Nice spa hotel in Nijmegen

Good place to stay if you are visiting the area for business. The spa is included in the visit and people wear bathing suits (unlike most spas in the Netherlands). The breakfast buffet has a good spread and they keep it clean.

An oasis of calm

Friendly and effecient check-in. Good standard of bedroom with a balcony overlooking the gardens. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is always a disappointment but a HUGE bed which was super comfortable. Excellent breakfast albeit slightly surreal with some guests fully dressed while others were in their bathrobes - you can use the spa on the day you arrive, during your stay AND the day you check-out and people clearly make the most of this offer! We didn't have time to use the spa so can't give feedback on this but our stay has certainly encouraged us to return for longer next time!

We have come here regularly.
But have a few complaints.
If you stay in the hotel then why would we have to pay for parking?
And another one is if you think the extra price you pay for an upgrade to the superior deluxe room.
Don't its hardly any different than the normal deluxe room.the normal rooms have a balcony superior rooms don't.
My advice don't upgrade its not worth it.
In the rooms there are no coffee or tea facilities.
Another scam to force you to buy it at the in hotel cafe.
Spa is nice but after being here well over 6 times in the past 5 years.
I refuse to come here paying full price and then paying extra on top for parking!

You can get a bus there but its not convenient enough.

Parking is 7.5€

Friendly spa hotel in Nijmegen

Best thing about the Sanadome is the pool facilities. Many different hot tubs, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and more included in your stay. One of the few places where you can use the spa wearing swim clothes makes it comfortable for Americans. The rooms are decent, the breakfast bar has a generous selection, there are a couple restaurant options in the hotel (with pretty much the same food). The area doesn’t have a lot of things nearby and it is far from the city center, so you either want to go to the spa or you have business nearby. Sometimes I’ve had to change out the pillows for being smelly and there is no aircon. The weather is typically decent so I only wished for the aircon once in my stays here. Overall the best choice I’ve found in the area because of the spa.

not worth the money

The hotel was rather tired looking and it would be easy to double the price of a stay by merely adding the car park charges and charges for extras like bathing robes. there were no tea facilities in the room i know this is typical in Europe, but never the less worthy of a mention as I stayed in a cheap Champienelle ibis in France prior to this hotel and i had tea and coffee in my room?
I would personally look for somewhere else the next time i come to stay and thus voting with my feet.

Nice Spa Hotel - American size rooms

This is a great hotel, if you like your space. However it is a hotel room in the Netherlands, and standards are different. There are not a lot of amenities in the room (like hair conditioner etc.) but they are available at the front desk.

The breakfast is great, and the staff is very friendly. Great add-on is because it is a Spa hotel you can use all their amenities.

Not impressed.

•No A/C in the room.
•No complimentary coffee maker or tea.
•Spa water was way cold. 37C was the highest water.
•No shampoo&conditioner (all in one detergent is attached in the bathroom dispenser)
•Very old hair dryer. Take 30mins to dry your hair!

•Welcoming staff.
•Bike retail available for 7euro/day
•Good free breakfast.(great quality)

I'm originally from Asia so hot spring/spa expectation was completely different was this spa. Water was way too cold. It's almost swimming pool.

One of the best if not thee best I've stayed in

I stayed here for a couple of nights for a recent business trip and found this hotel to be fantastic. In my job role I have to travel quite a lot and therefore stay in a lot of hotels... I can safely say that I believe this hotel is one of the best, if not thee best hotel I have ever stayed in. It has everything you could possible wish for in a hotel. Good service, good food, good spa facilities, fantastic indoor and outdoor heated pools, multiple Jacuzzi's, free wifi, breakfast always included, the list here is endless... Will 100% stay here again if I'm ever in the area. Yes it might be slightly more expensive. Put it is worth every penny/cent.. Top hotel!!

Great hotel but bring your own pillow

This property is excellent in almost every aspect. Room comfort is generally excellent, but the pillows are the only weakness and the curtains do not completely darken the room. The restaurant is expensive, but the quality is also quite good and service, although slow, is also good.

A mixed bag

This hotel is somewhat of a mixed bag. The rooms are wonderfully clean and the pool facility is truly relaxing. The front desk is helpful with some free supplies like flip flops if you don't have any. However, the isolation of the hotel means that unless you want to cab somewhere else, you are stuck with their restaurant. We found this to be overpriced (25 Euros for Pad Thai) with slooooow service and so-so food. I think this hotel might be a good fit for people who had a car to drive to other food, but for us the on-site food had a negative impact on our stay.

EXCELLENT HOTEL NEAR NIJMEGEN

This property is excellent. There are only 2 issues that need to be addressed to make this one of the best properties on my list. 1. There are no pillow options - the pillow they offer is not the best and a hotel of this calibre should have a different pillow in the wardrobe and not the same type. 2. Dinner service is incredibly slow. I am a slow food advocate, but 2 hours for a meal is just unhealthy for the amount of time required to be seated. I would definitely return to this hotel. IT WOULD BE EXCELLENT IF EXPEDIA WOULD OFFER SOMETHING FOR BUSINESS TRAVELERS WHO SOMETIMES NEED TO CHANGE TRAVEL PLANS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK AND NEED TO CANCEL THEIR LAST NIGHT STAY. THIS WOULD MAKE THE HOTELS.COM EXPERIENCE BETTER.

This is an excellent spa hotel in a wooded area of Nijmegen. I have stayed a number of times when on business and find it to be the best hotel in the area. However it is not central and one has to be prepared to take a short taxi ride to your destination. There is a large and excellent swimming pool and spa.

Wonderful resort hotel, a destination rather than a place to stay. Extensive choice of thermal baths, indoors and outdoors, very modern design building and large comfortable rooms. Several restaurants, formal and informal -- great for couples or families. Quite remote from the city (Nijmegen), taxi to town available for Euro 11.00.

The Scandic Sanadome - good for a relaxing break

We spent 2 nights at the hotel on our way back to Amsterdam from Germany. It was initally difficult to find with our tom tom sat nav which directed us to a hospital. It was the third hotel we had stayed in on our holiday and we were very disappointed when we arrived - it was not at all as it appeared in the photos. It looked very much in need of renovation. Our room was very small for 2 adults and a child - it would have been a squeeze even for just 2 people. The carpet was really dirty. However, the bathroom was clean.
The plus point was the pool / spa area. We spent a whole day relaxing by the pool - it is not very child friendly though as we were told to be quiet and not splash etc although we were allowed to play in the outside pool if we wanted to. We appreciated though that it was more suited to adults. The staff were very friendly and on the evening made a special effort to cook something especially for our daughter.

Leider konnten wir den Schwimmbad und SPA Bereich nicht nutzen da es zu viele externe Besucher für den Bereich gab.
Es war auch nicht möglich als Hotel Gast eine. Kaffe am Pool zu trinken ohne sich komplett umzuziehen.

Netjes, schoon en vriendelijke medewerkers. Het uitgebreide ontbijt was heerlijk. Hotelkamer zelf is prima, maar de badkamer mag aandacht krijgen: temperatuur douche komt slecht op temperatuur en.. zorg voor een goede fohn. Met deze ouderwetse lukt het niemand om droog haar te krijgen :-)
We hebben fietsen gehuurd: de gewone fietsen zouden we niet aanraden, maar de electrische waren top!!

We hebben het echt heerlijk gehad. Lekker geslapen, hele stille kamer en lekker ontspannen in de baden. Toen wij er waren was het ook niet druk dus dat was heel fijn. Toch een klein puntje van aandacht: wij vonden dat de zwembaden echt beter schoongemaakt moeten worden. Bovenaan zag je echt van die randen die volgens mij simpel met een doekje weg te vegen zijn.
Wel vriendelijk personeel, we kregen nog een tegoedbon voor koffie toen ze hoorde dat het mijn verjaardag was.
Ook een heerlijke ontbijt.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding klopt niet. De kamer (badkamer vooral) is gedateerd. De welness heeft maar 2 kleine sauna’s en voor de rest baden. Als het druk is heb je als hotelgast ook geen bedje meer want alles is bezet. Als hotelgast moet je ook nog betalen om je auto te parkeren bij het hotel. Het was wel heel schoon, het personeel heel vriendelijk en professioneel. Maar de prijs die ze vragen klopt niet en is veel te hoog.

Wij hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf. Aardig personeel, zeer nette en schone kamer, heerlijk bed. Ook het wellnes gedeelte was fijn en schoon. Er was een foutje gemaakt rijdens het afrekenen. Hier kwam ik thuis achter. Contact opgenomen. Binnen 24uur had ik het, te veel betaalde, bedrag terug. Heel netjes.

Was een prima verblijf. De bubbelbaden zouden moeten verschillen maar er was geen verschil merkbaar (lavendel/dennen etc) niet geroken, jammer. Faciliteiten werken verder prima maar het ziet er toch wat gedateerd uit, de plastisch palmbomen in het zwemgedeelte draagt daar niet aan bij. Personeel is vriendelijk en snel, horeca prima. Weinig beschikbare bedjes/stoelen.

De kerstsfeer bij aankomst is prachtig. Kamer is ruim, met balkon. Lekker bed. Badjassen comfortabel. De baden waren heerlijk. Relaxte sfeer. Best druk. Systeem met bandjes erg handig. Het diner en ontbijt erg goed. Minpunt geen koffieapparaat en waterkoker op de kamer.

Eigentlich waren wir dort neun oder zehn male schon, wir mögen die Sauna Landschaft, gutes Bett, schöne Zimmer (man sieht,dass sie erneuern haben z.B. Haartrockner endlich moderner 👍) leckerer Frühstück. ABER der Service ist übertrieben langsam, und das immer. Wir kommen schon so viele Jahre und immer dasselbe, im Cafe UND im Restaurant des Saunalandschafts, und diesmal haben wir uns getraut und haben reserviert im Restaurant oben. Das Essen war sehr gut aber der Service wie unten an der Sauna soo langsam.

1. Er stond nog een vies glas in de douche.
2. We kregen netjes een pasje toen we aankwamen bij de receptie. Maar er was ons niet verteld dat we die in de paslezer moesten doen om om licht en stroom op onze kamer te krijgen.
Dit werd wel netjes uitgelegd toen we met dit probleem naar de receptie gingen!

Tolles Hotel mit sehr schönem Spa. Leider kein wirklich deutschsprachiges Personal wie es über Expedia beworben wurde. So dass weitere Anwendungen nur auf niederländisch und ggf. englisch erklärt/gebucht werden konnten. Leider war auch der Frühstückszeitraum 30 min verkürzt. Achtung auch beim Check-out, hier wollte man uns die Übernachtung zum zweiten Mal berechnen.
Dennoch würden wir Hotel & Spa erneut für ein paar Tage besuchen.

Ik had er meer van verwacht de spa viel heel erg tegen. Het buitenbad was erg koud. Het restaurant buiten bij het zwembad wordt je bijna niet geholpen ruim 20 minuten op een menukaart moeten wachten waardoor ik maar ben weg gegaan.

Sanadome, ****-thermen hotel. Als ervaren reizigers wekte dit bij ons verwachtingen. Als goldmember van Expedia zijn we nooit teleurgesteld. Altijd tevreden. We willen best een goed budget besteden en verwachten dan ook wat terug.
Sanadome, een ruime twee persoon kamer staat op de website. Als gold-member gedownsized naar een kamer die overvol was met weinig ruimte met vier aparte bedden (wij zijn net tweeen). Gemeld aan de receptie. O ja, dan halen we twee bedden weg. Zo gezegd zo gedaan, alleen vergeten de zwarte vloerbedekking te stofzuigen: rommel en stof onder de twee verwijderde bedden lag er. Wat overblijf was een ruime sfeerloze kamer met twee bedden. Site stond een schilderij, was er niet.
Thermen: 1 droge sauna, bij betreden lag er 5 cm water in de sauna, soort van onbedoeld voeten bad. Thermen baden zo druk dat je niet kom zwemmen. Onderhoud en staat van thermen laat te wensen over.
Kluis op de kamer defect. Kregen de volgende een spiksplinternieuwe, dat was goede service. Geweldig was het ontbijt: chapeau, heel veel keuze, erg vers en werd constant aangevuld. Tot slot: erg duur hotel met lage kwaliteit.
