Neat place to stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, but staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was small. Breakfast could have been better for the $10. charged. Mostly cereals and coffee and toast. The location did not disappoint. We had dinner at Corylus restaurant about 2 km from hotel, good. Shower water was strong.

Don't trust the picture you see on the website !

Not that clean. Building and rooms need a lot of love... can hear neighbours even in the \"luxury room\", water of one of the swimming pool was greenish...
Very expensive for what it was ! Breakfast not included and haven't tried it.
Cleaners were very nice. Lady at reception ok.

Great pools and clean rooms

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the pool area—there are three pools to enjoy, plus a small park for the kids and some beautiful views. We had a few minor issues during our stay, but they were addressed quickly and professionally.

One thing to note: if the weather isn’t great, there aren’t many indoor activities for kids, so keep that in mind if you're traveling during the off-season. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay!

I chose deliberately a pet friendly property but when I arrived I had to be upgraded to another room to accommodate my small non-shedding dog plus a pet fee increasing the expected $120 to almost double that. Hotels.com should ensure that when a customer chooses the \"pet friendly\" option, that the quoted price reflects this with no further unexpected costs. Enough people now travel with pets that this is not out of the ordinary.

By the time , we reached the reception desk, the roots of the trees had lifted the asphalt, making it dangerous.
The breakfast, announced as eggs, bacon and so on, was at first a little lacking, then supplemented with hard-boiled eggs and sandwich bread (cheap), butter in a bowl with greasy edges, and no one to add what was missing (the cook had supposedly broken a leg). The toilets were not clean in this part of the hotel.
In the room booked for 4 with a supplement for the 4th person, the bath sheet turned into a medium-sized towel. ??
The bedding was cheap and very uncomfortable.
The coffee maker in the room didn't work, and there was only one capsule for 4, so only 1 capsule was free for the person who had booked the room. That's a bit tight!
We had left the sign so that the staff could come into our room to make up the beds and check what was missing.

Used towels
Sunday night we ran out of toilet paper. This is unacceptable!
The water in this room was not drinkable and I was given free bottles which normally pay.
The pool was not free (I had to negotiate to swim 1 time).
This hotel is marked 3 stars on the website and is only worth 1.
Not much is true about this hotel on this website.
You must remove this hotel from your Travelocity website.
Everything is abandoned.
It's a scam.
I request a refund of my bill which amounts to 772, 26 $ CAD.

They never cleaned the room, the breakfast was very simple and they charged it separately, and the reception should have worked all night, their schedules did not coincide with ours since we could not close the door to our room and we had to leave leaving the door unlocked.

The hotel and history is super cool. The room was clean and in good condition. Lots of rooms with breath taking views and can accommodate larger familly. I appreciate the choice of size rooms. The place is fill with history. The outside could use a bit more maintenance but the place is full of different area that are worth exploring.

Tel la plupart des récents commentaires; je ne recommande absolument pas. Ils nous font payer la facture avant même d’arriver ou voir les chambres; incluant les frais beaucoup trop chers de $30.00/jour pour notre chien. C’est abusif; n’avons jamais visite un endroit à la fois aussi rapide à prendre notre argent mais; si peu enclin à donner un service de qualité. Conditions, entretien et service à la clientèle médiocres; les photos et descriptions ne correspondent plus; ce sont de la poudre aux yeux car presque tout est maintenant délabrés et à l’abandon. Une annonce de «reno» en 2022 de notre chambre sélectionnée (chambre club) est mensongère. Pas de climatisation, pas d’eau potable, difficultés à avoir de l’eau chaude pour la douche, pas de moustiquaire à la porte patio, poignée de porte qui coince, peinture qui écaille partout; des rideaux et nouvelle literie ne suffit pas à prétendre que la chambre est rénovée. C’est déplorable que de nuire de la sorte à de tels endroits qui ont construit l’histoire au Québec; un exemple de quoi décourager le tourisme au Quebec

When I book through Expediafor 5 people I made my reservation with breakfast included, when we get to the hotel the admin told us that there was breakfast included only for one person! Whichbis ridiculous.... There was pool in the hotel but they charge about $15.00 each to access... is the only hotel that does this type of things, coffe at the lobby at $1.25.
Poor cleanning, no AC in the room we are not coming back, not recommended 👎

I had accidentally booked a second room because I could not locate my initial reservation. After recovering within 5 mins of making the reservation I trued to contact to the hotel direction via phone and email. I reached out to Expedia to help out. They also tried to reach out on my behalf to cancel my 2nd reservation and refund me. Simply human error. I finally spoke with someone who said they would cancel it. The next day at my checkout I was told they would still charge me for the second room even when they had rented it to other guests. Poor business etiquette. They proceeded to blame Expedia, Expedia said they refused the reimbursement. No potable water at the hotel, offering one small bottle water for they stay. Will not go back.

Beautiful location. Reduced staff, but very accommodating. We booked River view suite and changed to a ground floor unit upon arrival as there are no elevator to the second floor. My daughter has a power wheelchair. The room are not adapted, but we were able to access the room which was fine for us.

In need of TLC… not up to snuff

Booked a superior room with river view! The view was fantastic and did not disappoint. The older, vintage feel to the motel was actually a plus in our books. The beds were decent too. Where this motel falls short was overall condition, cleanliness and service. Mold was seeping through the bathroom ceiling and bath tiles were in disrepair. Though our linens were clean, the chairs had crumbs and were old and used. The tables had not been sanitized and windows were a bit grimy. The cleaning staff seemed overworked as our room was ready only by 6 pm +. In these Covid times, management should prioritize thorough sanitation in rooms. There was no service to our room on the 2nd night of our stay (no replenishment of coffee or quick tidying up). For a $259 price tag, we think this motel fell short. I hope the owners will “up their game”, take care of this motel that has lots of potential and duly repair and maintain it! If they do, I could see people really enjoying the place and coming back. Oh yeah… the pool area is really far and nothing spectacular. An investment in a nice pool area would be great for families with kids.

Not really \" hotel\" but more like cheap motel that cost $275 per night!
Facility not well maintained or cared for. Pool closes early, open late.
Beds and room furniture dated and not suitable. Bath tub was basic, like students dorms, with curtain that doesn't even reach the skirt, hence floor was soaked after each use.
Rooms bye the pool are very noisy. To go get ice at main area, need to climb 120 thick stairs which was challenge on its own.
Water in rooms are not clean for drinking!
Really entire experience was just not fitting the price we paid or experience you expect at this price point. Truth is even at $100 a night I would not go back( we left after one night!)

It’s just so so. When we arrived the hotel, the reception told us our reservation was unavailable . I was surprised to hear that and had to upgrade our room and spent 100$ more to get a room. I was not satisfied with it. I never had this kind of problem with expedia before. I hope that expedia would give us an explanation and refund the money for upgrade our room. The view of this hotel is very good but the service is not good. Nobody cleaned our room even we hung a card with ‘ please clean our room ´ outside our door because we lived 2 nights there. The staff did not know the schedule of the swim pool when we asked him while he was cleaning the room besides the pool. The smell of the sand is not good around the pool.

The advertised amenities were a nice touch but not exactly as advertised. The heated saltwater pool was simply a pool with very cold water. The tennis court was virtually unusable. The on-site restaurant was grossly overpriced and quality of food was atrocious. The room was missing toilet paper, the shower and toilet only functioned intermittently. Staff were responsive to calls inquiring about these issues though and the rooms were located very close to the shore of the river which was nice.

Nous avons choisi une chambre sans tapis. Les chambres sans tapis semblent avoir été rénovées, malgré que le décors semble être resté figé dans les années 60. La chambre était propre, mais aucun service de ménage n’était offert en raison de la Covid 19. Les lits étaient confortables. Par contre, le prix de la chambre est beaucoup trop élevé pour ce qui est offert (mauvais rapport qualité prix).

L’information fournie par le personnel de la réception était très minimale (on m'a demandé de payer et remis la clé - possiblement qu'il y avait une barrière linguistique).

Le site est jolie (ça ressemble plus a un motel qu’à un hôtel). L’hôtel est situé sur une colline avec vue sur le Fleuve St-Laurent. Un petit sentier tout en fleur longe le côté Fleuve. Plusieurs aires de jeux et de repos sont disponibles (chaises, balançoires, golf miniature et autres).

Irritants:
Le Wi-Fi ne fonctionne pas du tout.
Les nuits étaient très chaudes et humides et aucun air climatisé dans les chambres.
Chambres mal isolées, on entend ce qui se passe dans les autres chambres.
Terrain de tennis non utilisable (non entretenu et presence de végétation en plein milieu de l’asphalte).
Aucun terrain de volleyball.
Piscine pas facilement accessible (à l’extérieur du site), il faut descender plusieurs paliers d’escalier et traverser la route pour pouvoir y accéder.

Je ne retournerai pas à cet hôtel.

It was too expensive for the quality of the place. Room too small. Everything was old. Bathroom didn't work well. Check in took 30 minutes because they take too long to find reservation. I took the phone to call reception to fix a problem in bathroom and the phone was full of dust. Cleaning was not good. That room should cost half of the price they charge to be worth. The only good thing was the location. Location was very good.

The Roche Pleureuse Hotel could be a great place to stay, but it certainly wasn't our experience. We reserved the last room available (beware of room 97) and that is probably partly why our stay was so disappointing. Our room was clean, but the beds were extremely uncomfortable (the mattresses felt like sleeping on plywood covered in a thin layer of squeaky plastic) and the TV essentially didn't work. There was so much snow on the screen you couldn't see a thing. We asked about both issues at the reception desk, but the very grumpy and only staff member basically said that they were full and the room was what it was. He offered to go check the TV when he could. When we came back to our room later in the evening and called Reception, the same grumpy man told us he had checked the TV and he found that Channel 5 was not so bad (which is an internal channel where they post a PPoint slideshow with tidbits about the hotel.) We tried to follow up the next morning when checking out and another, equally grumpy man just said they were going to get a technician to look into it but as far as our stay was concerned there was nothing they could do and we were getting a deal booking on Expedia anyway! Did I mention that the above ground pool is freezing and there is no one around to ask to put the stairs in place so kids (who are willing to freeze) can get in the pool? Essentially, the swimming pool can't be used.

Hi, First of all, the amount we payed 129 $CAD was too much for the quality of the hotel. (2) When we arrived, the receptionist tried to make me sign a paper stating the prize per night was 153 $CAD. He said the hotel had already debit 100 dollars from my credit card and the rest...53$CAD were still to be payed. (3) When I refused, he was really annoyed. (4) Everything is kind of old or not repaired: bed head lights were not working, when sitting on the flushing toilet it made a terrible sound as if it was going to fall apart, beleieve me and I weight 50 kilograms...

L’emplacement est parfait, la piscine bien que nous ne l’avons pas utilisé semblait propre. La vue est superbe.
Mais comme bien des établissements sur l’isle tout est défraîchie. La dame a l’accueil est très gentille, mais le personnel qui fait le ménage est vraiment bête et peu accueillant. Il y avait des chiens à côté de nous dans les chambres et ils nous ont dérangé tôt le matin. Mais sinon pour le prix, de nos jours, c’était correct.

Évitez cet endroit et économisez de l’argent. Chambre qui a une odeur terrible, aucune air climatisée donc il fait chaud pas possible. Une honte de louer un lieu comme celui-la. Les lieux ne sont pas entretenu. Cafard en arrivant assurez !!

Très déçu! NOUS N’AVONS PAS COUCHÉ DU TOUT À CETTE PLACE!!! Nous sommes restés 30 minutes et on en avait assez! Très chaud, malpropre,beaucoup de moustiques,aucun restaurant, personnel pas beaucoup disponible, chien de la chambre voisine qui jappe constamment! Nous avons pris une chambre à l’hôtel cap aux pierres! Mille fois mieux avec un service exceptionnel.

J’aimerais beaucoup être REMBOURSÉ pour ce désagrément. Je ne conseille pas cette place à personne.

Pas d’eau, wifi médiocre, manque de matériel ( pas de micro ondes, manque de drap et couverture, pas possibilité d’avoir de déjeuner. Bref…. Paysage à couper le souffle et c’est pas mal tout!
