This hotel is under major renovation. The entire bottom floor was gutted. Construction equipment in the hallways. No coffee pot in the room. The beds were clean but the hotel overall was no good. The staff was great and did apologize for what was going on.

We booked two different one night stays on our way down to the coast and the way back. What they didn’t mention on this site was they are under construction, with noise from the construction from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. both times we were there. When we went up to our room on the return trip, we opened the door to enter with our card key and there was a young man sitting at the desk using his cell phone. He said he was there “to check on the towels” and left. Eerie!
The breakfast on the return trip that is usually a dividend of staying at Holiday Inn Express was disappointing, too. It was in a small room with only 6 tables-there were no cinnamon rolls,just empty containers, one of the cereals was running very low and no attendant in sight. As we were leaving, someone did come in and went in and got two packages of cinnamon rolls and put them in their designated area. However. they were still tightly wrapped and cold. The attendant then disappeared again.
Was very disappointed, we normally like to stay at Holiday Inn Express when are traveling but this experience will give us pause to pick them again.

This hotel is being renovated at the moment and is full of builders and dust. The room itself was fine but the breakfast area was very limited and the floors are dusty. I just used it as a stop over but if I had know before I booked the extent of the works going on I would have booked somewhere else.
Having said that, the town of Forsyth is really rather lovely, friendly, pretty and plenty of places to eat etc.

The hotel was under construction. We would have preferred to know this ahead of time. By far, the customer service at the front desk was amazing. The hotel, the room, and the noise level was not! No one wants to relax to the sound of drilling and construction. Also, the breakfast was lackluster. Not up to the Holiday Inn brand.

Staff was very nice , the building is undergoing renovations and we were in one of the newly renovated rooms. The only bad thing was the a c unit made a terrible squeaky noise that made it hard to go to sleep . We knew changing rooms was not an option as the night auditor said there were no rooms left. I would stay here again if i had to but it may not be my top choice .

The hotel is going under renovation so it had a lot of noise and most of the parking lot was taken up with storage trailers. The room I stayed in was okay, really could not tell if it was renovated, well it did not look that renovated. There was a water stain on the entry hallway ceiling, the decor did not look all that up to date. However, the room was clean and was adequate for my 2 night stay. I will give the included breakfast high marks because there was a variety of food to select (bacon, sausage, pancakes, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc.). I will stay here again if I have a class to take at GEMA or GPSTC.

Great room with 2 beds, it was clean the beds.were comfy. Dog friendly with a grassy area to walk the doggies. Nice staff, friendly and courteous. Under a renovation but we were not disturbed at all. We enjoyed the breakfast and the comfort of a Holiday Inn Express.

Room was old but okay. However, the whole place is going through full renovation like ripping all the rooms. It would have been nice to know beforehand that there was full renovation is happened the place is literally construction zone. While my stay was okay, they should have given the rooms deep discount considering I could have stayed across the street in similar hotel without surrounded by active construction around me.

The heater in my room wouldn't turn off on its own. It was either on or off. I had to keep getting up throughout the night to turn it off when it was getting hot in the room or on when it was getting cold. There was also a bug in the tub that I had to wash down the drain when I got in the room.

When we arrived at around 6pm we were notified that there would be no water until 7pm due to maintenance upgrades. It would have been nice to be warned prior to arriving. When the water was back on, it took over an hour for the hot water to run clear enough (it was dark brown for about 20 minutes) to take our showers. Other than that, the room felt very run down and you could see where many patch jobs had been made.We'll try another hotel in the area next time.

The concern was the rooms that were offered are on the side of the interstate. Very noisy. The Rooms were 115 and 117. Because of noise level of the interstate , I was unable to get a sleep or full night rest because of how close the interstate was to hotel location.
No noise control in the area. Not happy at all with rooms.
Reached out early in morning to complain and requested a credit. Because we were traveling with an elderly person I was concerned with moving to a location without their awareness. Offered earplugs that did not help. Plans to reach out to Tom or other manager on duty to request a credit.

Called ahead to confirm 4AM or later check-in would be okay, and was told it would be. When I showed up at 4:15AM the next day, absolutely exhausted, no one was at the desk. Apparently the front desk person was getting breakfast ready. When she went to check me in, I saw the sheet was labeled \"3:30AM no show\" at the top left. I went up to my room and immediately looked for a DO NOT DISTURB sign, which I could not find. I assumed from the note on the sheet that I would not be disturbed, so I showered and went to bed. At 9AM the next morning cleaning is knocking on my door, when I had to yell through the door repeatedly, they said that \"they would be back.\" I had to go out and open the door to tell them do not return. It wasn't until the next night that I discovered the Do Not Disturb sign - someone had slid it almost entirely under the TV stand on the left side, away from the door.

Please ensure the DO NOT DISTURB signs are easily located in each room, or ensure that guests who arrived very late are not disturbed the following morning by the cleaning crew. Your own internal documentation shows when a guest arrives very late. There is no reason for this to happen, and frankly, I have never had this happen in all my travels. This feels like gross oversight from the perspective of the guest.

Staff was so very accommodating. We traveled 14 hours by car and about 2 1/2 hours prior to arriving, I made the reservation on hotels.com. Not sure if I inadvertently tried wrong date or you can’t make reservations for same date but I didn’t verify before accepting non refundable rate. I called hotel directly and they told me they thought they could change it. When I arrived I was told they had made a mistake and they could change it but they would let us stay without payment as they get payment the next night from hotels .com. . I offered to pay and they they could reimburse me later. Very impressed with all the work that Amelia at front desk and (perhaps her manager) did to work with me. They never once made me feel like I was putting them out for my own mistake. Highly recommend for customer service.

My only minor complaint was the beds were too firm for my liking but I would still stay again knowing how much their staff values their customers

When I went to turn my keys in he didn’t come out of the back area to check and another person also just left his card on the desk.

Room was smaller than expected and cramped. They would have done better to not put so much furniture in the room. There was barely enough space to walk between the bed and TV stand/drawers. I've paid less for better, larger rooms and definitely feel like I did not get the value I expected. The room and the entire building also had a musty smell.The shower had a big crack in the wall and there was hair from the previous guests in the tub. I had to clean it before using it.

Breakfast was the usual fare and was good. The only miss there was that there was no coffee and it was not replenished the entire time I was eating. 50/50 on whether I'll stay here again.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The room was dated, dark and dreary. I loved the Keurig coffee maker. The shower head did not run freely, the tub backed up a bit during the shower and the bathroom floor was sticky, as was the desk chair. Staff was friendly, breakfast was decent for a free meal. We stayed here as my son loves Holiday Inn Express, but we were disappointed in this particular hotel.
