The staff were very kind to us. We had booked a double room, but moved to the family room at a small extra cost - for more comfort. The breakfast is excellent. We will stay here again.

Good hotel
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good and we had a nice view of the canal from our room. It wasn’t the biggest room (there was only space for one bedside table) but the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. There was good safe storage for our bikes.

Location is perfect 3min walk from the train station and 5min from the centre. Breakfast and facilities in the room could be better but in general very satisfied in terms of cleanliness, quiet and located in a safe area. Heating in the room is fine but no AC in rooms which might be an issue in summer.

The Fletcher hotel is very accessible from the train station and this was great for us as we arrived late evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful but the restaurant was rather limited so we ate out, other than the first evening. Rooms are clean but on the small side and there can be noise from the street area. The hotel is in a good location for seeing around Middelburg.

Very old hotel. Very small room as basic as it can get. A bed, a chair and a small deck with a very basic shower. Uneven floor making the bed lean to the side.

Good location to be a tourist.
At less than a 5 minute walk to the city centre and easily accessible by car the hotel is well located to visit, shop, find a restaurant or take trips in the surrounding area. The room had been recently renovated. It was compact but well furnished. The walk-in shower design is poor resulting in the whole bathroom floor becoming wet if you take a shower. It was a spur of the moment decision to take a weekend break, we were not aware it was a busy weekend. The uplift applied by the hotel more than doubled the price per person per night. Quiet location, good breakfast.

Fantastic little hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, only gripe was the shower didn’t have a means of restraining the water from going all over the bathroom floor. But I can overlook that. The restaurant was superb and the food was of a really high quality. The breakfast had plenty to offer. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely hotel with great views across Middelburg. Great welcome when arrived as they remembered me from a previous stay. Rooms are clean and fresh with comfortable beds and great rain showers. The rooms can get very warm and there is no air conditioning but they have large opening windows. Highly recommended.

Light, bright and nice hotel with pleasant staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds with pillows a bit firm for my taste but fine. Able to get a family room with my 2 teenage daughters. Staircase was steep and possibly treacherous with narrow stair depth especially in center of spiral. Small elevator available if needed. Breakfast was fine. Everyone in the family found something to happily eat. Able to store luggage after checkout and borrow umbrellas.

Geen glazen en toiletartikelen in de badkamer. Eén stoel in de kamer en geen zitjes op het balkon, terwijl het uitzicht zo leuk is. Het beloofde 2-persoonsbed bleek 2 losse bedden te zijn. Wir haben eine Nacht im Familienzimmer verbracht, welches sehr gemütlich war und sogar einen Balkon hatte. Das Zimmer war frisch renoviert, vor allem das Bad sehr modern und das Zimmer über den Aufzug erreichbar.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war absolut in Ordnung. Es war für jeden etwas dabei und man saß sehr gemütlich im Restaurant.

Bedden waren goed. Kamer was ijskoud toen we toekwamen. Badkamer had geen verwarming. Dat was niet zo aangenaam. Douche was ook open waardoor de badkamer kletsnat was na het douchen.
Hotel op zich was mooi verzorgd. Kamers waren/werden netjes gepoetst.
Ontbijt was ok. Tweede dag geen borden meer, werd weinig aangevuld. Brood was aan de binnenkant nog bevroren.

Dit hotel scoort op bijna alle punten lager dan je van de prijs mag verwachten. We betaalden bijna 200 euro voor een overnachting en hadden helaas wel een en ander aan te merken. Het betreft een wat klassieker gebouw dat niet geheel stil of recht is, maar dat een nette vernieuwde badkamer had en prima kamers. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en de kamer was al ingericht voor ons als gezin (bank uitgeklapt en opgemaakt). Bij het ontbijt was een tafel gereserveerd voor ons. De lift had echter een keuringsdatum van 2017 en het viel ons op dat voor een familiekamer er geen beveiliging was achter het raam waardoor handige kinderen makkelijk uit het raam kunnen vallen. De locatie is perfect en we konden alle dagen de auto goed kwijt. Overal goed, maar de familiekamers moeten echt beter beschermd worden.

Omdat het een monumentaal pand is was er geen airco. Dus erg warm op de kamers en met de ramen open moeten slapen. Het hotel bevind zich op een zeer gehorige plek. Cet hôtel a ouvert en 1895 mais il reste peu de cette époque. Les chambres sont très petites, le rapport qualité-prix laisse à désirer. Même si le hôtel a été entièrement refait il y a quelques années, il ne répond pas vraiment aux exigences des voyageurs contemporains. Hélas. Sinon, la situation est idéale : en face de la gare, et à quelques pas du vieux centre.
