Overall a good experience, mainly liked the location, very central and lots of cafes, restaurants around. It is close to public transport, but I didn’t even need to use transport because most the landmarks was 10-15 mins walking distance. Room was in good condition, daily cleaned but the air inside was quite hot and dry. Staff was helpful. They also have some activities, which I didn’t join but heard it is good.

Cheap place and nothing that bad. Lots of small annoyances like the room being extremely hot with little ability to cool it down. Bed had hairs on it that didnt belong to my group. After missing the first night I contacted the property to let them know in advance, didnt get a response,

They make you aware that is noisy, and it is!

So I was top bunk in a 6 bed female dormitory, id say they need to put some kind of curtains in the bed for more privacy, and also they lack of a reel or something to dry out the towels. 6 people, 6 towels to dry inside where no place to hang them can be difficult.

Average stay otherwise, the earplugs they provide do work, because it is as they say a noisy party place. Didnt feel that safe walking alone in the area at night.

Really fun hostel with lots of things to do. Staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating and always making sure to make you feel included in any activities that were happening. Nice and clean and very safe. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very convenient location. It's in the heart of the old town Budapest. Very comfy beds and spacious bath in each room. Clean linen. Very friendly staff. If you are a party person, this place is for you. it's a building with 3 floors: Up are the rooms and the lobby downstairs. Also are a very cute interior patio with tables and great music.

It was very clean. People came in to clean the shared row of bathrooms every single day. It really is a party hostel, which is clear in the name so it may a little noisy during holiday season and weekends. Not an issue at all. Everyone has lockers and the beds are very comfortable. There's a lack of privacy and you can see everyone clearly on the beds. Also not a huge problem for a hostel.

Stayed Wed-Sat nights.

Positives:

Easy to find.

Smooth check-in.

Bunk beds were very nice since they were more like individual pods. Each had an outlet and light. A curtain would have been nice though.

Easy to book trips onsite. My group booked a booze cruise and pub crawl, both recommended.

Negatives:
No chairs or table even though there was plenty room for at least 2 chairs and a table. With 4 people staying in a room, if each person wants to sit, there would be 2 sitting on each bottom bunk.

Bar/club that is attached is convenient, but do not plan on any sleep until they are closed since it is open until 4 and 5AM. Our unit's door/windows are open directly to the club.

Only enough soap in shower for 1 day, we had to ask 2 times for more, then when it was brought it was hand soap, which isn't the best for hair/body, especially after a long day in 33C heat. Housekeeping was in our room because the garbage bag was changed, other than that I have no idea what they did.

Overall:
If your goal is to go partying each night and be up very late, this is the best place to stay.
If you plan on going to bed before 4AM, definitely do not stay here unless you are an extremely sound sleeper.

Really fun place to stay

Such a great, social hostel ! It’s linked with a company who run the events - their staff are so welcoming and fun. The hostel itself is in great condition, clean and the beds are comfortable. Location is brilliant too, very lively! It is however very noisy because of the bar - if you’re a party person you’ll be fine (you should bring earplugs though), but if you like to go to bed early then this place probably isn’t for you! I had a great time here and will definitely stay again the next time I’m in Budapest :)

Amazing room for the price. We were group of 3 so we had a private room. We had everything we needed except internet. I’m not sure why it didn’t work in our room.
If you want to meet people and have a party experience, this is the place for you

It was really nice to stay here. The staffs were really nice about everything. Hotels.com did not give us any reservation codes of Hive Party Hostel. But a nice lady named Regina helped us sort this issue out. Another nice lady named Molly gave us a clean and exact details about the hostel and its rules. She also helped us with information about tourist places, pubs, trusted atms to withdraw cash. Wish them best wishes for their hard work. Rooms were really fashionable and clean. There is a bar downstairs. They also have a free luggage storage which gave us a relief before check in.
Will stay again if we go to Budapest again.

I specifically chose this property bc they offered Air conditioning. Well it didn't work the 2 nights I was there. Everyone at the room complained and they said a technician would come fix it, but no one ever did. It was torture as it is still summer and would like a full refund....worst experience ever.

Honestly the best hostel I’ve ever been to! Staff are super helpful and the hostel is very clean which made me feel really comfortable. The vibe there was incredible and the location is perfect, it’s close to everything. 100% recommend.

Good location, big space. The bedsheets were not clean when I arrived and I asked to be changed. The hostel doesn’t provide even basic amenities such as towels or soap. Take your own or pay for it. A deposit for the room key is charged upon arrival and cannot be paid by credit card. It’s quite noisy, there is a club with live music right below the hostel, that didn’t bother me really but if you are sensitive to noise this won’t be the place for you to stay. The staff was OK but they didn’t seem very happy or welcoming, especially the girls. The lights inside the room where to dim, which was a bit depressing. Overall, this is an OK place to stay if you are travelling on a budget (even though my room was private and not really cheap for what it was) or if you can’t find anything else. If I’d have known about the noise, that is a party hostel and the complete lack of amenities (which was not específico on Expedia, where I booked it), I would have put a bit more of money and stayed somewhere a bit more upscale.

The title says it all, this is a party hostel, but not quite the party I expected.
There is a social aspect to this hostel no doubt, they offer booze cruises and party's if you sign up, but not on premises. On premises is a club/venue with live bands every night. They're fantastic and you get a free show from the balcony, however be aware the music will easily travel into your room shaking your walls until 4am. I did not realise it would be quite so loud in the rooms when I booked.
The rooms are lovely, the Lockers are large and the bathroom is adequate.
There is luggage storage if required.
The location is the best! Amazing part of pest close to everything especially the ruin pubs.

If you want live music (mostly loud, often very loud) this is your place, every night.
The kitchen good size and room to sit except NO cups/mugs/glasses, staff say clients did it.
Found the party people messed up the kitchen...... very tacky people.
Good base for city centre
Room mates... girls only.... water everywhere in the bathroom.... good grief

Gostei com quartos individuais a bom preço. Não tem toalhas de banho (acho que eu devia saber disso) bem localizado. Várias opções de comida perto, bares. Tem um roof top para festas o que incomoda um pouco mas de boa. A limpeza não troca roupas de cama.

Ein gutes und sauberes Hostel.
Freundliches Personal. Betten uns Zimmer sehr sauber. Ich habe mich trotz Mehrbettzimmer sehr wohl gefühlt . Das es in einem Parthostel auch etwas lauter ist, ist logisch. Dafür hat man eine Rooftopbar vor Ort. . Nachträglich ärgere ich mich darüber sie nicht besucht zu haben. Einziger Lritikpunkt war , daß

billigt og godt !

prisen var god. belliggenheden var god. sengene var gode og værelset har kun senge og et privat bad. intet andet, men det er jo hostel. Vi havde dog privat værelse med 6 senge, hvor vi vi var 4. ikke egnet til børnefamilier, eller folk der gerne vil sove og vågne tidligt. den ene nat kunne vi med ørepropper godt sove, men næste nat hjalp de heller ikke. der er meget larm da, der er et diskotek i stuen eller haven kan man godt kalde det. men, man får meget for pengene alligevel. kan anbefales.

Great place but beware of the loud music.

A great place with a perfect location close to everything. I rented a double room for myself, so I can not tell you about the dorm rooms. My room seemed to be newly renovated so it was in perfect condition as was the bathroom. High celling made it spacy but a bit dark since the curtains wasn't meant to be drawn. The aircondition worked so the temperature in the room was at my wish. I rented the room because of the price and the location, not because of the party piece. I had read about and was aware that there were going to be loud music long after my bedtime, but I was not prepared for what i encountered. I had brought earplugs but lay in bed wishing I hade also brought my noise cancelling headphones.

nice funny but not cozy

The location is really top. Can reach most of sightseeing spots on foot. For a solo traveler it’s really easy to meet some new ppl here. The mood in this hostel is more lively and friendly than any other hostel but if you want to stay some cozy place then plz not here. During my staying in my room there were some girls, had sex every nights in 12 dormitory room. I think it’s kind of NOT THAT AWKWARD situation here :((
