The room was clean on arrival. However, the room was not cleaned for 5 days I was there. There was some coffe pods on the first day, then no replacements. I did ask for more coffee, milk and sugar. They gave 3 coffee, no milk or sugar.

Breakfast was okay, however the hot options were scrambled eggs and bacon. 2 days they did put on chicken sausages and beans. There were other continental options.

The evening menu was the same for every night. Except Sunday when it was closed.

Would not stay here again. To far out from everywhere.

Nice spacious hotel with friendly staff in lovely peaceful surroundings. Handy self serve shop in the foyer for snacks, drinks and those forgotten items, higher priced than your local store but what you’d expect for a hotel.
Reasonable sized room and large bed. Great selection for breakfast with hot and cold options. Hotel bar which didn’t appear to have any specific opening times. Overall a good priced nice hotel in a lovely area.

Great outdoor scenery, hotel charged me for extra person but when I arrived there was no extra bed, no extra towels. Needed to wait a full day for them to bring the bed, when I called, they said I can go down to the front-desk and get the extra towel for the extra person that 1 was charged for, myself. Customer service was bad!!! The breakfast was good, they have little robots riding around with plates etc, the outside greenery is luscious, beautiful, just relaxing.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It was in a lovely setting surrounded by trees. Our room had a terrace which was lovely to sit out in. We choose not to have the breakfast as we felt it was very expensive. I loved the swimming pool and Sauna. The steam room was unfortunately not working. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help. I was a bit disappointed by the restaurants at the hotel. It was advertised as having two but the Italian restaurant was not open. The other one was closed on Sunday and stopped serving food very early.
The hotel was situated in a perfect position for exploring Oosterbeek and Arnhem. It was a lovely walk into Oosterbeek and it was surrounded by woods were you could go on walks.

The hotel was amazing the room was immaculate the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was really good. The only let down was that it only had 1 restaurant open on the last day we was here and there was only 3 choices for a starter 2 choices for a main and 2 choices for a dessert. The hotel bar was only open on Thurs to Saturday. In my opinion the bar and the restaurant needs to improve a bit for a 4* hotel

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque town. We couldn’t explore the area due to the bad weather but we’d love to go back again. Friendly staff, breakfast was ok not much variety but it’s a small hotel so this is acceptable. For a 4-star hotel, I expected more bathroom amenities (there was only shampoo, shower gel and shower cap). I think one had to pay extra for slippers & bathrobe. But all in all we had a great stay! We recommend this place. Thank you, Bilderberg.

The estate grounds and building facilities were beautiful, landscaping and gardens, gym and pool, the bar and bartender were great. Our room was quiet, clean and with two ergonomic adjustments the room would be 5 star. Another way to move rating to 5 star is improve coffee experience in the morning. The pod machine in our room didn’t work and there were long lineups for guests who paid 25 euro for breakfast buffet. Brewing a couple of pots of coffee (I would gladly pay if there was an option) would make guests happy in the morning. My partner purchased the breakfast buffet and he enjoyed the food; he heard some unhappy guests because they arrived at 10:30. The desk should tell guests that doors close at 10:00 am and all food is removed at 10:30 to avoid guest disappointment. So very easy for them to become 5 star by focusing on guest experience.

I stay here whenever I'm in Oosterbeek. Very convenient for The Airborne Cemetery and Museum. The bus service into Oosterbeek and Arnhem is on the main road just outside the hotel. The hotel stands well back from the main road in woodlands. Parking is ample. The room was well prepared and clean. The bed was a little soft for me. The bath and shower are a combined unit and the bath surface was slippery. I was later advised by Reception that a bath mat was available and a note in the room to that effect would have been helpful. Apparently a refurbishment programme is planned to replace existing bath/ shower arrangements with a walk in shower. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner and the staff were very helpful throughout.

Area was very scenic in the countryside. However, spoons and milk were taken from the room after cleaning and once told, the staff replaced these but then took the green tea away! There was also no shower gel at the hotel and despite asking for some, we were still left with only copious amounts of shampoo and conditioner in our hotel room. Otherwise, a pleasant stay and staff were very friendly.

I was giving a battle field tour on both Saturday and Sunday and had a lot of material. As a regular stayer with you over the last decade and as someone staying for 6 nights I was disappointed to have such a small lift and I couldn't open my suitcase without lifting it up on to the bed each time.

The hotel is set back from the main road in very pleasant grounds. Check in and check out was very easy. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the dinner menu was a little restricted presumably as the hotel was quiet in terms of number of guests.
Car parking is easy. The bus service into Osterbeek and Arnhem is quick and the bus stop about 5 minutes walk.
The hotel is convenient for both the airborne museum and the cemetery

My tour group srated here for 2 nights, October 6&7, 2023. Thus is an amazing hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure tfeir guests needs are seen to. When we could not get a reservation for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, they called 6 different restaurants for us, and we eventually got reservations at the Schoonard - great choice. The onsite bar was well stocked with lots of choice. I'd last stayed here in October 2010 and was pleased to see the hotel still had the excelkent service i remembered. My only complaint is i found the tub a bit too high to step in and out of confortably. Would have preferred a walk in shower.

Advised at half empty restaurant that they had to check if we could be accomodated.8pm. Brusk sevice and outside seating closed presumably for conveience of staff. Restaurant 400m away on roundabout used next night great for food and servive in a stark comparison.

I’ve stayed here before and have known the hotel all my life. It’s in the most gorgeous surroundings but the building, rooms and outside could do with spruce up. Staff were v nice but breakfast needs some sort of system. (Also which hotel does not serve jam???) I won’t hesitate to recommend because of the area but it is no longer the place it once was.

Check in and check out were good. The room was clean and comfortable but i was surprised that there were neither tea/coffee making facilities in the room nor a fridge.

Admittedly they were not specifically mentioned in the room description but at many or most hotels it is standard practice. A more comprehensive description would have been welcome.
The bar was closed on my first night and the dinner menu was a little uninspiring but the food was of good quality.
Service from staff throughout the hotel was very good.
The purpose of my visit was to visit the cemetery and Museum in Oosterbeek for which the hotel is well located and Arnhem centre is an easy drive

Best choice near Arnhem

Excellent hotel with good facilities. Two points to note, little English language TV so none of the usual News channels, and check whether there is a conference on at the time you stay. My last night overlapped with a conference and the hotel was understaffed for the numbers attending and it was impossible to get into the bar or the main restaurant (which was closed to non-conference guests when the conference was on).

The Hotel is superbly located with a magnificent hood surrounding,It has a lot of charm and history, combined with modern facilities. The only dark point was a hot water \"shut-down\" for more than 12 hours. Also, the staff could be more regardful towards foreign customers. As an example of it, was the A4 sheet placed on the lift, written only in dutch informing the hot-water was not available.

Nice property on the outskirts of Oosterbeek, good location and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the Airborne Museum. Comfortable room and bed but we found it a little too warm - the heating doesn't go below 16 degrees which might be a problem for those who are warm sleepers. The hotel was undergoing some renovations when we were there, and Dutch construction workers seem to start work quite early! Other than that had a great stay. The buffet breakfast was very good and there is a good selection of bar food, as well as an Italian restaurant.

Hotel De Bilderberg, Ooesterbeek is perfect in every way: friendly, helpful, English speaking staff, clean, airy, light, comfortable bed & spacious room (we were in room 217). Have all the necessary facilities (lifts available, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning in room as well as free use of Indoor heated swimming pool (no lockers) spa/gym/Turkish bath & 2 hotel restaurants, free large car park). Surrounded by greenery & open space, ideal location for visiting historical sites/museums, restaurants/shops. Only a little over an hour's drive from AMS Schiphol airport. Buffet breakfast in the busy Julia's Kitchen restaurant was delicious (hot & cold items available). Advanced booking for dinner here highly recommended. Serving French/American cuisine.
Would return here to stay again! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Hotel is situated right next to the Bilderberg woods, ideal for walk and cycling. Very relaxing environment in which to unwind, and have been there are a few times over the years. Room had a newly refurbished bathroom although overlooked the kitchen so was a little noisy in the morning. Breakfast was good, although the hot options were limited (some had run out).

The hotel's common areas, location, and staff were all very nice. The room was very basic, however, lacking basic amenities besides soap, shampoo and towels. There was no in-room safe, no glasses for water, no hot water pot. While the room was comfortable and clean, the decor was quite dated and reminded me of a basic motel, from the 1970's. It had a really strange thermostat too, which I'm not sure I got to work.

A lovely part of the Netherlands, Oosterbeek

Great location and a lot to explore and see. Very nice area to explore local history and of course the WW2 history including the Operations to liberate The Netherlands. Great museums, and historical facts.
The local people were very welcoming.
The hotel was clean, star were very helpful, the food ws very good and the rooms comfortable.

This is a very nice hotel in the middle of a park. Perfect to enjoy a beer on the terrace after work! If you have problems sleeping, you should request a room in one of the wings. In the middle of the hotels, there is a noisy ventilator

Check in started badly. Arrived at midnight and it took 20 minutes to check us into the hotel. I booked on Hotels.com and elected to pay at the hotel. The desk clerk said it was pre-paid through expedia. Rather than argue I asked him to sort it out and I would be back the next day. Upon check out 2 days later the problem still happened. I paid on site but I'm now worried that I will be double billed. This seems to happen alot in Holland with Hotels.com . My final bill was more than what I originally booked for, as well. Very disappointed with the restaurant, Julia's Kitchen. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and when we arrived on a Saturday night at 8:30 pm for a nice meal they gave us a very much slimmed down menu which offered only three entrees ... the 'Market Garden' menu. I wish I was informed upon reservation that they would not be offering the full menu. Serving staff was quite nice but it would be nice if the servers spoke better english and were better acqainted with the menu and wine list. Overall, the hotel was clean, safe, and comfortable...which is much better than most Dutch countryside hotels which tend to be very minimalist.

The beds were comfortable although the room presented was not the room I paid for online. The room online was stated to be a double room with one double bed. Upon checking in, the room was a twin room. The reception did a poor job pretending to be surprised that it wasn't as advertised. Upon ckecking out, the receptionist tried to charge me again! I wouldn't stay here again, however the beds were comfortable.

Situated in a beautiful part of Oosterbeek in very pleasant grounds. The bike hire is highly recommended if you are visiting the nearby battlefields of Arnhem. Planning on coming back!

Pleasant hotel in beautiful setting

The hotel was beautifully situated in woodland, perfectly placed for the Hartenstein museum if you are visiting the Arnhem battlefields; it is about 15 minutes stroll away. The room was a decent size and clean, en-suite with bath, but slightly dated. Bed was very good. No tea and coffee in the room which would have been a big minus for us, except we always go prepared now with our own kettle! There doesn't appear to be any air conditioning, the room was quite stuffy at night. On the ground floor are several beverage machines and stations, but these are not for the use of private guests, they are reserved for corporate conferences. Our only reservation with this hotel is that as a couple we felt slightly second class, the hotel's priority is with its corporate clients (we were politely asked to move during our lunch in the bar to make room for a corporate event). The swimming pool was pleasant and not crowded. Be aware when looking for the hotel, that there are 4 different Bilderbergs in the locality. The front doormat takes on a malodorous smell when wet, but don't let that put you off (we mentioned this to the staff)!

Rather basic hotel

Don't expect too much from this hotel. It's not 'terrible', but it's also 'nothing to be crazy about'. It provided basic service for relatively good price. Some hotel staff (definitely not everyone, but decent percentage though) is not quite friendly and you get feeling from their communication that you are rather 'accepted guest' and not 'welcome'. They seem love to argue about anything - but maybe it's dutch folklore so I may be wrongly accusing them.
Breakfast is extremely basic - even the cheapest motels on German highways have better selection. (Typical hint are always minimalistic glasses and watery orange juice - saving 'extreme' amount of money probably). At least bakery was very fresh and perfect, although not much to choose from.

I thought it was just my experience, but surprisingly more of my colleagues who stayed there at the same time had same feedback.

Bilderberghotel - a sense of tranquility

The only bad thing I can say about this hotel was that I was only there for one night. Very friendly staff, well appointed and a great location. Whilst the rooms were not the most modern they were clean, quiet and entirely functional.

Restaurant was very good, if a wee bit pricey but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

If I am in the area again, I would certainly go back.

Needs updating

The Bilderberg is in a lovely location, but location only is not what majority of gusests are looking in a hotel - its the whole package location, cleanliness, quality staff and good service.
Simple this let this hotel down:
1) cobwebs covering a large section of the ceiling!!
2) outdated TVs in rooms
3) dirty swimming pool
4) if the rooms were painted with in modern colours then they would not seems so out dated!!

Please sort it out!
Lovely Italian Resturant if a little expensive!!

a countryside lovers pearl

This is a very nice hotel, sitting in a peaceful location just outside Arnhem. It's 5/10 mins from downtown by car, or 20 mins by bicycle. Being inside a park the place is very quiet and relaxing, Excellent quality restaurant, for service and great food, and there are also 2 good bar/cafe, inside the building.
I didn't use the swimming pool or tennis court, but they look in a good state of maintenance. The room is very clean and comfortable and all in all this hotel is a very good bargain for the price paid. Definitely recommended.
I'll be happy to come again when visting this area.
