaxed environment within easy access to autobahn.
The staff are friendly, engaging and helpful and provide a level of service that is rarely found these days.
The rooms are quite large as is the bathroom. Comfortable beds and the whole place is exceptionally clean and well maintained.
You would be hard pressed to find a similar property in ones travels.
Last but important for a good start to the day is the breakfast buffet. It has a great selection of meats , dairy and bakery as well as hot food. The made to order scrambled eggs are to die for.
Rooms have a mini bar and there is a bar within the hotel. Didn't see any coffee or tea making in the room
We have rebooked the hotel on the return trip.

Stayed here the night before taking my son to the airport. It is a very nice hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was amazing. My sons and I enjoyed it very much. We recommend it!

Must consider: 5 star.

Clean, comfortable, large room a 15 minute drive from Munich International Airport. Friendly, English speaking staff. Family friendly hotel decorated in a traditional manner with a modern touch. Attractive restaurant serving excellent food and a sumptuous, free, breakfast. Ample free parking, reasonable rates. Not sure if they offer Airport transfers for guests without a car.

Nice hotel far from the airport

I looked for a hotel close to the airport and was recommended by Expedia to take this one.
Everything was great BUT it took 40 min drive from the airport.
